I had a fantastic time at Pueblito viejo. The atmosphere was so fun they had lots of decor all over the ceiling and walls. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. We wipes our plates clean. The food was delicious and the sauce was incredible for each dish. I truly enjoyed every bite. The place was casual but a very fun spot perfect for a date night. I highly recommend. read more

Great atmosphere, service was awesome, Juan made us feel at home. The food was great too. And for what we got, I don't think it was expensive. We went for lunch so didn't get to experience the show and party that usually happens on Friday and Saturday nights. Will definitely come back for it because it sounds like a great time! We had the baby churrasco, bandeja pueblito, whole fried snapper and the sancocho de costilla de res. Everything was tasty and large portions. Can't wait to go back to experience a Colombian party! read more

*Preface: My review is based on the fact that we went during Mother's Day and it was PACKED. This place is wild in every sense of the word. You walk in and it's just brimming with stuff ALL over the place. It's like a fever dream, but in a good way. Since we walked in it was packed and there was music which definitely set the vibe. Was a little hard to talk, but it made you want to dance the whole away through. The food is priced great and delicious. It took a little while, but completely understandable and the wait time was convenient for how packed the place was. The only reason I'm giving a four instead of a five was the service was a LITTLE slow. I understand again they were doing as good a job as possible for how packed the place was, but I had asked for water when our server took our order and I didn't get water till every single person at our table had to reask for water and I finally got some post meal. Our server was really nice, but again, took a while to get water, but we got another round of sangria and received those before the water. The place was bumping and people were dancing and having a good time. I would MAYBE check this place out again on a slower day. I hear they have mariachi! read more

Authentic Colombian food for two for less than the cost of a flight to Cartagena. This place is super elaborate inside. There are a million details to look out. Cool vibe overall. The food was all great. Started with some empanadas and then had the bandeja carne as the main. This was delicious. The chicharrones were a bit tough though. The Quatro leches is amazingly good. Definitely worth saving room for. I hate to sound old on this one, but the volume was a bit too much. Table talk is tough. The huge birthday productions are a lot as well. Other than that, I loved this place. I'll be back. read more

I went to celebrate my hubby's and bff's birthday. The server, Jorge, was rude as he mentioned that he was not taking orders until the whole party was complete. We convinced him to take our order. He then proceeded to tell us that he was not going to have more than 3 different checks. We proceeded to order an appetizer and our meals. Well we got the message as he brought all the food together. JORGE never checked on us when we received our meals. Didn't offer to see if we needed a refill on our drinks. Totally spoiled the ambiance. We didn't even wait for our friends. We got the check and let the manager know how we were treated. I warned my girlfriend about the experience and had her request another server. Too bad. The food was delicious and filling. read more

I took my mom and family to this establishment for Mother's Day, and we had an absolute blast. We had a large party, and made sure to arrive early on a Sunday because as you can imagine it gets busy. When we parked, I was glad they had valet, which takes the guest work out of arriving and leaving so that was cool. We were at the door and sat promptly, which is also nice, and despite the crowd celebrating moms on their special day, the service did not suffer on the contrary everything from the taking of the order to the delivery to the follow up was on point . The food was amazing per usual for this location and moderately priced, considering the amount of servings and the quality that went into the ingredients . The first thing you noticed, when you walk in the wall decor in the ambience, which gives you so much to enjoy while conversing and eating . There were 'trobadores' which are pretty much entertainers that go to the table singing in a folkloric vallenato style about the folks at the table. They don't roast you, lol don't worry. But it was the highlight of the meal and definitely added to the authenticity and experience at the restaurant. Anyone who has traveled to Colombia knows that these folks live to liven a party. Was a fantastic experience, and I highly encourage anyone to go and try the food whether it's a special occasion or not read more

The service is what dropped the star rating. We had a young lady who had the absolute worst attitude in all languages. She didn't want to be the ere let alone serve our table of 6. Ultimately we were able to get served food drinks and all. Music was nice with the videos playing. About 4 birthdays were celebrated so it's nice but I wouldn't say it was an authentic Colombian experience. I don't think I will be back. read more

Pueblito Viejo, muchas gracias por la experiencia! Even with my limited Spanish, I laughed with the crowd during the performance by the two funny and talented musicians. Everyone looked happy and relaxed. Some customers stood up and danced. What a lively and fun atmosphere! I took so many photos inside and outside the restaurant. However, Yelp only allows 10 to be posted. The moment you arrive, you'll see colors and details that make this place unique. The traditional look and the unique pieces they have on display make this restaurant a standout. I got busy taking in all the details from the ceilings to the leather chairs and all the things that reflect their culture and traditions. Truly remarkable! The service is fantastic. They're very helpful with recommendations and are patient and very friendly. Hats off to these guys! I loved the cocktails which came beautifully made and tasted strong, tasty and refreshing. The fish stew was absolutely delicious and so was the everything in the huge plate of pork, sausage, plantains and potatoes. We couldn't finish the bandeja, it's too big so we had to get it to go. I'm looking forward to visiting Miami again and dining out at Pueblito Viejo again. To anyone looking for a great dining experience while in Miami, check this place out! read more

The place is very nice and unique! There's all type of decorations on the walls and even the ceiling. We went on a Saturday night and the wait outside was about 2 hours before we got seated. But it was worth the wait with how yummy the drinks were and the food! However, our waiter did not make it the best experience. Had an attitude and seemed to be irritated with anything asked or suggested. Her name was Veronica and she was lucky that tip was already included if not we were not going to leave her 18%. We were a big party and I believe that's when the best service should be provided. read more

A terrible experience. I went with a group of people (with a reservation), and the restaurant was rude and unaccommodating. We ended up having to take our group to a nearby bar. One of the rudest experiences we've had in a long time in Miami. read more

Loved the decoration all over the restaurant. The service was up to par...very nice and helpful. They play music all the way time but in the weekend it's better cause they have people dancing and performing. The arepas were yummy, the Gordita with plantain, cheese and chicharron (omg one of my fave). The bandeja de carne was the hit in my table. We had salad as well and kids had nuggets with French fries. I can't wait to go back again read more

Pueblito Viejo is a staple of the Miami Colombian cuisine. We absolutely love this place and every-time we visit it's a whole different amazing experience. For one, the ambience in here is unmatched. The decor and art in here is unique, legendary, epic, just absolutely phenomenal. The service is top notch and they're never missing a beat even with a full house. Everyone that works here is super respectful and very polite. The food is always amazing I never have any complaints. Traditional Colombian plates and bites. Natural juices and a good selection of alcoholic beverages as well. You can't go wrong with el Pueblito viejo. Only way to describe this place is "one of its kind " . I've ate here dozens of times and in our last experience here they had these two gentlemen that go by "The Paisa Boys". What a night. They literally had every table in the restaurant laughing hysterically with their performance. That was top tier entertainment and better than TV. We had a blast and look forward to returning this year! Happy New Year Pueblito viejo y Que viva Colombia ! And anyone reading and wondering about this place..... I promise you will absolutely fall in love with this restaurant. Whether it's a for a special occasion with a large group or simple dinner date for two, they will not disappoint. Everything on the menu is yummy! Thank me later. read more

If you are looking for an authentic Colombian restaurant that aren't penny pinchers, avoid this place! All they care about is taking your money. They had a show two hours after we arrived for dinner, and they forced us pay for valet just to park in front of the door (picture attached) because of a "show" they were having, but we arrived and left before the show started. The meal options are awful, barely anything to choose from. Prices are expensive for no reason, the portion sizes are laughable and you can tell the waiter does not care about you if you aren't spending money for the show read more

A taste of Colombia! I went here during the week and it was pretty packed. We started with some colombian empanadas and margaritas. Food was so, so. Ambiance is a lot of fun, but loud. Service is ok for its very busy.

This place has everything: live music, authentic Colombian food, great vibes all around and best margaritas. The dishes were packed with flavor and truly traditional. Since I walked in the menu said ,wait and dont say nothing if place has alot of ppl inside for the arrival of your meal, also said minimum per person of $45 after 7pm didn't feel rite from the beginning. There empanada are made of flour dude realy spend some money on some corn your robbing ppl nobody want empanada of flour .The place is way over rated the food wasn't very tasteful they have a tip charge of %18 for every table of 2 ppl or more plus wen they bring you the tablet to pay it still has the part to tip extra plus the employee will not tell the client there already bring charged %18 tip your pretty much robbing older folks and ppl who can't read or have no idea there being charged %18 tip ill never go to this place again or recommend any friends or anyone to go to el pueblito if there looking for authentic Colombian food read more

I was disappointed with the food here. It really didn't stand out compared to other Colombian restaurants I have tried. The two bandeja pueblitos came with cold rice and beans. The pargo had good seasoning and the margarita i had was decent too. The ambiance was really cool, they have a dance floor and decorations from roof to floor! Makes for a good happy hour and pics. They played good music as well. The entertainment was great, they hire two improv guys who go around roasting people in their song, honestly best part of the night! read more

Have been wanting to try out this place for years and had always heard great things about it. Craving some Colombian food, we took the leap and tried it. Valet - Yes, it's a $6 charge but we arrived when it opened so the fee was waved since the lot was empty. I can understand the charge. The lot doesn't look very big so the 2 attendants are needed to accommodate everyone. Restaurant - Very folkloric filled with photos of famous & not-so famous people that have dine there. The ceiling is filled with Latin American memorabilia that awe & sparks the delight of the eyes. The place is on the dark side but I'm assuming it's because it turns into a supper club at night. Service - pleasant. The server, Veronica, was attentive; but, once she realized that we were not consuming alcohol and not spending as much as she wanted to merit a sizable tip, the service went south. Didn't check back on our table's needs, asking if we wanted anything else was not existent, etc. but she did draw a big circle around the tip area on our bill. Food - Good but I've had better Colombia food. *Ordered: Empanada de carne - Over fried and meat was almost none. *Arepa con chicharrón - The pork belly rind was nicely fried, flavorful and delicious. The arepas were also fried and paired perfectly with the house chimichurri sauces. * Bandeja Pueblito - the red beans were flavorful but on the watery side, rice wasn't plentiful but it paired well with the 1-egg served. The grilled steak wasn't cooked to my specifications but still moist and flavorful. As usual, the fried pork rinds were delicious. *Tamarindo juice - Ok but not worth ordering it. Was I impressed with this restaurant..? Decor - Yes..! Service - needs improvement. Food - ok/some good but not great..! Overall, not in any hurry to return...Bon Appétit..! read more

Our first time here and we weren't disappointed. The service was great. The decor is very festive and there isn't a spot left on the ceiling for more. There was a live band and they were spectacular! Every song they sang was epic. The food and drinks were on the pricey side and that's the only reason I gave 4 stars. The food was abundant but I feel it should have been a little lower in price as well as the drinks. Expect to get off your chair and dance the night the way and have a great time! We loved our experience at Pueblito Viejo, the vibes are immaculate! The entire room is filled with decor and little tchotchkes from floor to ceiling, the lights are dim and the music is great! There's a dance floor area that adds to the vibe and the music was so good, lots of old school Spanish hits. The food was pretty good but nothing out of this world, and it was pretty expensive for what it was... so you're definitely paying for the vibes. The waiter and staff were nice and friendly. I think this is the "new mangos", a nice place to bring tourists or out of town family but no the place to get a phenomenal meal. Just vibes. read more
