I had given this place 4 stars because of sandwiches and pancakes. Today after being away a long time we visited and my husband ordered chocolate chip pancakes which he used to order here as well as me with blueberry pancakes. The chocolate chips are placed on top and it is no longer mixed inside batter. the waitress confirmed that has changed. I no longer recommend this place for pancakes. Sandwiches are ok although their fish sandwich is a "white fish", mystery meat. read more

Stopped in on Sunday morning and the inside was filled already so we dined outside which also filled up by 9:30x. Service was friendly and quick. Im so glad I found this newish at least to me dinner spot. Not only was the location great to meet with friends but service was top tier. Its been a while that I feel like I can rave about a restaurant in Miami since the experience prior to has been less than in miami. But from beginning to end what an experience. I used to come here for breakfast but the other day I decided to try their lunch meals. My father had hair in his food. We were given dirty utensils and the chicken and waffles were just OK. The steak burrito was good and so was the chicken pesto sandwich but it didn't sit well. I don't really know if the food was worth the price. You would have to try it for yourself. We went to eat there 2 weeks back to back. The breakfast was good. I had the crepes with banana and strawberry. It was very good. I tried some of the omelette from my son and it was great. We were able to get seated immediately for breakfast. Was our first time here. Had a older couple seated next to us who struck up a convo, it helps we were bithe big WNBA fans lol. Had French toast, egss, bacon, sausage, and pancakes among us. Washed it down with some fresh pressed OJ, wanted some mimosas but they didn't have any prosecco. Overall the food was good and friendly great service. Seems to be a local favorite cause it was busy and after awhile there was a wait. Have a nice covered outside seating area. Doing a new review since I have not been here since 2019. Killian Cafe used to be one of my main to go places for breakfast. I used to absolutely love coming here. Unfortunately, I moved away from the area to NW Ohio years ago for a job opportunity. I was back in Miami on vacation and had to come back. I am glad I did. It was delicious nostalgia. Place is just like I remember it. The place is comfortable and welcoming. The staff is hard working and friendly! The food is delicious! Eating those amazing grits, enjoying the eggs benedict... and god that heavenly Nutella crepe...oh how wonderful it was to experience it again. If I could I would lift this place and take it with me to Ohio. You all who live around here, you guys are lucky! You should come here and enjoy great food and great service! This place was in the plaza across from Tacos and Tattoos. It's a nice little cafe that is only open for breakfast and lunch. It reminded me of a more unique IHOP since you could order breakfast for lunch as well. There were options for hoagies, wraps, salads, omelets, sweet or savory crepes, and more. She ordered the savory crepes with steak, peppers, and onions with a side of salad. It was huge! I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap with fries. Aside from the menu make sure to look for specials on the walls. The space inside is a little small but they also have outdoor seating and plenty of parking in the plaza. Their waffles and pancakes are tastey, they have great texture, and either is just a good choice if you are in the mood for either. I prefer my French toast to be made with thick Texas toast slices, the French toast were great tasting, my only critique is the type of bread they use. Shockingly things went pretty well. Yes, they were busy, but they had enough help that there was no wait, and even though every table was taken, there was no long delay to get service or food. What a concept! Don't be understaffed. Prepare for the busy time of the day. I am not sure if that is even legal in Florida. And so the service was good and so was the food, and everything was done in reasonable time with reasonable prices. My daughter loves their shakes, by the way. I've driven by this spot many times and it's always full. Been wanting to see what the fuss was about but haven't had the chance. My hubby wanted pancakes and found this was the only none Denny's or ihop spot around with pancakes so I finally got the chance to try it. It did not disappoint! We also ordered hot chocolates (for the one day it was cold in Miami). Could have been mixed a little better as most of the chocolate was at the bottom but it was still satisfying. Found this gem while in Miami for a work trip. Service is quick and friendly and the food is excellent. Portions are huge and the bacon had a nice little sweet flavor. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because when I checked over the bill, we were charged for 2 coffees but only had one and there was a $7.99 charge that we didn't know what it was for! We pointed out the coffee mistake and our waitress fixed it right away. We then asked about the $7.99 charge- she apologized but offered no explanation as to what it was!
