Sarku is top notch when it comes to the food court at the mall. Everything is exceedingly delicious and the food comes out fast. It's all freshly made in front of your eyeballs and the aroma is mouth watering. Safe to say they is one of my favorite Japanese fast food places. Give it a try. It's at the mall so you can expect there to be lots of people around and can be somewhat lively but the wait is not too long. The service people have always been nice.

Sarku Japan is a great dining option at the NorthPark Mall. In comparison to the others(food court), I believe they provide higher-quality meals at a faster rate, and they are quite consistent. To my surprise, every time I've gone, I've had pretty decent Japanese food, despite the fact that their menu is quite small. I believe that having a limited number of options and honing them down to get them right every time is what makes a great restaurant, and that their menu being small may also allow them to serve the food faster. Regardless, my favorite item from them is their bento box, which comes with a salad, dumplings, and your choice of protein with either fried or steamed rice, and I usually get the shrimp with fried rice. Which, to be honest, the fried rice with shrimp is fantastic and delicious; it's a dish that's difficult to go wrong with. What I also like is that they have a hot sauce if you want to make it a little more spicy, which is nice. You also get soy sauce to go with the dumplings and sushi, which makes them a lot more tasty. You also get a dipping sauce, which I recommend to be used with the dumplings in case you don't like soy sauce, or you can add it to rice and shrimp if you don't want to go with the spicier choice. Overall, there's so much to enjoy, which is why I'm such a fan of their bento boxes. Although, a lime and salt for the salad, on the other hand, is something I'd want to see. Nonetheless, as previously stated, the overall experience has always been pleasant and there has never been anything to complain about; they have always been my go-to spot when other lines are long or when I simply want a decent choice of flavors for lunch. The food has a pleasant flavor to it; it isn't the best, but I appreciate how consistent they are with it and nearly never mess up any orders. As a result, I rate this venue four stars and strongly advise everyone to give it a try at least once to see whether they like it.

Mall munchies. They have a clear menu and good prices for the portions you receive. I got their chicken bento which comes with side salad, 4 pieces of California roll sushi, 3 gyoza dumplings, fried or steamed rice, and of course the chicken. 3 stars because although the food was fast and hot, it wasn't very flavorful.

My favorite dish, rice with teriyaki chicken, shrimp and veggies. Haven't been here while. Fresh and Tasty food, plenty portion, shrimp tempura rolls also very tasty (or i guess i was hungry) Saturday evening, waiting line is huge, but a same time ordering food is fast.

This particular Sarku Japan is not as delicious as the one back home, but it is still pretty good. I don't think they put enough of the teriyaki sauce, so the flavor doesn't pop like it usually should. However, the food was fast, hot, and clean, so that is a win! As per usual I love the vegetables. Cooked enough to be the perfect balance of soft and crispy, yet still cold enough to be a refreshing difference from the hot noodles. The cashier was patient with me as well as I picked my food. Overall it was an alright experience.

The food is average, but comes at a good price. Very filling for less than $10. If you're skeptical, just walk up and get a sample before you buy!

Their teriyaki chicken tastes soooo good. The sauce is amazing. The veggies were amazing. The fried rice was amazing. A million times better tasting than Panda Express. Portions are huge & can be split between 2 people. Highly recommend!

She got the chicken rice and I got a salad from other vendor. And then split between us. Tasty. You get lots of food but hungry so no leftovers. Next time we need to try the bento box.

Solid Japanese food that exceeded my expectations. Our chicken / beef teriyaki meals were quick, tasty, and in all likelihood a step above the Panda Express the next stall over. If you're in NorthPark and want a hot meal, boom, here you go.

Hands down the best place to eat at NorthPark Mall. The hot sauce is amazing and I always get double chicken. Love this place.

The inside is tiny and there isn't even a proper "waiting" area. I've also tried coming here before, and there was also a long wait. I'm glad I decided to stick it out this time. We ordered the Wagyu sushi, Yakitori, Tonkotsu Miso Ramen, and the Tomato Ramen. The Wagyu sushi is torched right in front of you! The Wagyu was incredibly tender and the sauce was delicious. My only *nitpicky* critique is the rice was ever so slightly too moist, but that didn't stop me from inhaling the sushi. Next, the Yakitori was phenomenal. I've never had such tender chicken in my life. There was a nice layer of delicious sauce coating the skewer. Again, just a really nitpicky feedback I have was that I wish the Yakitori had the tiniest bit more char to it, but nevertheless was an incredible bite, and I'd 100% order again in a heartbeat. Onto the ramen - easily hands down one of the best ramen I've had in DFW. The broth is flavorful, and I love the noodles. I'm not sure if they're handmade from scratch, but they had the perfect thickness and chewiness. I also loved generous the portion of cha shu slices. Most other places only give you 1-2 thin slices, but that was not the case here. The pork was tender. The ajitama was solid too, although I prefer more of a soft-boiled egg. While the meat portion is more generous here, the tonkotsu didn't come with many vegetables. A lot of other ramen places I've been to will have corn, fried garlic, etc as default, but those are all additional cost add-ons here. The ramen was delicious without them though but just something to note. We also got the tomato ramen as it's the chef recommendation. The dish is very creative and the execution was great. Personally, I still prefer traditional ramens but it was certainly a nice culinary creation to try. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and would come here again. Just be aware there may be a wait, and because they're so busy, you do have to proactively flag down staff. However, the staff are still really nice despite all the tasks they're juggling at once.

We got spicy gyoza to start, black pork tonkatsu w/ small curry rice bowl and a spicy dan dan. Gyoza came smothered in their sweet garlic chilli which defeats the purpose of a crispy gyoza skirt. It might be better to retain the crisp and crunch of the gyoza skin with the chilli sauce on the side? On to the ramen -- if you want to know if you're getting a quality bowl, look no further than the preparation of the egg. No respectable ramen shop would serve you well done boiled eggs which was the case here. The tonkatsu had heavy garlic flavor which is good but was unfortunately overshadowed by the abundance of burnt garlic bits. Not much to say about the Dan Dan. Bathroom clean but had a strong smelled. Would not go out of my way nor return with the amount of noodle options in dfw.

I appreciate that before pouring my wine, the one bartender put in a lot of effort to buffing my glass. I ordered a plum wine to start, which is always delicious and sweet. We were seated a little earlier than 20 minutes, but unfortunately weren't greeted for a bit following that. They were super busy though. Our waiter was very nice and knowledgeable, and we stuck with splitting apps versus getting ramen. We ordered the shishito peppers, karaage, takoyaki, and edamame. To drink, we ordered and split the hot sake. The first plates came out pretty quickly, and were hot and delicious. Our hot sake took a while to be delivered, and we had to ask our waiter to double check it was still on the way. Then when it arrived, we had to fight off a bunch of gnats that kept landing on the bottle. I guess they wanted to party, too! The shishito peppers were definitely my favorite. They were perfectly coated in sauce and flavoring. The karaage was tender and tastes especially good when paired with the watermelon. takoyaki was served hot and it's a blast watching the Bonita flakes dance on the balls. The edamame, while good, needed to be stirred up because the salt distribution was heavy on certain pieces. We wished we could order dessert, but felt a bit rushed by the server. It was a little before 10pm, so we understand they're off at 11pm, but as a former server there's definitely better ways to keep up with the closing process that feels less intrusive to the patrons. Overall, we had a blast at Wabi house and the food was great. Maybe we went on an off night for service, but overall will definitely be back again!!

At the Michelin restaurants, you pay almost double the price for high quality ingredients, stellar service, ambiance, and a Japanese toilet :P For $100 pp for the tempura omakase at Takumi Hachi, you leave feeling full and satisfied, with a great selection of light and deliciously fried fritters. Each person gets a bowl of their divinely delicious tempura sauce with a generous amount of shaved daikon (not even lying when i say this is my favorite tempura sauce i've had, i could've just drank it on its own) and a selection of salts, with each course given a recommendation of which salt to use. In terms of ambiance: frankly speaking, if it was just the counter service omakase, i'd say it would feel more stuffy and unapproachable. But there is a general seating area that is not counter service where you can order off the menu for sushi, robata, and a la carte options. No dress code enforced or recommended, so you can be dining with all sorts of patrons with different sizes of families and children. whether or not this is your jam, it's still an extremely accessible place to dine for anyone and everyone. Reservations were incredibly easy to make (tempura omakase only From Sunday thru Thursday). Service was really kind and attentive, my husband's water literally never went below half empty. The only thing to take service to the next level is if they cleaned/wiped your plate/gave you a new plate between each course. American toilet. Lol. That's neither here nor there, but the bathroom is very clean lol! They were also sweet enough to read my reservation note for the occasion for dining and gifted us a delicious strawberry mousse, accompanied with a surprise tableside matcha to end the meal. I'm already looking forward to try their kaiseki set meal next time, and know that this place is a top contender to take my friends or loved ones for special occasions. I can't speak much for their sushi, but I added on some robata and grill menu items to the omakase and they were fantastic. Highly recommend the maitake mushroom tempura add on to your course. If you order ebi sushi, they offer to take the head once you're done eating the sushi and either put it in a miso soup or fry it for you, which i thought was a wonderful option. Also, we got tempura anago, something I've never had anywhere else, served two different ways. That alone was enough to make this experience stand out. For an experience like I had tonight, I felt as if the restaurant should be more full. Maybe because it is tucked away behind the other chain restaurants in Addison that are a little easier to see. Don't hesitate if you see the price tag, I definitely think you get a great value for food, service, and experience. We were there for two hours and enjoyed it very much. Thank goodness i don't have to drive all the way to downtown Dallas to enjoy some delicious Japanese food without the headache and hassle of finding parking and an accessible reservation.

First omakase experience was great! Tucked away behind Brentwood but so glad to have gone for my…read morefirst time. It's a larger inside space with plenty of booths, tables, and bar seating. The left side/entrance area does have a bleach/cleaner type smell but I didn't notice it further into the restaurant. We did the Kaiseki Omakase. Staff is super friendly and explained every step of the experience. Like all courses meals - smaller portions but overall left super full. The clay pot was actually a huge portion as both of us ended up getting two bowls worth. Pacing of the meal was solid, kept it moving but didn't feel rushed at all. We were celebrating a birthday and they gave us a sweet treat as well at the end which was so appreciated! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion
