Called ahead to schedule a brake flush. Was quoted a price and I asked if they could do it this afternoon. Advisor over the phone said they could. I even asked if there was an ideal timeframe. "The sooner the better" was the response. I got ready and drove down up there, arriving about 30 minutes later and they said they were too busy and wanted me to schedule an appointment. I told them I was told to come straight down, and they said they didn't know who told me that. After a brief exchange, I reminded them what their store's phone number was and verified that I had called at 2:47 PM. Every Time I come with an appointment they never touch my car until 30-50 minutes later. I had my car checked and they said I needed my engine mounted and my serpentine belt replaced. Took it somewhere else. Turns out my serpentine belt didn't need to be replaced. When the other location had it repaired it ran smoother than ever before!!! Rates here seem higher than other places. They quoted me almost $1000. Meanwhile the other location was so happy to do it at $500. I feel as if this place is dishonest, so I will probably not be coming here again. I had all 4 tires replaced here. Makes me wonder if I even needed it... Their WIFI never works and you get poor cell service in this building... GOOD LUCK WAITING! read more

I have had 2 tires flattened in the past week (probably because I bought them cheap from a 3rd party and they wouldn't stand up to the AZ heat) & on both occasions, I had my insurance company tow me to this place. First instance was on a Saturday and despite being busy, they had my spare on in less than 30 minutes, free of charge, just paid a small labor fee. Second time was this past Sunday (day before Memorial Day). I brought it in with another rear flat & noticing that my other rear was showing lots of wear, asked for both to be replaced. Evelyn, the manager, called me a couple hours later (they were SWAMPED so I wasn't surprised!) & mentioned my 3rd tire was at a dangerous level also & didn't feel comfortable not replacing it. She worked with me on price and was able to get me 4 brand new tires for a price I could afford and I still have a practically brand new, full sized spare just in case. Evelyn was professional and very communicative with everything they were doing & I am so pleased with the level of service I received! I always come to this location for my oil changed & general maintenance. One thing that is nice is that they don't try to up sell you. They do a courtesy check & tell you what you need done to your car that needs immediate attention or eventually needs attention. Scott & Kyle usually check my car in & they are very nice guys. They take their time & are very polite. They even apply the coupons without me even asking for it! Employees seem too busy and distracted, customers are standing around, waiting for help, and an oil change takes 5 hours, and it is seriously overpriced! I think we need to be careful here. I know they are in the business of making money but I'm not sure how things work I'm not a mechanic. My mom took my car and paid for an inspection not the free one. They listed struts as needing replacement but I just had that done. So maybe there is damage caused from before I did that which caused them to come to that conclusion but my mom almost paid them to do that for no reason. Alignment didn't seem to last long. I noticed a hissing noise from my air conditioner and it was blowing hot so I thought I had a leak and tried to go in to have it looked at, I told them I was pretty sure I had a leak. They looked at it gave me a call and said there was no leak I just needed a recharge. They told me it would be $280. I picked it up and had cold A/C for the night but the next morning it was hissing again and back to hot. I took it back to have them look at it again and hopefully fix it right. I was then given a call and told I had a leak at the seal and that just the seal couldn't be replaced. Wanted me to replace that whole part and another part that may have been damaged for another $1,600. I began to ask about my payment from the day before and I was quickly told they couldn't give me a refund or credit. Yes I should've asked for a manager here but at this point I was sick to my stomach that nothing was even tried to be done to right the situation and that's when I just took back my keys and left. The first time I've ever stopped into a tire place to ask for help with tire pressure and was told NO.

We recently purchased 4 new tires from this location and we will not be going back and suggest the same for anyone looking for tires. When we picked up the car it pulled super hard to one side, so bad that it could have caused an accident. We called and asked if it was the alignment and they said no your alignment is perfect, bring it back and we brought it back in, they apparently fixed it and again we picked it up, still pulling!!! It wasn't as severe as the first time, but still a significant pull. We called a third time and the female manager gave me such an attitude about fixing it again, saying there was no time on the schedule which literally made my jaw drop. After a lot of back and forth she finally asked me if I could drop off the car and keys overnight. I said sure I'll be right there. I immediately show up, ask for the female manager I spoke to, and again she gave me such attitude that other customers were feeling uncomfortable, as was I. Picked up the car the next day and it's still pulling!! We gave up. We brought the car in elsewhere and they fixed it. Cannot deal with Firestone. Unfortunate since we've been bringing all 5 cars in for years and we have lifetime alignments on all of our cars with them. Such a shame. read more

I wrote a review last year, realized it had been deleted. Soooo it is important that people know this place is horrible, man. My car was breaking down, coughing and could barely go any faster than 5 mph. This firestone was a half mile from where I was so I decided to drive there. I asked a mechanic if he could just electrically check my engine (I knew that it was the time chains but needed to be confirmed). A guy was like let me check what's wrong. He got in my car and said it was fine (silly boy, my RPM meter was going crazy and engine was grinding). Then he did not PARK MY CAR BEFORE GETTING OUT. My car rolled back & nearly hit another building, I had to run & jump back in my car to stop it. That mechanic looked at me like I was crazy. Then he proceed to say I had to pay $100 for them to check "deeper". I told him no, electrical diagnosis should be free. Another mechanic came & tempted to tell me it was the fuel pumps regardless the fact that my car was still running. (Usually if fuel pumps are out, the engine will shut down because it can't get the gas flowing anymore). Y'all, do yourself a favor. Do not come here for any car repairs. There are other smart, honest auto shops who will diagnosis your car for free and give you a reasonable price on car repairs. read more

I made an appointment online with a note that i need a price estimate. Since nobody contacted me back (despite appointment being confirmed), i called and asked about it. My requested service of oil and filter change, tire rotation and full inspection came to 101.23 (with no need of separate tire rotation as it is included in the full inspection service). Sounded great that they are not trying to upsell me. So i left my "high mileage" 2013 Toyota Avalon with 35k there. 2 hours later I am offered all kinds of 199.99, 109.99, 49.99 things! One of the things that caught me eye was that they noted how air cabin filter is dirty. During the phone call and later in the shop again. It is interesting that they knew about it since they had no access to the glove compartment as I did not provide that key. When i refused to do any of the unnecessary things, half hour later i got another call that my car is ready. Since i realized that i left my wallet in the car, i was anxious to get inside it with the extra key only to find out that the car is not on the parking lot. Humm, where is it? So i walked in and explained the situation and apparently the technician "had to reset the maintenance warning light". Except that there was no "maintenance light". So i waited for about 5-10 minutes and decided to walk to the car to inspect what seems to be the problem. As soon as i started approaching it, another technician yelled something about the Avalon and sure enough, the Avalon was quickly out of the bay. When i got into the car, my aftermarket HUD display that i left inside the armrest was on the passenger seat! Paper floor mats were left in there too. So obviously they were playing with it (yeah, it's pretty cool) while they let me wait and had to wrap it up in rush when i approached. How long would they be playing with it if i stayed inside? Come on. But at least my wallet was intact so that's good. While i was waiting, there is a sign on the wall how they accept used oil for recycling free of charge however I was charged 2.99 for exactly that. If I can't trust with small things like this, how do you expect me to trust you with my car? A car wash is something that is pretty standard these days, but not here. One would think for a $100 worth of oil change and tire rotation, one would at least get that. Even though i requested synthetic oil (which is standard anyway), my sticker says my next oil change is 40k. Nope, Firestone, it is 45k. You sticker is gone out of my car since you won't see me again. There is a minor scratch on the left rear door that seemed fresh that i noticed only after, but this is probably unrelated to my Firestone visit. At least i hope!! All in all, while there does not seem much honesty left in the car business, this one is definitely not a good place to go. I wouldn't trust them. I am glad that i took my car in for something simple as an oil change. AVOID! EDIT: I have no interest in pursuing any actions as Firestone lost me as a customer already. This review is meant for other people who are looking for an honest car shop. Given the fact that you are still requesting additional info and to contact you again while you have all my personal info in your system it seems that you are not interested in pursuing this either. read more

Took my car in for a routine oil change and was told that the front right and left Axel shafts were leaking. The cost for labor and parts would total $1,308.87 but if I would replace both sides at the same time they would cut the price to $675.98. I took my car to a reputable mechanic who told me, there was nothing wrong with my car!!! Funny, the previous oil change was done at Meineke, they also told me my car was in great condition... This is possibly more common than I care to believe! They had a picture in there waiting area that spoke of their business integrity. I feel sad for the people who trust Firestone, there were a lot of elderly people having there cars worked on that day. I am female not to be confused with lacking car knowledge. I usually do oil changes on my own car. Decided to give the auto care store nearby a shot. I figured they could handle a simple oil change because I didn't have time to do it myself at the moment. The next day as I'm driving down the freeway to work I hear my dust cover scraping on the floor on the freeway. I pull over and put it back correctly on the side of the highway. I then brought it in to let them know about the issue. The manager minimized the damage on my car saying there was barely any damage. I told him it wasn't like that before and he needed to replace it he wrote down my number and said he would order the part and fix it. Never received a call never heard back I didn't bother because it's a $30 dust plate. Fast forward a couple months later I'm going to change my oil. I jack my car up to find they lost one of the screws for my oil pan and used some janky loose bolt they found to secure my oil pan. I get the oil pan off to find out they IMPACTED my OIL PLUG to my vehicle. I repeat they took their impact to my oil plug a bolt that is supposed to be hand tightened so you can take it off easily to drain your oil. I couldn't change my oil now I have to go buy extra tools to get my oil plug off and jack my car up again. Huge inconvenience no help from the management at Firestone. Awful service awful management and guys who don't know what their doing under a car. I blame it on the terrible management failing to teach their employees how to do the work right. These guys can't even handle a simple oil change. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

After moving to Arizona from New York my air conditioning unit broke. I went to this firestone location by recommendation and I am glad I did. This firestone location could not have been more professional and friendly. They even explained all the repairs in a way me and my mother could understand. They also had all the repairs done in one day so no need for a rental car! Aldo A, Robert and Jarrod were probably the nicest people I have ever met at a auto repair shop. Aldo A especially took care of us, I will be returning for any future car issues because of his great attitude and patience. I literally never write reviews but I'm so mad about this.. I went in a couple weeks ago to get my A/C fixed. They poured in a bunch of freon and said they charged it. I left and nothing was fixed. I thought maybe my car just needed to warm up before the a/c worked, nope nothing, so I take it back and they tell me that my a/c compressor is falling apart. Well I got that fixed about 4 months ago and had a warranty, so I took it back the place in Mesa that fixed my compressor. He looked at it and told me their was holes in the front part of my car (I believe the radiator) and the freon he put in literally and very obviously poured out the front immediately in front of him and he couldn't imagine how anyone could miss that. Firestone literally does whatever it takes to try and get the most money out of you. I will never go back there and if you want an honest and trust worthy mechanic go to Valley Auto LCC in mesa. He got the job done for less then Firestone quoted me with a year warranty included. Also the fact that firestone told me something was literally falling apart when I just got it fixed and was brand new.. Makes me realize they either dont know what they're doing, or they're trying to scam people out of all of thier money. Biggest waste of money and time in my life. read more

Zero stars. I've had several mechanics tell me that the tire they refused to patch was the PERFECT tire repair to patch. Beware to other customers, that's all I can say. True to form, they'll ask you for "more info" so it seems as if they are truly looking into your concern, but this is not the case. Given the fact that they request additional info and ask you to contact them again when they already have all of your personal info in their system proves they are not interested in truly resolving issues. WARNING -- they take no responsibility for their work. We had taken several vehicles for oil changes to Firestone and things went all right the first few times. The last time, however, they did something wrong -- likely not the full amount of oil. The following day, the engine starts burning oil on startup. Attempts to deal with them, asking if they might like to look at this, were met with, "well, you'll have to hire an attorney". We sued them in small claims court and after some delay on their part, they lost in a big way. The judge actually wanted to give us more than you can get in small claims. Absolutely the worst service I have ever seen. Avoid at all costs. read more

Do not waste your money on this place... Bad experience ... I went to get my tires balanced and rotated and they couldn't get that right.... How hard is that?? I took my car to Toyota in Tempe and had them check out the car since it was still shaking and pulling.... They said it was out of balance and minor alignment and correct the issues for $40. Firestone charged $160 and could not get it correct... If they cant get a minor balance and alignment correct i could imagine how bad they would be at fixing real repairs... Went to this shop recently and had them check a smell that I thought was coming from my car. Well, they gave me an estimate of about $750 to replace my valve cover gaskets. I didn't have them do the job and paid the $20 for the inspection. After driving away I realized the tech took my glove compartment out to check the air filter, but then he never put it back, which upset me. I ended up driving back later and they immediately put it back in. I ended up going to Highland Auto in Chandler (they are the best!!!) and they did the job for only $376!! read more

Set up an appointment to have tire looked at and they started working on it when I specifically asked they tell me how much it'll cost and if they have the right tire before they do that. Asked if they could give me a deal if I got got the oil changed as well and did not get one. Paid $65 for an oil change when every other place charges $35-40. Will never use again. read more

Every single time I come to this place I wish I was at the dentist. I guess they don't really know what an "appointment" means. Why offer appointments when you won't touch the car for another 60-70 minutes after the set appointment time. Do you have clocks? Do you know how to tell time? They took four cars before mine when they got to Firestone after I did. I don't care what your dumb excuses are for that Firestone, if someone has an appointment for a set time you make sure that you reserve a spot for that car. This isn't a fantasy land with no sense of time. The procedure I needed done only takes ten minutes. 90 minutes of wait time for ten minutes of work. You are all replaceable. Thousands of these places just like you in this city that know how to tell time, not asking for much. read more

For the past 4 years I went to this Firestone for oil changes and had a good experience with service and price. The constant upselling on "service packages" didn't bother me since thats what I expect from a National Chain. But then I got my front axle replaced by this store and thats when the issues began. The car broke down 2 days after getting the axle replaced. Found out that the Firestone mechanics took a few shortcuts and 1. Put in the axle incorrectly 2. Put in a broken screw so that it was only connected by one thread. Went back and got the axle replaced and thought everything was fine. - At this point the store had moved down the street- A little later I went to a different mechanic because of a rattling sound, and I find out that the axle was again replaced incorrectly. The new mechanic contacts this Firestone and surprise, Firestone wrote down the wrong part number (which happened alot apparently) and thus I can't get the Dealership warranty for the part (which was brand new). To sum it up: Firestone prices for oil changes are great, but I won't trust (at least) this store again for more complicated car service. read more

Worst customer service ever. Avoid this location at all cost. Damaged my wheel lugs during a tire install and sent me home missing a lug . I have been back twice to have it fixed, and before the shop counter boy looked to see how long it would take asked me if I was dropping the vehicle. They do not care about anyone's time. They would rather get to the work at their convenience than try to make a mistake right. I would rather pay someone who appreciates my business thank have them do any work for me again. read more

I'm a long standing customer from IL, but hadn't visited a Firestone in AZ. My visit was exceptional. Excellent customer service from John and his staff. My questions were thoroughly addressed and I received complete quotes prior to service.. with no hidden fees surfacing later. Proposed discounts honored. Service was speedy with minimal wait time-- far less than estimated. I especially liked that John would walk to the waiting area to address any concerns rather than yelling out to customers --the latter quite common at many mechanic locations. Final note, while I did not find paper mats, I also did not find oil handprints. ;) read more

Always been a fan or Firestone even got there credit card just to have it incase of big fixes. Loved how they worked with me all the years Ive gone to them. Yea, there a little pricy when it comes to making big repairs, but I didint mind because I told myself yea its expensive but they do it the right way. September 1st (labor Day) got a oil change just because I was in the area. Simple oil change and was on my way. i would say a week after that i tried popping up my hood and it wouldnt come up, tried multiple times and no budge. Not until yesterday I hit a speed bump and the hood popped open. Got out my car to open my hood finally and the latch seemed to be broken or stuck. Note that i never had this issue ever. Went down to firestone and explained what happpend. They empathized and checked my vehicle right away. What they came up with was the shocker. They told me that they wernt going to do anything because it seemed it had body work done to it. The service maneger continued to tell me that I would have to go to a body work shop to fix the latch on the car. I advised him that I never had a problem opening my hood until I came for that oil change. Im a honest straight foward kind of guy and if someone dont show the same to me especially firestone i have no business there. I have been a Firestone customer for 10 years in Rancho Bernardo CA and never been dissatisfied or been let down by the friendly caring staff. This Firestone has no customer service. I have been here twice and the first time I told them I needed a new battery and they said it was fine in their inspection. The battery was a 2011 - It wasn't fine as it had been diagnosed and tested before I arrived. I told them to actually inspect it and then they caught it!? Today I didn't bring my 25% off coupon in and called back only to be told they "didn't think they could honor it". They didn't even bother to check. Took my avalanche 1500 z71 4x4 in to these guys for a simple alignment issue. I explained I was having a camber bolt that wasn't holding so they threw it in the air and did a quick inspections. Well they tell me I have a bigger problem, the lower control arm bolt is about to fall out on the passenger side. Quite literally holding on with its last threads. With a little wrenching and a hammer they got the bolt lined back up and back threw and put a locking nut on it. After that they installed the new camber bolt on the driver side gave me a lifetime alignment and out the door for a reasonable price. Solid work, solid dudes. Well recommended. read more
