French dip was almost like butter accommodated my request for horseradish sauce in addition to the normal creamy that they give you. Met my uncle and cousin for dinner on Friday night. They showed up early and grabbed a drink at the bar. I stood behind them and we talked for about 25 minutes while we waited for our reservation, which was for 530. The bartenders were very attentive and the drinks were done extremely well. The dinner was a little longer of an experience than we were expecting. We started off with an order of pot roast nachos. Took 25 minutes to get those which seems a little long for that particular dish. Our waiter apologized for the wait. The nachos were not warm, and the chips had gotten soggy which would indicate they had sat for a little bit before they had been delivered. My cousin ordered an old-fashioned, my uncle a glass of Chardonnay and I had a Diet Coke. The old-fashioned as expected was great. We had two orders of fillet and one prime rib. Each of the meat entrées were cooked to order and quite delicious. The mashed potatoes are very creamy and a good choice. The restaurant dining room is really starting to show its age. The carpet needs to be replaced and the booths are beat up pretty hard and could use a fresh coat of stain. It may be time to reinvest a little bit into the dining experience or turn the lights down considerably lower. read more

I've been here twice now and each time it is absolutely great! The staff are very friendly and attentive. We have sat in the lounge area both times which is more my speed. I went for a work Christmas Party 12-05-25. The service was great as we were a big party in a private room which was roomy we had space for everyone plus if you were scooted out a bit more there was plenty of room to walk behind everyone. The Food was amazing portions were huge in my opinion. We had the salad and stew for our appetizers and a coworker that ordered calamari let us try some. The calamari was cooked perfect it melted in your mouth. Our entrées were pot roast and the steak which was amazing as well we had so much food we had leftovers. For desert we had the Louis gooey butter cake, which we took home and warmed up for 15 seconds in the microwave and wow that was divine. Fabulous happy hour. Best calamari and prime rib dip anywhere. My group loves their 'happy hour every day' and loves to sit at one of the stretch high tops and order just about everything on the happy hour menu to pass around. The calamari is made from strips of calamari steak, so beautiful strips of plump and tender meat perfectly fried. Sadly their fried shrimp appetizer isn't on the hh menu, but worth every penny. The prime rib dip is incredible. Huge pile of medium rare prime rib stacked on a hoagie roll with tasty au juice and horseradish cream on the side. French fries are perfection. I had an anaphylactic reaction and had to use an epi pen due to someone having a communication breakdown between the waitress and the kitchen. The fries on the menu were listed as having the option of being truffle fries. I asked if they came with the truffle oil in the already or if it was added in the kitchen. I informed the waitress that I am allergic and can't eat them if it has it in them. The waitress went to ask and came back to say they didn't have the oil on them until the cook adds it so she would tell them to leave it off. After eating only one fry I started feeling funny and stopped eating them, then started having trouble breathing so I went out and used my epi pen. The friend I was with told the manager who apologized and said the kitchen messed up. He paid for our full meal and offered a gift card, but I won't ever go back. read more

My family really enjoys the non stress afternoon of eating out on Thanksgiving. It's gone well for the last 5 years. Summit Grill was able to take our party of 11 at somewhat of a short notice. The waiter was very knowledgable and professional! For that it was a pleasure tipping him an awesome tip. ( He earned it) The cocktail's, appetizers and small menu selection was very nice. This was my first time here and and I really enjoyed my experience. We came here for a family gathering and there was a total of 12 of us and they were able to accommodate our needs. We were seated pretty quickly even though they were super busy, I will say their waiting area is not great for large parties. Once we were seated our waitress came quickly and took our drink and appetizer orders. I had an old fashioned, it was pretty tasty. I had calamari for an appetizer, it was good but not fried as hard as I normally like it. Then my salmon, sautéed mushrooms and crispy brussel sprouts came out. OMG, it was soooo good. Everything was seasoned well and the salmon was perfectly cooked. My husband got the pot roast, veggies, and mac and cheese. He thought the pot roast was tender and the veggies were seasoned well but he LOVED the mac and cheese. He had a little bit the next day and he said it tasted even better! Went there tonight after taking a break for a few months because of how LOUD it is there. We wanted to order an appetizer of the Togarashi shrimp. We were told it's a seasonal item (even tho we've been ordering it for the past 3 yrs), then we mentioned how sad we are that the bbq shrimp n grits aren't offered anymore. Their sister restaurant, Third Street Social has it on their menu but it's not near as good as the bbq shrimp n grits they use to have at Summit Grill. Then I asked if we could have bread with our meal and we were told they no longer offer bread. We paid $178 for 2 salmon w/lemon butter sauce and we had 2 cocktails each. Despite the lack of service from our waitress, the food was DELICIOUS!! Ambiance couldn't have been better, and getting there right when they opened the doors in a Sunday for brunch was delightful. We were immediately seated and provided menus for browsing. After a few minutes, there is still no server introduction which means no water to wet our whistles. As we were sitting there, I noticed that everyone at tables around us were greeted not only by their server but water. So just as I make my way to get up, a server appears no name given and two waters. We'd been waiting long enough that when she appeared, we were ready to get straight to ordering, no need for appetizers at that point. Don't know about you, but those are meant to munch on while deciding on your meal..... My husband decided on the Summit Original Breakfast. He said the bacon was crisp, the potatoes were freshly fried, and lightly seasoned. No complaints, so we were doing well. Oh, and I should mention this was his first time visiting this restaurant, so I was excited that he had a great experience with the food. I, on the other hand, decided on the Chicken Fried Chicken (minus the gravy). I substituted the mashed potatoes for the Mac & Cheese. When the order arrived, as you can see from the pictures, I had gravy all over. I ended up telling the server to leave it as is. And despite her mistake, I ended up loving the gravy. The chicken was freshly fried and had great flavor. The Mac & Cheese was not only creamy but cheesy as well. It was more than filling. I actually had enough leftover for an entire meal for dinner, which was great. Hubby said we will return so that he could try the lunch and/or dinner items. We were a group of 10 with a reservation for a long table out of the way of the main room. When we got there we were seated in the bar at a curved booth with impossible seating for our group and is was so noisy we couldn't hear each other. We were moved to the main dining room which was a little quieter but we still couldn't hear each other. The cold wind blew in the door every time it was opened. Service was slow. So I reviewed the Waldo location for brunch and that one was amazing. Hubs and I came to this location for dinner and expected the same feeling. We got something totally different. The food here was subpar. I mean the subest of the par. I ordered a pasta dish. My pasta was not cooked properly and was very chewy in some spots but crunchy in others. Hubs ordered a side of Smashed potatoes and but the time they came, we were pretty much done with our meals. Hubs also had a pasta dish that lacked flavor. Our waitstaff was fine but they had her all over the place so service was slow. They kept bringing the wrong food to our table. I've never worked in the food industry, but I'm sure there is a way to tell what table ordered what. Maybe we came on an off day but I'll stick with brunch at the Waldo location and pass on dinner at any of the locations. read more

It's topped with a puff pastry, drizzle of honey and crushed pistachios and served with crackers and apple slices. I'll definitely be back just for this! I opted for the chicken club and it was great. The chicken breast was generous and topped with thick slices of bacon and melted cheese. The hubs went with the ribeye and it's nearly large enough for two. And hello fried Brussel sprouts and potatoes! I could have just taken a full plate of spouts! We have been to Summit Grill perhaps 8-10 times in the past couple of years. We would probably go more frequently, but we live in 30+ minutes away. We go because of the ambience, service, and food quality. This visit didn't disappoint. We stayed on the Happy Hour menu this visit as we had a comedy show afterwards to attend. The calamari appetizer are steaks. So delicious. Prefer steaks over rings and tentacles. Though I do think there is a better sauce to pair with then marinara. My wife got the fish tacos. Good quality, needed more of an acid, like some fresh... perhaps a mango or pineapple salsa. I got the sliders and some fries. Sliders are what I expected. It would be nice to have more than one pickle slice per slider. The garlic truffle aioli for the fries was a wonderful condiment for the sliders. For me the aioli is too heavy so I gave up on it before my fries were gone. While we have personal preferences, we like this place and will continue to visit. We always try the food as the chef intended. As we try different menu items, we will be more forward with our preferences. Keep up the great product offering. read more

The food and atmosphere of this place is just simply incredible. From the butter board, to the pot roast and fish and chips, you cannot go wrong here!! The only thing that could be seriously improved would be the service. I felt like for a restaurant this nice, the wait staff should not expect you to take the hot plate from their hands (helping them) to set your plate on the table. I also think that if you ask for something to go, that they should package the items and not just bring you an empty container to put the food in yourself. It's these things that really set a nice restaurant apart from a casual dining. The food and prices reflect one thing, but the service doesn't match up in my opinion. read more
