After an awesome Elite event, I knew I'd be coming back! Early Saturday morning, in a packed house, I waited for a table for about 10 minutes. No biggie here. In fact, I thought I'd be waiting longer. Plus, they have coffee station for those of us eagerly waiting :) I was not a fan of the coffee. To me, it seemed overly earthy and no amount of sugar could dilute that bitter taste. When I seated and my awesome waitress came over, i asked of that was the only option for coffee. Unfortunately, for me, she said "yes", but also recommended the Ice Coffee, which was P-H-E-[N-O-M]-E-N-A-L! The Million Dollar Bacon (cooked light) was soooooo much better. Four slices of signature hardwood smoked bacon with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and a maple syrup drizzle. It's the perfect blend of savory and sweet. My little sister (5 yo.) snatched one off the plate while our waitress was putting it down on the table ha-ha. The Everything Smoked Benedict - two poached cage-free eggs atop toasted ciabatta (better than a bagel) with Wild Alaska Smoked Sockeye Salmon, whipped cream cheese, red onions, hollandaise, and "everything" bagel spice + potatoes. I loved this benedict. Preferably, i'd like the red onions sauteed and extra hollandaise sauce for boot-drinking-out-of :D The Parma Hash - two cage-free eggs any style atop fresh, seasoned potatoes, Italian sausage, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes with melted Parmesan, Mozzarella and fresh herbs. WOW is all I can say! 5 stars is not enough for the generous hospitality we received. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with big smiles from the First Watch staff. It felt so warm and welcoming I just couldn't help but to smile back! Smelled like home from the second I opened the door, a very rich scent of maple syrup made my nose flair up! Immediately to the left was a very tall stack of pancakes displayed surrounded by their perfectly packaged coffee beans! This cool restaurant is completely different from anywhere I have ate in Dallas! Their farm fresh eggs taste so good! And I'm for sure an egg eater!!! Do you love avocado? If so, the avocado is seasoned perfectly and spread onto thick toast... paired with 2 eggs! Its so good you may just want another order of the avocado toast! And who doesn't like bacon? The million dollar bacon is so tasty! Plated with 4 strips per plate with their signature syrup drizzled on top! Good enough to share, but it's bacon, who wants to share a side of bacon? (lol) My favorite dish here is the hash! It comes out with a side of tortilla shells and a hearty portion of eggs, avocado, potatoes, bacon, corn and more to just make your mouth explode of all the different flavors seasoned in this dish! And if you are in the mood for pancakes, they have a very unique double stack that is topped with lemon and strawberries! Lots of sweets and light sours for this pancake stack! And if you love sandwich melts, which I absolutely do, you must get their ham & tomato melt! Oh this is to good to be true, the first bite all the cheese just melts in your mouth and the fresh tomato is so warm and juicy! This is a huge sandwich and my second favorite thing on the menu! Now all this eating will make you thirsty. To wash everything down, you must try the refreshing Hibiscus Limeade!! Looking around as you wait for your food, the staff is extremely attentive. The table stays clean as they pick up dishes right after you finish. In addition needing extra water and coffee, your cup never stays half full, there is always someone coming around with a smile keeping you hydrated! Time to eat, grab your silverware and don't forget to put your napkin in your lap, before you do, look at the cool message wrapped around your silverware set! Should help bring some laughs and great conversation to the table. Each napkin has a cool quote! The decor of First Watch is pretty cool too! A chalk board with all kinds of cool messages like "What's the Buzz" & "Smell What the Rock is Cooking" makes for a giggle or two! Great place for brunch. I usually order the "Trifecta", a Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, and breakfast style potatoes. They offer non gmo all organic food with daily specials and a great selection of juices. The Belgian waffle looks thick but is very light and can be topped with your choice fruit. How can a restaurant not answer phone calls??? I placed a to go order here, in person, and waited about 15 min. When I got my order I was told they they checked everything and packed extra condiments, and I thought the experience was good, so I left a tip. Got home and found out they were missing one of the sandwiches I ordered and had the wrong side for another. I called back for almost two hours and no one answered (this is before their 2:30pm closing time). The phone number listed is the same as on the first watch web site. Turned this into bad first experience for the restaurant ... now I regret leaving the tip. read more

Even though the waitress was very busy with other tables the overall experience was great! The coffee was hot and the pot was brought to our table (a plus). The First Watch crew were so hospitable and really made us feel welcomed. You can tell they were 100% behind their mission statement of "You First." The food was absolutely delicious and the best part is that you don't feel any guilt about it because the ingredients are top-notch and fresh. The avocado toast with the sunny side eggs was just phenomenal. It's simple but something I would get again and again. The avocados were creamy and chunky on top of the crunchy multigrain toast, which soaks up the yummy goodness of the egg yolk. The elote Mexican corn hash was good but I wish there was more corn. It seemed to be taken over by potatoes. Would I get this dish again? Absolutely! Just more corn, please. The pancakes were light and fluffy. I would have never imagined it was a multigrain ricotta pancake. I'm not a huge fan of sweet breakfast, but this wasn't overly sweet. It had the right amount of tang from the lemon curd and I liked the taste of the fresh strawberries on top. I love that this place is nearby to work and I will definitely bring coworkers here. read more

I gave it three stars because the staff and service are excellent and the environment is very nice, but the Eggs Benedict I had was just not very good. Generous with the ham but hollandaise way too lemony and ciabatta was soggy. I also tried my companion's French toast but it was dry and not very flavorful. Loved my lunch experience at First Watch last week. Great variety in food options btw breakfast and lunch. I got seated right away and my server provided excellent service. Attentive without being annoying. Their 7.99 lunch special is tremendous value. I loved my fresh ciabatta roast beef sandwich half and generous Cobb salad. I left full and quite pleased. So this was my first time coming to this place.I came here for a Yelp event and I love the concept! Everything is extremely fresh and a lot of great options to choose from. The wait staff did a great job and they made sure everyone was taken care of. They served us a 4 course meal consisting of :Million dollar bacon, avocado toast, Hibiscus limeade, elote Mexican hash (my favorite), ham and gruyere melt, and Lemon ricotta pancakes! I didn't like my experience after having frequented this restaurant since I moved to Dallas in 2017. My waitress was incompetent and the food I was served was sub par if o were served at all. I left the restaurant in tears and fled to the car because the waitress just refused to serve me what I ordered. In fact she didn't even put in the correct order to begin with and I had to beg for the potatoes that I ordered after asking for them three times. First time i cane here was for a yelp elite event and it was an amazing experience! I decided to come back and use the 20 dollar gift card that first watch gave very generously gave us! :) I was here on a saturday around 11 and there was quite a bit if wait; make sure you join the waitlist through yelp before you get there! A nice touch is that they have coffee and cucumber infused water in the waiting area so it makes the waiting a little more tolerable. This time around i was looking for options that were Keto friendly so i decided to try the Bacado omelette with a side salad and the kale tonic juice. I highly recommend the kale tonic juice its very good and it has no added sugar. The Bacado is freaking delicious too, just perfect for Keto, even though i didnt eat the bread it smelled freaking delicious. This place always offers amazing service, no surprise there! read more

This is probably my favorite brunch spot. Although packed on Sundays it was worth the 30 min wait. I got eggs, bacon and pancakes. The eggs were great.. not runny but not dry, the bacon to me was over cooked... it's hard and dark. Kinda wished I'd tried the chicken sausage patty instead, but I'll be back. The pancakes were amazing! You get a ginormous pancake and the edges are crisped to perfection with butter on top. The syrup is light and the pancake is cakey enough to soak up the three times I poured syrup over the pancake. They also have juices. Some have kale, basil, beets, turmeric, pear, etc. Its seasonal so either their app or online website would be able to tell you what they have now. All in all if you like having healthy choices or home cooked southern breakfast this is definitely the spot to go! read more

He then took a very aggressive tone when responding to my questions. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, JUST HORRIBLE. This piss poor attitude almost made me leave, but I decided to stay for the food. Not going to lie, the name First Watch reminds me of Game of Thrones. I'm thinking about the Night's Watch when I hear the name, but for all intents and purposes, seeing the name "First Watch" makes me thinking of Jon Snow and his adventures beyond The Wall. My brother took me here for breakfast before I left Dallas, opting to take me to all his breakfast spots since he knows I love trying out restaurants I'd never been to before. Not being local, I can't really speak for the location or if it's any good, but I can contribute that it's in a nice shopping plaza with lots of parking, and we arrived at a window of time (9am~ish) on a Sunday morning right before it really started to get slammed, and it was on Father's Day no less. First Watch is a really kind of yuppie-classification of restaurant, not stating it as a pejorative, but I think lots of people can get an instant picture in their mind upon hearing such. But decor that looks like it was made from HGTV repurposed farm wood, artificial plumbing-looking fixtures, and a level of taste and ambience that was sought after, and not accepted upon opening the doors to the public. If there's any indication to how busy this place could get, it's the fact that there are signs plugging an app to get to monitor status, and the fact that the waiting area has its own coffee/water dispensary for those wanting to wait. Thankfully for my brother and I, the wait was less than a styrofoam church cup of coffee, and we were seated in a comfortable booth and provided bottles of water that looked like oversized Orangina bottles, with specifically designated water glasses. Service on a bustling Father's Day was a little inconsistent. The server was friendly and polite, but clearly got overwhelmed or was forgetful with our table, as my order came out incorrect, and my brother's iced tea went empty a little too long for comfort. I ordered two pancakes with banana and granola infused in them, because I had no idea how big they'd be, and I was pretty starving. I also ordered what they claimed to be million dollar bacon, which is four thick strips of bacon with a myriad of spices and a sweet sauce over it. Only one pancake came out, and I really should've kept my mouth shut and not insisted on getting the second one, because one was more than enough for me, but alas. The pancakes were definitely excellent, and did not skimp on the banana or the granola infused in them. However, the bacon fails to deliver the idea that they're worth a million bucks, and for $5 for four strips, I have visions of getting a cheap pound of bacon at the grocery store, and having a pound of bacon for $5 instead of four strips of chewy bacon glued to a plate. Overall, if I didn't get the bacon, I probably would've given this place a 4-star rating. The pancakes were superb, and the ambiance and coffee are good. The service was friendly, but a little absent and forgetful with my orders, and the bacon failed to deliver on its namesake. It's a solid restaurant, and I can see why it's as busy as it was when we left. But ultimately, my two pancakes and plate of overrated bacon ran me $20 with tip, and upon looking back at it, I wonder if it was all worth that much. read more

We've had good experiences at the Fort Worth location, so we decided to come to the Preston location for Father's Day. We ordered all our food at once, but the food for our kids (2 and 4) came first. No biggie, although their food wasn't great. Bacon had obviously been precooked and reheated, which would have been ok if it weren't burnt and dried out. Toast seemed old and stale. Potatoes were a bit burnt. 20 mins later, our kids are done and our food hadn't come. Our waiter informed us he put their order in first, hence the delay. Strange, given we gave our entire order at once. Even if he put a rush on their dishes, 20+ mins is ridiculous, especially when you have small children. Overall, very disappointing for a Father's Day breakfast. I would not recommend this location. read more
