Farmhouse Hash
Caleb Y.

My wife and I have not been to this location! It has a beautiful ambiance. But it was pretty loud so it was hard to hear our conversations. We came on a Saturday morning so it was the breakfast rush. My Farmhouse Hash was excellent! And the code is amazing as always. My wife's waffles were great too. One of our friend's egg's Benedict had too much lemon flavor, but that's ok. Our server Kadence was really attentive and she did a great job!

Such a great brunch spot! Food is fresh and service was quickly. We loved the outdoor dining area, and unique juice options. We bring everyone who visits here at least once! Highly recommend!

We are huge fans of First Watch and this visit did not disappoint. They had an elote burrito as a special item and it was a rather large portion and really hit the spot as something a little different for breakfast. The morning meditation juice is the best choice in my opinion and you simply must have the millionaire bacon. The service was attentive, warm and friendly. My mother tipped very generously and the server was very moved. I would definitely return to this location. Wonderful food and service.

Food was alright, nothing special. Seems like a place where you expect consistency but nothing that'll blow your socks off. I have to say the fried potatos did slap though! Wait staff was nice and food came out quickly even when busy!

Over hard eggs mixed into the farmer skillet.

Not a great experience. First not a single friendly face on any of the servers who passed my table. Each one had a look of disgust or annoyance in their expression. I also ordered the Parma skillet with eggs over easy and they came obviously over hard. I was able to get the attention of a different server and asked for over easy eggs which came very quickly. I like a more friendly welcoming atmosphere, not one where it seems like every conversation is the cause of annoyance.

I hadn't to First Watch in months so decided to stop by for brunch Saturday! It did not disappoint!!! Tip: Get on the wait list if you plan to go during a busy time. Our server was perfect so attentive and friendly. One of the many things that I love about First Watch is that coffee is included! Why isn't coffee included at every breakfast/brunch restaurant? #QTNAz I would vote for the owners of First Watch for president for this alone...ok the rant is over. My favorite dish when I'm feeling healthy is the avocado toast!! Idk how they make avocados taste so good but they've mastered it!!! My other go to is the morning mediation juice!! It's refreshing, it's tasty, and healthy!!!! I also love that they have seasonal drinks and food items! I'll be back to try the salted caramel iced coffee for sure!!

This First Watch is in a super busy location in McKinney which I personally love. For anyone who enjoys breakfast/brunch spots First Watch is definitely going to be your cup of tea. If you are in the mood for a traditional breakfast glance at the top right hand corner of the menu in a small box and there are 2 options to select from. But First Watch is fancy and their juices are wonderful so it's a delicious place for breakfast or lunch that goes far beyond basic or standard diner fare. And those options are what the menu concentrates on. Our waitress was unpleasant so hopefully when you dine there you won't get her. She brought a visibly spotty water glass to the table and promptly walked off. And my granddaughter's grilled cheese kids meal was delivered almost 15 minutes before my order finally came to the table. And if you love bacon you will see million dollar bacon listed. Order that and you can thank me later.

Avoid sitting at Ireland Grace's station. We ordered the trifecta, the classic, and the kids bacon and eggs. The drinks came out right, but the food came out wrong. We never got our sausage and the ham never showed up. We asked for it twice. I got toast instead of waffles and then when I asked for waffles. She added an additional charge for waffles, even my order included waffles instead of the potatoes and toast. Not the typical 5 star service today. We were wondering why she didn't write anything down.

Such a great place to grab breakfast! Great addition to McKinney. I love their sunrise granola bowl and love how it comes with one of their freshly baked muffins! I am also a fan of their juices. Great spot to visit with friends and family. Food is always consistent!

I've eaten here several times recently. The food is good. My only dissatisfaction is the coffee is $4 dollars. I just seem a bit excessive to me.

Farmers Skillet and biscuits and gravy

There was a bit of a wait twenty minutes- not bad. The food was excellent: quality ingredients, great flavors, properly cooked, not over seasoned or over salted. Service was good on task, with only one repeated request for ice water. We ordered and received our meals quickly for as busy as it was. The Bloody Mary was sadly lacking. No nuisance of flavor: no seasoning on the rim of the glass, the millionaire's bacon was under cooked, chewy, limp and not worth a second bite. Blood Mary's are at the base tomato juice, this had only one flavor, Tabasco. We gave it two try's and poured the rest of the serving into the glass just in case the tomato had settled. Nope still not good. The presentation was good glass of ice with the drink in a separate bottle- bacon skewer.

The food is consistently good as is the wait staff. My only caveat is that we only go there for breakfast. But, we go there frequently.

I don't need to talk about food, service, or ambiance. There was a ROACH on the floor near our table. Yes, a COCKROACH

You have to seat yourself - there were enough vacant tables to pick from. Within a few minutes, our server was over and helped us narrow down on what we wanted to order. I went for a Crushed Velvet Mule in addition to Cali, Buffalo (both grilled versions) and Burg B Q. We told our server that between me and my wife, we will be sharing the chicken sandwich and hence requested that it be sliced into 2. Not only were the burgers sliced, it was served in separate plates with sides as well - that was a really nice touch. Cali was a bit bland, Buffalo and Burg B Q were both really nice. The drink was nice as well. There was live music but we were seated near a table that was pretty boisterous, could hardly hear anything. The outdoor seating overlooking greenery and events they do at the restaurant make the place quite different - we will definitely be back soon to try other options on the menu.

Warm wood tones, beautiful lighting, and that perfect upscale-yet-cozy feel make the whole place feel special. The location is ideal too -- easy to get to and surrounded by that lively Shops at Legacy energy without any of the chaos. But the food? Next level. The elk tacos were straight-up fantastic -- perfectly seasoned, tender elk, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of heat. I could have eaten a second order without hesitation. Then came the chicken fried steak, and it did not disappoint. Crispy, golden crust, juicy and flavorful meat, and that classic creamy gravy that tastes like it was made with love. Every bite was pure comfort food elevated. Everything about the experience felt thoughtful and elevated, yet still warm and welcoming. If you're in Plano and want a restaurant that nails both the food and the atmosphere, Haywire is it. I'm already planning my next visit. Hands-down 10/10. While waiting for our table we wondered up to the 3rd floor. They had live music. The place was jumping up there. We are going to have to look up who is going to be playing and have another married date night. The only downside to the evening was unfortunately the host at the front door. Once seated we waited nearly an hour for the food, and it arrived with one good plate, and a $55 "Wagyu" which was a small, twisted piece of sinewed, chewy meat with cold, soggy veggies and mash. Sent it back, and my wife was finished by the time the replacement came - which again, was about as 'Wag'yu as a pup's tail. They kindly removed cost of my meal, and we got anniversary desert. My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch slash early dinner and overall the experience just left us asking, do we not get it? The vibe is cool and the space itself is nice. We didn't do the golf bays, but they look like the main draw and I can see how that would be fun with the right group. From an atmosphere standpoint, no real complaints. Food is where things fell apart a bit. We both ordered the Local Burger and it was mid at best. The bun completely fell apart and the fries were soggy, which is always disappointing when you're paying for something that's clearly trying to present itself as elevated bar food. It is weird that the menu is so limited. Usually fine with that cause it makes the food that is there much better, but that didn't happen this time. Service didn't help much either. The servers were all in their early 20s and spent a good amount of time texting and loudly talking at the end of the bar. I honestly don't care about that as long as service is still attentive, but that part was missed. Drinks sat empty longer than they should have and it just felt disengaged. Overall, it feels like a place that's trying to be fancier than it actually is. The food doesn't justify the hype and I'm guessing the golf bays are what really make this place worth it. I might come back if a friend wanted to go, but it wouldn't be my pick.
