My ladyfriend and I extended our Sunday Funday with a quick stop here. Located in the 2nd floor of Doral CityCenter, we were drawn in by the lively salsa and reggaeton. We posted up by the bar and enjoyed her usual Pinot Grigio (I had a few sips). The sound system & DJ were great and the nitrogen blasts almost got us back to our younger days of clubbing. I was taken here for my birthday and unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The service was poor the waitress barely came by our table. The food wasn't great either. I ordered the steak sandwich, which is made with churrasco, but the meat was tough and chewy. I ended up eating just the meat because I was starving, but I left the bread. The one highlight was the drinks, and they were actually pretty good. Also, I've heard they do events and line dancing, so maybe that's when the place really shines. But as far as a sit-down dinner goes, it's not somewhere I'd return. Also worth noting: they automatically add an 18% gratuity, which might explain the lack of attention from the staff. read more

Well what was date night to enjoy our own DJ Laz went south very quickly. I made reservations for 8:45 for two traveling from Homestead to Doral (not an easy task) spent 30 minutes looking for parking and when we got there 5 minutes early we were told that our table wasn't ready. No problem. We ordered drinks at the bar and waited and waited and waited. After an hour and change we see a table open up but a group that came after us in fact they just got there were seated. When the wife went to ask she was told that "they know the server" and then told us we still had to wait! Well that didn't go over very well. We have been there several times and always enjoyed a great time great service and enjoyed our selves not tonight. They need to not only take a reservation but to keep it. Sorry guys but I will chalk this up to having a bad night. Not sure if we will be back any time soon. Need to work on it. We ended up at Kuba Cavana instead. read more

I've been here before for brunch and it was pretty decent. On Saturday night, I came here to celebrate my sisters' birthday and we had a blast. There was live music and an amazing playlist when the DJ was playing. The place was full but it was not overly crowded. The bathroom was also clean. We had beers and margarita, which were great. We only drank that night so I cannot feedback on the dinner plates. The only thing I would note is that the service was not the best and there was error on the bill. read more

It was my first time here and if I had to describe it in just one word it would be -LOUD. Now, depending what you're looking for, this can be good or bad. I came with my bestie and was looking for a fun but quieter place, as I was hoping to be able to carry a conversation comfortably. If that's what you seek, go elsewhere. This place is a very fun vibe! Packed! Intensely loud. This is a place that is excellent for a fun group gatherings to drink and possibly dance a bit without talking too deeply. The waitresses were all really pretty and sweet. Their outfits are quite skimpy, so perhaps not a place I'd take my kids or minors. Food was decent. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich but the chicken came out grilled. Weird. But I didn't mind as I actually prefer grilled chicken over breaded/fried/crispy anyway, so it worked out. Terrible service by Melanie at Cooper Blues in Doral City Center. We were a party of three and had just sat down when Melanie approached our table with an extremely arrogant and prepotent attitude. From the beginning, she made us feel uncomfortable, as if we were an inconvenience instead of paying customers. We ordered two Diablitas from the menu and asked if we could change the tequila. She said yes. We specifically asked if they had Casamigos mezcal, and she confidently replied, "Yes, we do." My husband even said how lucky we were to have it available. Later, when we confirmed with the bartender, we were told they do NOT have Casamigos mezcal. That means either she lied to us or she does not know her own bar menu, which is unacceptable. On top of that, we were drinking and she never even brought us water. Basic service was completely ignored. When I brought the situation to her attention, instead of apologizing or trying to fix it, she confronted me in a rude and disrespectful way, speaking to me as if I was not even her customer, but someone off the street. Her tone was aggressive, dismissive, and very unprofessional. Not once did she apologize. What made the situation even more clear was that Maria, the bartender, noticed something was wrong after I went to buy two more drinks directly from her. She came to our table to ask if everything was okay and sincerely apologized on behalf of the establishment and for Melanie's behavior. That shows what real customer service looks like. Customer service is about honesty, respect, and accountability. Unfortunately, Melanie showed none of those qualities. We were misinformed, neglected, and treated with disrespect. This experience completely ruined our visit and management should seriously address this behavior. read more

Cooper Blues looks nice and definitely has a fun, energetic vibe. Unfortunately, the music was way too loud -- extremely loud. It was impossible to have a conversation with my date, even when trying to talk loudly. While the atmosphere and décor are appealing, the volume completely took away from the experience. What a shame, because this could be a great place if the music were turned down to a more reasonable level. The place looks great and has a lively feel, but the music at Cooper Blues was uncomfortably loud. It made it nearly impossible to talk with my date, which really ruined the night. I understand wanting an energetic atmosphere, but this was over the top. Disappointing, because the space itself is nice and has a lot of potential. read more

During a girl's night out, we stopped in at Copper's a couple of months ago to have a couple of drinks and listen to music. The ambiance was lively, loud, and lots of happy people. There is indoor and outdoor seating, whichever you prefer. We sat inside. The decor was really cool with pink/blue lighting. Comfortable seating. We loved the live music! Everyone was dancing! The food smelled so good, but we had already eaten. We ordered drinks and those were very good. We just wanted to cut loose and have fun. The crowd was a mix of all ages. There is a parking garage right around the corner, a short walk away. Copper's is on the second floor. There are large elevators to take you there. You can walk around upstairs and look at the CityPlace view. We will go back again. read more

Drinks are good, but nothing crazy. I've only gone on thursdays for happy hour, and cocktails during happy hour are $10. Music is kind of wack, and the food only eat if you are desperate and can't wait to eat later. I honestly would only enjoy a cocktail or two here, that's about it. read more

Came here for a special event of the MTV Challenge premier. The pub itself is very large and has lots of seating. There are two different bar areas as well if you don't want to be seated at a table. Service was very nice and attentive, especially on a very busy special evening. My husband got a beer and I ordered a Mojito mocktail. The drink was very good and I was happy! Always a great time at the Copper Blues location in Doral. There's plenty of parking available in the parking garages and it's a big venue too! There's bar seating inside and outside and plenty of tables inside and sometimes there's a dance floor too for special occasions. It's a great spot for locals in the Doral area and there's always something happening at night whether it's country night on Thursday or a band is playing another night or on the weekends there will be a DJ. The happy hour menu is solid too and there is an incredible large selection of delicious cold beers served here by an awesome and attentive staff. Things that weren't great: - The menu online is wildly different than what is available in the restaurant - Not a single staff member could identify what is vegetarian. They were unwilling to inquire with the kitchen. - No water was provided, even after asking multiple times We ordered the Nachos (as a safe vegetarian bet) - and I was not happy that our did not live up to the meat-version. Our version left off all the toppings (pico, jalapeno, crema) - and when asked why it was different the service staff said "that's how it comes" There is an automatic 18% Gratuity on your bill - regardless of group size. I was there for the grand opening of this place and had not been back since. Surprisingly, I can see why people, especially the ones that love the bar scene, love it. It's a fun place to people watch, listen to some pretty good live music and the food is actually pretty good too. Food -- The menu is limited and comprised of your usual bar food staples. The plates are shareable and delicious in their own right. Ordered: *The nacho platter which comes with chicken, but can be substituted for another protein, was incredibly abundant with all the fixings, including the chicken, and was delicious and very flavorful. This is a great dish to share if you're not immensely hungry. *Chicken caesar salad - creamy and flavorful and also big enough to share. No croutons which is not really a deal breaker. *All dishes that I saw around me were proportionally big and they all looked mouth-watering good. Drinks -- They have a good selection and the prices are not going to break the bank; and if you go during HH, Mon-Fri, the drinks are a couple of dollars cheaper, so it's a win-win. Service -- Plus: Yami, our server, was charming, hospitable, and knowledgeable of the menu and she provided some good food options. Ambiance -- It's next to the improv so you'll see tons of people coming and going. It's definitely a "grown up" place and not really a family-friendly one. Option is to venture out during the day when things are not as "lively" and the crowd is not as risqué. One thing though -- The bathrooms and place itself need to be cleaned up a bit better. Made a trip to the ladies room and it seemed like it had not been cleaned up in days with trash everywhere and the smells to match...and this was a Saturday afternoon. On Friday nights this place is poppin! Checked it out with some family and friends and it was packed with everyone looking like they were having a great time. I didn't get to try any food so this review will focus on the experience as a whole. If you come after 8pm it's hard to find a table or non crowded space. It's really as if you're inside of a club how much energy there was inside with people on the dance floor and crowding at the bar. The DJ played hits all night from different years and genres so it was nice to hear a variety of mixes. Since there was a lot of us, we decided to order a bottle and not have to deal with long wait time for drinks since it was really packed. The soda that came with had an issue with it and we didn't notice it until after our waiter poured cups for everyone. So thankfully, the manager on duty was understanding and got us new bottle so that salvaged the experience The food menu looked good, so if I go again during the day I'm sure to update this review. read more

Definitely worth mentioning however in case you plan to pop in with kids and/or someone sensitive to scantily dressed servers. Overall vibe was poppin' food was great but service was soooooo slow. We were literally seconds away from just walking out because no one would come to take our orders. That in itself was extremely frustrating and therefore not worthy of a 4 or 5 star rating. This bar is located on the second floor of Doral Cityplace and is a really fun spot! We went for dinner and the menu was great with tons of bar type food options. I got a delicious Buffalo pizza and an espresso martini both of which were delicious. My boyfriend got wings which he loved but they only come with 6 pieces. The music is loud and definitely feels like you're at a club if you sit inside. There's a DJ playing Latin songs and a ton of people dancing. As you can imagine, I have been to many bars and night clubs in my time, definitely more than I am willing to admit to, and I must say, places like Copper Blues are rather unique and hard to find. I am only jealous that I can't figure out their marketing strategy because whatever it is, it is definitely working. I have gone to Copper Blues on different days of the week and at different times, and yet the place always seems to be packed, or at least busy and hopping. I went there today early afternoon and if the sun wasn't shining brightly in the sky, you would have thought it was midnight Saturday. There was a DJ playing and dancers were dancing on top of the bar. Every now and then they would pickup a bottle and pour drinks down the mouth of whoever asked for it. The smoke machine kept going off, the music was loud, and everyone seemed to be having a great time, some had too much of a good time and and were to leave, even though they could barely walk. All this before 2 pm. That's getting your Sunday off the a quick start. Overall, the place is busy all the time, so it should be expected that things can get delayed. The bartenders can get very busy, and sometimes you can find people who cannot handle their drinks, but for the most part, this it is the liveliest place in town and it never seems to stop. Copper Blues definitely has a vibe of its own, which may not be for everyone, but I sure enjoy it. read more

Met a group of friends for a farewell party. It's on the second floor of Cityplace Doral so nice views over the circle. Glad we sat outside. The music was so loud two of our group lost their voice because they were shouting over the music. Dont get me wrong, the music was awesome but too loud for a dining establishment where people should be able to carry on a conversation. I always think places like that are trying to hard. The food was great. I had the burger and tater tots. The burger was a perfect medium and super juicy. We also had the wings with a side of fries. The fries are addicting and the wings were delicious. We had a bucket of beer but others had cocktails and all said they were delicious. Service was very good, attentive without being overbearing. Turn the volume down from 250 to 95 and it's worth a repeat trip. read more
