I came here on Saturday night for dinner with my siblings and had a great time. We had made a reservation but apparently it was not in the system. Thankfully, we still got a table right away. To drink, I had the peachy leachy, which was so refreshing. To eat, I had the Wagyu steak and noodle bowl, which was very tasty. It is very seasoned and a bit spicy so if you prefer your meals simpler, do not order this dish. I liked it but I do think if it had less sauce, I would be able to taste the meat better as the flavors can be a bit overpowering. Overall, the service was amazing. Our server was friendly, funny and attentive. It was a big party, yet there was no issue with the food or payment. There was a DJ playing music but we were able to still talk. Tap 42 in Doral is one of my favorite staples in Miami. I've been to several of their locations, and this one definitely keeps up the great vibe and experience. They do have valet here, and they validate it for you in the restaurant, which ended up being about $5 after validation. We walked in without a reservation, and it was fairly empty, so we got seated right away. The service was great, our drinks came out quickly and were delicious. I got my two favorite dishes: the Wagyu steak noodle bowl, which is amazing and super flavorful with a bit of a kick, and the Salmon Zen bowl, which has a truffle glaze and is one of the best salmon bowls I've ever had. The ambiance is great, it's a really nice spot with a fun, laid-back like a sports bar, yet stylish vibe. I'll definitely keep coming back to Tap 42 and continue enjoying their food and drinks! read more

On a work trip and stopped in for a quiet dinner at the bar. Had the fried chicken salad which was super tasty as well as being a generous portion size. (I was only able to finish half of it.). Had a margarita with dinner as well. The margarita was just OK for the price (I'm from San Diego and rather picky about margaritas.). Service was great. Bartender was nice and didn't rush me as I hung out and took care of emails. I liked the dining area. Lively but not too loud. This is a spot we go often with my best friend at the end of the night. We sit at the bar and eat. Our favorite is the tuna tartare with the Malanga chips, the chicken wings, lettuce wraps and a beer. We have had more of the menu and most items have been good. I sat at the bar and ordered the Drunken Goat because I like goat cheese and was curious about it. It was good (4/5), and as expected, the goat cheese flavor was predominant. I went on December 22nd for my daughter's birthday. They gave us a side room since there were 12 of us. We went right after playing at Escapology which was a great time. Please see my review for insight on playing an escape room. We ordered the tuna tartare which is one of my favorite appetizers ever and it did not disappoint. I had the margarita which was perfect. We also ordered the calamari, the short ribs slider, the philly cheesesteak egg rolls and the spinach artichoke dip. Everything was delicious, it was brought out warm and quick. I did not have an entree since I was too full from the appetizers but my group, most order burgers. I had a small bite of both Prohibition and the Big Smash. Woozie! Got in late this afternoon and we were exhausted and hungry after flying from KY to Miami. At first I just wanted to go to McDonalds but I knew if we were only gone for a little bit I would fall asleep to early tonight. So, we decided to venture out to Tap 42. I saw it on Yelp and It had good reviews. We were seated right away, around 5:30 on Saturday night. Our server was at our table within 2-3 minutes. Since we knew what we wanted, we ordered right away. I ordered The Big Smash and Janet ordered the Prohibition Burger. I ordered a beer called The Tank and Janet ordered The Funky Buddha. Our beers were brought to us pretty quickly. We both tried each of them. Delicious. Our food arrived in about 7-8 minutes. Unlike many places who cook and serve burgers, they suggested we have them medium well. A tad pinkish but juicy and delicious. The fries, a LOT of fries were fantastic. The ketchup and fry sauce were really good. Even though we were both pretty full, I ordered Key Lime Pie and it was amazing. Tart and creamy. Since this was probably the first authentic key lime pie I ever had, my judgement might be different than someone who has had a lot of key lime pie. Service was good and everyone was very friendly. Only complaint, and it's a common one with me, the music was too loud and it was almost impossible to have a conversation. That seems to be a theme at restaurants these days. read more

Popped in here for a bite to eat while on a business trip. This was near my hotel (SpringHill Suites) and I walked over as parking at the restaurant is metered. The area surrounding Tap 42 is very cute and after dinner we walked around to exploring the charming area. For dinner, my colleague and I both had burgers and fries. We sat outside on the very comfortable patio and had a delightful waitress who we chatted with about the area, having never been to town ourselves. She and her fellow restaurant staff provided great service throughout our visit. Whoever was in charge of the playlist also had a nonstop list of 2000s jams. We sang along a few times! The burger was very tasty and sizable for a filling meal. My colleague really enjoyed the truffle fries while I thought my regular fries were also awesome. The menu is fairly substantial and varied enough that anyone could find something that interests them. I'll be back in the area in a couple months and will likely eat here again! read more

Forgot to take pics of the appetizers but my favorite appetizers are the street core guacamole and spicy salmon crispy rice! For entree I had the salmon zen bowl and it was so flavorful, my son got the burger which was good and my husband got the best thing on their menu which is the steak sandwich! It literally melts in your mouth and the truffle flavor is literally everything! The service was also great! They changed the recipe or source and hence the flavor changed. Bad decision. Ordered the skirt steak. It was average at best. And their "chimichurri" sauce? Terrible Terrible Terrible! I won't be ordering this again. I believe they changed the chimichurri sauce as well. Overall, at best, 3 stars. Would be a 2 star if the service was bad. I think there are other plates that are better. I won't order the skirt again. **UPDATE** My server went to the back to advise the kitchen and it was then they discovered whoever made it fit the day forgot to add the cilantro. I love Tap 42!!! I have been for dinner and brunch and bottomless mimosas and it never fails to be delicious. If you go for dinner the guacamole as an appetizer is a must. For dessert the tres leches is phenomenal as well. My fiancé and I had too much fun when we went for brunch and bottomless mimosas as well. The bartenders were super friendly at the bar and the music was great and everybody seemed to be having a fun time. Will be back shortly for sure! read more

No loud music and we closed down the place on a Sunday at 10pm (they are open later on other nights). Wouldn't hesitate going back and neither should you! Protip: valet park, get validated by server and even with tip it's cheaper than parking garage (at least on weekends, weekdays you get two free hrs at garage). My friend and I stopped in and found some seats at the bar. We ordered some peachy lychees which were absolutely delicious! Our servers were greet and came around regularly to check in on us. We decided to share a half rack of ribs with fries. The ribs were yummy and tender. The fries were also good as they felt like maybe they double fry?
