Our first time doing in-person dining at First Watch was last weekend. I am still shook over the experience. It was rough for multiple people that day, as we saw terrible service, others making complaints, some walking out. After talking to multiple friends since, this is apparently the reputation of this location. The hostess was efficient and we were sat within minutes. The server took 15 mins to come out and greet us for a drink order, but she was pleasant when we finally saw her. But that service quickly deteriorated. My kids ordered a breakfast plate (egg & bacon) and a French toast off the kids menu. I had the seasonal, harvest hash. My husband had the farmhouse hash. After we got our drinks & finished them (now 30 mins since being seated), we had to flag down a different server to get our actual server, so we could order. The table next to us on the patio, even remarked that she thought we had FINISHED our meal & didn't realize we were waiting to order. After finally ordering, we waited 40 more mins before the food arrived. AND IT WAS COLD. I want to order my hash again at a different location. Probably the Westport one. Anyways, the lady next to us said her food was cold too and she waited forever for salt and pepper, so I offered her our tables shakers. The meal took almost 3 hours for mostly EGGS and the restaurant wasn't even full/busy! I heard a woman who walked out say to their server, "Management and the cooks are doing you a disservice. We will never come back again." Yikes. This was our worst Lee's Summit dining experience in the 4 years we have lived here. Go at your discretion; I hear the experience is hit or miss but known for more misses. I hope additional training or some changes will be made to streamline service and expedite cooking. read more

Just had brunch with my wife at first watch. This was the first time and at First Watch in Lee Summit. The only other time we be at a First Watch was in Tennessee. I have the breakfast tacos which were very filling! I have just a little bit of a kick but definitely number one on my list if we return. Call my wife had a trio of scrambled eggs bacon and a Belgian waffle. All tasty and cooked just right. I would categorize this restaurant as for the upper scale, fresh and almost "hip" With her atmosphere, decor and food presentation. The prices fall into the moderate category but well worth the cost. The only item that is a slight negative for me is pain at the register versus having your server take care of your payment. This seems to contradict with the overall atmosphere and feel of the location. Plus, I always feel like this approach to payment reduces the tips to the servers. Overall great option for breakfast or brunch and would encourage anyone to give them a try. read more

First of all they said our wait would be 30 minutes and it was 50. Once seated we waited another 10 minutes. Normally that might not be a big deal but we had someplace to be. The waitress put our order in right away and food came quick. Good thing food was great! It will be a while before we return and next time we will get on the call ahead list! We ate at FirstWatch yesterday, we had to wait about ten minutes, but the service (hostess and waitress) were good. The food is bland and mostly taste less. The coffee however was the WORST I have ever tasted, I was shocked to find it was $4.00 for one person. I wont be going back. read more

What a fantastic breakfast spot! If the weather is right, there's no better way to start a morning than to sit at their outdoor patio. Every time I've been here, I've left feeling refreshed, full, and nourished- ready to start my day strong. I highly recommend the breakfast superfoods bowl with fresh fruit as well as their iconic "million dollar bacon" side. They also have neat seasonal juice options that never disappoint. To top it all off, I'm always greeted with very nice staff and prompt service. This is all that I could ask for and more from a breakfast place. read more

I ordered online, waited an extra 20 minutes for my food from what the app told me my food would be ready. I wasn't upset, until I got into my car and hoping that at least my food was going to be fresh and hot since I had waited so long. No, my food was cold as if it had been sitting there for a while, they brought me my drinks with no drink carrier, I'm annoyed. And will probably not visit this restaurant again. Went to First Watch for the first time in Lees summit. Our waitress Brittney was above and beyond with her customer service. I didn't know if i wanted the purple haze drink so she brought me some to sample. I will be asking for her everytime my family and I come back to eat. read more

My girl took me here for my birthday yesterday and we loved it! We had to wait a little longer because they were doing extra cleaning because it was socially distance and then once we got inside we had great service from our waitress. Ignore the low reviews... you have to take into account this is a brand new restaurant opening in one of the worst years ever... so in addition to being new they are dealing with COVID wait times and regulations. We regularly go to the Lee's Summit First Watch most Saturdays and enjoy the food and service. As recent transplants from Memphis, it has been great to find a breakfast spot where the staff is friendly and takes the time to converse with you. The food is great and the service has been awesome. All of the servers have been pleasant and friendly and when possible we ask for Brittney or Adrien. While I am sure they treat all of their customers the same, it has been great to get to know each of them and to be frank, they make us feel special. Hats off to First Watch for the service, food and atmosphere. I would strongly recommend them to anyone. read more

My wife and I had breakfast/lunch today at the new First Watch in Lee's Summit. The restaurant itself was really nice: modern, spacious, open and clean. We asked the hostess for a booth rather than a table, and she wasn't very accommodating in spite of 80% of seating being available. That was the only weak link in the visit. Once seated, our server Brittany was fantastic. The order was perfectly prepared and timely. Brittany was very friendly, helpful, responsive, personable and professional. The manager on staff even visited our table. We will definitely go back ... and ask for Brittany! A 5 Star experience - and I'm a tough grader! A+! read more

It's a First Watch, pretty standard food. This location needs to be double the size. There is always a 10-30 minute wait . They're not spreading tables out due to COVID but there is a wait even when there are tables available. Tuesday morning.. wait. Saturday morning... wait. It's good for business but I'll add it to the list of places in Lee's Summit that aren't worth going to. If your going to build a restaurant in this town make it a high capacity building because a lot of people live here. This is not a small town anymore. read more

Went in to pick up my online order. I got a Belgian waffle, scrambled egg whites and turkey sausage links. My waffle had bits of chocolate in it from cross contamination most likely. My egg whites tasted and smelled like fish, so again, probably cross contamination. The sausage was lovely. read more

Food is very good. Service is sometimes a bit slow. There's is a waitress there who has extremely long fingernails which is, well, nasty. They may be attractive to her, but anyone serving food to others should not have long long nails as they harbor bacteria and spread disease. Ewww. read more

I really enjoy the scene and food at First Watch. This First Watch is really not great from a service standpoint. We normally get seated fast but it takes forever to get an order in and get food. It's disappointing because we really love FW in general and I also hate leaving bad reviews. Our server, Adrian, did everything he could to make our experience better once he got to our table and he's an asset to FW. I hope management figures out having enough servers for the business. read more

Came back a third time. The bar is always a good time with laci. Tried the new purple haze it's like a lemonade type drink I would add a vodka if I were you. Got the market fresh hash asked for extra mushrooms and got a little extra for my troubles. First watch is a Primo spot, I would like to see some more exotic mushrooms... possibly morels from lone jack. read more

Worst hosting service EVER!!! - Friday at 11:30am. One woman was running register and seating. 8 people in line to pay. Numerous people in line to be seated. We had called ahead. Waited several minutes and decided to sit at the bar. She came and told us we could not sit at the bar without being seated there. We finally left. I won't be back for some time. They need to get their organization organized! No manager in sight. A manager should have been up front to help seat people. Hard to stay in business if you have lousy service! read more

Just waited 45 minutes for a to go order that was supposed to be ready in 15. I even showed up late because I knew they would be busy. No one seemed to care that I stood there for that long. The best part is when I got home with my food it was barely luke warm. I would not recommend to go food from this location. read more

She made some great recommendations and was patient, kind and made our breakfast even more enjoyable. She was also culturally sensitive and educated and knew that we don't eat pork! I'm a First Watch fan I have gone to other location with great results.. Had gone to this location before and had the lunch menu with no problem food was great.. but this recent visit was highly disappointing. We had a wait which was expected for a Saturday morning I was ready for that...however the food was not what I expected. It was overcooked and dry. Felt as if it had been under the heat lamp too long. May be a while before I go back to this location. read more
