Valorie was sweet, helpful, and welcoming. Since she was new, various employees stopped by our table to see if she needed help and give praise. The brunch is ALWAYS a vibe and at night time comes alive. The food is ALWAYS delicious and the drinks are divine. I love their breakfast shot - it's a delicious maple-tasting shot that's perfect for a wild morning. Their lamb and goat cheese burger is out of this world and I cannot get enough of their truffle street corn guac. Seriously, get it! Our company has hosted several Happy Hours here and the staff truly goes above and beyond. The food served buffet style is constantly getting replenished and tastes as fresh and delicious. So when everyone hypes tap 42 it's because it deserves it . The service and ambiance is great and the food is delicious. I ordered a mahi mahi sandwich with Brussels sprouts and it was so good. We've been regular customers at Tap 42 for a long time, so much so that our waitress already knows our usual order. We've always enjoyed coming here, which is why this experience was so disappointing. We came specifically to watch a soccer match because Tap 42 is a sports bar. We asked our waitress if it would be possible to turn on the game audio. She genuinely did everything she could to make it happen, but the request was immediately denied by the closing manager, Jimmy. I then spoke to Jimmy personally. He told me the system didn't allow him to switch the audio and that it was completely out of his control. That turned out to be completely false. About 15 minutes later, after multiple customers continued asking for the game audio, he suddenly managed to turn it on. If you're managing a sports bar, you should understand why people come there in the first place. Watching a big soccer match without the match audio takes away a huge part of the experience. Jimmy showed very little understanding of what customers expect from a sports bar and handled the situation poorly. To be clear, this review is not about our waitress. She was friendly, professional, and genuinely tried her best to help us. Our complaint is solely about the manager's handling of the situation. read more

I've been to this location three times already. I still don't understand the hype. The menu sounds delicious, however the food comes out and it just doesn't hit. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap, and it looked amazing, but taste-wise it was underwhelming. The two things that do hit the spot are the lettuce wraps from the appetizer menu and the sweet potato fries with the sauce. Just walked in to be seated on Sunday for brunch and the music was so loud we couldn't hear the hostess or our selves. My most recent visit to Miami, I wanted some new experiences, some new places to hit up for drinks and food. Since I am a Miami veteran and also considering getting some property out there eventually, I decided to venture Kendall. While in Kendall, I tried out Tap 42. Nice bar and restaurant to have some happy hour drinks. Being that its been 3 months since I had been there, I don't recall EXACTLY what I had but I am sure I had some kind of margarita. Being that I don't remember exactly which one, maybe it was forgetable but I am sure I did like it or else I woulda complained on here or to the bartender lol. Monday could become my favorite of the week. I love a good burger and often cooked them myself so I am usually disappointed when I go to a restaurant to order. The evening was cool and so we decided to eat outside by water and chose Tap 42 somewhat randomly. And boy I glad we did. Let me start with the atmosphere. Sitting outside with plenty of TVs to watch my favorite sports game is probably going to make for a good experience all by itself, but tonight I was really in for a surprise. It was $12 burger night. But these were not just any burgers. Cleverly named Prohibition and The Big Smash, were both great hamburgers. Quite big, in fact so much so it was hard to finish, they were among the tastiest burgers I've ever eaten. The preparation and combination of flavors were phenomenal. Our sides of Caesar salad and brussels sprouts work exceptional. The service was magnificent. But top that off with a night on the patio it was almost unreasonably perfect. There is something about Miami that is so beautiful and comforting. Even the smell in the air is refreshing and cathartic. Sitting on a patio, which was covered and protected from the rain and watching the storm with its beautiful smell along with the lightning and thunder just set a mood that was incredibly perfect for this wonderful meal. I love this place. I may even come back when it's not raining. In fact, having looked at the brunch menu, I don't even think I'll restricted to Mondays. This is another do not miss restaurant in Kendall. And whether I pick Sunday or Monday, I cannot think of a better way to start the week. read more

Wow wow wow, everything at Tap 42 was absolutely amazing. GET THE TRES LECHES. Everything we tried was so good. The spinach artichoke dip was super garlicky, which I loved, and the burgers were perfect. The chicken tenders were great too, though I wish there was a little more for the price, but the sides were huge so it was fine. The Asian coleslaw was really good too. But the best part was the strawberry tres leches cake. I've never had a dessert that tasted better than that. It totally caught me off guard and I just fell in love with it. I had an issue with my food where it was just taking a while, and the manager that i'm assuming must be new since I hadn't seen him before, completely ruined my experience. I met a friend for lunch. We were the first ones at 11:30. I ordered shrimp cocktail and a side Caesar sala. They made mine first in the kitchen and let it sit out and get warm while the made my friends chicken lettuce wrap. When I asked why my food is warm they said that's because the server wanted to bring both dishes out at the same time. Hers was 17.00 my bill was 42.00 plus the medium sized shrimp were over cooked. Shrimp cocktail needs to be served on ice and or ice cold and a salad needs to be cold and crisp! Usually I take food and beverage photos but this is my first bathroom series because it looked like a raccoon lives in there at 4pm and these are not night life photos. The carpet is filthy and needs vacuumed and the bar is so long you have a 30 min wait time at 4pm. The bartender was friendly and so was the runner who I had to ask for water and help because the bar is too long and the bartender had a party and no one had a service bartender for them so the bartender could not manage the load because the bar was not staffed properly for the big party that took up half of the restaurant.
