We ordered Chutoro (really good, melt in your mouth), Seared Salmon (tasty, just enough rice), Salmon roll (it was bigger than I had expected), Tuna roll, Eel Roll (not what I had expected, it wrapped in a pink wrap, it was ok), shrimp tempura (the coating didn't taste like it was a tempura batter, more like a flour batter), Bento Box -beef(the beef was salty but tasty, needed rice for sure) and our final dish was the Bento box - Sushi & Sashimi (the vegetable that came with the bento box had no taste and not fried all the way, the bottom was soggy)! Funny story - when my husband and I went on our first date, I told him I will eat anywhere except for sushi. He didn't listen to me, and that night I had sushi for the first time. It's now my favorite food! We found C Rolls about 20 years ago, and we still love it! Ohhhh so my daughter and I were in town for my son's graduation. We all met my friend I haven't seen in almost 20 years she suggested the place and we couldn't be more happy with it. The octopus was amazing! perfect texture and perfect flavor, well brought out by hints of lime juice from the thin slices of lime between the slices. It was, without a doubt, the best octopus I've ever had, sashimi or otherwise. If you're a fan of octopus, this is a must try. The salmon was also excellent. Very fresh. I don't mind casual places, but today's experience was odd. The server was new and very friendly but I think he was afraid of getting in trouble with the owner so our experience wasn't great. What happened? There was a vegetarian salad roll that was described on the menu without all the ingredients represented. It tasted bad, with a sweet pickled pinkish item included within the roll. I don't eat sugar and I sent it back after eating only one circular section of the 6. No worries. I ordered some replacements...but then they wouldn't take the original bad roll off the bill, despite how bad it was. The avocado rolls were ok but not cold. The asparagus rolls were good. We just had a not so pleasant conversation with a waiter named Chris regarding Sashimi bento box. I am severely allergic to shell fish and always ask to replace the shrimp with alternate fish. But she won't do it and according to her shrimp is the cheapest fish and that replacement with costs more money. My first concern is, where are the buying their shrimp from ? Good quality Shrimp is never cheap and definitely not cheaper then farm raised salmon which is what they serve. And then we have dined out their several times and never had this problem before. The food is excellent, the prices are right and I love how casual the setting is without feeling like you're in a fast food spot haha. I always get the chicken boy roll, which is what I'd suggest for any one who doesn't necessarily love sushi even though I do. But it's my favorite roll! I also love their tuna tower, the preston roll, volcano roll.. there are so many to choose from and they can alter it to however you like! If you wanna get crazy, their chicken fried rice is the bomb. The food is always consistent and the staff is always very attentive and friendly.
