I normally love sushi go, but today there there was plastic on my sushi. This is a one-off situation, as this restaurant is normally great, but this was a huge miss today

I got the sushi bowl for the first time and it made me feel... healthy The combination of the different elements really makes this a whole experience, from the crab to the crunchy texture plus the sauce from the mayo and sauce. They make the food very quickly and the portion was very good.

A great spot to try out when you're craving sushi with no frills. The employees are always polite, and the rolls are affordable and straightforward. I've tried the poke bowl and a few rolls on separate occasions. The poke bowl is a steal for the price and you get a generous serving of fish. The majority of the rolls are California rolls with a variation of fresh fish on top, but my favorite roll is the Dang Roll. They don't skimp when it comes to the slices of sashimi and nigiri either. Give them a shot for a quick sushi fix.

Sushi go is honestly my first choice for sushi because it's cheap, good quality, and quick. I tried this location which isn't my usual but I am pleased! I ordered online and got there a little earlier than the quoted time and ended up having to wait til the quoted time. No problem. They were pretty busy with orders when I got there. The staff were kind and I was still in and out. I got a California roll and a Philadelphia roll and both were delicious. You definitely get bang for your buck here. I've had a weird aversion to sushi salmon lately so I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy the philly roll but it was melt in your mouth delicious! Can't wait to be back :)

First time trying SushiGo we did a pickup order. The plane was empty. Was greeted immediately we entered. Ordered nigiri and salmon roll. Food was good and smelled fresh. I forgot to order some miso soup. We really wanted to try theirs. No frills just decent sushi

Sushi Go has been open for about 8 months and is not far from me. I had seen it several times but never went in because I have my sushi places and I rarely play the restaurant lottery when it comes to Sushi. Today I was craving sushi and my favorite place did not open until 5, so I gave them a try. I was pleasantly surprised! We were greeted warmly by Philip, our Sushi Chef for today. He was a super nice guy and had a great attitude. He guided us through the menu and we settled upon 3 rolls, The Superman Roll, a Cucumber Roll, and the Crunch Roll. They were all amazing! Being that we were the only ones in the place, we had a great opportunity to visit with Philip as he cleaned the sushi making area after he finished our roll. It was a great experience all around!

For $25 I was expecting better presentation, and better quality. I could have gotten better at Tom Thumb. I placed my order at 6:50 and the email stated it would be ready by 7:30. I get to the place around 7:25 and come to find out it had been ready since 7:10. I get home and when I opened the bag I was unimpressed with the wrap, there was barely any meat in it and it had mass amounts of bamboo. The sushi roll had way too much sauce and not even flavorful. I gave them 3 stars because i like the set up and convenient the location is

A diamond in the rough. Super clean and cozy spot. Very affordable and fast. Even though it's affordable they don't cut corners. Everything is prepared right in front of you they it should be. The sushi was fresh and clean tasting. My only knock was it was a little too much sauce on my Angy Wife roll. Just dabbed it off and it was fine.

Picture of the self service system. Makes ordering very convenient and we were able to take our time looking at the menu

Sushi Go had high quality, fresh fish, and great service. The restaurant was nice and clean, and we had a great time eating there with our son. As someone who eats fish/sushi/poke often, I can be quite picky about fish quality, and I must say I was very impressed with Sushi Go's roll quality and the variety of options on the menu. I highly recommend the Rainbow Roll, the Tuna rolls, the edamame and the gyoza (pot stickers)! All of it was delicious and I we will definitely be returning in the future. There is also a new feature in the restaurant I have only ever experienced while visiting Japan: a self-service ordering system. You pick your items, submit and pay for it- and then they make your food! However there was still a nice gentleman behind the counter to answer our questions and help us out when we needed it.

Just ok for what you pay for. Imitation crab and just ok flavor wise. Miso soup tasted watered down.

I've been to Michelin starred omakases (including tempura omakases) in Japan and New York, and this place honestly meets or comes extremely close to fitting the bill in terms of food and service. At the Michelin restaurants, you pay almost double the price for high quality ingredients, stellar service, ambiance, and a Japanese toilet :P For $100 pp for the tempura omakase at Takumi Hachi, you leave feeling full and satisfied, with a great selection of light and deliciously fried fritters. Each person gets a bowl of their divinely delicious tempura sauce with a generous amount of shaved daikon (not even lying when i say this is my favorite tempura sauce i've had, i could've just drank it on its own) and a selection of salts, with each course given a recommendation of which salt to use. In terms of ambiance: frankly speaking, if it was just the counter service omakase, i'd say it would feel more stuffy and unapproachable. But there is a general seating area that is not counter service where you can order off the menu for sushi, robata, and a la carte options. No dress code enforced or recommended, so you can be dining with all sorts of patrons with different sizes of families and children. whether or not this is your jam, it's still an extremely accessible place to dine for anyone and everyone. Reservations were incredibly easy to make (tempura omakase only From Sunday thru Thursday). Service was really kind and attentive, my husband's water literally never went below half empty. The only thing to take service to the next level is if they cleaned/wiped your plate/gave you a new plate between each course. American toilet. Lol. That's neither here nor there, but the bathroom is very clean lol! They were also sweet enough to read my reservation note for the occasion for dining and gifted us a delicious strawberry mousse, accompanied with a surprise tableside matcha to end the meal. I'm already looking forward to try their kaiseki set meal next time, and know that this place is a top contender to take my friends or loved ones for special occasions. I can't speak much for their sushi, but I added on some robata and grill menu items to the omakase and they were fantastic. Highly recommend the maitake mushroom tempura add on to your course. If you order ebi sushi, they offer to take the head once you're done eating the sushi and either put it in a miso soup or fry it for you, which i thought was a wonderful option. Also, we got tempura anago, something I've never had anywhere else, served two different ways. That alone was enough to make this experience stand out. For an experience like I had tonight, I felt as if the restaurant should be more full. Maybe because it is tucked away behind the other chain restaurants in Addison that are a little easier to see. Don't hesitate if you see the price tag, I definitely think you get a great value for food, service, and experience. We were there for two hours and enjoyed it very much. Thank goodness i don't have to drive all the way to downtown Dallas to enjoy some delicious Japanese food without the headache and hassle of finding parking and an accessible reservation.

The left side/entrance area does have a bleach/cleaner type smell but I didn't notice it further into the restaurant. We did the Kaiseki Omakase. Staff is super friendly and explained every step of the experience. Like all courses meals - smaller portions but overall left super full. The clay pot was actually a huge portion as both of us ended up getting two bowls worth. Pacing of the meal was solid, kept it moving but didn't feel rushed at all. We were celebrating a birthday and they gave us a sweet treat as well at the end which was so appreciated! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion

I want to extend a huge shout-out to our waiter, Vivian, for giving us insight on the food and bars/places to check around in Dallas! She went above and beyond :) Miso soup with silky tofu was delicious, they balanced out the yellow miso well with a hint of (maybe) crate-barrelled? For the nigiri I had the fatty tuna, a5 wagyu, and king salmon. They were all absolutely delicious and warped me to Japan. I was reminded of the same quality and taste - which checks out since they import their fish from Japan! The special kome roll was so delicious I ate it very slowly to savor every bite and memory of sushi in Japan. For dessert I had the deep fried cheesecake - I think the last time I had this I was 12 at Mr. sushi in Boston and all my memories came back.
