I love the concept and idea of a safe place for cats and us being able to play with them so we decided to take time out of our morning to check this place out. The cats were friendly, mainly sleeping but it was well maintained and looked like a clean and safe environment for the cats. The reason for my low review is due to the way the business is handling a refund which I thought would be simple and is based on a confusion with their staff members. Online, it states a reservation needs to be made so while reading the rules, we made a reservation. I signed the waiver for myself and my 2 kids and walked in first. I saw they had a 30% military discount and asked if I could get a refund and repurchase. I was told she couldn't refund but since it didn't apply online, I would be able to email them and request for the difference back. Ok, no big deal. I paid for the second adult in store since now I know, we get military discount. Fast forward, I email and they refuse to give a refund. They said online, they can't verify that we qualify for the discount which is why we can only get the discount in store. I find it extremely rude for them to continue to emphasize that discounts are not applicable to online reservation since their system can't verify it when they could just simply ask for us to send through email our ID to get the price difference back like many other businesses would. I could also send the receipt showing where they did already verify us in store and where the discount is applied in store. The employee told me I would be able to request a refund and if I can prove my eligibility, I feel like they should honor it. They did offer a complimentary visit but again, I'm from Dallas so with this bad experience, I'm not enticed to return or recommend this place.

I have seen cat cafe's and pug cafes like this all over social media, so my friend and I were…read morecurious after brunch while I was in town. We were not disappointed!! You first walk in and it is a small sitting area to switch your shoes (strange for those that don't have an Asian upbringing). It's a Korean company, and I think the front desk girl said something about it being the first of this specific company in Houston?? Anyways-- after you switch your shoes, you go inside and pay, like $20/hour to go hang out with all of these adoptable cats! If you are a first responder/teacher/student there is a small discount! You get 1 canned/bottled drink from the fridge and you get a few handfuls of freeze dried chicken to give to the kitty cats. All of their bios are on the walls, just read their collars or ask the front desk girl. TBH This was a well spent $20 for something. All proceeds go to the supplies for the care of these beautiful babies. There were like,20 something cats, but the space is big enough and they have a lot of those robot self cleaning kitty litter boxes so it does not smell strongly of cats at all! There are plenty of board games and books to read, there are plenty of places to sit and outlets for your phone or laptop. I fell in love with one cat named, "Rome" but I was unprepared to take him home to Dallas. TBH the only thing I didn't really care for was asking the front desk girl about anything-- it seemed like I was bothering her.

The ticket included $10 towards the meal, so I ordered a burger with fries. Not bad! I thought maybe they'd add a hint of pink to the food for the full Barbie experience, but I guess a burger fits the beach vibe too. Overall, the cafe is mostly about the aesthetics, with everything decked out in pink, but not a lot of interactive elements. I loved seeing the little girls skating around with their parents. But for adult Barbie fans, I'm not sure it quite hit the mark.

It's kind of a combination of all 3 and I saw people studying, people bringing their family, and friends hanging out. First the good- it's a nice clean place with cute decor. They also have a very large selection of middle eastern pastries and deserts that you don't find in other places and a decent savory menu if you don't want your A1C to shoot up too high. You go and order and they'll bring your food, drink, or desert to you if it's something that needs to be prepared. It's a nice touch that gives it that upscale feeling. I'm not sure if they are actually wait staff that can take your order too or they just multi-task as order takers at the counter, prepare the food, clean tables, or what. Of course, for all the nice environment they provide, they charge a little more than say the Seattle corporate chain that shall not be named again but it's worth it and I totally get it. The part that I don't get is that when I ordered hot tea and I went to the counter with the sweeteners and such, I didn't see any other milk or creamer - fresh or otherwise. When I asked one the above mentioned waiters who was walking by if I could have some, I was told "We don't do that ". In fact, he almost looked offended that I would ask such a thing . I'd completely understand the lack of milk or creamer if I were sitting in a bazaar in Tehran, a tea house in Istanbul but I was in Houston, Texas, so denying a splash of dairy felt like a bizarre, unnecessary hill to die on. Also, besides the gentleman with the beard, nobody else was smiling or seemed approachable and after the tea incident and asking for the wifi password and again seeming to offend another person by asking, I didn't want to bother them that the wifi was not working. Even after I connected to the right SSID (it's the VIP one, not the Guest), internet was down so I had to use my own hotspot. Anyway, I hope this was a misunderstanding because I have to have something to cool off my tea or coffee and if it's ok for Captain Picard to put milk in his Earl Grey tea, then I feel like I'm in good company too and I really would like to try them again at some point. If I can't even put milk in my coffee or tea then I don't see that happening. Edit: After seeing the response on the tea, I really thought it was a misunderstanding but this is going to be a dealbreaker for me. It's one thing to serve the tea without anything added to it but to prevent a grown adult from adding it to their tea and making it the way they like is just a bit much.
