Ordered the standard eggs, bacon potatoes and toast combo... even though there were so many other wonderfully creative specialties on the menu. Not only was the platter displayed beautifully, it was perfect and a lot of food. Had to take 1/3 home. Had ordered bacon crispy and indeed it also was exceptional. The artisan toast was icing on the cake. We also ordered bloody mary's and were superb. The ambiance was light and airy in there with tons of seating. That being said, at 10 a.m. on a weekday, the place was packed. I liked that I could pay at the table myself scanning a code. Other places have this feature sure, but it just shows they thought of everything to make the customer happy. Finally, our service was great. My partner and I decided to stop in for brunch and order take out, they were very busy on that Friday morning but the energy was still friendly and welcoming (not to mention all the great aromas..) Out of all the businesses that have taken a spot at this location, we strongly believe First Watch will be the one to last here in the Festival at Riva. Not only is their food healthy and delicious, but their customer service excels... they treated us like family friends! Miss Lynn was our hostess and she was more than accommodating to us--we were taken to their back room and given seats to avoid the crowds of people coming through the door for dine-in. We ordered the Market Hash with a side of Million Dollar Bacon and a Purple Haze. She also gave us an additional Purple Haze since they were busy. The drink itself was tart yet comforting and refreshing... It was very sweet of her to make sure we were still comfortable and taken care of while we waited patiently for our food. :) While waiting, I went to wash my hands and ran into another woman who worked there. I asked when they had opened and if she enjoyed working here, to which she said it's been about 4.5 months since opening and she really does love it there. It was a short but genuine conversation and I'm happy for her!! When I went to pay, she also gave me a $20 gift card for our next dine-in visit. I wish I had gotten her name... :( but to my fellow hard working women in there, thank you! I hope we see you both the next time we come in... We had to wait about 30 minutes but we would've waited for as long as they needed! The Market Hash was healthy yet filling and I can't wait to come back to try everything else in the future... if you love sweet and salty, the Million Dollar Bacon is a quintessential. We came here on a Sunday for brunch. We understand the time we came was during brunch rush hour and in Annapolis there is usually a wait. We put our names down for a table and told the wait would be 30 minutes. We waited for nearly an hour to be seated. Our wait staff wasn't very engaging with us. But since we waited for so long for a table we decided to give it a try. After we placed our food, it took another 1:10 to get us food the first dish delivered and then another 10 minutes for the next. We didn't get offered anything from our server like other tables received next to us (one of them had their bill comped). We will not come back. Not worth the wait when we can get similar food somewhere else. Honestly, between the wait for the table and food, it was a waste of over 2 hours. read more

The food wasn't bad but not great, average. Ambiance typical breakfast place. Still not a fan, there are better breakfast places with better food, certainly better service, and less expensive. Service today was awful! Seemed the server was always in a hurry and not listening, turning, and leaving without asking "is there anything else"? I had to flag her down three times to ask for additional "stuff" that I would have asked for at one time had she not been in such a hurry. It's either poor training or the server just not caring. I ordered the "The Traditional Breakfast" with the eggs "over easy", but they were not. The pork sausage links were cold like they had been precooked and waiting to be served. The meal was served with maybe a tablespoon of ketchup for the potatoes and less than a teaspoon of strawberry jelly for the toast (less than what is in one of the containers at some restaurants). When I ask for additional ketchup I asked for two, she brought one. No water refill. This location does not have the level of service and quality of food typical of the location in Pikesville, the only two where I've eaten. read more

We went to the soft opening and everything was great. We have been to two of the First Watch restaurants in Maryland and this is by far the best. We were informed that this location is the biggest store in their fleet. They also will be serving alcohol. Their bar opens out to a patio. The restaurant is airy and bright. The apps arrived after our meals because our server forgot to ring them in. Asked for soup, got grits. Food was decent overall. Daughter loved the French Toast. Shrimp and Grits were okay. Tomato Soup okay. Million Dollar bacon is amazing. Donut holes were good. I think our server Chrissy was just having a bad day. She also messed up the guy's order next to us. Our first visit to First Watch was great. The service was prompt, the food tasty and the prices quite reasonable for Annapolis. I had the "Works" omelet and frankly it was one of the best omelets that I have eaten in years. I was surprised to be offered greens (a light mixture) as an option to the usual fried potatoes.
