    Beautiful place!

A True Cuban Gem in Kendall! El Patio de Robertico is, hands down, one of the best spots for Cuban food in town! From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was vibrant and inviting -- a perfect blend of tradition and fun. The cocktails were fabulous, and after 11:00 PM, the place transformed into a full-blown party with live music and incredible artists. The energy is contagious! We ordered the King Salmon, Enchilado de Camarones, Crema de Malanga, and Churrasco -- every dish was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The desserts were the cherry on top: the Crema Catalana and Torrejas de Guayaba were heavenly. And of course, the Cafecito at the end was the perfect Cuban grand finale. Special shout-out to Karla, who took amazing care of us. She was kind, knowledgeable, and gave excellent recommendations. We're already planning our next visit -- ¡nos vemos pronto, Robertico!

Super lively spot with delicious Cuban comfort food. We went for an early dinner but learned that around 11 p.m. is when the place gets poppin'. Robertico is a comedian and performs to the delight of the reservations-only crowd. We loved our main courses but the desserts were just okay. Robertico himself came by our table to say hello and made us laugh. We'll be back!

It's got a stage for comedy nights.

I like that the place has excellent service but the music is too loud. I ordered the arros frito and it was really good.

This was our first time visiting this establishment and I have to say it was a flop. The restaurant it self is huge however the overwhelming smell of fragrance when you walk in is terrible. We were a group of 10 the server seemed to have an attitude, every time we spoke she would over talk us, she didn't advise us of the 18% automatic service fee so when we split the bill amongst three groups everyone added an additional tip not knowing the 18% automatic service charge. The food was decent except for my dish the vaca frita was so dry and fried you couldn't chew it! My old fashioned came in a cracked glass and when I told the server she looked at me like I was crazy. Overall not a great experience and we will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.

Great vibes and live music! Food and the service was great and the atmosphere was very lively. We had a great time.

I've been eyeing this place since I live around the corner. I was skeptical but the food is excellent and service is good. Pricey for Cuban Food and the steak was almost rare. I don't think it's a place to come to eat unless you are actually seeing a show. Again Cuban food is available everywhere here in Miami cheaper and better. The ambience is chill. Live DJ if you like the music. The bar looks nice and probably would be where I would hang out next time.

    Chuletón with mixed vegetables.

Very pleasantly surprised! We came in by chance and very happy we did. The drinks were great and the service was nice. The chef is kicking butt in the kitchen! The amazing explosion of flavors in every bite is more than I expected from a Cuban restaurant. Every dish has a bit of a twist and I appreciate that. We'll be back and bring family and friends!

A shrimp po boy was burnt and bitter like old oil was used to fry the shrimp. At least they got my sons smash burger right. My wife said her wings were ok. So thumbs up on that. The retry of the cheese steak was missing the mushrooms and grilled onions originally ordered and was definitely less meat than the first one they sent out. I figured the shrimp would've been recooked in the same old rancid oil so I ended up getting a smash burger since they seemed to get that right on my sons order. After about 20 minutes after the rest of my table finished eating I was brought a regular burger (not smashed) it was definitely just a regular medium burger. It was actually not bad just not a smash burger at all. They gave us a free dessert to make up for the lack of whatever is happening in the kitchen. Last time we came here we got cold wings and the response was reheated wings with an obscene amount of sauce that we could even finish. Sad since I really loved this place. Guess we will drive a little further to the one on sunset! Wah wah.

Our server, Emily, seemed distracted throughout our visit. I ordered jalapeños to go with the nachos but she brought me a glass of wine instead. Mistakes happen, but it set the tone for the rest of the meal. We also ordered the loaded nachos, and when they arrived, we were not given the small plates needed to share them. We spent time trying to get our server's attention while she appeared to be engaged in conversations with other employees. The biggest issue was with our wings. My husband and I planned to split a 10-piece order, but when they arrived, they were noticeably overcooked and burnt. We sent them back, and when the replacement order arrived, there were only 9 wings instead of the 10 we had paid for. At that point, it felt like one issue after another. We understand that restaurants can have busy days, but the combination of incorrect drinks, inattentive service, missing items, and food quality issues made for a frustrating experience. We have enjoyed Sports Grill in the past, which made this visit especially disappointing. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve both service and quality control. They have many beer selection with many choices on draft and great prices all day without having to be there during happy hour times like many other places. The beers are served cold and in a cold glass. Their food is typical bar food and is ok. They will seat you as soon as you walk in with a choice of a booth or table if available. They do have outdoor seating but you will find people that smoke will sit out there. Service is always quick, friendly and available. Our waiter's name was Kelly and he made our visit great. Parking can be difficult and you may have to park and walk but there is plenty of parking. There is an area up front where you can drop off those that don't walk well. Bathrooms are always clean and the restaurant is an open sports bar with many sports memorabilia and most Duffy's will look the same. They have a large bar area if you prefer to sit at the bar and you also have the choice of high tops around the bar area. The noise level may be loud during a game but when there is no game going on it isn't loud and easy for conversations. Great place to come with friends and family especially during a game.

We've been coming to this Duffy's for about five years, looking for something very specific: a…read morecomfortable neighborhood bar where two longtime Miami locals can enjoy good draft beer and relax for a couple of hours without paying absurd Miami prices. For the most part, Duffy's has filled that role well. The bar stools are comfortable, the atmosphere is generally easygoing, and it isn't too crowded or loud between about 4 and 7 p.m.--although we've learned to avoid major sporting events. We especially appreciate that the bartenders will change a nearby TV to Chive TV for us, since we'd much rather watch funny videos than muted sportscasters. The best part of this location is the bar staff. Thalia, Troy and Elio are genuinely friendly and attentive--the kind of bartenders who remember your order and start pouring when they see you walk in. They are a major reason we have continued returning. Duffy's MVP loyalty program is also unusually worthwhile. Members earn points on all purchases, including alcohol, and 100 points converts to a $10 reward that can also be used toward alcohol. Tuesdays earn double points. Duffy's also runs good gift-card promotions, normally offering a $10 MVP reward for every $50 purchased and occasionally doubling that during flash sales. Just watch the redemption dates because promotional rewards expire. Unfortunately, the draft IPA selection at this location has dwindled considerably over the past year. Lagunitas is now the only reliably appealing option for us. Under the new single-beer pricing, a pint is $5.75 and a 22-ounce mug is $6.75--less than the previous price under the old two-for-one drink program, which has now been discontinued. We have gamely tried the food numerous times, but most of it ranges from mediocre to genuinely awful for the price. The $19.99 fish and chips had a heavy, soggy batter. The $15.99 Tex-Mex eggrolls were amazingly tasteless, even after we asked for hot sauce. A $16.99 smash burger that surprised us by being quite good six months earlier was recently back to being a mediocre mess. The fries are good when hot, but ours arrive lukewarm about half the time. The enormous pretzel is decent with beer, although $12.99 (up from $9.99 a year ago) now feels like an awful lot for salty bread. Our biggest objection to the new menu is the additional 3% "Operation fee" applied to the entire check. It is disclosed, but only in small print at the bottom of one interior menu page, making it very easy to miss. Our servers told us that it does not go toward their tips or compensation. If operating costs have risen, raise the posted prices. Adding a percentage to every bill--especially one that customers may not notice until the check arrives--feels needlessly sneaky and leaves a bad taste. We'll likely continue coming because we enjoy the bar, the MVP program and, above all, the terrific bartenders. But we now think of Duffy's as a pleasant place for a beer--not somewhere we would recommend for the food.

Not that the pizza isn't good; it just isn't great. And it is not because of the ingredients as they all tasted fresh and delicious. It is the preparation. Now let me set some foundation here. I have lived in Rhode Island where pizza is a staple. I have lived in New York and Connecticut, which, despite being neighboring states have entirely different ideas of what the perfect pizza is, and I had the good fortune of the best of both. I have lived in Massachusetts we're outside of the north end of Boston pizza is largely very mediocre and I give all this information just to tell you that I have an established standard for pizza that may differ from other peoples. My favorites come out of coal fired brick ovens. So I was pretty excited about trying Strange Beast. They use a gas fired pizza oven that reaches the same temperatures as the ones to make apizza but they make a Neapolitan pie which traditionally has a soft center whereas Apizza is baked longer to achieve a sturdy, crispy crunch. And this is the part that disappoints me. That soft center does not hold the toppings well and makes the pizza droop when you pick it up. Much like the New York pizza that you have to fold over to keep the toppings from falling off, this pizza just did not have that firmness that I love so much. And on this evening when I ordered the Swamp Thing (Mozzarella, Ricotta, Red Onion, Cherry Tomatoes, Pesto) the center actually seemed raw. Somehow, despite having all my favorite flavors, it looked beautiful on the pan, but flopped over and lost its appeal when it was picked up the flavors all in all were pretty good. The restaurant itself has a pretty cool vibe and the servers were superb. In addition to grieving great service, they were friendly and engaging. This is kind of a highlight of the restaurant. This review is based on a single experience and I will probably try it again. I may ask them to cook the pizza well done to see if it comes closer to what I like. I can't give it my highest recommendation, but I would never give it less than four stars based on even the service alone. So I will be back again an update this sometime soon.
