I have probably passed by this restaurant 1,000 times and never stopped in. Today I finally tried it based on its positive reviews. I was not disappointed. This is a great fast casual Japanese restaurant. It offers poke bowls, sushi, fried rice, and hibachi. My son and I both go the build-your-own poke bowls. The fish and all the ingredients tasted fresh, the topping selection was big, and the serving size was good. The food came out really fast and the staff is friendly. We will definitely add this to our regular rotation for a quick meal between activities. We were going to another poke restaurant down the street but Ginza is much, much better imo. read more

Great sushi. Quick and easy. Not much in atmosphere but it's take-out anyway. Most people call in.

Over the past year or so, Ginza has become our regular takeout spot for Sunday evening -- you know, that part of the weekend when no one is going out, but you also don't feel like cooking. So, I've eaten their sushi more times than I can count, and it has rarely ever disappointed. The salmon and yellowtail in particular are phenomenal, so much so that most of our order is just that. I lived in California for several years and had a lot of fresh sushi there, and Ginza is right up there with the best I've had in California. In fact, I find Ginza to have more fresh and more flavorful cuts of sushi than most high-end places in Dallas, and at a fraction of the price. Ginza's prices are reasonable for what is essentially a hole-in-the-wall in a strip center, but they're a steal for the quality. Quick tips: 1. Takeout is king here. The interior is clean and perfectly lovely, but it's not designed for the Instagram era. I'm okay with that; I don't want to pay an upcharge on my food for the sake of fashionable decor. 2. Salmon and yellowtail sushi can't be beat. I've also enjoyed their poke bowls from time to time. The dumplings are solid, but I haven't had any of their other cooked food. I'm sure it's fantastic. But if you want a guaranteed amazing dinner, go for the sushi. On top of the amazing quality and value, the owners and staff are so sweet. A few weeks ago, they forgot to include our dumpling order in our takeout bag. We just shrugged it off...but about 20 minutes after we had picked it up, the phone rang. It was Ginza, asking us if we got our dumplings. They said (because they know we're eating there at least once a week) not to order dumplings next time, and they would give us some for free to make up for the missed order. Due to travel, it was unexpectedly several weeks before we were back, but they had NOT forgotten -- there was a little sticky note at the register. They were determined to make it up to us, which was so sweet. My only complaint is that they recently started packaging the ginger and wasabi together in little containers. Any ginger touching the wasabi soaks up the wasabi flavor pretty intensely, even if the ginger isn't discolored...so then it becomes ginger roulette, hoping you're not popping a piece of ginger in your mouth that's going to smack you with intense wasabi. I'm a big fan of ginger and always want to eat all of it, so it's sad to have to throw some away simply because it was touching the wasabi. Wish they would go back to just putting little piles of ginger inside the sushi containers, farrrrr away from the wasabi. Still, 10/10, best sushi in Dallas. read more

My granddaughter & I arrived at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. Luckily there was no one else in the place, as I found it a little difficult reading their menu up on the wall. There were no menus on the tables, so I assumed that was the only menu they had. A friendly lady came out and motioned to the table right in front of me and told me they have menus there also. I love sushi! My daughter orders delivery from here often, but I prefer to eat out. I never knew it was here on Midway, very easy access and nearby! We placed our order, found we needed to go behind the lady and her register in order to get our drinks, which is kinda strange - no way would I let people walk behind me like that, lol. We picked our table and plopped down and boom, they opened the doors and let all the hungry people in, geez I don't know where they all came from! A few picked up orders, some ate in and others ordered to go. The system was efficient and calm, nice to see. I only had sight of one person in the meal prep & that was a man making sushi in front of the kitchen near the dining area. The kitchen behind him was quiet, but there must have been a LOT going on to get all those orders out so fast. And then all the walk-ins were gone and we were still there chatting, along with a couple of other tables. We ordered the basics - the California roll & the spicy crab meat roll (my granddaughter) & I ordered the rainbow roll. When I dine with my daughter, she always orders unique rolls, but I couldn't think & went for safe. I also noticed that everything is served in to go containers, which for me is awfully casual, but, handy if you order more than you can eat & need to take it with you! I drove past this place a few times and then saw it pop up on Yelp. Best decision ever giving this place a chance!!! I'm barely a quarter of the way done eating! I placed an online order for a Hibachi Chicken and Steak Meal with Fried rice. I got a text saying it would be be ready in 20 min. I pulled into the parking lot a little bit early. It is kind of small but I think there is parking on the side of the building. I walked in and was impressed. I honestly thought it was one of those places with hibachi place with the table grills. It's more of a carry out with about 10 tables. But I'd like to highlight that it was super clean and bright. The lady that greeted me was super nice and had a huge smile. Definitely made me feel welcome. I waited a few minutes and then she brought my order to me. Got home in about 15min. My food was still really warm. Everything looks fresh and amazing. The fried rice was great but not what I was expecting. It was on the very light brown side made with maybe Jasmine rice. The vegetables were fresh and chunky. Still crispy. The steak was a bit overcooked rather on the well done side but I'm not angry at it. The chicken was absolutely perfect. It had the nice grill sear but was tender and flavorful. They skimped me out of ingredients last time I was there. Usually it's a decent place, customer service isn't so great but the food usually makes up for it. This time I waited for my food and even tipped for my takeout but they gave me half a bowl. I consider myself really knowledgeable about Asian food(even though poke bowls are originated in Hawaii) they didn't add the ponzu sauce I also asked for. Some of my co-workers went here for lunch and brought me back some rolls for lunch. They have a great value special of 3 regular rolls for $15.49 which is one heck of a deal. I got the Tuna Avocado Roll, Salmon Avocado Roll and the Philadelphia Roll. You can tell the quality of the fish is good and there were 6 pieces per roll. We've passed by this place multiple times and we finally got a chance to try it out! As soon as we walked, we were greeted immediately by the lady taking orders. She was very sweet and patient as we were looking over the menu. We ordered a couple miso soups, a spider roll (not pictured), dancing shrimp roll, hot mama roll, yellowfin jalapeño roll, and dynamite roll. Of course I used the Yelp discount of 10% off! I've tried many miso soups and it's a pretty basic thing to get but wow, at Ginza Express, it's got such a unique smoky flavor. The sushi was awesome, very fresh. My favorite roll was the dancing shrimp roll. This is a pretty good spot to get some sushi. I do want to come back and try their hibachi. read more

This place has been my latest obsession. It has a small dine in option but I prefer getting it for take out. It's easy to call straight from the Yelp app and place to order. Then pay when you arrive. I always get the Create your Own Poke Bowl. Unlike a lot of local places, this place has a lot of yummy options that are unlimited for the bowl (also unlike other Poke places nearby) I order mine (see picture from this post) with brown rice, salmon, Yellowtail, eel sauce, sweet chili sauce, cream cheese, seaweed salad etc. My boyfriend loves the hibachi chicken with 2 yum yum sauce which super yummy! I got a new place! Decided to try this gem tonight. They have almost 40 Yelp Reviews and are maintaining 5-Star Review, so they were on my list of places to try. Then when on a neighborhood chat, one of my neighbors recommended them, I just had to go. Currently they are open, however not for dine-in. That is ok with me, as I am not ready to do that even if they were. Upon entering I was VERY impressed with their attention to safety. On the door, there is a reminder to wear your mask to enter. The counter is set up for social distancing as well. You order from about 8 feet back and insert your card there as well. Then, once you have placed your order, you go back outside to your car and they bring you your food. All of the employees were in masks and gloves. I ordered a three roll combo that was only 11.50! They do their steak medium, so make sure you request your desired preference. Our food was probably out within 10mins, if that and it was delivered to our table. What really made my dish pop was the eel sauce and the hibachi sauce they offer towards the back, which you have to put in small containers yourself in order to get. My co-worker ordered the R4 and wow. After tasting his, I realized that THAT is what I should've ordered. It was cooked to perfection, between the flavors and the texture. This is my first time trying this place and I'm so happy to find a roll I like! Im very picky with my sushi rolls (haven't gotten to love raw fish just yet) so I tend to order fried rolls. The crazy roll is the only fried roll they have, so I ordered it and loved it! I will definitely be coming back to get more from now on.
