Trifecta with Belgian waffle and chicken sausage

One of my favorite places to grab breakfast on a Sunday morning. Food and service is always great!

If I could give this place negative stars, I would! I came in here and ordered a breakfast, and when I ordered it and picked it up, it looked like somebody had half eating it and was missing all my extra additives to the breakfast I paid for. Horrible!!!!!! Like that's how yall pack food to go. So disappointing. When I called, someone picked up the phone and then proceeded to hang up on me, so I had to call again and then proceed to drive back up. Once I got there, the manager, with her lack of empathy, acted like it was normal ........ done and done!!!!!! DONE!

I was invited for a return visit and did so via takeout 10/13. Many condiments we needed were not included. We had the traditional with chicken sausage, which was a tasty alternative to pork. I was pleasantly surprised by the broccoli cheddar soup and roast beef w/ horseradish; both very good. The turkey burger tasted like a frozen patty and didn't have good flavor or texture. I also visited 10/21. I ordered the traditional and trifecta with scrambled eggs. The cook made the eggs incorrectly and rather than correcting the order, he/she chose to chop up two over easy eggs and present them as scrambled. I notified the server at the hostess stand and she said she would inform the manager. I didn't have time for the order to be remade. All in all, nice people but I have never had a smooth service at this location.

    PESTO CHICKEN QUINOA BOWL

First Watch is my favorite brunch spot in Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio. Their PESTO CHICKEN QUINOA BOWL is nutrient-dense and delicious! The quinoa was cooked just right. It had a unique texture and nutty flavor. Mixed with the right amount kale, shredded carrots and tangy, sweet, roasted tomatoes topped with sliced chicken breast, basil pesto sauce, and Feta cheese equals a well-balanced meal in a bowl. And for beverage I had a glass of kale tonic juice which was simply refreshing! Dined in with hubby on 9/17/22

Always dependable for excellent food and service. Today I got the eggs Benedict with salmon and dressed greens. What a huge portion! How they perfect their consistency perfect eggs, I don't know. The greens are so fresh and dressed with just the right amount of dressing.

We've always enjoyed First Watch. We've eaten at this franchise in San Diego, Kansas City and Ohio and it's always excellent. The breakfast foods are a bit more creative than what you'll find in similar places and they're always tasty and plenty. This time around we ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine and the Breakfast Tacos and they were all excellent. Their coffee, which at one point was awful and tasted more like chicory is good again (thanks, guys). The prices are competitive and the service is always great even when they are busy. They don't take reservations, but they use the NoWait app which is integrated with Yelp*. It allows you to call ahead and place your name on the list. Once they're ready for you they text you. Simple and very convenient.

If you want great coffee, this isn't the place. But it's a nice little place with fairly friendly staff and a sitting area to chat or work.

We go across town (at least 20 minutes), hopes high and taste buds ready, only to land at this spot and find the energy a little more "BLAH" than "CAFFEEINE PARTY." I'm all about giving new to me places a chance, so I let them know I was from out of town, expecting an enthusiastic welcome or at least a menu breakdown. Instead, I got about as much excitement as a decaf espresso shot. I was this close to skipping the order altogether, but my inner self said keep going. The baristas making the drinks were great, and the space itself is roomy enough for laptop warriors or a catch-up with pals. The drinks, though, didn't have me doing cartwheels, but hey, maybe it was just an off day for my taste buds. I can't begin to remember the name of my drink Would I go back? Probably not. Will our Cincinnati crew give it another shot? Also unlikely. But hey, if you're nearby and feeling adventurous, maybe you'll catch them on a day when the energy is as strong as their coffee. Every coffee run has its own story, and this one just leaned a little more decaf than drama.

That said, I had the Blackened Salmon Salad which was outstanding. The piece is salmon was huge and perfectly cooked. The dressing complimented everyone on the plate beautifully. Just yum! Mark had the daily special - meatloaf. He said the mashed potatoes had the taste of box potatoes and the meatloaf was just okay. Some gravy would have gone a long way in improving the overall flavor of the dish. Someone had a Simple Sammy breakfast sandwich. It was nothing to write home about. The place is small and cute. There is a restaurant next door with additional tables. I'm not sure how all that work. Our server was super nice and helpful. We took Brownie Cheesecake Covered in Chocolate and a piece of Peanut Butter Pie home. The desserts were fantastic! A home run! If you go, either leave room for dessert or order something to take home. You will not be disappointed.
