Came here for sunday brunch with two of my friends and had a great time! Good food, good service, and loved how cozy this place felt. I haven't been in the cypress area in a long time and I am glad to see that this place is still going strong since I left! We all ordered orange mimosas as well as hot coffee to go with our meals. I got the Parma Skillet Hash, one friend got the Chimichanga, and my other friend got the Biscuits and Gravy, and we all shared the French Toast. All of our meals were very good! We all kind of shared each of our meals with each other and I think my favorite was the skillet hash and the biscuits and gravy. Next time, I would definitely ask for the potatoes to be crispier. Everything besides the potatoes needing to be crispier, was well seasoned, and well portioned. We all finished everything along with our coffee and mimosas. Overall, I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area again and needing my brunch fix. If you are going on a sunday, I highly recommend coming early or setting a reservation! I think we had to wait 45 minutes for a table but that wasn't a problem as we just walked around the boardwalk and talked while we waited.

As this was my first time here, I was a little bit disappointed. Upon arrival, we were told it would be a 10 minute wait to get a table. However, having worked industry before I noticed six tables were immediately open yet. We still had to wait 10 minutes to get a table. I attribute this to the younger staff who may be a little bit inexperienced. The food was nothing to write home about. As you can see from my photo, I had ordered my sandwich with no lettuce and no tomato and I basically got a lettuce and tomato sandwich with a little bit of turkey on it. Not the best. The soup, however, was amazing. The soup of the day was vegetable. My girlfriends food was also lackluster. She ordered the Gruyere and ham omelette, which was burned to a crisp on the outside rims, stacked high in the middle with the ham, and had a slice of cheese literally thrown on top of it. That wasn't fully melted. The eggs were completely overcooked and borderline inedible . The accompanying potatoes were actually very well prepared. Mimosas came with a very cheap champagne that you had to pour and mix yourself. This was OK because I like a lot more champagne than orange juice, but it seemed kind of cheap and a cop out. I'm not sure if they were just having an off day, but our waitress herself was very lovely and nice and accommodating. The staff were friendly, they just seem confused. I would give this a solid two stars for the first time out despite my 4 star upon check-in.

Good food, good vibe. Slow service. We got the Veggie burger which doesn't come with any fries, that was surprising to us. They don't serve any fries. So we got it with a bowl of tomato soup that was very yummy. Also got a plate of the Veggie omelette. Ordered the Morning Meditation juice without the ice so it came in a small 12-16oz? glass, lol. Juice is refrigerated, not sure if they make it in house?

If I can give zero stars, I would. We came here last week with a big party. Everything was ok until it wasn't. I placed a to go order for family at home. They requested no bacon in the meal. Of course when I got home there was bacon in it. Called First Watch to tell them the order was wrong and they told me to come back in for them to remake it. so I drove back up there, they remake it, I get back home and now in the first bite is hair. Drove back up there, The manager tried to tell me it was from a cooking brush they use to clean the pans with. (Either way it's not edible). They gave me a $20 gift card, and no refund was issued or any sort of empathy for making us drive back and forth 3 times. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and stopped by a week later, ordered the same thing to-go and get home to find bacon in the meal again. I drove back to First Watch and asked for a refund. I didn't even want them to remake it anymore. All the manager said was "I do apologize, I'll have your refund done by the end of the day". If I can give zero stars I would.

This is not how this drink usually looks. Politely asked if she could remake. Whe she brought it back it was COMPLETELY RED.

As a waitress your attitude and friendliness determines your tip. I'm a very cheerful giver. But when I asked for more red ,you argue with my SNL and tell her to stir it up. That we know,but looking at other customers beverages like the one we ordered. You were rude,impatient,inconsiderate,inhospitable and no sense of care for us 2 African American very successful ladies. The young man at the front(host) AMAZING,thank you. All I adored was may I get more red juice at the top,you seemed so frustrated as if we were bothering you. My profession was the food industry (GM) for 26 years. YOU DO NOT GO BACK AND FORTH WITH A CLIENT/CUSTOMER,EVER! I needed that drink,I wanted that drink. But I sent it back because you were being an a-hole when you brought it back with the glass being 85% red and the rest was orange. Why treat us this way. We were very professional,never rude to you. But one thing we must understand as food servers. "Every time that door opens,and you seat a guest,that is your check" No guest,no hours. I've only ordered breakfast here until today. I had a Turkey burger and asked for wheat bread. I didn't ask them too, but they grilled the bread and it was delicious! Also, their tomato basil soup is very good! I think their breakfast is good but their lunch items might be better. My husband ordered the breakfast taco and it was really good. Even the side of beans were good. The service was really efficient and my waitress was spot on. She was pleasant and everything came out hot and just right. We didn't wait that long for a Saturday to get our food, which I appreciated.

With plant-based diets being so popular, you would think First Watch would offer more vegan entrees and sides (or items that can be customized to be vegan) since even customers who eat meat want variety. Given there's a lot of egg-based dishes on the menu, they could offer tofu egg, just egg, vegan sausage, tempeh bacon, or other non-meat/ovo breakfast proteins. I ordered the A.M. Superfoods Bowl and was impressed with the chia seed pudding. I've had chia seed pudding before but never with coconut milk. It had an even amount of sweetness and the fruits and granola was a simple but immense game changer. The toast with peanut butter was simple and usual. Such amazing staff! I came here on my lunch break after being stuck at work for 2 hours with hiccups. Funny way to start a review I know--but it matters. I came here for food, hoping it would help because I had a killer migraine from the hiccups. Steve helped me by taking my to go order, and through the struggle of ordering through hiccups, he told me that his dad taught him to drink water through a napkin to heal hiccups. While I waited he brought me my drink as well as a water and napkin to test out the trick and it worked!! He was so kind, and truly went above and beyond. My morning that started horridly truly turned around. Such great customer service and always great chicken salad and tomato basil soup. 10/10 recommend. read more

First Watch was a happy addition to the Towne Lake boardwalk in Cypress. We needed a good and reliable breakfast place. Others have tried, but they couldn't quite solve for the service issues that have plagued so many of the Towne Lake restaurants. I might attribute it to First Watch being a chain, but the training seems to have really worked. The food is high-quality, and the place is always busy. I've had early morning business meetings there, and the service is equally as good very early in the morning. read more

The quintessential brunch spot these days, we were excited to try First Watch for the first time with our 1 year old son. We started off being waited on by Steve, who seemed overburdened by the short staffing situation but was incredibly personable and kind regardless. His humor and reassurances on the status of the food made the considerable wait bearable, and then the food arrived and we really had reason to celebrate. We had the million dollar breakfast sandwich, cinnamon chip pancake breakfast, and the farmhouse hash bowl. All were delicious and cooked perfectly, which was a relief given the amount of time it took to come out. We would love to come back when there are more workers available to handle one of the busiest times of the week, but overall were very happy with the food and service provided. read more

I don't mind paying for food, but when your food comes out cold and looks like it was setting in the kitchen for a while, I feel sorry that I had to wait in line just to get sited only to regranted paying an outrageous price for a a meal that was halfway left behind. It sucks because this is a new location, and I don't think that I will be returning for breakfast. Maybe I will give them another try for lunch since they are new in my neighborhood. read more

This was my second time at this new location in the Towne Lake Shopping Center. The first time I thought the food was okay but nothing to write home about. I blamed myself for ordering something out of my comfort zone, the Carnitas Breakfast Burrito ($11.98) and left it at that. My sister thought her Parmesan Skillet Hash ($11.99) with a side of bacon ($4.99) was good. We shared a single Lemon Ricotta Pancake ($8.49), which was the best pancake I have EVER had. Add 2 coffees and our bill was $48.00 before tip. That is a little steep for breakfast but I knew the prices, so that is on me. My second visit was this past weekend. They sent me a "Buy 1 Entrée, Get 1 Entrée" for my birthday. So back we go and they have a new menu this time. At the waiter's almost aggressive suggestion and a promise to not charge us if we didn't like it, we both ordered the new nonalcoholic "Purple Haze" drinks. I am not sure why this drink is $4.49 a glass! My sister took 2 sips of hers and decided she did not like. I finished mine but have had better Kool Aid. I ordered the Crab and Avocado Toast ($13.99) and my sister ordered the Huevos Rancheros Tostadas ($10.99). We again shared a single Lemon Ricotta Pancake ($8.49). The original bill came to $45.95 before tip and before discounting the coupon. They had a heck of a time taking off the "Free Entrée". In fact, we waited about 10 minutes for them to get a supervisor and he also struggled. Once I got the final ticket, I did not take the time to review it for accuracy because I felt guilty holding the line up. At this restaurant, you take your receipt with you, stand in line and pay on your way out. #1. They did not take off one of the "Purple Haze" drinks like we asked and #2. Instead of deducting one of the "Entrée's" they deducted the pancake!! Except for the fantastically, wonderful Lemon Ricotta Pancake (and it is really delicious), our food was cold, bland and overpriced, even with the "FREE ENTREE!!". I am done. I don't mind spending good money for good food but the Money to Food equation has to work on both ends. read more

ONLINE ORDERS BEWARE.... I had a horrible experience trying to pickup my food. I waited inside at the pickup area for over 45min after announcing that I was there to pickup my food. I ordered at 10am I arrived at 10:30 and watched as many people picked up their orders. I was there way past 11am just waiting....It turns out someone in the kitchen decided not tcook my order just because. They also tried to charge me more money for adding Million dollar bacon to my order as a substitute for regular bacon, they offered no up charge option online for this. If they did I would have gladly paid. They offered no bill compensation at all. No manager EVER came to apologize to me at all, very unprofessional!! I finally received my order at 11:26am with no apology just a "here ya go sir" I am shocked because my family and I dine here all the time. The food was completely cold, I got Million Dollar bacon with my order, I received no syrup with my order. I was on hold for over 20min requesting to speak with the manager it took Stephanie over 20 min to come to the phone. I will be speaking with the GM Adrianna and their Corporate Headquarters. I swung by First Watch for a quick brunch before a business meeting that I had to attend in the area. I asked my server, Robert, for his recommendation on what to eat, and he kindly suggested the "Barbacoa Quesadilla Benedict." His recommendation did not disappoint as the meal was very delicious! As a first-timer at First Watch, I was definitely left with a good first impression. I will absolutely be visiting again! So glad to have First Watch nearby! I visited on opening day and it was the same great experience as always. Fresh coffee, fresh juices (loved the New Red Medicine) and great service (Mike was my server). It wasn't busy when I visited but I was thrilled to see their efforts at social distancing. I ventured away from usual and ordered smoke salmon eggs Benedict. It was delicious! I really like that it's served on Ciabatta bread. My husband ordered The Works omelet and practically licked the plate clean. I noticed the outdoor seating area on my way out and can't wait to visit again. Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

I loved my BLTE sandwich, which was basically a BLT with an egg. I say basically but the taste and flavor was so much more, I even finished the salad and greens are not my thing. This is located at the boardwalk so parking can be difficult but I highly recommend this spot. We'll be going back! read more

Apparently they rolled a new menu out that morning so that may have contributed to the long wait however food was just ok, nothing phenomenal or worth wait or price. read more

Food was delicious but the wait to sit down was ridiculous. Got there at 12:20 pm during lunch time. Told a one hour wait... then 30-45 minutes to wait. But there were many tables available.. spots at bar available...tables and bar area just needed cleaning.. so many others besides my party were waiting. We got seated in about 25 minutes and then food delivered... total meal time 11/2 hours for two people. Wasn't until about 1:33 that they cleaned up those areas..Servers were cleaning up and wiped tables. Food delicious but tables dirty.. that's why I didn't rate it better. read more

The first time I went to First Watch Towne Lake (9915 Barker Cypress Rd) was on a weekday morning. In comparison to other First Watch locations I've been to; the food was fine, and the servers were friendly. Unfortunately, they were understaffed at the time, which led to a long wait for seating, taking my order, etc. However, despite the insufficient manpower, the staff visibly hurried to attend the customers. When I returned for Sunday brunch with my wife, it was amply staffed. However, not my favorite First Watch location. read more

I tried the chicken sausage, steak, beet hummus, tomato salad, whipped feta, biscuits with jam, and an assortment of the veggies & fruits. The intercom is shoddy, she could not hear me, I repeated my order twice at her request each time speaking a little louder and she says, "I don't need to yell at her." His response again, "She didn't mean it that way, she's one of my best employees and we are taking care of your coffee today." I told him I wasn't interested in freebies, I was interested in great customer service and an apology. He continued to push the free coffee toward my car window to appease me, I suppose@. I declined again. He then says, "Well you have a reward today, do you want to take advantage of it?" I declined a third time. I don't need anything free. I'm a loyal customer who tries to support local, family-owned businesses and this was the treatment I received. I will not be back. Keep your free coffee. Keep your rewards. Keep your excuses. I absolutely love first watch! As someone who is trying to eat healthier, this is my go to breakfast place! This location is so welcoming and always has great alternatives for my food needs!
