We went yesterday and it has changed a bit. I love that it was decorated for the FIFA World Cup. We ordered from Un Pollo and the food was delicious! We had the chicken, potatoes and sweet plantains. We ate inside since it was a bit hot outside and the service was great. I'll definitely be back whenever we want to hang out in Doral. A colleague of mine recommended this spot because she knows I love discovering new places that serve great cocktails and amazing food. Even better? A place that's family-friendly, date-night-friendly, and perfect for a group of friends to hang out and have a good time. Doral Yard is exactly that. It's a hodgepodge of several restaurant booths along with a central bar and plenty of seating options. Everyone can order from a different vendor, which I absolutely love. If you're in the mood for sushi, your kid is craving Spanish food, your significant other wants a burger and fries, and your parents are in the mood for pizza -- there are so many options for every palate. When I went, I ordered from Poke Kai. I had the Tuna Poke Burger -- crispy rice "buns," raw tuna, eel sauce, scallions, cilantro sauce, spicy mayo, Kai salad, avocado, and sesame seeds. So good! My son ordered two sushi rolls: Mauloa Roll - salmon, cucumber, scallion, crab, fried shallots, and unagi mayo. Moana Tuna Roll - tuna, cream cheese, scallion, crab, tempura flakes, togarashi mayo, and lemon zest. My partner ordered from another vendor called YIP. He had miso soup and Peking duck bao. Of course, I also had to try the drinks from the bar (The Bar at The Yard). I ordered: NOT A PEAR IN THE WORLD ($16) - Patrón Reposado tequila, lime juice, Chile Ancho Reyes, prickly pear syrup, and Firewater Tincture bitters. WATERMELON SUGAR ($14) - Hendrick's gin, lime juice, mint, fresh watermelon juice, and simple syrup. Both drinks were super refreshing -- and one definitely had a spicy kick! This food hall offers food from various vendors so it's a great option for large groups to accommodate everyone's tastes. However, their website, which is where you order from, needs some updates. You can't customize most items so you have to order them as is or go physical to the vendor to order. They also don't bring you the food, which is not very convenient. We went to check out this cool food hall 1 mile from my hotel. Alot of things going on here, busy are full of restaurants and bars. The entrance is on the side street. There's food trucks, food stalls, outdoor bar and indoor bar. Music was playing outdoor and indoor. It was still hot outside so we decided to go check out the food stalls inside the indoor bar. Had a fun visit to this food hall. What we really enjoyed was the variety of food choices and the ease of ordering through the app. What we didn't like was the music was way too loud and host didn't explain anything to us so we had to figure it out. The food was delicious. We absolutely loved the charcuterie board. It was beautifully presented and made with fresh, high quality ingredients. We also loved the poke bowl, shrimp dumplings and nachos. The sushi was excellent as well. The cocktails were good and priced around $17-19 dollars which is typical. This place looked great online and and the pics looked like it was so much fun. It was a huge disappointment. There was no live music and the muzak was terrible. It was really crowded and people were getting annoyed with each other. The rotisserie chicken restaurant was very weird. I ordered a half chicken with two sides (fries and plantains). The cashier stated that fries were only an option for kids meals and not for adults. I thought she was kidding. Nope! She wouldn't let me order fries. She said that the manager wants it that way. I walked away feeling like I was in a non-reality world. After explaining what happened, my wife went back there and tried to negotiate with the woman. She was unsuccessful. My wife told her that this was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard of. So she ordered two kids meals (quarter chicken) and fries. She actually tried to order plantains as a side and the woman replied, "Plantains are only for adults. You cannot order them for kids. Kids meals only come with fries." Out of control, right? Needless to say, I won't be going back to this outdoor area anytime soon. The restaurants are overpriced and there isn't enough space for everyone. read more

The food is great- Lot of options available for every craving. We had a parrilla from the pollo place indoors. Rosa was very friendly and attentive. My friends tried the Mia biggest empanadas which tasted great - though the dough was. A bit sweet (something to keep in mind). The Asian poke bowls were tasty and good portions. I also absolutely loved how they decorated for Christmas. Thursday was ladies night so we had an option of complimentary margarita, lemon drop or mojito until 9 pm. We are new to the area and have been here for several World Cup games. In short, we love it! The vibe is super cool, there are so many food and drink options, and everyone is so nice! It was ladies night so the drinks were free until 9, and even though the drinks were free the service was quick and kind, which isn't always the case for free events. You have a choice to eat at restaurant inside or come to the "yard" and hang out and listen to music. We got a mix of different places to try, and they were all fantastic. To start, we got shrimp shumai from Yip, and udon noodles also from Yip, AND to finish off the meal, we got half a chicken and two sides (garlic aioli potatoes & hallaquitas de maiz) from Un Pollo. We stopped by for the first time since they were having their "movies at the yard" and it was the perfect family time to enjoy with our son. They included free popcorn which was a great and unexpected touch, and the lady working there was incredibly sweet and helpful refilling our water as needed. There's a few food truck options as well as other restaurants around, we ordered from Sufrat and it was delicious! The one thing I would say it's needed is those fly fans for the tables, there were a lot of flies which got pretty annoying as we received our food. It was of course hot since it's late July but there were plenty of fans around so the heat wasn't a big issue. Overall we had a great time and we can't wait for the next Movie so we can stop by again! read more

I have come to this establishment many times in the past however a recent experience left a very sour taste in my mouth. All thanks to the incompetent manager Jason. Typically you come and sit wherever you'd like as this place is laid out like a food hall. However, apparently things at this place change from one day to the next and the management does not make any indications of that to clients. No one was at the host stand and yet people are supposed to be expected to know that there was a waitlist implemented that day. No signage, no employees at the front, no indication of any of that. Never before have I been a paying customer at a place and been kicked out of a table, once already beginning my meal. And to make things worse, the manager Jason made a complete scene. I will not be returning here again where patrons are made to feel neglected for taking a seat to eat the food they already paid for in the establishment. read more

I'll probably come for a longer time was only here to buy some time for the Nutcracker show, but I do have to say that the drink I had was amazing and the service was pretty fast. Our server was friendly. The ambience was more of a darker feeling. I feel like it was more for like if you're with a couple but overall I liked the atmosphere. I would recommend others to come and try this place. Ok so I decided to go back after the Nutcracker show and the food that I ordered was good, it was wasn't amazing but did taste good. The drink I had for dinner was not like the first drink I had earlier, it tasted like a mimosa even though it wasn't one. I can say that the overall experience was still good. I would personally rate The Doral Yard a 3.8 if I could that's my personal opinion, but I would still recommend people to go try it out. read more
