We decided that we wanted to go play with some wonderful cats and we found nine whiskers on S. Mason Rd. and all I need to say is run don't walk for this beautiful experience. For $18 you get an hour to spend with all the cats that they have in their facility and you can buy treats to give them and Special cat lollipops to give them Alex gave us all the rules and let us know everything about all the cats who are mostly up for adoption if you would like to adopt one. He was so informative and friendly, which made the experience even better The cats have lots of towers to play on and a hamster wheel and cat scratching stands around the room and there's plenty of places for them to lay down and hide and nap. There are places on the walls for them to layout on and lots of toys for them to play with. You must have socks on to enter the lounge and play with the kittens. We had such an amazing experience that I cannot wait to go back. This is a great place to bring children before you get them a pet to see how they interact with the animals. And again, Alex made this experience 100% better and every Business should have someone like him running their shop. I highly recommend that everybody go visit them and enjoy the kittens and the cats. read more

The 9 Whiskers Lounge was such a treat to visit. My teens enjoyed the Valentine's Day special event and have been talking about it for days. The owners were so kind and cared deeply for everyone to enjoy themselves. If you love cats and want to hang out with them this is the perfect place. The neutral colors on the walls and equipment was very relaxing. There was no cat pee smell which has been our experience at other 'cat cafe' type establishments. The cats were friendly and curious. This spot is such a cozy and aesthetic cat lounge. I've only experienced one cat cafe in Seattle, but this one is much larger and you can tell the staff really cares about the cats' wellbeing and safety. They took the time to go over the rules and instructions on how to interact with the cats and made sure we had hand sanitizers and wipes when entering and exiting. They're also attentive and very kind throughout the whole experience. There's plenty of toys and they give out treats for you to feed the cats yourselves as well! There is a little locker station to store your fragile items with lint rollers if you need it. All cats are up for adoption and would highly recommend checking this place out! read more

A friend and I visited in 3-9-25, The cafe is clean, cats are well taken care of and the owner is very aware of what he wants from this cafe. I felt like from the start, a lot was considered in putting this space together, down to furniture placement and decor. You get to choose from a lot of cat wands before you enter the room, you also get a key to a locker to put all your stuff in. Cats are introduced on the wall with their pics All the cats are comfortable enough to where each one feels safe so all of their personalities stands out. They have an abundance of wall space, not just stairs, almost like wall hotels, for them to create their own bubble as well as mental stimulation toys. The owner and workers do their best to be aware of what's going on to make the experience for both cats and guess enjoyable. The cafe puts effort into helping us have individual moments with the kitties. They gave us towels to attract the cats onto our laps and gave us dental treats to give out The owner is aware that not all cats can fit in this environment, so when this happens, they try to find a home for them outside of this space. He also tries to highlight the older cats personalities because it is harder for older ones to get adopted when there are so many cute kittens around. I really hope more people come visit whether is it to just support the place and be able to chill with some cats, or if you want an environment that helps you choose a cat based on how they are during, what I think, is the best time of day, to get to know a cat. Once a month on Mondays, they have four hours with the kitties for $25. If you work from home, or your a student who is studying during this time, please stop by if you just want to chill with cats. read more

When I found out they had a Sphynx I booked a ticket immediately!! My husband, me, and step daughter made our way across town (over an hour drive) for this place. Parking was easy, there is a large lot and the space was cozy and clean. I couldn't smell cat litter at all! In the main area you have pictures of all the cats and there are various doors to go through to prevent cat runaways. They even had complimentary juice for afterwards. The cats seemed well taken care of and had all kinds of places to climb on to, scratch, even to run on a giant wheel. This place was a cat lovers dream aka me! I'm giving it 5 stars for the place overall but I will say, none of the cats we came across were overly friendly. Even the Sphynx was skittish and every Sphynx I've met is a cuddly bug including mine that I had for 9 years (rip H). I can't fault a business for something out of their control. This place is fantastic, and the staff are kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable. The lounge is immaculately clean and spacious for the kitties to roam. After all, you are their guests! Mega impressed when we walked in to 9 Whiskers Lounge. Clean, tons of kitties, no smell. We fell in love with two of the "Rare Breed" kittens. Our two were 12 week old brother and sister "ragdoll/munchkin" kittens. We adopted these babies and they are the best ever! They just stepped into their new environment without any fear, were well adapted and love one another. Here's my question.....concern??? On the websites "Rare Breed" pull down, the wording says these are "purebred kittens." Tom (owner) pointed out the mom and dad cats that reside at 9 Whiskers. I would have thought we would get SOME KIND of paperwork stating the mom and dad's names, date of birth, weight and stating they are pure bred. Nothing. The website also states that when adopting a kitten/cat, that you will receive current medical records. There are NONE! How can they raise kittens for 12+ weeks and not have ANY paperwork from a vet???? He told me they use "Emancipet?" They did give me a copy of a sheet that had two stickers on it with dates from the first two necessary shots. But NOTHING on this sheet mentioned cats names or 9 Whiskers. Just 2 stickers and a date. For these EXPENSIVE ($800 each) kitties, you'd think they would have a vet with better records--or any records. Not sure what they intended to give us when the website states you will be given a copy of their current medical records. I did speak with Tom a few times asking for their medical records. He stated that the vet checked them out and they were fine. Hmmmm........are they really pure bred? Have they been seen by a vet? Thoughts? Taking them to our family vet tomorrow - hope they are healthy cause we love them already! read more

9 Whiskers is my new go-to place for cute date spot. The cats all have different personalities so there's a sweet baby for everyone. We went during one of their board game nights, and they had so many cat-themed board game options. Also, the owners are siblings and work hard to promote a community vibe which I definitely feel and appreciate. We had a great time! read more

I went here in the afternoon and the cats were all so sweet and sleepy! An employee gave me a towel for my legs and put one of the cats on my lap, and it was very calming to pet it for a while. It also wasn't crowded, so I feel like I could really get my hours worth of cat time. There were a few cat treats and water bottles provided for free, which was very nice. The employees all really care about the cats' wellbeing, so it felt like very safe and controlled. Would definitely recommend if you want to go to a cat cafe that isn't too crowded or chaotic.
