1/2 Salad & Soup (chicken and wild rice)
Iris F.

My coworkers and I have been working in Greenwood this week and we have been to first watch twice. I love their options the first day I got breakfast. This time I got half soup sandwich. The chicken and wild rice was delicious. I usually like my soup piping hot, so it could have been heated up a little more. But it was good so I didn't make it a big deal. My salad was the Sweet Honey Pecan. (Minus Pork) Mmmhmm. The honey Dijon dressing with the chicken and pecans was genius. They plate was this close to being licked clean. Very satisfying and just the right amount of food for mid day!

Came here for a brunch with a pregnant and gluten sensitive friend, she was able to find things she could eat! I was also able to find a dish I like! We had a great time, the food was delicious and and the drink was refreshing The server was attentive and was very knowledgeable and the place looked clean and cared for

If you are looking for brunch this is the place to be. Everything was delicious. The coffee with rum in it was the real show stopper! My waitress was attentive and very nice. I'll definitely be back.

Service and staff are amazing here! Everything tasted fresh and crisp'! The juice is a tad strong on ginger but evening else adds to it nicely! Restaurant was clean and had a cozy vibe about! We will be back to this location!

We did call ahead in the app since it was a Saturday morning and we had 11 in the family. The parking lot was full I was so surprised when we walked that the place wasn't completely packed. The inside is bigger than you think. Our waitress was fast and friendly. The food was so good and so many things on the menu I want to try. I have to go back

Seasonal Holiday Tacos. I'm not too crazy about pico so it's not on there. Very tasty!!

9am is a quiet time here. Past experiences have been rather busy with lunch crowd, but they still keep food flowing thru. Lemon curd pancakes stuffed with ricotta have been ordered a second time by my wife. I enjoy finishing them off. The seasonal holiday tacos were the suggestion by the server. Everything was very tasty. Cami was a very nice server.

I have been to this restaurant twice. I have loved this restaurant chain for decades. Immediately after opening, the food did not meet my expectations. After 6 months, the taste of the food was much improved. Our waiter was attentive. We received good service & the ambiance was nice.

It was definitely packed on a Sunday around 11. We just checked in online when we were on the way and got seated almost immediately once we checked in. It is super loud in there so it's not great if you want to have a conversation. I had the barbacoa chilaquiles from the seasonal menu. Chilaquiles is my favorite breakfast so I love seeing it on a menu and will always order it. It had a great balance of fresh toppings like pico and avocado to balance out the richness of the barbacoa, black beans, and sauce. My mom had the traditional breakfast. The sausage was her favorite. She also loved that the leave the full carafe of coffee for you instead of just refilling your cup. My brother liked the chickichanga but wasn't a fan of the breakfast potatoes. He also liked the seasonal Honey Crunch iced coffee. We all split the holey donuts with the berry compote. That was probably the best bite of the whole meal. All the staff were moving quickly and friendly but it still took maybe 30 minutes to get our food. Our plates came out at different times which just an accident I think. We'll definitely be back, I think in the Spring/Summer when we can eat on the patio. It looked like they have a very nice patio with fans and heaters.

Biscuts and Turkey Gravy, over easy eggs and potatoes

We needed more brunch spots on the south-side, so happy to see First Watch in Greenwood. Looks like everyone is enjoying First watch, Ha! We waited 40 minutes to be seated on a Saturday morning and then waited 10 minutes for our drinks to come and 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Hoping wait time improves we are giving them the benefit of the doubt because that they are still new. The Biscuits and turkey gravy with eggs and potatoes was delicious. The lemon ricotta pancakes were good but the lemon custard was a lot, I wish they'd put it on the side instead of plopped on the pancake, next time I would ask for it on the side. None the less it was good!! Ambiance is nice, I love the cardinal mural on the wall. There is not enough room for waiting customers and it doesn't help that customers pay up front right by the front door it was very crowded and overwhelming. Overall, I recommend going to brunch at First Watch. Cheers!

Veggie sandwich with fresh greens

My friend has mentioned this restaurant multiple times and I've heard good things (she lives in another town) so when it opened near us I was excited to try it. It is a new spot for the Southside so keep that in mind as many people are eager to try it and waits are a bit longer now. The inside is wooden with great style and very airy, lots of tables and booths as well as some space for eating at the bar. Our party of four got a table after about 35 minutes which wasn't bad given the hour, but so give them grace as they are just working out the kinks! Our waitresses were friendly and quick, so we got served quickly once seated and were able to peruse the menu. All of the options for breakfast and brunch are delicious looking, but I tried lunch with a veggie sandwich and fresh salad. It was very fresh and perfectly 'roasted' with the salad being light and flavorful. I would for sure get it again. The rest of the table inhaled their food and said they would return, especially given the portion sizes were good for the cost. One lady even said there was so much meat on hers it was too big to eat! A good problem to have for sure. I enjoyed it and will return to try something else, as many healthy and yummy looking options. Definitely give it a try if you haven't already!

This wonderful new brunch spot just opened in Greenwood where the former Famous Dave's used to be. When you walk in, the entire place is brightly lit with natural sunlight and it looks clean and inviting. I tried several things - the Purple Haze non-alcoholic drink, cheesy grits, million dollar bacon and the lemon ricotta pancakes. Everything was pretty amazing, with the exception of the grits. The Purple Haze drink is not only beautiful, but tastes light and refreshing- I could definitely sip on those all day. The bacon was perfect- cooked crispy the way I like it and the pancakes were pretty epic! The serving size is huge- I definitely have enough for a third meal. My only dislike was the grits. They weren't bad, but they were a little watery and bland. Will definitely return and bring family in when they're visiting from out of town.

I unfortunately didn't have the best experience here however, the atmosphere was so warm and cozy…read moreand I love the location. I ordered a grilled cheese along with a sugar pie slice and a London fog. They have other baked good options which looked good too. The grilled cheese was very small and I think cheese got into the pan because it was also cooked onto the bottom side of the sandwich. It was a very small grilled cheese. The London fog tasted quite strong and the sugar pie didn't really stand out. There were other items on the menu though that I'd love to try if I ever go back. What I think took this down to 3 stars was the service. When I went to order, I was just stared at and I thought maybe they weren't ready for me yet but they were. There was just no greeting of "Hi, welcome in" or even a "What can I get for you?" It was just a stare and silence. Now the staff were not unkind...they certainly seemed friendly but that lack of greeting didn't feel great. Additionally, they were very quiet or mumbled when calling out orders and so it seemed like many people listening never heard their order including me. I also had to ask again for the pie after having paid. I bought a bandana as well and didn't see the price tag. When I asked how much it was the staff member said it was either 12 or 15 dollars. She rang it up as 15 when later I saw the price tag and it clearly said $12. I showed the staff member and she said it was $15 and it was a handwriting issue for the price tag. I rarely write reviews less than five stars but I do think if there could be a bit more initiative from the staff and orders called out more clearly and louder for drinks so they don't spoil that would really help.

I ordered a butterbeer latte, then noticed some winter menu flavors so I'm definitely going back for those. They serve Calvin Fletcher coffee (a coffee roaster/shop in downtown Indy) and that was nice to see local supporting local! My drink was warm, smooth and perfect for the extremely cold day.
