Well, I stopped in on my way back from an appointment. I had been wanting to try this place for some time, so I thought I should give it whirl! The greeter was not that friendly! In fact she never even cracked a smile! Once I was seated my waitress came and took my order. She was nice. Much better than the non-smiling, anti-social greeter! Anyway, I digress! I ordered the classic eggs Benedict and a side of bacon. First of all, why can't people/chefs just leave the Classic Eggs Benedict alone? They always want to do something fancy with it! It should be a poached eggs, Canadian bacon, England muffin with hollandaise sauce. No tomatoes! No brioche bread! No shaved ham! IJS! Back to the food, my eggs were over cooked! The best part of any Eggs Benedict is the runny egg yolk and these poached eggs were more like soft boil eggs! Ugh! Also, my bacon tasted old, like it had been cooked about an hour or so before and left under a hot light. The only part of my meal that was good was the potatoes! They were quite tasty!! The other bright spot was that they took it off my bill! Nice touch, so I will be back...just not for the eggs Benedict! read more

Food is good and always amazing quality, flavor, texture. I love the decor. The staff needs some work and need to be taught the definition of hospitality. Theyre rude! read more

My first time here and they make you feel very special! Like they've known me as a regular. Food was displayed so beautifully and it was really good. I would say it's a welcoming cafe and the place is very clean and rustic looking. Really enjoyed my visit. Highly recommend this place. read more

Stopped in here with a friend for a quick breakfast before getting back on the road again. I ordered the lemon pancakes and he ordered the super food bowl. Both meals were very tasty and just the right size. The lemon ricotta pancakes were just the right portion size. Taste was great - nice and fluffy with both lemon and ricotta flavours coming through. My only complaint was the lemon curd spread on top was very artificial in look and flavour. Otherwise it was a great meal. My friend said his food was great but he's not as into yelping/ reviewing as I am. Our check was 20 and we left feeling satisfied. read more

Food took forever then only came out partially and was cold. Water cups smelled like wet dog.

My boyfriend and I were a little desperate to find a place to eat this morning that didn't have too long of a wait. When we saw that yelp had a waitlist, we decided to come here! The waitlist was definitely helpful in being able to put a name down Without being physically there. We still had some wait time when we arrived, but I was sent a text when the table was ready! We were in a bit of a rush, so had looked at the menu beforehand and knew exactly what we wanted to order, so when we sat down, we immediately put our orders in. The food took about 15 minutes to arrive to the table, so I was impressed!! I ordered the SoCal breakfast burrito (that comes with a little cup of fruit and some salsa verde) and my boyfriend ordered the French toast. My burrito was pretty good. While I shouldn't have expected anything too flavorful since the meat was chicken, I do still wish the burrito had some spices and flavor other than from the cheese and guacamole (which was great). My boyfriend's French toast was a pretty basic French toast which he enjoyed. The food was okay, but nothing special. read more

Came in here and the decorations and set up are nice, I'm in between because I got a side of eggs scrambled and a side of potatoes. The eggs were a little too dry for my liking, I'd that makes sense. To put it plainly, they tasted like a boiled egg at first. The potatoes could have been a little better? They'd are crunchy on the outside but a little hard on the inside. May come back again to try something else. Not sure. read more

TOTALLY DISGUSTED! I went online to schedule an reservation for 12 of the people from our Golf Club. I went online and selected the reservation section on the pull down menu and it said for over 7+ to please call. Well as you can guess after several calls and being on hold for over 15 - 20 minutes each time! When they finally answered some snotty lady (that conveniently didnt mention her name) said "for all resevations you have to do it online" and promptly hung up. First Watch, do you know how long never is? Well that is when I will patronize your establishment. I know for sure the boys in our club (some 40+ members) are going to tell everyone they know not to waste their time with this idle boast and poor excuse for a restaurant. read more

It was about 3-4 months ago when I first went to a first watch for brunch. It was pretty good and freshly made, I figured I would give it a try since there's is a location so close to our house. This weekend I ordered breakfast for my kids and myself to share. We did order to go food, but living about 3 minutes away...I figured it would be perfect and we would be able to get on with your afternoon activities quickly without me needing to mess up the kitchen. WELL I SHOULD HAVE JUST MADE MY OWN FOOD! We placed an online order at about 8:30 - says it will take 25 min... We arrive by 9 and it was "still not ready" the front was crowded and the host was busy. He stated "yeah they are all waiting on to go food too , it's coming" - meanwhile did not even take my name or look into the system to assure my order was even in there. Had he done so I wouldn't have been waiting for an extra 15-20 minutes only to realize that , they allowed Someone else to take my order of the shelf !!! How do you not monitor the to go food? Anyone can just walk in and grab it and go? I get it you're busy, we all are. Hence the reason to place a pick up order. Fast forward another 10 minutes when they realized they gave my food away. The middle aged gentleman at the host stand was not apologetic or concerned, he appear to care at all. They re-placed my order and it was another 10 min of waiting to get the food. By the time we arrive home its 10am!!!! Our event we planned to be at started at 11!! This place is only 3 minutes away and we waiting basically an hour to get to go food we ordered an hour and a half prior. Only to get home and have overly runny eggs and par-cooked bacon when asked for crispy and over medium eggs. Forgot the additional notes we placed with the original order - their outlook was just make the food on the fly and get them out of here. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed with the customer service, the food and their processes to insure customer satisfaction for guests NOT dining in the restaurant. We are still guests too. YES after allll that ; I ended up still paying FULL PRICE for our meal and wasting almost an hour and a half waiting for sub par food. I could have come to Albertsons and made better quality in the time it took me just to wait. Very disappointed and I will not be returning. Especially to this location, the lack of concern or desire to even inquire on my order upon entering should have been red flag enough. I will be sharing my experience with others and hope to see changes to your procedures to provide better service to all guests. read more

Breakfast/Brunch spots are not usually my thing. I sleep late and the thought of paying $4 for a cooked egg gives me physical pain. Buuuttttt....i had a free entree coupon for my bday. And in truth, i have been dyyyying to try the place. So i was practically skipping my way to the restaurant entrance! I decided on the Everthing Salmon Benedict with dressed greens. Sooooo goooodddd!! I mean i left a little overfull, a Benedict baby in the oven, but it was so tasty! Good portion, good flavor. My egg was not poached, it was over cooked with no ooze (that was a bummer) but the hollandaise was not broken and tasted yolky and peppery awesome so that helped a lot. My server? Awesome. Was there when i needed him and left me the hell alone when i wanted it. I hate hovering waiters/waitresses. This guy was so great at being exactly where he needed to be it was golf clap worthy. ***will be back*** read more

First time here and I got to say I it was pretty good. I had an appointment across the street so I wanted to swing in for a quick breakfast. I really this place it's alway standard between locations and that's Important to me. When you locations all over Phoenix, they need to serve consistent food both ingredients and serving sizes. I love the healthy options along with the regular breakfast food we love. read more

This place was outstanding! The host wasn't exactly warm but she was efficient and pleasant enough. Or server on the other hand was amazingly sweet and on top of her job from the get go despite prepping for a table of 15. I think her name was Larissa, I hope to sit at her table again next time I'm there, which will be at least weekly while I'm in the area. The dining area is just one large space, yet with as clever level change on one end the designer really made a large impact with a simple move that gives the place s more intimate and comfortable feel than one would expect in a one room dining area seating probably 90-140. And there are several tables outside as well in the cafe dining area. The food was fantastic. I had the Bacado, an omelet with bacon and avocado with sour cream, incredibly good multigrain toast and fabulous preserves, and a helping of breakfast potatoes. My breakfast friend had the Chickachanga, a breakfast burrito basically, with the potatoes. He also ordered the warm fruit compote which was amazing on the toast, or i'm sure anything you want to put it on! They're only open for breakfast and lunch so plan accordingly and make sure to visit because this is worth it! Parking was tight but worked out. It was busy but we only had to wait maybe 10 minutes for a table. Definitely about to become a repeat offender! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This MOLDY BLUEBERRY was given to my 5 year old. We had already gotten our checks and even tipped the waitress and then we saw this. We had to look through the fruit because my son made a face of disgust. We mentioned it to the waitress twice and never did she communicate that she would come back with another cup or apologize. We shouldn't have to check our food before eating it, we should be able to trust that we won't get served things like this. I left worried for my child's health because he was served this and ate fruit from this cup. I like this place but this was such a crappy experience. read more

The service was ok, but the food wasn't good. Our server seemed friendly, but more belittling than genuine. I went with my family and ordered the brisket hash. Not only did it take forever for the food to come out, and only a couple of items at a time, but the hash was ridiculous. I saw 3 small pieces of brisket in the hash and asked our server about it. She responds with the kitchen pre-weighs it and then mixes it in. I'm sorry, but 3 tiny pieces is ridiculous to be the serving..... especially when I'm paying $15. That's a lot for just potatoes, eggs, tortillas, and 3 tiny things of brisket. I expressed my thoughts to the server and her response was she could place an order for extra. How would it be extra when you barely give any to begin with? I don't want to purchase extra. I want my meal to come with an adequate amount.....not even a lot, just more than 3 pieces. Her response to that was completely changing the subject and asking if anyone else at the table needed anything. That was beyond frustrating. And then the whole table is just about finished and she brings out extra brisket. Really? When we're all done? I've had much better breakfasts.....that were definitely worth the money. Will absolutely not return....and neither will the rest of my family, because they were also not fans of the restaurant. read more

The meal was completely over priced, the food came out tasting terrible. Had to wait forever to get our drinks. Then to add to it my kid left something there. Walked back there not even 5 minutes later and "they threw it away" said it's back in the dumpster. I will never revisit that place again and if you have kids I wouldn't go either. read more

The first time I ever ate at a First Watch was in Cleveland. Generally I try to avoid eating anywhere that reminds me of Cleveland, but a tempting BOGO offer lured me in and this was the last day to redeem the offer! We got here around noon on Sunday and there were no parking spots in the lot whatsoever, even after circling the lot a few times. We had to park on the side street a short distance away. When we got to the restaurant the hostess quoted us at about 35-40 minutes wait. The paging system is by cell phone which is nice and also gives you a link to show where you are on the list compared to other people. It took about 30 minutes for a table to open up. We chose first available seating and we got a nice shady corner spot on the patio. Waiting 30 minutes gives you a lot of time to decide on what you want to order so we placed our meal orders right when the server came by to ask what we'd like to drink. I had the smoked salmon and roasted vegetable frittata. The orders took a bit of time to arrive since it was busy. When they did arrive the plates looked nicely presented. My frittata had well seasoned, fluffy eggs and I enjoyed the tomatoes, chives, and shallots in it. I really disliked the smoked salmon though. I'd say I enjoyed everything about the frittata except for that main protein. It was a large portion which I appreciated, but all I could taste was salt. I couldn't eat all of it. My husband ate the rest of the salty salty salmon and then remarked "I thought salmon was supposed to be healthy for you". His actual meal were the breakfast tacos which looked pretty good. The filling on the tacos was really watery though and it was hard for him to actually pick up the tacos and eat them because all the liquid caused the middle of the tortillas to become really soggy and fall apart. With so many breakfast spots in the East Valley, based on the longer wait time and sodium overload, I'd most likely pass on this spot to go to other places during the weekend. read more

I have had nothing but terrible experiences at this first watch location. Twice I have ordered for pick up from them and twice they have forgot items in my order that I paid for and I had to go back and get it. Now lol please look at this. I come to the First Watch on Dobson every month or so, and I've become a creature of habit when ordering. I love the Ham and Gruyere Cheese Omelet, and the Bacado omelet! The Avocado Toast is filling and tasty. I also enjoy the half sandwich and salad for lunch. I recommend asking for the multigrain bread as a substitute, as it's waaaay better than the regular bread they use. The salmon frittata is disgusting, don't do it. Just trust me on this one. I've just tried the Wake Up Call drink and it is my new favorite! The coffee is fresh and rich. No bitter taste (I drink my coffee black). Service is friendly, but this place is always packed, so be patient if they don't check on you as much as you'd like. Sundays there is always a wait. This place has a great atmosphere for breakfast and lunch, and the decor is modern and rustic at the same time. Overall, First Watch is a safe choice. Try it! read more

Received a $20 gift card from corporate to give this place a second shot. So (sans kids) we decided to make it our breakfast stop today. I ordered The Market skillet, and my husband ordered The Works omelette. My skillet was delicious and worth ordering again. The goat cheese was an absolutely perfect addition to the skillet. The fruit side was good, tho the honeydew melon was not ripe enough, and the whole grain toast and jam was good, but almost too filling, as I couldn't finish my skillet and the bread. My husband liked his omelette well enough for a complimentary meal, and felt similarly about the bread and fruit. We chose not to order coffee because in our opinion it's entirely too expensive for a single cup of average coffee, especially within a stones throw to Starbucks in the same parking lot. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. We left her a good tip for her service. Overall, it feels like an average breakfast place, but not unique enough to go out of your way for. The prices are a bit higher than we'd like to pay for an average breakfast, so it's not likely we'll be frequenting or recommending to others. The bathroom was clean enough, but kinda oddly laid out. It felt like it is a 'reach and fail' toward wanting to be slightly higher class than it is. read more
