Very slow service - felt like we were an interference to her day. Unpleasant experience.

We came in we sat down and we met our waitress very fast about 10 minutes after that our waitress took our orders it took about 10 more minutes to get our food the food was great the eggs were good, but if you don't like plain eggs put salt on them The bread and pancakes were delicious. The fruit was very sweet. I recommend you come here for a very filling breakfast. also for kids they have a menu to color on and you can draw your own picture. I think this is a great thing to keep your kid distracted, not saying I want food, because they're hungry. read more

Came here excited for their delicious waffles as a return customer- however the first person we encountered to get seated was completely cold, rude mannerisms, no warm greeting or even a smile, seemed extremely bothered that we showed up, Just tossed the menus at the table not even letting us know server would be with us shortly, didn't care to have any hospitality. If you are having a bad day- keep out out the restaurant and be a kind human regardless of race. First watch you just lost customers. read more

Wait time jumped from 15-20 mins to 30 mins once we got there...no biggey Watched 3 tables skip in front of our table of 2...they literally walked off the street. I was sitting next to the host desk, so I overheard the whole conversations. I asked why we weren't getting seated, and others were jumping in front of our spot...I was told they reserved time online (they didn't)....then I reminded them that I had also. Ok, got seated, moving on. The kitchen staff forgot to put Barbacoa in my Barbacoa breakfast bowl. ‍ The waitress fixed that situation, but this was really out of character. I love the food at first watch. The trifecta is the perfect size meal for someone looking for a light breakfast. Service was quite terrible compared to other first watch locations. Our server helped other people who sat after us before they came to our table to help. The server was quite rude and short with us the whole time. This first watch location is nice and open so you did not feel crowded next to others. I will always go back to first watch because I love their food but was disappointed in the service. read more

Second time at a First Watch, first time at this location. Very clean & we were greeted quickly & with a friendly smile. We were greeted quickly by our complacent server. She wasn't unfriendly, but no smile or any real customer service... no offer of specials or opinions of what our meals were to come with. We ordered omelets. Our food came in a timely fashion & looked good, however, neither dish was very flavorful & I felt mine was overcooked - the eggs were quite hard. The dressing on the mixed greens was nice. I ce here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. There was immediate seating. I got a cup of coffee and browsed the menu. It took me some time to decide what to order as this is not a common menu. It is geared to a healthier cuisine so I spent some time reading the details of each menu item. I finally decided on the smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata. This is a classic frittata with Wild Alaska Smoked Sockeye salmon, roasted shallots and tomatoes, parmesan cheese, a chive cream drizzel with herbs. Served with a side of cibatta toast and a salad with a lemon vinegrette. It took longer than I expected for the order to come out. When it arrived it was hot off the griddle. It was about 7 inches in diameter and resembled a pizza. The flavors all worked well together. The cibata toast was hard and over toasted. The salad was something I have never eaten at breakfast. It was a fresh bed of mixed greens and was well dressed with the lemon vinegrette. I'm not a fan of the menu here, but it is evident they care about offering a healthy alternative to the usual breakfast menu. read more

We got there 30 minutes before closing, and didn't realize that, probably would have gone elsewhere if I knew. Food came out cool and skillet was loaded with a crazy amount of onions! I like onions but not this much! Wife's pancake came out cool also, butter would not melt on the pancake or my toast. I have only had omelettes before which were fine, but was disappointed this time. Awww yeah! One of my favorite breakfast joint followed me to Mesa! Lucky me! Great location on the corner of power and mckellips! Good sized restaurant decked out with beautiful modern decor! Their to go service was super easy and convenient. They have each shelf labeled for each specific type of take out style. Online, Uber eats, grub hub...just look for your order corresponding to the appropriate shelf and U're good to go! They were super busy when I arrived, but my order was ready on the dot! Hostess service at this location is not very nice. We visit other First Watch's, the one on Dobson is always exceptional with everything. Two weeks ago on a Friday morning a friend and I came in and we were seated in the middle on their hard wooden chairs. We noticed the next two younger people following us in were taken to a booth. We were not asked or offered if we wanted a booth, we are older like many are in this area, and the cushioned seating would have been sweet. After noticing right away when we sat down that there was another booth that was available, we asked to switch. Thank goodness the waitress was very nice and let us move, we noticed she looked for the hostess and she was no where around, she moved us herself. From there the waitress and food were great. With starting off being treated so badly by a hostess not sure we will be back to this location. Maybe she did not like us because we are older, she sure did not even smile when we came in. Surely did not feel welcome, not sure if to come back to this location, feeling now its worth driving farther to another First Watch to feel good throughout a good meal! read more

This First Watch location is one of the best places that has come to East Mesa in quite a while! Yummy food with a range of healthy options. It is often busy on weekends, so be aware of a possible wait before hand. Staff is very friendly and decor is tasteful. It is in a shopping plaza so the parking options aren't the best, but if you don't mind a little walk, there are options. One of my favorite meals is the corned beef hash. I also really enjoy the avocado toast. I have tried several dishes on their menu and have never been disappointed! Get some good breakfast at First Watch. read more

Andrew was the attentive, efficient, friendly and professional server and ensured that the order was taken promptly with the food arriving shortly thereafter. The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are so large that they could serve 2 and are fluffy, moist and delicious. The Million Dollar Bacon rises to the distinction of its name, was crispy and flavorful. My wife and I went to breakfast Monday morning. I ordered the traditional breakfast with bacon and fruit instead of potatoes. What I got was eggs potatoes and that was it. When I asked for the bacon was they brought me a slice of bacon. I never received the fruit. We have gone many times and have never experienced service or lack of like this time. First time here today! The staff was super friendly. The wait wasn't terrible for Sunday brunch. The only boo boo was my friend had to ask for new silverware twice since hers kept showing up with food caked on it from previous use. Bleh. (Hence 4 stars and not 5.) That aside, everything was tasty and I think the value you get for the food is decent given prices right now. I'll definitely back! Needing to load up on greens, I got the avocado toast with eggs and just added a side of their potatoes and a kale juice tonic. Super filling and delicious. If you get put off by kale like I do, just know the kale tonic's strongest flavor is apple juice, which works really well. One friend got a waffle with butter and compote and an unsweetened iced tea. The other went with a traditional breakfast with eggs "over hard" and potatoes. They both enjoyed their meals as well and we're all ready to come back. I love this location! From the hostess, to the kitchen, they got it going on! Can we talk about the prices? They seem to have before Covid prices and that's a win any day for me. It had been a few years since we have been to a First Watch and some friends said they tried this one and liked it, so four of us went to have breakfast. The place is bright and friendly feeling and we were seated immediately. We had coffee all around and the carafes are not that large, so we needed a refill immediately and it came promptly. I had the Shrimp and Grits and enjoyed it, it had been a few years since I had this dish and it was the first time at breakfast. It worked for breakfast. My wife had a Chili Chorizo omelet and also enjoyed it. One of our friends had some other kind of omelet and the other had the turkey dsausage and gravy. Both of them were happy. I had the frittata Rustica and opted for potatoes which were flavorful and just the right amount of crispness. It also comes with a slice of bread which was delicious. My husband had the French toast which is two thick slices of brioche served with blueberry sauce and warm syrup. We got our own carafes of coffee and water which are greatly appreciated. I also like that they have seasonal menus (although we tried to order the gingerbread donut holes and they were out at 10:00 am on a Thursday.) Our server was friendly and attentive.
