    burnt hamberger and bun. tasteless,
    Laury B.

Food took forever to come out. so i watched to rooster on top of the coffee machine. when food came out my friend had to send her top bun back, just to receive a burnt one in its place. When we spoke to the owner he did not want to hear our complaints. I said we were not asked how our burger was to be cooked he said what do you want me to do come out here and ask how they want it cooked. The chicken for my son was old and refried. Again we wanted to express our concerns but the manager did not want to hear it he just wanted us to leave. when i explained we lived in the area and he should want to hear the complaints he shut us down. I told him he will be out of business treating customers like that. He stated he has been there for2 years so I stated it's Saturday night and you have 3 customers that included me. I have never been so angry leaving a place.

This place is a hidden gem! Discovered it during a holiday party. It was a very relaxing vibe with live music, great service, and food was delicious! The Tuto's tumba burger with guava sauce and the ropa vieja Mac n cheese are highly recommended.

I've been to Uncle Hank's Hideaway before with my partner, with friends, and even students, and while service has been slow in the past, I've never experienced anything like this. Our total bill came out to $49.99. I ordered Hank's burger (medium rare, no cheese) with sweet potato fries, plus nachos with grilled chicken and added guac, and two mimosas. The food took well over an hour to arrive. When it finally did, the issues started immediately. The nachos came out cold, the chicken was cold, and the cheese looked like it had been melted but may have been left somewhere to cool down and harden. The guacamole we requested was entirely missing. At that point, we called the server over, sent the nachos back, and asked to cancel the burger so we could leave and eat elsewhere. The server reassured us not to worry and said the meal would be taken care of. A few staff members also came by to apologize for the wait and said we would have our meal covered. About 10-15 minutes later, the burger finally came out, and it was undercooked (rare instead of medium rare). At that point, I didn't even want to argue since we were told the meal would be comped. After finishing, we couldn't find our server, who had not been back to check on us ever again, so we went to an employee to pay for our drinks. We told him we would like to pay for our drinks, and he said not to worry about it. They even offered us free ice cream, which we politely declined. We thanked them and left. This is where things took a completely unacceptable turn. A few blocks away, the same man who told us not to worry about the drinks sped up to us in his white pickup truck, pulled up, yelled that we hadn't paid, claimed he had our license plate, and threatened to call the police. We tried to speak and explain to the man what had happened, but he called us profanities, liars, and sped off. We immediately called the restaurant, and it appeared to be the same man who answered. Instead of listening, he continued yelling and threatening us, refused to hear our explanation, and hung up. He even texted my phone, continuing the threats and demanding full payment, despite us offering to pay over the phone and explaining everything clearly. We drove back to the restaurant to resolve it in person. The man who confronted us never showed up, even though we specifically asked for him. Our server then told us she had already paid for our meal herself, which only added more confusion. Another staff member stepped in and initially tried to charge us the full bill until we explained everything again. The story then changed, that only the nachos were comped, and there was even an attempt to misrepresent the situation to a manager in Spanish (which both my partner and I understand), contradicting what we were just told. At that point, we paid the bill, had the nachos removed, and left to be done with the situation. What's most upsetting is not just the long wait, the cold food, the missing items, or the incorrect cooking. It's how this was handled. We made multiple attempts to pay, both in person and over the phone. Being chased down the street, yelled at with accusations, and threatened over a situation caused by poor service is completely unacceptable. I've supported this place before, but after this experience, I can't recommend it to anyone. Please be warned, this wasn't just bad service; it was a complete breakdown in professionalism and basic respect for customers.

I'm going to give this restaurant a *slight* benefit of the doubt because besides servicing normal tables, they also had a private event however they should probably reconsider that strategy future-facing. Let's start off with the positive (of which I wish there were more) the location is very convenient and the restaurant has a nice ambience. The weather probably contributed a little to this but it was a nice outdoor setup and the music was great. Unfortunately that's pretty much where the positives end for me. They should brand themselves as a Cuban pizza restaurant, as that is more than 50% of the menu. There are no entrees, there are appetizers, three types of burgers and a menu full of sides. Okay, fine they're not Cheesecake Factory but on a limited menu I'm going to expect everything to be done well. The wings were probably some of the worst I've had in recent memory. There wasn't any discernible flavor besides chicken and oil. No seasoning whatsoever. I will say, my friend had a burger that she said was good. I wouldn't know, I didn't try it but I'll take her word for it. Let's talk service. The food came out. One. Plate. At. A. Time. And it wasn't a short amount of time between them, by the time the last person got their dish, everyone else had finished their meals. We would ask for something simple (the cilantro sauce mentioned in the menu) and were met with blank stares. After asking for our check, our server charged one of us and then inexplicably left to service another table. I understand that this is a newer establishment and this is why I'm giving the benefit of the doubt, but they have a lot of kinks to work out. I wish them well but I have no intention of returning.

My college buddy that lives in Miami Springs chose this location for lunch for us today. This place was originally known as Crackers, then it was known as the Alligator shack. Now it is under new management as Uncle Hank's hideaway. We sat outside in the tiki area in the shade, along with the breeze and the fans it was a pleasant day to enjoy lunch outside. Ampy that waited on us and made recommendations did a great job. What we ordered was delicious, the fried chicken sandwich and we also ordered the fried chicken with avocado. We had a few beers and my buddy from college also ordered the carrot cake, which he said was delicious as he did not share with me. We will be coming back in the near future for lunch here again.

Brisket nachos were on point ! Very well portioned!

I finally got to try it because my cousin ended up taking me to the location in downtown Brickell for an early birthday celebration. Although it was a Sunday, it was still pretty packed both inside and outside (love the seating options). However, as for ourselves, we had reservations and wanted to sit inside (it was a bit humid outside that night). Which BTW was super simple because they utilize the online reservation service, through Open Table, I believe. We were seated pretty quickly and a server was with us in no time. But you could definitely tell it was a team effort, because our server switched a couple of times which was not an issue for us at all in case you wanted to know. They took our drink orders and food orders to which everything came out in a timely manner. not to mention, I feel like everything was priced pretty reasonably, especially for where we were. All of the food was really good, I really liked the bread and the way that they served the warm butter with the little candle in the middle. My standing ovation goes to the carpaccio. As for the drinks, I wanted to finally give the infamous TikTok audio trend drink a shot, and I ordered the Negroni Spagliatto. Let's just say that if you don't like strong drinks, this is not for you. And please understand that I am not a cocktail connoisseur LOL. I'm just someone who likes to enjoy cocktails that taste like juice so let's just say that once I tried that drink, it was a one-and-done for me. However, when I let my server know, he didn't give me a hard time about it which is always appreciated. He asked me what I like, went to the bartender and got me another drink, and then ultimately it was also on the house because it was for my birthday, which was super nice of him. Overall, the staff, the ambience, the food, the ease of parking despite being in a busy part of town was very pleasantly surprising. And I would definitely come back !

What was especially frustrating was the automatic 20% gratuity despite the service not being anything special. On top of that, they refused to split the check, which was pretty ridiculous. There is something sacred about brunch…read more Not rushed breakfast. Not quite lunch. But that magical middle moment where time slows down, glasses clink, and the only real agenda is conversation. Brunch is where stories get longer, laughter gets louder, and the morning gently stretches into afternoon. That spirit was alive and well thanks to the beautiful comfort-food magic coming out of Morgan's Restaurant. Instead of sitting in the dining room, we did something even better -- we brought brunch home. The delivery arrived like a celebration in bags. When everything hit the table the first reaction was simple: good heavens, that's a lot of food. And thank goodness it was. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and friends... those waffles were nothing short of brunch heaven. Light. Airy. Fluffy in that almost cloud-like way that only a truly great waffle can achieve. There was just the faintest whisper of vanilla running through the batter -- subtle, elegant, and absolutely perfect against the savory crisp of the chicken. Each bite had that beautiful balance of sweet, salty, and indulgent comfort. Around the table the feast continued to unfold: * An overstuffed omelette that looked like it had been engineered by someone who believes breakfast should be generous. * Stuffed French toast that bordered on decadent -- golden, rich, and begging to be shared. * Eggs Benedict, silky and satisfying with that classic brunch richness. * And bacon prepared two glorious ways: - one beautifully crispy and savory, - the other brushed with a hint of maple syrup, delivering that irresistible sweet-smoky finish. And then -- because brunch deserves a little sparkle -- we opened our own prosecco. For the next two hours, the table became what brunch tables should always become: a place of stories, laughter, catching up, and the simple joy of being together. Because the truth is this: Time should be savored. And it is best savored with good food, good friends, and a table that invites you to stay a little longer. Morgan's delivered the food in spectacular fashion. We brought the conversation. And somewhere between waffles, prosecco, and a second helping of bacon, the morning turned into one of those perfect brunch memories you wish you could bottle and pour again next Sunday.
