This place was amazing! First off the fusion idea was executed very well, and the ambience inside has a good mix of both fusion sides. The staff were super nice and friendly, and helped us with any questions we may have had. The best part of it all of course was the food the duck tacos were delicious and so were the birria xiao long bao. I also love that they give you wonton chips with 2 different sauces to start with. Can't wait to come back and try their other items.
Unique fusion place that was well executed!! The vibe is casual but nice, and staff were friendly! We got the duck tacos inspired by Peking duck, which was seasoned nicely. We also got the birria xiao long baos which were sooo good. They also give you fried wontons as a starter which I thought was fun. Definitely would be back to try more on their menu!
Loved this place! The Asian chips and salsa they welcome you with are so good. We ordered the birria eggrolls, elote dumplings and calamari. The calamari was by far our favorite. The eggrolls were good but lacked meat. And the elote dumplings were ok. They do have salsas they bring with the entree. I wish they brought these out from the start. It made the eggrolls and birria eggrolls so much better. We also had the birria fried rice and a Mongolian beef burrito. With the salsa it was so good!!!! We seriously loved everything about our time here. Only thing would be ... get the salsas from the beginning!
Food comes out hot and fresh. The chocolate xiao long bao tasted like Hershey kisses. It was surprisedly very addicting to eat. Great dessert option! Highly recommend trying the birria xiao long bao. The tacos wasn't that great but they really stuffed it with a lot of meat. The dumpling sampler was good but nothing special. Service was fast and efficient.
There are so many places that offer fusion Mexican and Chinese food in DFW, but I can guarantee that none of them come close to Dragon Casa. We showed up on a Sunday over Memorial Day weekend and were sat promptly. The space is SO well decorated and seamlessly blends both cultures. There were several people there but the overall volume was still comfortable. Our server was nice and prompt, and gave us a few recommendations when we asked. Let me tell you, the food did not disappoint. I got an Horchata to start and almost downed the whole thing at once! I also couldn't stop myself from having the wonton chips dipped in sweet and sour sauce or the green sauce. Both were delicious. Because everything on the menu looked good we went overboard with our orders. We started with the Birria egg rolls (yummy, though I think the consommé could've had a bolder flavor), then the elote dumplings which were easily one of my favorites. Just thinking about them makes me want them again! When the dumpling fiesta showed we realized we ordered too much, but we persevered. I got the walnut shrimp tacos on flour tortillas, ate them both, and even had a bite of the orange chicken tacos. The bbq brisket rolls were delicious, but we were so full at this point that it was a struggle to finish them. Lastly, we got the lava buns to go since we were too full to have anything else, but I can confirm that they were delicious when we ate them later that day. To top it off, their prices are incredibly reasonable. Highly recommend you give them a try!
THIS PLACE IS WORTH YOUR MONEY. The wait to be seated is a bit long but super worth the wait. Our lovely server was David and he was great. His attitude and recommendations were amazing. We had birria xio long baos and they were AMAZING!! THE HOLY GRAIL! The flavors were so beautiful mixed and textures were great! We ordered the stir fry combo noodles and they were so delicious and flavorful packed with so many different kinds of meats! They are not stingy with any of the ingredients also not too salty but salty enough for the perfect flavor. We got the combo dumpling entree and they all were super delicious even the vegetarian green one was delicious flavor and not too salty. We placed a side order to go of egg drop soup and again it was perfectly flavored and not too salty it was delicious. We placed an order of the orange chicken burrito and the flavors blended very well. It was only missing a crunchy factor or some grilled onions but overall delicious. Their chocolate Xio long baos were amazing and not overly sweet , perfect chocolate flavor. 1000/10 This place is phenomenal and truly one of a kind. The only "bad" thing I can say is their horchata needs a recipe update for there is no true rice to milk flavoring in the beverage , however again not too sweet but very creamy not more milk based than horchata flavoring. Their guayaba beverage was very spot on and was again not overly sweet and had the perfect sweetness ratio. Very refreshing. Thank you to the staff and the amazing food , we WILL be returning back all the way from forney , tx ! Blessed to have a one of a kind place in the dfw area!
Rating: 4 / 5 I was excited for this. I am from Hong Kong and Chinese is my kind of cuisine. I also love Mexican food. So it felt like best of both worlds for me. There were a few things I was disappointed, specifically the service (in the meantime, still want to give a shoutout to our server, Daniel!) I personally like the ambiance of the restaurant. The neon light signs are super cute! However, I found it very interesting that the backdrop was the Chinatown in Bangkok - not sure what the connection is there LOL. Now let's talk about food - I didn't take pictures for all the dishes we ordered - listing the dishes we ordered based on my ratings from best to worst: 1. Peking Duck Taco 2. Birria Fried Rice 3. Birria Noodle 4. Matcha Bun 5. Black Lava Bun 6. Wagyu Beef Dumplings 7. Birria XLB Friends ordered the Hong Kong-style har gow. I am not a fan of har gow so I didn't try. Best: Peking Duck Taco I personally am a huge fan of the Peking Duck taco. The traditional way of eating Peking Duck is wrapped with a thin piece of dough (if I describe this correctly). But the taco goes with the Peking Duck. The flavor of Peking Duck is there and I love it. 2nd Best: Birria Fried Rice I usually find birria too salty for my taste, but this saltiness blends well with the fried rice and it was flavorful. 3rd best: Birria Noodle Another surprise! The blend of birria, the broth and the ramen. The broth is a little salty for my taste but the overall taste was really good. 4th best: Matcha Bun A great dessert after all these dishes! A nice blend of matcha and the bun. Very creative way of using the matcha flavor! The other ones we ordered: - Birria XLB: it's really a meh for me. All of us (there were 5 of us) didn't even realize we were eating birria XLB until we started listing out the dishes we ordered. Also, may I ask - why were the spoons not provided? I had to awkwardly eat my XLB with the soup spilling all over the plate. I understand this restaurant is not catered to only Chinese people and many people may not know how to eat properly XLB, but still - please provide a spoon. - Wagyu Dumpling: another a-okay for me. i wouldn't say it's outstanding. - Black Lava Bun: not sure what happened with the texture of the custard. The flavor was there but it was very watery. I'll give a benefit of the doubt and say it was just a bad day for the custard. Here's my biggest complaint - the service. Again, Daniel (or was it Danny?) was great. It took forever for the finished / dirty dish to be cleaned up. I worked at a similar kind of restaurant before. I see there's a food runner and server. It's cool if the food runner was not cleaning up but I see the servers were walking around and not helping with cleaning up the dirty dishes. We had to ask several times to get the dishes out of the way since we ordered quite a bit. We were sitting by the kitchen and all I see was the manager looking straight ahead from the cashier (we sat on his left) and not even noticing our table needed some clean up. Then, we asked for a check not long after our dessert. It took a very long time to finally get our checks ready. Not sure what's the holdup. I don't see the restaurant being super understaffed. Overall review: I'll be honest - even though the birria has excellent flavors. The restaurant feels more Chinese than Mexican, not just by a little but a lot. I didn't get to try a lot of the Chinese dishes, but knowing they are wrapping dumplings on the spot and there's hand pulled noodles, I can imagine those dishes would be great. I don't see too much of the Mexican element in this fusion restaurant. I wouldn't give a strong yes that I'll come back but I'll consider in the future.

Overall solid place with a few standouts! Definitely not a huge fan of the fusion dishes, and think they were more of a miss Tried the walnut shrimp and Peking duck tacos. Didn't like the tortillas as they reminded me of Mission tortillas you buy in the grocery store. Peking duck tacos are a great concept, but putting Chinese food in a taco and calling it fusion is not really fusion in my opinion. Definitely skip the calamari, poorly fried and seasoning was meh. What you need to get here are the hand pulled noodles and dumpling options. The shu mai and xiao long bao were 10/10. I would come here just for those options. Xiao long bao I think I would argue best in Dallas. Reminded me of the XLB from Shanghai. Steamed dumplings were just ok. Dessert baos were not bad. Always fun to have chocolate XLB Service was standard. Decor is fun. Price is fair I think for who you get Definitely would come back!
Date night and this was a place we had been wanting to try and so glad we did!! Yall there calamari is hands down the best I have had! Whatever seasoning they use its perfect. Wontons in chili oil was also the best I have had! The spice hits more at the end Shrimp honey comb dumplings were amazing but they did come out late so we were already hitting that full button at least I was! Now there kung pao chicken was good but compared to the other options it was mid I already know what I want to try when I go back
Everything tasted so good. Service was great. I had also gotten the earl grey ice cream and it looked and tasted so good we forgot to take pictures before we ate it. Bao huns were soft with soft silky filling. The noodles were fresh and the Peking duck tacos were a great fusion. Their salsas (not pictured) for the duck tacos were delicious but beware because of the small pieces of chili peppers in the salsas it can get stuck in the squirt bottles they are served in. However the decor is interesting and a conversation piece, the food was delicious and the service was top notch. We drove an hour to try this place and it did not disappoint.
Tried Dragon Casa in Dallas and enjoyed it! I had a mango margarita that was super tasty and refreshing. For food, I ordered the stir-fried handmade noodles with chicken and a side of veggie egg rolls. Everything came out hot and flavorful, and the noodles had a great texture. I visited Dragon Casa with my family when I was home in Dallas last weekend. We arrived around 11 on Saturday, and were seated at a table right away! Dragon Casa serves "Chino-Mex fusion." Some dishes are Mexican, some Chinese, and many are a fusion of the two. With six of us, we were able to try a lot from their menu: BBQ Brisket Cheese Buns (soft buns filled with BBQ brisket and melted cheese); "Dumpling Fiesta" (crispy, deep-fried dumplings - wagyu, pork, chicken, seafood, and vegetable - lightly coated with their signature Chino-Mex taco seasoning); Peking duck tacos (Beijing-style duck with cucumber, scallion, and house Hoisin sauce topped with cilantro on corn or flour tortillas); Mongolian beef burrito (grilled burrito filled with fried rice, beans, onion, tomato, cilantro, and savory Mongolian beef); Birria Xiao Long Bao (juicy soup dumplings filled with slow-braised beef birria, pork, ginger, scallions, and rich birria broth); Birria egg rolls (slow-braised beef birria with carrots, glass noodles, cilantro, onion, celery, and napa cabbage); Birria fried rice (savory fried rice with birria beef, egg, cilantro, onion, peas, and carrots); Dumpling sampler (2 pieces each of pork, chicken, vegetable, and seafood dumplings - steamed or fried); and black lava buns (fluffy buns with a custard filling) for dessert. Everything was good - and each of us had different favorites - but I'd say my highlights were the BBQ Brisket Cheese Buns, Birria Xiao Long Bao, and Black Lava Buns! The low points for me were some of the sauces. The meal starts with fried wonton chips and dips (a play on chips and salsa), but one of the sauces had almost no flavor at all, and we asked for chili oil and hot sauce to enjoy the chips with instead. But in general, the food was interesting and fun and delicious. Aside from the food, our experience was great. The restaurant is such a fun environment - lots of neon signs - and the service was fantastic. We had a great family meal together. I'd be happy to return.
This place is going (slightly) viral so naturally we had to see what the fuss was all about. I want to say for all the IG attention, Dragon Casa is not bougey or pretentious at all. Really chill atmosphere and super friendly wait staff who walked us through the menu and the whole fusion experience. We went for the regular chicken egg rolls, not the birria ones, because wifey loves her a regular old egg roll, and if you do too you probably won't be disappointed with these. We always order the cucumber salad when we see it on a menu for its cold and refreshing palate cleansing in between bites. Theirs was pretty good at 6 bucks. It wasn't too remarkable but we weren't disappointed. The fiesta dumplings were certainly an experience. I loved the Wagyu, wifey loved the shrimp, we both didn't like the veggie dumpling (green). But it was still a fun ride. The Mongolian tacos were interesting because it tasted more like a carne asada taco rather than anything Asian. But it was still good. The best bite of food were the duck tacos! Anyone who comes here absolutely has to get these! We also got the Hot Chili Oil Noodles with Chicken. Supposedly everyone says these are a must order, but I don't see why. The noodle quality was definitely good, but I can't believe I'm about to say this, they were kind of bland, like they needed salt. With some table soy sauce added to the dish, it got really punched up. We will definitely come back and explore the menu some more. read more
Cool concept for sure and interesting/unique atmosphere. Service was ok- our server seemed like she might have been stretched a little thin, so I won't blame her. Food was good overall. I loved the Dan dan noodle soup we ordered but forgot to get a pic! I didn't know it was in soup form, I thought I was ordering a regular noodle dish but either way was still very tasty. I also liked that they bring out the wontons with the two dipping sauces similarly to how you'd be served chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. If I lived closer I'd go back regularly or order take out. read more

Date night and this was a place we had been wanting to try and so glad we did!! Yall there calamari is hands down the best I have had! Whatever seasoning they use its perfect. I absolutely loved this place! My favorite were the fried pork dumplings. These were filling and so full of flavor! I wish we ordered more. The birria noodles were exactly what we hoped for. The fusion between both worlds, was perfection! They close between 3PM-5PM, so plan accordingly. The place is a little on the smaller side, check in with the QR code when walking in, and the wait wasn't too bad. The wait staff was also very attentive. I had high hopes for this place and over all it was just okay, it definitely could have been better. I loved the decor of the restaurant and our server was extremely kind, but it was super busy when we arrived which might have been the problem. We ordered the spring rolls, calamari, hand pulled noodles, birria fried rice, Mongolian beef burrito and then honey walnut shrimp burrito. The food had the potential to be great but unfortunately the flavor was just mid. The items took a bit long to come out, and when we finally got our food my order was wrong and they forgot our appetizer. Thankfully, they were kind enough to fix my order and bring out our appetizer so we could take it to go. Out of everything we tried my super carnivores babe said the vegetable spring rolls were the best thing he ate (so take that however you'd like).... I will say the margarita was strong so that was nice ! 3.5 / Overall - room for improvement. First I'll start with the food. Shanghai Cucumber Salad - 3/5 Not super easy to ruin this, and while it wasn't ruined, it certainly was "meh", the cucumbers are swimming in juice and there isn't a lot of seasoning, didn't taste bad just not delicious or memorable. Wonton in Chilli Sauce - 3/5 Also underwhelming in the flavor department and the size of the dumplings is very mid to small. BBQ Brisket Buns - 3/5 These buns were well made enough with the texture of the bun itself. However, the inside of the buns was very dry and there was only brisket, they were not entirely bbq'd and not steaming hot. Usually moisture in buns makes them amazing, these were also not memorable. All of these opinions are based on the legacy of Dragon House's standard, this doesn't compare and it's not as great unfortunately. Ambiance - 5/5. The ambiance is very fitting and beautiful. No notes on that. I love it. Service - 3.5/5 - Refills were not provided, no one came to ask if the food tasted good and can we please have the host look more sharp? Dragon Casa is such a fun mix of Chinese and Mexican fusion, and somehow it totally works. The whole place gives off good vibes with colorful lights, upbeat music, and décor that feels part Chinatown and part fiesta. They even start you off with "chips and salsa," except it's crispy wonton chips with sweet and sour sauce. I laughed, then ate every last one. The menu has your classic Chinese dishes plus a section of "Mexican versions" like tacos, burritos, and quesadillas with Chinese flavors. I tried the Honey Walnut Shrimp Taco and the Dumpling Fiesta, and both were so creative and delicious. Sweet, crunchy, savory, and totally different in the best way. It's fun, flavorful, and unlike anything else around. I love the whole concept and can't wait to go back. read more

When my husband told me "I found a restaurant for us to try. It's a fusion of Chinese and Mexican!", I had my doubts. We had gone to one before and I didn't really enjoy it at all. But we went to give it a try. The interior is really cute with neon signs. The staff was so friendly and when they saw us eating everything, they genuinely looked so happy. We asked our waiter for recommendations and he gave us his opinions. The food ... We sat down and they gave us a bowl of fried wonton skins with 2 different sauces: Chinese Sweet and Sour and Mexican Cilantro. I have not had friend wonton skins for a long time. When the bowl looked almost empty they brought us another bowl all on the house. We wanted to try their Chino Mex portion of the menu and selected 3 dishes that popped out at us ... Juicy Juicy Birria Xiao Long Baos, huge and delicious Honey Walnut Shrimp with Pineapple Tacos, and the Birria Noodle Soup that was so good we ate and drank everything in the entire bowl. Second visit: Tuesday night. I tried to order online but it did not seem to be an bn option. Greatly disappointed because I wanted to eat at home without noticeably increasing coughs that are so common this part of the year. I hope it will be an option very soon for neighbors who want to order delicious food to-go. There was a 15 minute wait for a table even though there were a few tables available but I understand you don't want to overwhelm your waitstaff. I ordered Egg Drop Soup. I did not like it but it's a flavor preference. If I could order to-go, would order for my family. They love EDS. First time for me. The Birria Fried Egg Rice is 10/10. The Fajita buns(?) were ok at the restaurant but I reheated in air fryer and now, perfection. I really like Dragon Casa. If they get ToGo orders going, I'll be back. read more

I finally had a chance to try out Dragon Casa. I was not disappointed! I ordered the Egg Drop Soup (one size) and it was delicious and plentiful. I had the Black Walnut Shrimp Burrito which was flavorful and, once again, plentiful. Half of it went home with me. I was given a dessert which was very tasty. It was a chocolate shell with a warm custard filling. Very good and a perfect way to finish the meal. The staff is very attentive and I thought the restaurant itself is quite nice.
