I'm from Dallas visiting Houston and wanted to take my two year old here since she's been showing an interest in cats. I love the concept and idea of a safe place for cats and us being able to play with them so we decided to take time out of our morning to check this place out. The cats were friendly, mainly sleeping but it was well maintained and looked like a clean and safe environment for the cats. The reason for my low review is due to the way the business is handling a refund which I thought would be simple and is based on a confusion with their staff members. Online, it states a reservation needs to be made so while reading the rules, we made a reservation. I signed the waiver for myself and my 2 kids and walked in first. I saw they had a 30% military discount and asked if I could get a refund and repurchase. I was told she couldn't refund but since it didn't apply online, I would be able to email them and request for the difference back. Ok, no big deal. I paid for the second adult in store since now I know, we get military discount. Fast forward, I email and they refuse to give a refund. They said online, they can't verify that we qualify for the discount which is why we can only get the discount in store. I find it extremely rude for them to continue to emphasize that discounts are not applicable to online reservation since their system can't verify it when they could just simply ask for us to send through email our ID to get the price difference back like many other businesses would. I could also send the receipt showing where they did already verify us in store and where the discount is applied in store. The employee told me I would be able to request a refund and if I can prove my eligibility, I feel like they should honor it. They did offer a complimentary visit but again, I'm from Dallas so with this bad experience, I'm not enticed to return or recommend this place. read more

I have seen cat cafe's and pug cafes like this all over social media, so my friend and I were curious after brunch while I was in town. We were not disappointed!! You first walk in and it is a small sitting area to switch your shoes (strange for those that don't have an Asian upbringing). It's a Korean company, and I think the front desk girl said something about it being the first of this specific company in Houston?? Anyways-- after you switch your shoes, you go inside and pay, like $20/hour to go hang out with all of these adoptable cats! If you are a first responder/teacher/student there is a small discount! You get 1 canned/bottled drink from the fridge and you get a few handfuls of freeze dried chicken to give to the kitty cats. All of their bios are on the walls, just read their collars or ask the front desk girl. TBH This was a well spent $20 for something. All proceeds go to the supplies for the care of these beautiful babies. There were like,20 something cats, but the space is big enough and they have a lot of those robot self cleaning kitty litter boxes so it does not smell strongly of cats at all! There are plenty of board games and books to read, there are plenty of places to sit and outlets for your phone or laptop. I fell in love with one cat named, "Rome" but I was unprepared to take him home to Dallas. TBH the only thing I didn't really care for was asking the front desk girl about anything-- it seemed like I was bothering her. read more

Finally made my way over to the cat haven lounge and it is just as magical as I imagined it would be! I love how you need to take your shoes off and put on some slippers. Makes me feel right at home. The cats are very chill and very happy, you can tell. Some ventured over to hang with us and this space is so inviting. Lots of places for the cats to climb or hide and toys for them to play with. It was the last hour of the day so we didn't order any drinks/snacks but next time we decided we'll do that part of the cafe too! If you have a minute to spare to socialize with these kitties this is a great place to hang out. read more

Super adorable cat cafe! First one I've been to and it didn't disappoint. Be prepared for cuteness overload!! Located at Katy Asian town, and plenty of parking available! When I went they had a special going on so keep on the lookout! They do have discounts for healthcare workers, military, teacher, and vet! Able to engage w/ the cute cats for an hour with an ability to extend ur time. The cats here are friendly, and are all for adoption! First time visiting and it was so worth the drive! It was really big and so decked out for the cats with all kinds of toys and beds and stuff for them to climb on. It was $22 hour and it includes a drink. If you want to stay longer you can pay $9 for an extra 30 minutes. They additionally have discounts listed at the desk (although I'm not sure if those only are applicable for in person since there isn't a feature for it when booking on their website). They're so friendly and cute!!! Just make sure to give them space and be gentle! Stumpy loved to play. Axel was sooo sweet and loved the treats. Clover, Jennifer, Ursa, and Percy were super affectionate. Mischief LOVED to play and was sweet. There was a little, mainly white, calico kitten (didn't catch her name) who I loved so so much she was very silly but so sweet. They had couple items of merch like bags, cups, stickers, croc charms and they had a mystery prize like option for two dollars. The staff as well were all very kind and helpful. It was clean and a good temperature inside. They have a bathroom as well. There's also so much stuff in the area and tons of easy parking! Their website is very informative and their Instagram ( @ cathaven_lounge) is kept up to date. They as well have a lot of fun events going on like trivia, yoga, and fundraisers. Very few interaction opportunities for my daughter. Think we saw a total of 5, maybe 6 different cats. Several small children put the few that were there on edge. Saw other places with a minimum age requirement, and I see why. Definitely not nearly worth the cost. read more

We were waiting for our son to get his hair done so we wandered around the shopping center and thought we'd try this place out. I kinda had no idea what to expect except for seeing cats. You walk in the front door and you have to take your shoes off and put some of their slides on. It was a little hard to find the right size but we made it work. Tip: bring socks if you don't already have some on. You can sign up ahead of time to reserve a spot for busier times. We were able to walk in and sign a waiver. They do have veteran discounts. They also have a drink cooler with a small selection of bottle drinks. You can buy cat snacks if you want. Lots of seats, tables, cat toys and of course cats running around. Some cats are friendlier than others. They are all adoptable. It was hard to leave without adopting one. But it was fun to pet them and play with them. This was our first time coming to a cat cafe and it was so much fun! They offer discounts for first responders, teachers, etc as well. We had so much fun playing with all of the kitties. We were considering adopting one of them but could not find him on any of the websites. My only complaint was that there were TONS of fleas (go figure but still) on the couch where they all slept and cuddled. It's cool. But the front desk dude doesn't offer any information. I walked in first time with my daughter, I'm just wow cats (very distracted) was told to fill out a waiver, I did for me and my kid. Then I was told that's it, that's not true I had to go back and pay and I wasn't quite sure what I was paying for but it was 32$ for me and my kid which seemed kinda high but okay. Then the dude comes up and is talking about 10 mins left and I was ohh this is timed! 16$ dollars an hour to look at cats sleeping seemed kinda steep. Then I noticed he didn't charge my child the child price and he said oh well I gave you happy hour. Like but not the child happy hour price. Seemed strange how disorganized and lack of information the front desk people had and also almost all the board games they have there were just for show cuz they were missing pieces and completely gone just a box lol. read more

Such a fun experience to go and chill with adoptable cats. They have tons of toys and seating for you to play with and enjoy the company of all the cats. Some are super playful while others watched from their secret hiding spots. You could even buy snacks to feed them. Definitely a must go if you love cats or are interested in getting a cat. read more

I was looking for a cute place to chill and relax, and Cat Haven Lounge was the perfect choice. Upon entering, the lovely girl who worked there was so kind and respectful. She made sure to inform us of anything we needed. They provided sandals to make sure everything was clean and safe for both us and the cats. The inside was clean and well taken care of, and they even had tables and chairs to study or chill at. The cats were my favorite part for sure. I like how calm the environment was, and made a great place for me and my siblings to hang out at. They even have a little drink area where you can pick out something refreshing with lots of choices.
