I came to Zey Zey to a free concert with a friend. We came to see Electric Kif, followed by The Headhunters. The genre was fusion jazz, it fit the airy ambience perfectly. The open space is really nice, seeing the bands play in a type of oasis. There are some covered areas but not enough in case of rain. The uncovered areas include the stage. Five stars, and not just because there were other fellow 50 year olds in the audience! I came here for the first time last night to watch a DJ set by Roosevelt. His "Midnight Version" track list, a nice mix of danceable downtempo EDM & some breaks, was perfect for the outdoor stage framed by palm trees. His musical style is almost like that of Kaskade. The ZeyZey space itself is a lot in Little Haiti that has both older two-story home, which makes up the base of the main stage as well as a smaller bungalow, which is the space for either up-and-coming DJs or private parties. As I mentioned in the introduction, the crowd was a mix of young and not so young fans of good music. The energy of the crowd and the music was a reminder to me of the original days of club space. The space can get a little cozy / crowded. As far as drinks, they have like three different bars on the outside patio. I of course, went for their rum cocktail, the "Naked Pineapple". A little on the sweet side, this was a blend of Havana Club Anejo Blanco with coconut and pineapple mixers. It was smooth enough for a perfect Friday night get down. Food wise I enjoyed both the Al Pastor and roasted chicken tacos from the on-site "Wolf of tacos" (separate review incoming). I would certainly recommend them for a with great beats! read more

Zey Zey is a great newish venue in Miami, in the Little River area. I've gone for a an antique market and most recently for two concerts. It's a great concept - you have the main stage and then an indoor area for DJs. There's about 3 bars, food, and even a natural juice. Bathrooms are a bit limited but good air conditioned options. The sound system is good and it's a chill venue compared to more rowdy venues in Miami. The decor is fun and there are some sitting options near the front of the venue. I will say it's quite tough to see the stage if you're not in one of their wood dock areas that are usually reserved for VIP. Now that's it's approaching summer, it would also be beneficial to have more fans throughout the venue. Definitely a great spot to see live bands and DJs! read more

I went to Zey Zey back in May for a concert of Cheo Pardo, a key member of Los Amigos Invisibles, and it completely blew my mind. The patio area was the perfect size, it was packed but didn't feel crowded at all. The whole vibe made it seem like we were at a private show. It was also very fun to watch the guest musicians hanging out with everyone and suddenly hopping on stage to play. I'm not usually a club person so I almost didn't go, but I'm so glad I did. The place, the energy, Cheo, and all the guests made a fantastic performance and created the perfect atmosphere for our group to have an awesome night. Hope to be back soon ! read more

Zey zey is quickly becoming my fave go to venue for shows. I came to a few events during Miami music week formerly known as winter music conference. I love the outdoor space area where you can watch your DJ or musical performance, dance, sit around on the patio chairs and the outdoor bar. There's an inside space albeit a historic house which gives a more intimate feel with the musical act you're experiencing. 2 shows one venue. And it all comes together with a huge old beautiful tree in the center courtyard. The venue definitely has charm. I love the vibe. No fuss. Everyone welcomed. My favorite venue for live music that I've ever been to! It's like a low-key backyard patio with lots of plants, lights, and the stage is a foot or so off the ground so it's a very intimate experience being that close to the artist if you're in the front like we were. Parking is free across the street in a lot that fills up quickly. They had a food vendor in the front yard making tacos that smelled incredible. I came here to enjoy some live music, and the artist they had was absolutely fantastic really talented and made the night worth it. However, I had a frustrating experience when I went to buy a drink. The board clearly said $15, but I was charged $20. I can understand tax adding a dollar, but they also added a 25% tip automatically without telling me. That's not okay. I would've gotten another drink, but not when the staff decides what tip they're giving themselves. I didn't feel like arguing in the moment, but it left a bad taste. This place has many different events of different kind. The event I attended was for the solstice where they had multiple activities and a music set at the end. The activities felt very crowded and uncomfortable since people had to lay down, extend arms, sit down for a long time and There are only a few chairs and benches; if you come for a long event bring your own chairs or cushions. For dancing the place is fun and the lights and sound are pretty nice. There are only 2 bathrooms in the back which tend to get super crowded, 2 bathrooms inside which were for staff only and I didnt realize until I left that there are extra bathrooms in the front. Love the inside/ outside vibe, the decoration and central tree in the venue really makes it feel like you're not in Miami. Very chic and they curate and host truly amazing artists. A place for the creatives for sure, place to go out no high-heels needed. Renovating the inside historic Miami home to a venue is quite iconic with a grand piano-style dj booth in the middle of the dance floor and whenever they host an event or have food you know it'll be great. I want to update my review to share exactly what happened on the night of November 8, around 11:20 p.m. I was completely disrespected by a bartender at the outside patio. After she completed my transaction, I tried to politely address the situation, but instead of resolving it professionally, she went and told a bouncer to "kick me out." Even the bouncer appeared confused by what was happening. I have urged management to review the camera footage from that night and take this matter seriously. As a Jewish person, I clearly felt targeted and disrespected -- it was an experience that felt antisemitic and deeply disappointing. What makes this even more upsetting is that I used to be a regular at this venue and genuinely enjoyed it before this incident. I truly hope management investigates and ensures no other guest is made to feel this way. read more

Five shining disco stars for Zey Zey! This venue has events and live music. Such a versatile spot and it equates to a great Saturday night out with friends. I have disclaim by saying that I am a certified homebody and my grandma tendencies show when friends ask me to go out on a Saturday night. Came out this past weekend for a friend's birthday and I'm so happy I did because it was the best time I've had in quite a while. This spot is right across from Magic 13 Brewery- we started the night there and ended at Zey Zey. We bought tickets for their Love & Lust disco takeover and they were only $10. This is such a great ticket price for a night out in Miami and I really hope this price range doesn't change anytime soon. I wasn't really sure what to expect since we just bought the tickets on a whim for our friend's bday... was it a club? A bar? But it was such a great venue that pleases the masses. They had live vendors outside that were randomly fun and a bar in the front. In the "house" they had the main dance floor, disco ball, and a DJ plus a guy on the bongos for this disco takeover. If you like the intimate dance setting, this area was so fun. Outside in the back, it was a lot bigger than I expected. This is usually where they have live music and/or DJ with a lot of open space, plus bar and some food vendors. Such a fun space to hangout and chill if you want it a bit more open. I can see this area also getting packed with the right DJ/musician here but I'm glad it wasn't too crowded when we came. They also have some games like jenga in case you want to just hangout with friends with some bites & sips. They had big fans everywhere which was a huuuuuge plus because it can get super hot with all the bodies and dancing. They had some both inside and outside. They had bathrooms both inside and out but, to my knowledge, they only had one inside and two outside which is a little hard for such a big venue. The drinks were normal Miami price but that was as expected. Parking wasn't too hard for us since we came early enough for Magic 13 and were able to park in the lot next to it. Overall, I loooove this spot and wouldn't mind coming out again for a fun night out. read more

Zey Zey has quickly become one of my absolute favorite venues for live music in Miami. Just outside of Little Haiti, this location is far removed from the usual Miami nightlife and crowds; it truly creates its own magic. I had never heard of Zey Zey until a favorite band of mine (Paco Versailles) was coming to Miami for their first show there. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of my many visits for this venue. Since that first show, I've already been back 3 more times to see LA LOM, Poolside, Satin Jackets, and later this year will be seeing Darius and Caloncho. I am genuinely so happy each time I see a new show announced on their Instagram page; Zey Zey is bringing in such a great variety of artists to Miami's music scene. I haven't ventured into the indoor space, so I've definitely been lucky with the weather for all the shows I've gone to! The outdoor area is very spacious with the stage, a bar, various food vendors that seem to rotate from time to time (I've had delicious stuffed tostones and fries there, and some friends have had fried rice), some VIP/reserved seating areas, plenty of patio seats, and picnic benches. Even at the sold out events, it never feels uncomfortably crowded. I don't know if it's some kind of Zey Zey magic, but the people who come to the venue are pretty damned cool and have pretty good live show etiquette and respect for personal space when standing around the stage. I keep forgetting to snap picture of my drink and food when I'm there, but my favorite drink is the Apple Pie. The bar has a great cocktail menu with some very unique and delicious ingredients (one of my friends ordered a tasty drink that had some kind of palo santo infusion), some pre-mixed slushie cocktails, a few canned wine selections, and non-alcoholic sodas and teas/juices - definitely something for everybody! My only gripe is that they don't give you tap water, you're kind of forced to buy a can of Liquid Death if you want some water. The bartenders have been friendly and very efficient with the lines that tend to grow as the night progresses. Oh! If you get there early enough, there are happy hour specials at the bar. I really love this venue and it's such a great space to experience live music and hang out with friends; it's even received the stamp of approval from some of my friends that absolutely hate the night life kind of environment. There's just something about it that truly feels different. There is a free parking lot across the street from Zey Zey that is shared with Magic 13 Brewing, but there is also (PayByPhone) street parking and parking along the train tracks. There are 2 restrooms outside that are an air-conditioned respite from the Miami humidity and, at least this last time I went, are stocked with enough toilet paper to last the evening. The prices for tickets to the shows I've gone to here has varied from $10-30. Given the intimate nature of the stage and the ample space and drink/food offerings, I feel like the cost has been very reasonable, especially for Miami. If you subscribe to their text/email newsletter, they do occasionally send links for subscriber-discounted tickets, which honestly is an added value that makes me love this venue even more. From what I've seen on social media, Zey Zey also hosts farmer's markets and family-friendly movie nights, in case the whole live music scene isn't your thing. It's a very versatile space and I cannot iterate enough how glad I am that it exists for Miami. read more

A new up and coming venue for music, events and just having a great time if you want to dance! I went on a girls date for a ceramics class and towards the end we started noticing lots of people coming in. Apparently a band was playing on the Friday night called Cortadito. So we decided to stay and join in on the fun. It got packed! They did have two food stands but they were superrr pricey for the amount of food you got. I was hungry so I had to order which I got the ceviche and it was $20. Wish there were more food options. The bar had good drinks. They also have a house in the entrance area that has like funky disco music with a DJ in the middle. There is free parking across the place in a big lot which is adjacent to the Magic 13 brewery.
