Mi Pueblo is a beautiful Colombian restaurant with decor simulating the greenery of the country. The food, ambiance and service were very good. We ordered Tostones con Hogao (plantains with sauce), Bandja Paisa, Picada. Delicious combinations of meats; arepitas, chicharrones. Drink : Bretaña (sparkling water) with Tamarind pulp for a refreshing drink. Dessert Brevas con Arequipe (figs) . Tinto y Cortado coffees to end the meal. A very hearty family lunch. read more

This restaurant was a great choice for a cold Miami afternoon. We had sancocho de costilla and a bandeja paisa. The empanadas we had for appetizers were good, but I would have preferred them a little warmer. read more

We went here for lunch and it wasn't that busy so we were seated quickly. The menu has extensive options for whatever you might be in the mood for. The food came quickly and was great! The server's attention to our table was okay. Only two negative things were 1) our table was wobbly, which was quite annoying while cutting our food, and 2) they charge a 3% fee for paying with card, so bring cash if you don't want to deal with that. read more

The food is really good. Homemade. We tried the chicharrones, tostones con salsa ahogada, sancochó de costilla and the ajiaco and all was delicious. Highly recommended! read more

If you're craving typical, home-style Colombian food, Mi Pueblo is one of those spots that delivers every single time. Tucked away on W Flagler and 109th Ave, this place feels like a little slice of Medellín in Miami, it's eclectic, charming, and full of flavor. I've worked my way through a good chunk of the menu: the bandeja paisa hits all the right notes (that chicharrón? Next level), the calentado breakfast is a go-to comfort dish, and their empanadas are crispy, golden, and just the right amount of greasy (in the best way). They also make fresh juices that actually taste like the fruit they came from (the maracuyá is my favorite so far). It's not fancy, but that's the whole point. It feels like you're walking into someone's abuelita's house with mismatched décor, friendly service, and food that tastes like it was made with real love. Parking can be a little chaotic depending on the time of day, but it's worth the minor hassle. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for Colombian food that's actually Colombian. read more

Come with me to Mi Pueblo Restaurant a Colombian restaurant located in Sweetwater, FL. To start we ordered some empanadas de carne, which are made in the traditional Colombian style. To drink we ordered some of their jugos naturales, my dad ordered una limonada de coco (coconut lemonade) and I went with un jugo de maraculla (passion fruit juice), both were great and refreshing. For our mains, my dad had the sancocho de gallina and I had the pechuga empanizada. The sancocho is served with rice, una arepa, and salad. The pechuga empanizada comes with two sides, I went with rice and tostones. The main reason we went to Mi Pueblo was because my dad wanted sancocho and he usually loves the one from Mi Pueblo, but this time he said it was not the same. He said it lacked flavor and was not like it used to be before. My food was good. We didn't get to try the empanadas, since the food came out before the drinks and the empanadas. We took the empanadas to go and they were good. We will probably be back to Mi Pueblo, but I am sure my dad will be ordering something else next time. Their service is always kind and attentive. read more

Craving authentic Colombian food and this place hit the mark. Our group had the sancocho (soup in picture) and it was everything I needed that day. The steak was delicious. Service was great, he was on top of it, he forgot our avocado but no biggie, everything else was so good we forgot. The only thing we didn't like was the dessert but that's because it's an acquired taste. Happy I found a spot when I'm craving real food from my country. read more

Ample free parking, cute dining rooms(2) decorated in a Colombian theme, fast friendly service. Another good authentic Colombian restaurant in Miami, you can taste the homemade recipes in the food. They have music playing after 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays , we will try that sometime. The soup was a large portion and reasonably priced. We will be back! read more

It had been a few years since I had been there so we decided to go back today since we really enjoyed it in the past. Very disappointed today. Ordered a bandeja paisa which is a typical colombian dish and it was quite disappointing. The chicharones were soggy and chewy instead of crunchy. The beans were tasteless and once I found the steak under the rice, it was horrible. It was very small and thin, way over cooked, one side very burned and super dry. The rice was OK and the small arepa was also ok. I did not order anything to drink except water..... first glass was plain cool water ( no ice) and the second glass they brought the water jug without any ice. I did not complain but I will never go back. Too bad because the place is very nice but food was horrible. Oh, the coffee was very good, cannot mess up with Colombian coffee. Not going back again. read more

Honestly the food tasted amazing!! Authentic Colombian food at its finest! Plus it truly felt like I was transported to Colombia with everything it had decorated on the walls. Excellent food and atmosphere. It looks very similar to being in Disney: they replicate being in Colombia really well. The tipal homes on the "finca" or ranch house. The attention is also good. At time its is Great when they have a receptionist that keeps waiters attentive. All in all great food that makes up For a waiter that takes for ever.... But usually the music videos on their big screen entertains the sometimes wait for your food. On the bright side, at least you know it's freshly cooked and the wait is worth it! read more

Great place for Colombian food and ambiance! I go there as often as I as I can whenever I'm in the Sweetwater area. The servers and service is great. One of our coworkers wanted Nicaraguan food, but they place we usually go to was closed for Good Friday. The suggested this place and it had a wonderful Colombian menu. I loved the queso empanada and the steak came out fresh and hot. Of course I always love fries. Our group had to go back to work so asked for split checks. That was a 30 minute fiasco because the waitress was confused and didn't remember what anyone had. She had to get help but the checks were still not split correctly. I told the group we should have just split ourselves and tried to figure out paying someone back. We got it done though and they were very nice about it... read more

My friend is a huge fan of this restaurant and told me great things about their bandeja paisa. I decided to come here to satisfy my bandeja paisa craving. We came on a Thursday night and the restaurant was empty. Parking was plenty but I can see it might be hectic to find parking during the day since the plaza is shared with other little shops and restaurants. The inside of the restaurant is nothing like the outside of the restaurant. The interior is decorated so that it takes you back to Colombia. It's spacious inside as well with plenty of seating. My friend and I got there before the rest of the party arrived so we ordered an appetizer to kill some time. I noticed Ceviche de Chicharron and never had that before. Our server told us that is a very good choice and so we went with that. It was delicious! The acidity from the citrus juice complimented well with the fatty savory pork belly. The sauce was so good that my friend saved some so she can eat it with her entree. We also wanted empanadas but they ran out of the meat options and gave us the cheese one without telling us that they sold out the meat one which is what we ordered. Maybe it was a miscommunication because of the language barrier but I told our server to just leave it on our table since I didn't want it to go to waste. It was still good but I wish they had told us it was out before serving us the cheese one. The rest of the party came and a majority of us got the Bandeja Paisa. For the money you pay, you get two meals basically. It is delicious and very filling so get ready to stretch those pants. Avocado costs extra. Overall, I would definitely come back here to satisfy my Colombian food cravings. read more

Food was delicious highly recommended the meat empanadas amazing food came out quick the ambiance and service was 100% great

When I first walked in this establishment I wasn't expecting shockingly good food. But WOW! The flavor here is spot on. It tastes just like my husbands Colombian abuelitas food. I had the chicken a lo Pueblo and it was like a party in my mouth. Colombian food has such an amazing flavor that isn't overly salty nor overly seasoned. The best I can do to describe it is calling it - fresh. I can tell they used fresh tomatoes, onions and cilantro when making this dish. The empanadas were great. Except the chicken.... I wasn't a fan of. I'm used to the empanadas having chicken mixed with potatoes and other garnishes. Instead, this empanada was stuffed with shredded chicken which I've never seen before. The bandeja paisa was absolutely delicious! So so so so SO much flavor. I recommend this place through and through A+ read more

Mi Pubeblo doesn't look like much on the outside until the moment you step inside. In the interior, you're greeted with gorgeous wall colors and wooden interior of the restaurant and can immediately small an aroma of browned Columbian meats. I went in ordering my favorite columbian dish, the Bandeja Paisa. I felt that the overall dish was impressively larger than I was expecting for the small size. For the pros, the brown beans in dish tasted homemade and had a creamy texture, chicharrones were extremely crispy and the steak was well seasoned as well as tender! For my cons, I just felt that I would've liked the avocado that traditionally is served with the dish as it would add more flavor to the overall meal. In summary, the flavors were definitely spot on and the prices weren't even that crazy considering the type of cuisine. If I was back in the area again, I'd definitely be glad to dine in again. Regarding COVID-19, the place had decent seating space and there wasn't even a wait time which is great! Make sure to also look over menu online before coming as the restaurant is not handing menus to protect its customers exposures. read more

Ive been going to Mi Pueblo Restaurant for already like 7 years. Its one of my favorite Colombian spots because their food is so tasty! I absolutely love their tostones con hogao they are always crunchy (just how they are supposed to be). Their jugo the lulo is always on point and their bistec a la criolla is also delicious. The prices are fair but I have realized that the food quality used to be a little better, as I said Ive been coming to the restaurant for years and from some time now I realized the food quality downgraded a little bit. I will still be coming every time im craving some Colombian food and it will still be one of my favorite places. Definitely recommend :) read more

I've been coming to Mi Pueblo for years. It's your typical Colombian restaurant. I think everything in terms of food is pretty delicious here. The buñuelos are my favorite. I usually order the bandeja paisa and it's always delicious and leaves me with leftovers. My boyfriend recently ordered the steak and that also was fantastic. They recently added a tapas menu, I haven't tried it but it looks interesting. Also on weekends they have a crepe station. My niece and nephew loved watching the chef make the crepes. The only cob to this place is that the service is hit or miss. Sometimes is fast and you're in and out in an hour and other times, like most recently, it's slow and at a snails pace. The last time we were there our server seemed distracted. Also we ordered two buñuelos after the fact and they never made it to our table. Overall it's a great place, and it's super fun at night. A good place to spend a Saturday night with the family. read more

great Colombian food! must go! Weekends the place turns to a party with live music. Everyone who works is super friendly

Like everyone else who leaves a review I have to agree that the architecture and the way they decorated is pretty impressive. They have reserved parking but even then it's still a bit tough to find parking. I had chicken and veggies special for $7.50. Not a bad deal and brings a veggie/broccoli cream soup. Also brings rice and salad with a maduro on the side. My co-worker had the bandeja paisa which I have had before and is amazing. I heard at night it changes a lot as they open a different part of the restaurant and make it a cantina. Loved the service and the food. If you are looking for your Colombian food mix make sure to check this place out! TIP: Have the Cafe campesino with panetela! read more
