Tried out Threefold Cafe for lunch during Thanksgiving break. We arrived at around 12:30 and were quickly sat at a table for our party of 6. I ordered the planted avocado toast with a poached egg on top. It was delicious and also very filling. My little one enjoyed the strawberries and cream French toast. It was a huge serving and we took the leftovers home! She wasn't a fan of the hot chocolate though. All in all, we had a good experience and will be back soon! read more

I went here at the suggestion of a couple Reddit posts about breakfast joints in Miami area and it did not disappoint! We walked in on a Tuesday morning and it wasn't too busy, got seated right away outside. The servers were extremely nice and talked us through the menu. We got the Egg White Free Bird Omelette and the Emperor Nasi Goreng. The portions were just right, not too big or small. The flavors and umami of the Nasi Goreng were exquisite! We were really surprised when the omelette didn't come with any sides at all, since that's usually standard practice. We both enjoyed our meal, but went to the grocery store and got snacks after. Literally so mad at myself for not trying Threefold Cafe sooner! I recently came here on a weekday morning for a breakfast with a friend and loved it! We came right as they opened and they were so welcoming and ready to go for the day! I ordered a latte and the mushroom omelet - YUM! The umami of the mushroom was just so delicious. I only wish this came with a side salad, like my friend's entree did. Something green and bright would be the perfect add! My friend got the cold brew flight and the eggs benedict, which she enjoyed! It is clear the employees are passionate about their Australian roots and how seriously they take the quality and flavor of their coffee. I didn't plan on visiting Threefold today but I wasn't satisfied with the cortadito I had at Bachour (down the street from this spot), and since I don't live super close to the Gables I decided to pop into this spot and give their coffee a try. Unfortunately, while I loved the decor, the chill vibe, and the sweet staff, the cortado with almond milk was almost undrinkable. I don't know how to describe it but the drink had almost a... sour? taste to it. For a second I was concerned that maybe the almond milk was expired but once I stirred the foam and coffee together a bit it got a tiny bit better. I did not order food but the lady to my right seemed to enjoy her food and the group to my left was complaining about a few items while speaking highly of other items, so it seems to be a mix. My waitress, Courtney was very very very nice and I'm happy to have met her but I really don't see myself ever coming back. read more

We're actually blown away by our breakfast at Threefold Cafe this morning! For starters, the staff and service was incredible. We joked that they must have all taken the Chick-fil-A training or something! Our server Monica was phenomenal and so sweet. Multiple servers came around and checked on us regularly. They all had such a great attitude and willingness to serve with pleasure. So refreshing. The Brekkie Sanga was one of Monica's top recommendations and it was absolutely delicious. So flavorful and fresh. The house made hashbrown on the side was the perfect touch and the server who brought out our food highly recommended we have some tomato jam with it so he kindly brought some out for us(again, going above and beyond). The indoor seating area is so cute but we opted to sit outdoors since the weather was so nice this morning. The pricing was all under $20 with the Brekkie Sanga being $16 and the American Coffee $4 with $1 refills. Fantastic pricing for this area. Overall, fantastic experience. I eat here literally once a week. I order the Moroccan Spice Avocado Smash, it's delicious with garbanzo beans, slices, red pepper, a bit of mint, served of fresh thick cut bread that's been toasted to a mild char. This dish is vegan! You can add poached eggs to any dish. The hash browns are phenomenal. Most of the dishes here contain dairy, the eggs all have dairy mixed in expect for poached, and the owners don't allow the staff to go to far off the menu. They will go their best and always go way above and beyond despite the restrictions they're confined to work within. My other go-to here is a Matcha with Oat Milk. Outdoor dining, amazing service with a smile, great selection of dishes, and signature mimosas / local beer makes this spot a no brainer for breakfast, lunch, and definitely brunch! read more

Was in Coral Gables for the weekend and almost came back twice it was so good. You must eat breakfast or brunch here. Great coffee and good presentation. The avocado toast with the beets was perfect - crunchy bread, naturally sweet (but not too much) from the berries and beets. If I had gotten this alone I might have still been hungry as it's a little small. The French toast was incredible - crunchy and soft, lotssss of berries, a dollop of Nutella, and a really good white creme sauce on the side. Cute tables outside in the middle of the street, wasn't too packed on a Saturday am. My server was VERY good I wish I remembered his name, maybe Chris? Our server Calli was very helpful when I asked about the lemon blueberry cake or chocolate chip banana muffin. Great ambiance at Giralda, with expansive indoor and outdoor spaces and excellent service. This review is being written during the pandemic, so a few words about that: waiters wear masks and a contactless menu is available. Contactless payment, however, is not available. Outdoor tables are somewhat distanced from each other, but you may be closer than 6ft apart from other patrons, depending on the table you pick. I ordered the okonomiyaki. From a flavor standpoint it was okay, it included the okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise topping, and the batter was mixed with the quintessential shredded cabbage. For anyone who's eaten a somewhat authentic okonomiyaki in the past, this version was disappointing. Okonomiyaki should be tall and fluffy, and this version was flat and overly salty. The Pope Benedict was beautiful, but mostly flavorless. Under those perfect runny yolks lied a slab of tasteless ham and a completely salt less hash brown patty. The salad dressing was a bland afterthought. Coffees were okay, and the pastry - a blueberry muffin - was tasty. Overall, great presentation but frustrating flavors. Four stars for its location on a sweet All pedestrian little lane. It's full of lots of restaurants with outdoor tables. The tables did look a little close together but when we were there around 10:30 on a Sunday it was not crowded. The restaurant actually was doing quite a bit of business but the other restaurants around it didn't really open up until lunch Three stars for the food and here is why 1. Avocado toast really could use some olive oil or something on the bread between the avocado and the bread. I tried the Moroccan one which was a bit too spicy. I like spice but it overwhelms the flavor of the avocado. The avocado part of it turned out to be too thin of a spread. I was anticipating more avocado with some of the chickpeas. The balance was not right. They were kind enough to change it out for the regular avocado toast with the mushrooms. The avocado part was much more abundant. However it was just OK. I think I would've liked a side of beans to add more protein to it. I did not see that on the menu. If you don't want the spicy chickpea dish it's hard to get the other avocado toast and figure out how to add in enough protein. If they could solve that problem they would get another star for me for their food The coffee latte was pretty good. More of a Latin coffee latte. Of course I had it with a dairy alternative Milk The staff seem to work well together. It had a nice atmosphere at the outdoor tables with couples and families with babies. read more

I had brunch at Threefold Cafe on Saturday with my husband and daughter. It was busy, but the hostess found us a table outside with plenty of shade and space for our stroller. Our server was really busy, she had just been triple-sat but that didn't affect her service. I wish I could remember her name but she was very welcoming and helpful with her recommendations. We split the Id Rather Be In Europe avo toast to start and honestly I think it was the star of the show. Goat cheese, cherry tomatoes and pesto - it was soo rich and soo delicious! After nearly drooling over the whole menu, my husband got the Chili Eggs and I chose the Brekkie Sanga. My sandwich was good -- nothing to rave about but the hash browns were really good and my husband was happy with his choice. I'm a fan. I was surprised at the quality of both the service and food at this cafe. We went during the weekday on a cold Miami day (very scarce) and decided to seat outdoors. The experience was much better than I anticipated. We ordered: -Not so french (4/5): big serving, nice combination of slightly sweet, salty and crusty (in an enjoyable way). I added maple syrup and for some reason I liked it even better that way. -Cinnamon toast crunch (4/5): tasty, but if you are looking for something more breakfast(ish) and less dessert-like then order this as a side instead. - Flat white (6/5... yes a 6 out of 5): This was the best!!! I should have ordered a couple more of this. Next time I'm in the area I'll go in just to order a flat white and hope the same person prepares it. WOW. I ordered the meat pie, because there really wasn't anything on the menu I liked. I wanted the salmon salad, but it's served with strawberry dressing (which I don't like), and they had no Asian or teriyaki dressing. The meat pie was ok, not super flavorful, and the "side salad" it came with was just a small handful of lettuce. Hubby ordered the Omega Baby (avo toast with smoked salmon) with a poached egg, which was good but not very big. With all the competition on Giralda, I think they need to step it up a bit! read more
