I'd heard about Magie for a while from friends in the natural wine scene in Orlando and had to visit while in town. There is convenient (although somewhat limited) parking just to the side of the building, and entering feels like you just entered your cool friend's house. We almost sat inside on a couple of sofas, but opted to brave the humid Miami heat on the back porch/terrace since they were playing the World Cup game on a projection screen. The back is huge and has several sitting areas, including on an elevated porch with fans, as well as couches and bistro tables set up on the pavers down below. There is foliage everywhere and you feel transported (you'd have no clue this business was on a busy road). We got a couple of bottles of wine from their fridges, along with a smattering of shareable dishes from the kitchen (ordered inside). Everything was delightful and we were loving life (again- even in the humid summer heat!). I'd definitely return and enjoy the interior next time. Love a good wine and nosh spot and this is solidly at the top of my list when visiting Miami!

I've been multiple times and it's always such a vibe. The space feels intimate and cozy while still being casual, plus they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is mostly self service. You pick out your wine, pay at the register, and find a seat. They have bottles at different price points, wine by the glass, beer, and seltzers, but no liquor. You can also build your own charcuterie and they have a few hot food options. I tried the croquetas and they were amazing! Service is pretty straightforward since it's self service, and if you order food you pick it up from the window when it's ready. Such a cute, comfortable spot that I'll continue coming back to.

Well this time, my boy and I swung by for HH while in the area and ordered a few of the wines on special and the croquetas. Another couple came over to sit next to us and started bashing the HH wines, and the main waitress behind the bar joined in. Direct quote was "I wouldn't wish the house wine on my worst enemy". It ruined our experience as we were clearly there for HH and had ordered them (it was 4:30pm, come on, no one's at this wine bar for an ultra exclusive wine experience at this hour but ok!!). We got our checks and left, it wasn't worth sticking around for more. (Ps no one cares but the guy proceeded to order mezcal neat and the female ordered a martini- both of whom asked for things to doctor their drinks up bc the ordered were attempts to impress each other.. not bc they had "elevated taste" but ok!!!).

I still haven't tried the steak, but every time I see and smell it cooking, it looks amazing. And you really can't beat the live musical acts they bring in. From the second you pull up the driveway, you are greeted by rolling rows of vines and an atmosphere that instantly makes you drop your shoulders and relax. It completely lives up to its name--the vibe is effortlessly mellow, sophisticated, and incredibly welcoming. Here is why this place has officially become my absolute favorite spot: 1. The Wine & Food Pairings are Masterful The culinary team here clearly works hand-in-hand with the winemakers, because the pairings are flawless. We started with a crisp, beautifully balanced white blend paired with an artisanal charcuterie board featuring locally sourced cheeses and a phenomenal house-made fig jam. For the main course, the slow-braised short rib literally melted off the bone, and when paired with their estate estate Syrah, it was pure magic. Every bite was an absolute home run. 2. Breathtaking Atmosphere & Ambiance The design of the restaurant strikes the perfect balance between rustic vineyard charm and modern elegance. We sat out on the covered patio, which offers sweeping, unobstructed views of the vineyard. As the sun began to set, they lit the fire pits and turned on string lights, creating an incredibly romantic, warm glow across the entire space. It's the kind of environment where you just want to linger for hours over dessert and another bottle. 3. World-Class Hospitality What truly elevates Mellow Grapes is the service. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable without an ounce of pretentiousness. They walked us through the tasting notes of each wine, shared the history of the vineyard, and gave us brilliant recommendations based on our personal palates. The pace of the meal was perfect--we never felt rushed, yet we were perfectly looked after the entire evening. The Verdict Mellow Grapes is an absolute gem. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, planning a perfect date night, or just want to treat yourself to an exquisite meal and fantastic wine, this place delivers on every front. The passion behind the food, the wine, and the hospitality is evident in every single detail. I'm already counting down the days until my next visit. Cheers to the team for creating such a spectacular experience!

Now to the nitty gritty... The flavors were lacking. The Bao bun's filling was dry and lacking seasoning. The dates were ok The gyoza were so small and overcooked so they were hard and dry on the inside. The wagyu tiraditos needed a few slices of bread or crustinis- something to dip in the sauce. This was the only appetizer that had flavor. As for the good service being a tad much, plates were removed before asking and quickly. Almost felt rushed. I realllly wanted to love this place. I saw a table polishing glasses and glasses of wines and then came the surprise - their selections! Their selections were smaller than expected but thoughtfully chosen. We asked Phillip for his recommendations, along the lines of red & bold. He gladly pointed us to a wine that was not on the menu. It seems they offer a menu selection and off-menu/rotating selection from unique wine regions. We had a red blend from China (yes that's correct, it surprised me equally).
