I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

We were greeted by a very nice gentlemen who let us know the place had been there since 1975!! The service was great. The chef was great. The food was delicious! I had filet mignon and scallops with fried rice. Everything was perfect and flavorful. Steak was tender and scallops were perfectly cooked. Hubby had teriyaki chicken with fried rice. Chicken was tender and not at all dry. The fried rice was so flavorful! Exactly what one is looking for at a hibachi establishment. The vegetables were cooked perfectly as well and I came home with left overs. The prices were quite reasonable and they are generous with the portions. It isn't too loud, the people are super friendly, the food is great. There's a koi pond out front. Whole place looks they put a lot of effort into it. It's beautiful. Only good things to say about this lovely place!

This is the most despicable excuse of a restaurant I've ever had the displeasure of dining at. My…read morelife is worse for having spent hours here. To start, our reservation for a large party (around ~12 people) was at 7:00pm. We all sat there in the back, waiting and waiting and waiting, until the hibachi experience started over an hour and a half later. If they are understaffed, they should not be accepting this many reservations. We initially all ordered waters, which took over an hour to come out. Every time we would go to the bar to order a cocktail (since our server was MIA for most of the night), they would refuse to give us water because "it was coming". Our server had no issue pressuring our table to order sake bombs though, and those came out quickly as they were pretty pricey. I ordered a cocktail that never said it was frozen, but came out filled with little ice pellets that took up most of the glass. I ordered veggie tempura and was charged the same amount as the veggie + shrimp one even though it came with one piece less. My sushi roll came out with no chopsticks, no soy sauce, and I ended up having to eat it with a fork. It was dry and disgusting. My friend's sushi somehow came out 45 minutes later, even though we ordered it at the same time. After letting them know I was vegetarian, they brought out some unidentifiable soup and after managing to flag someone down to ask if it was vegetarian, they told me "probably not". No one seemed to know what was in it, or why I was brought it after explicitly stating my dietary instructions. During the hibachi experience, all the fun tricks that other tables got were missing. It was lazy, sloppy, and our table felt like an afterthought. Keep in mind this reservation was to celebrate our friend's birthday, and due to the 1.5 hours we had to wait for our hibachi chef, the rest of the evening festivities were messed up. The icing on the cake was having to auto tip 20% for the worst service and worst dining experience of my life. I don't say this lightly, but Kaze needs to close down. What a despicable excuse for a restaurant. I can only warn you against visiting - you will regret it.

He checked in with us throughout the meal to make sure everything tasted good, offered to cut our hand rolls in half so we could share, and even gave us a salmon belly on the house. Black Cod Nigiri ($6): Best bite of the night and it was on the seasonal menu. It was cooked and I'm not sure what they did to it, but it was absolutely phenomenal. Salmon Truffle Ponzu ($18): My second favorite dish of the night. The salmon was super fresh and the truffle ponzu elevated the whole thing. Scallop Foie Gras ($24): Beautiful presentation and good but surprisingly not as flavorful as the salmon truffle ponzu. I was expecting more umami from the foie gras. Salmon Belly Toro Nigiri ($16): Salmon belly with fatty toro topped with ikura. Delicious and melts in your mouth. Toro Wagyu Uni Nigiri ($22): Fatty tuna, A5 wagyu beef, and uni nigiri. My husband thought it was fun to eat, but said he would not order it again. Nodoguro Nigiri ($13): I looked this up, and it's apparently a rare high end deep sea fish from Japan known as the toro of white fish. Based purely on taste though, I thought it was okay and did not compare to the salmon belly. Kanpachi Cherry Blossom ($6.50): A pretty rosy pink color with a subtle cherry blossom flavor. Okay in terms of taste compared to the other fishes we had. Ami Ebi Nigiri ($10): The sweet shrimp was a bit too raw for me. Crab Uni Butter Nigiri ($12): I did not really taste the difference between the uni infused butter and regular butter so I am not sure it is worth the price, though it was still good. Snow Crab Handroll ($7): So much better than imitation crab. Recommend out of all the handrolls we tried. Eel Handroll ($7.50): Not my favorite but my husband said it was one of the best eel he has ever had. Lobster Handroll ($12): Good but nothing special. Volcano Roll ($28): This took the longest to make and was the last item we received even though we saw them start preparing it at the beginning of the meal. The presentation was beautiful and Jayden even sprayed gold on it for our photo and video. It comes with snow crab, avocado, lobster, and bay scallop topped with eel sauce and was really yummy with lots of seafood. The only downside was that the roll underneath broke apart easily which made it hard to eat. Fresh Wasabi Root ($10): We watched them grind the wasabi fresh which was cool to see. It doesn't have a kick to it though so I wouldn't order it again since I like a tiny bit of spiciness. Matcha Mojito ($15): Not for me. It had a bit too much club soda. Yuzu Saketini ($15): I liked this one more than the matcha mojito. The yuzu flavor was prominent and it kind of reminded me of a Lemon Drop.
