This is what you expect from a good service facility. The guys are polite, helpful, and don't try to over sell anything. They will offer you the typical items (safety checks, lifetime services, etc ) Just expect it as part of their job. I service 3 vehicles at this facility and have not had any problems with their individual service or the repair quality. As a result, I also service my vehicles at Firestone in San Diego, CA (who do an equally good job). Pricing is better than the dealerships. Nothing is cheap when in comes to cars (tires, brakes, batteries, etc.). This is about as good as you'll get from a national chain with proper warranties. My last service writer was Israel who did a great job (Thank you Israel!). Overall, give them a shot to earn your continued business. They will do well by you based on my experience. This is my second trip here. First time was for oil change and tire rotation on a Saturday afternoon. I waited 2 1\2 hours but got the oil change for free since I waited so long. Today I bought tires on a Friday afternoon. Both times there was no push to sell me anything extra and all of the front office people are knowledgeable and very nice. Kyle and Zach made my experience a wonderful one. I had a tire go flat on me and I got over there and told them to take a look at it and see if we could repair it or if we needed to replace it and after a thorough inspection of my tires we also found a nail in the driver's front tire. Kyle went over the different specials/sales they had available and I selected to put four new tires on my car and just for good measure since I was there I also got my oil changed. Awful, I have not been in this place since they moved into the new facility. Customer service is terrible. They once rolled down my window after I had asked them not to or the window would get stuck. They decided to roll down my window anyway and guess what happened...it got stuck! The mechanics pretended to not notice me pulling my window until I approached them and asked why? When I asked them to fix my window, they informed me that i would have to pay for them to fix the window, even though they did what I asked them not to do. I also had my motor mounts fixed at this place when a screw had popped out of the motor mount they had repaired in less than two months. They refused to replace the screw even though they were at fault again. There is more, but i am tired of typing. This place is horrible, too bad I can not give them a half a star. read more

Great service! Had a flat tire and called in. Mark at the Tempe location was so helpful and efficient on the phone. He got me in that day and received all new tires by the end of the day. Great staff and friendly service! Even though the staff was busy, everyone received great service and welcoming conversation while waiting. The people who work here have become terrible. I have been coming here for years, but the last few times i found the following. I always check under the hood to make sure everything is ok. Once i found they didn't fill the oil, it wasn't full. The last visit all the fluids were full. But the brake fluid cap wasn't put back on, it was just sitting next to the brake fluid area not screwed on. Also they told me i needed new air filters , which is funny since i just replaced them myself a few weeks before. I wont be coming back to this Firestone again read more

I have the lifetime alignment for my truck through Firestone. Every other time I bring it in, they don't do anything. I drive off with the same issue, this time I brought it in because it pulls to the right. Same issue. They said it had to be another issue. I have all new tie rod ends and ball joints. They then said it has to an issue with the tires. I have brand new tires. They prefer to come up with excuses then to admit their guys don't do a proper alignment. I even marked my tie rods with a paint pen and nothing was moved. They didn't do the work. read more

I have always had the best experience at this specific location. I definitely recommend it to women, they have always been very nice and explained things that are going on with my car. The recommended repairs were things I was already aware of, so I know they are being honest. I have taken my car there for about three years, I took it to another place once in between and have regretted it. They give a timeframe on when the car will be fixed and it has always been met, except for one time and they waived the oil change cost for me. So it was worth the wait. Don't bother making an appointment I had an appointment, scheduled days inadvance, but it took an hour before my car was touched. Why schedule an appointment and have me wait so long? Then try and over charge me and when I showed them the print out, oh, they "forgot about that". The alignment was done,2 1/2 hours later and now my steering is "loose" now but do I really want to go back and spend over two hours there? not so much. read more

I received great service today from John at the Tempe location ( 930 E Baseline Rd). I will admit that I came in a little frustrated because I keep having to replace the tires I purchased less than a year ago, with less than 20k miles that have a 40,000 mile warranty. I asked to speak to a manager and John rose to the occasion. He listened to my concerns patiently and without attitude, explained what I needed to do on my end to ensure the warranty is not voided out ( schedule wheel alignment every 6k) and serviced me quickly. Multiple auto shops, including auto zones and o'riely auto parts, have told me they hear complaints all the time about this Firestone and this location is known for taking advantage of customers. This review isn't necessarily for Firestone, itself, but for the manager they have in charge of this location. His name is John. Firtst, my husband and I had recently bought two new tires for our Nissan at the Camelback & Miller location in Scottsdale. At the time of the purchase, we had a FULL inspection done on the car and we were given a list of what needed to be repaired. When we drove away, we noticed that our car was driving like the springs had been cut (it was awful)! Bouncy, choppy, and miserable to drive. We called the store where we had the tires replaced and the manager, Paul, explained to us that we probably needed to purchase the remaining two new tires because the ride was affected by only replacing two. We set the appointment and had them replaced (so now we had all four new tires) just to find that the car was driving even worse!! We called back again and asked if they could tell us the problem and fix it because when the car was brought in, there were ZERO problems with the suspension or ride. We brought in the car and they told us we needed new tire rods. We then called our regular mechanic (who is certified) and he assured us that under a recent inspection done by him, that the tire rods were fine and did not need to be replaced. We proceeded to tell Firestone this, and they then said that when they lifted our car to replace the tires, that the struts must have given out. Why, then, under TWO "full inspections" weren't we told that our struts were worn and needed replacing? We were very upset about all we had been thru with this (as it had been a drawn out and expensive process at this point) and asked for some sort of compensation on the new tires we had purchased. The manager, Paul, refused to help us in any way other than to discount us a whopping 5% on our repair if we let him replace our struts (which was going to cost us nearly $1,000--$600 of which was labor). We told him we weren't interested and called another location. This is when we contacted the Baseline location and spoke with John. He told us he can understand our frustration and that there was a complete lack of communication on Paul's end and although it wasn't malicious, he probably could have found a way to better the situation for us. John booked an appointment with us and ended doing a GREAT job remedying the situation for us! Because of this, we bought two new tires for our other car and an alignment of which he gave us a great deal and got done within a few hours. We asked him to check the life on our brakes on the vehicle as well because we firmly believed they needed to be replaced and he assured us we had plenty of time left on them after he did an inspection. John not only proved to be helpful and expedient, but honest and understanding as well! Because of him, and him alone, we will be back to Firestone for future tires and alignments and will recommend him and his location to friends and family. THANK YOU JOHN! My husband and I have been in customer service for years and it is always such a treat to deal with someone who doesn't act as tho you are wrong when you have an issue with a service. ATTENTION: DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND SCREW WITH YOUR CARS. I was about 10 minutes away from this shop, my car started to cough and had hard time taking in gas, so I drove to this firestone because it was the nearest auto shop and I asked someone there to just electronically check my engine, I was already aware of the problem because my regular mechanic warned me about it which was a leak/mechanical faults. Since my mechanic is an hour away, so I thought I would give this place a try. After this guy told me that was it, I told him that the rpm would start to flicking when it is in drive without hittin the gas, he didn't listen. He revved my car up to 4,000 rpm while in park. I had to tell him to stop because I know that CANNOT BE GOOD FOR A CAR THAT IS BREAKIN DOWN. How can they be so dumb. they tried to talk to me in all mechanical terms then said it would cost $98 to do this and that. At first I thought that it is probably just the labor after repairing which supposedly to be normal. But I wanted to double check, I asked them if that is after repairing, again they tempted to throw me off with all terms. I had to ask AGAIN, "is $98 just to check my engine?" Then they hesitated before saying yes then proceed to say oh we will have to "dig deeper" and all of that shit. My regular mechanic NEVER charge me just "dig deeper". He only charge me $50 to $100 for the labor AFTER repairs. Now, my friend took her to this place just to get oil changed yesterday. She told them to NOT TOUCH ANY THING ELSE IN THE ENGINE, it has been running perfectly for years. After the oil was changed, they tempted to tell her that it has plenty of problems that need immediate attention but she recently had it checked by her regular mechanic, there is no problems. now her car makes several click noises before forcing the engine to start and her battery is brand new. Those sneaky idiots will rip y'all off and screw with your cars just to get you to come back. Watch out read more

Took vehicle to this location for the first time. Needed oil change and tire rotation. Employees were very friendly and didn't try to up-sell me on things I didn't need. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because if price on tire rotation. Many places offer discount rotation w/ oil change. Ended up spending $60 on oil change and rotation. Regular oil. Nothing special. Otherwise, I was very satisfied. I think next time, I'll have a free rotation done at Discount tire. read more

Do not go to firestone! They have HORRIBLE customer service and have shady business practices. The feedback survey they currently offer ($10 off $25 or more on services) is NOT anonymous despite saying so. JOE from this location made a point to bring that up as he mistakenly thought i submitted a survey on our interaction of just scheduling an appointment. If he looked at the time stamp he would have realized I submitted the survey PRIOR to coming in...Regardless to even bring that up to a customer was shocking and showed exactly why he was rude from the get go of just today's conversation. Firestone is notorious for adding on additional unneeded services, plus they are only concerned about bringing in their next customer, I dropped my car off at 7am and didn't get a call until after 2pm and that's just the call to go over what needs to be done.. I am a longtime customer and I continued to go to them because I had warranties and already purchased lifetime alignment (which they don't always remember to do when requested) that I didn't want to go. They are dishonest and have no integrity as a company at least at this location store #020516. The manager JOHN GIBSON is just as bad as his employees.. He didn't even apologize about after I had discussed how JOE was extremely unprofessional. He had less than 4 words to say, his response to my poor experience just went to show the culture at this firestone. He does not lead by example and his poor management is a reflection of the customer service given. Last thing to mention when I went to pick up my car both JOHN and JOE were gone and I had to speak with MATT who like them didn't let me finish we hasn't even started talking about this and he refused to listen Saying he's just a "third party, I'm not apart of this" and it's not his job to do this. I referred my sister to Firestone near our house to go have her oil changed before she left town. She was from Idaho and I think they of course noticed her out of town plates plus being female. They changed the oil and she received a call from the store telling her all the problems she has with her car. She was upset because she was leaving town a few days later. She asked them to write it all down with prices. She then picked up her car and called another mechanic that she trusted. He checked it all over the next day and found NOTHING wrong like they said. Could not find any leaks or needed repair. She was very upset she was going to be taken by this business and went up to complain. They said the manager wasn't in but got the assistant manager. He didn't know what to say except they wanted to check her car again. She said NO WAY you would ever touch my car again. Customers in the waiting room were rolling their eyes in disbelief. Made an appointment online at 8 AM for an oil change at 1030 AM. Website said I would receive a phone call to verify my appointment. Noon rolls around. No phone call. I finally call firestone and tell them I made an appointment online and I never received a call or response by email and was waiting since 8 AM. The clerk brushed off my complaint and said "Well bring it on by and we will fit you in." I give in and drive down there. The guys working there were nice and professional. They took my truck and told me it would be around an hour and a half. The place was swamped. They call me 45 minutes later and tell me my truck is ready. I was pleasantly surprised. I picked up my truck and paid thirty bucks. I open my hood and checked my fluids. They didn't top off my windshield washer fluid, my radiator reservoir, or check my tire pressure. Every other place does includes these services. I checked my oil and it was clean. One point for them. So I begrudgingly go to the auto parts store and buy the fluids I need and a tire pressure gauge. While checking my tire pressure I notice one of my tires has a leaky tire valve stem. And it is leaking air like crazy! I call Firestone back and the manager Craig answers. I tell him I was just there for an oil change and I would like a leaky stem replaced. He told me to come down and he would have it fixed. I show up and Craig was very helpful. He asked which technician worked on my truck. I told him I don't know. He tells me they won't be in trouble (But I could tell they would be haha). He looks up who worked on my truck on the computer and runs to the back of the shop. I then see a technician running to get my truck and driving it to the shop to fix my stem. After ten minutes my truck is parked right in front of the front door (VIP service). Manager Craig tells me there will be no charge for fixing the valve stem. He tells me that if his technicians were doing their jobs, they would have noticed the broken valve stem and could have fixed it right then and there. Thus, eliminating me having to drive back and forth. I thanked Craig and left. Will I go back for a half assed oil change? Probably not. Craig gets 5 stars, however, for his great customer service and problem solving. Thanks, Craig! read more

I purchased the lifetime alignment service for my vehicle earlier this year and the initial alignment of my vehicle was great; I believe that earned this location 2 stars instead of 1. However, it was the subsequent customer service experience that has driven me away from using Firestone again. I was forced to get rid of my truck shortly after purchasing Firestone's lifetime alignment contract, having only used it for a single wheel alignment. It is much more expensive than a single alignment service, but seemed like a good deal since I was planning on having the truck for a while. I understood the lifetime alignment was vehicle specific and I did not expect to receive a refund for the cost difference. Still, I felt that it was reasonable to at least ask if Firestone was potentially willing to provide a discount or coupon, considering I paid a much higher price than the single alignment price. When I visited the location, I was told they were not willing to do anything for me, despite paying a much higher price and only receiving a single wheel alignment. I followed up with Firestone's customer service on September 18 with a detailed email, expressing concern that this did not seem to be a fair exchange and this was giving me pause for conducting business with them moving forward. I felt they were acting only to make money now, without any effort on their part to establish an ongoing business/customer relationship. I felt as though the Baseline location valued a quick profit over earning a customer's loyalty. Firestone's customer service contact center was very quick to reply to my concern and forward it to the manager of the Tempe service center with the promise that he/she would reach out to me shortly. Today is October 18th and I have waited 30 days without any reply from the Baseline Firestone location or contact center. In summary, the execution of the alignment was as expected and the contact center was quick to reply to me, but without any follow-up. The big takeaway in my eyes is that the Baseline Firestone location gave the impression that since they had profited a bit off of me; they did not care about any of my business moving forward. I really don't feel that they did anything to deserve profiting off me anymore. read more

I was very nervous about coming to Firestone to have my tires replaced because of all of the not so great reviews on the service, and the quality of the tires themselves. However, after an extensive search for the best prices I found that they were the most reasonable. I dint make an appointment, but luckily when I went they were able to get me in. I quickly voiced my concerns about what i had heard about the quality of Firestone tires and the manager that helped me out was knowledgeable and very reassuring. After checking out my tires and finding the ones that were best for my car and my budget, the staff got right to work on my car. They have a very small waiting section inside the shop with a lot of typical man magazines and a TV. with cable so i didn't go crazy. wile i waited the manager would periodically check on me and would see if i needed anything to drink or a snack, he would make small talk and was over all very nice. Before i knew it my car was all done! As i was getting ready to go, they didn't try to concern me with repairs that mysteriously needed attention while they were working on my car. They said "let us know if you have any questions or concerns about what we did today. Call or drop by any time." Over all it was a great experience. About a month later i was driving and needed to make a turn into a shopping center. i took the turn a little too soon and slightly hit the curb and took a small dime sized chip out of my new tire. I immediately drove over to Firestone and told them what happened. they took a look at it and said my tire was just fine and not to worry but that my air pressure was low. the manager called over two guys and fixed the air pressure right on the spot and didn't charge me. My over all experience with this place was great. read more
