This is a great option for sushi and thoroughly enjoyed the food and service at the restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant is great with interiors that remind you of the Orientals. They have indoor and outdoor seating and seating by the open kitchen as well. The edamame for appetizer is a must try along with some sake. The staff offer good recommendations and the sushi, sashimi we tried were really great. Parking around the area can be tricky, but there is plenty of roadside parking available. You just have to be lucky to find a spot. Pricing is moderate high. Will I return? For sure!

We went in Wednesday night and it was not busy. We were sat right away. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Reasonably priced.

I came here while attending a convention in Dallas. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodated my large group in the back of the restaurant. There was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. I ordered the DJ Roll, which had delicious spicy salmon and crunchy cucumber. It was beautifully decorated with lemon and masago. My friends also ordered rolls and sashimi, and everything tasted super fresh. I had such a great experience here, and the hostess even slipped our group a note afterward to compliment us. What a sweetheart!

Food service and Ambience was 10/10! We splurged on 2 cocktails (peppered whiskey smash , hibiscus tea cosmo), delicious sushi rolls, and shared the steak hibachi! We will be back.

Came here a week ago for the first time cause my brother has been coming here for a while and it was amazing. It's a hidden gem. We got a lot of food so that we could try a lot of the dishes. The shishito peppers were amazing. Lots of garlic and awesomeness. The pork dumplings were super flavorful. We also got the fried rice with chicken and very generous portion and super flavorful. They season everything really well. We got a few sushi rolls and the best one was the yellow tail. All were good but that yellow tail with soy sauce and wasabi was amazing. The guy that took care of us was friendly, attentive, and nice. He was training someone and she was also super friendly and nice. I am coming back to try more stuff. Come check them out. Very awesome and friendly establishment.

Saturday night catching up with a friend I hadn't seen since December her suggestion was 469 in Addison We met at 6pm , great casual restaurant with booths on the inside run of seating and plenty of outdoor seating also. Its important for me to say our server and the restaurant was extremely kind in allowing us to casually dine at our pace and catch up , we didn't part till nearly 3hr later We started with spicey edamame and I've never been a fan of these but the spicey twist on them made them far more satisfying then standard edamame ..NOW the pork gyoza was incrdible..we chose pan seared and the pork filling had a defined pork flavor with excellent fresh spice notes We next ordered 2 rolls, the big bayou roll and the Daikon roll. Both we great but the daikon roll exceeded my expectations - its a riceless roll that usually don't excite me but this one really gave you the opportunity to appreciate the fish and each piece of the roll had a huge portion of tuna Of course we hydrated away the 100degree temperature of North Texas with 2 bottles of filtered cold saki When searching for excellent sushi and a great casual environment visit sushi 469 and say hello to Faith - her service was superb

10 Piece Nigiri Assortment Yellowtail Roll Cucumber Salad

Fish was fresh but rice tasted days old and dried out. Really ruined the sushi. Cucumber salad had almost no dressing. Was literally just a cucumber I paid $8 for.

I've been to Michelin starred omakases (including tempura omakases) in Japan and New York, and this place honestly meets or comes extremely close to fitting the bill in terms of food and service. At the Michelin restaurants, you pay almost double the price for high quality ingredients, stellar service, ambiance, and a Japanese toilet :P For $100 pp for the tempura omakase at Takumi Hachi, you leave feeling full and satisfied, with a great selection of light and deliciously fried fritters. Each person gets a bowl of their divinely delicious tempura sauce with a generous amount of shaved daikon (not even lying when i say this is my favorite tempura sauce i've had, i could've just drank it on its own) and a selection of salts, with each course given a recommendation of which salt to use. In terms of ambiance: frankly speaking, if it was just the counter service omakase, i'd say it would feel more stuffy and unapproachable. But there is a general seating area that is not counter service where you can order off the menu for sushi, robata, and a la carte options. No dress code enforced or recommended, so you can be dining with all sorts of patrons with different sizes of families and children. whether or not this is your jam, it's still an extremely accessible place to dine for anyone and everyone. Reservations were incredibly easy to make (tempura omakase only From Sunday thru Thursday). Service was really kind and attentive, my husband's water literally never went below half empty. The only thing to take service to the next level is if they cleaned/wiped your plate/gave you a new plate between each course. American toilet. Lol. That's neither here nor there, but the bathroom is very clean lol! They were also sweet enough to read my reservation note for the occasion for dining and gifted us a delicious strawberry mousse, accompanied with a surprise tableside matcha to end the meal. I'm already looking forward to try their kaiseki set meal next time, and know that this place is a top contender to take my friends or loved ones for special occasions. I can't speak much for their sushi, but I added on some robata and grill menu items to the omakase and they were fantastic. Highly recommend the maitake mushroom tempura add on to your course. If you order ebi sushi, they offer to take the head once you're done eating the sushi and either put it in a miso soup or fry it for you, which i thought was a wonderful option. Also, we got tempura anago, something I've never had anywhere else, served two different ways. That alone was enough to make this experience stand out. For an experience like I had tonight, I felt as if the restaurant should be more full. Maybe because it is tucked away behind the other chain restaurants in Addison that are a little easier to see. Don't hesitate if you see the price tag, I definitely think you get a great value for food, service, and experience. We were there for two hours and enjoyed it very much. Thank goodness i don't have to drive all the way to downtown Dallas to enjoy some delicious Japanese food without the headache and hassle of finding parking and an accessible reservation.

It had spinach, which wasn't traditional, but I enjoyed it all the same.
