I've brought numerous cars in here for oil changes and other services. The quality from the mechanics is fine. The quality of customer service is horrible. First of all when you walk in there are a bunch of stand up desks with employees working at and you don't know where to stand or do because no greets you or tells you what to do. I stood there the last time I was in and the woman employee was on her cell phone typing as I waited. She didn't even acknowledge I was there until about 3 minutes later I spoke up to ask if I should go find another employee to help me. She looked at me confused and said: "I am right in the middle of something. I'll be right with you." She should of said that when I walked in. I waited in the waiting area and I noticed all the employees seemed to be bothered by helping the customers that walk in. A real negative culture. I value customer service and they sure are lacking in this area. No bueno! read more

Made an appointment previous day, arrived next day and was told I couldn't get my truck serviced for another week (oil change and tire rotation). Kevin was absolutely amazing here. I came in at closing (yes one of those customers) and forgot to grab my house key from my key ring. I caught Kevin leaving in his car, he unlocked everything, turned back on the lights, put back on the hydraulics and lowered my vehicle to allow me the ability to grab my house key. Zero stars if I could and trust me, this negative review is very well deserved. I called asking how long it would take to put a battery on my work van and they said less than an hour, So I took it there. Four hours later when I asked if my van was ready, they said that they took it upon theirselves to call the fleet company and authorized new tires and an oil change. I explained that I had customer appointments and that they should've called me and checked first, but they continued with the services they wanted to do and made me wait more. To top it off the person that was replacing the tires overheard my conversation with the person getting me the keys and paperwork and started screaming at me that the tires were needed. I don't argue that I might needed tires, my whole point was the lack of communication with me, the one that decided to take the vehicle there for a battery only. I would've scheduled to come back the very next day and gotten the tires and oil change. And screaming at me for complaining about their lack of communication just seals the deal of me not coming back ever and leaving this negative review. I really hope a lot if customers read this and don't use them at all. And not experience what I experienced. Zero starts if I could. Too rude and, zero communication and possibly a scam. My car had a power steering leak and I told them before they looked at it that I am quite sure it's the hose that has a small leak. I left my car with them and get a call back, them telling me that they have to replace the pump. I trusted them, said ok to do so for the agreed upon price of 144.95. skip foreword they tried to charge me almost 390 dollars. Skip forward further, the power steering isn't even fixed and still leaking the same way. I am still 100% certain it's the hose and that they just replaced a perfectly fine pump to do something and make a quick dollar.... read more

When moving my family across country.. my car started having issues with the temperature gauge going from normal to instantly cold then my AC blowing hot.. I dropped it off at Firestone because they were the only mechanic place open on Sunday.. called and made a reservation before hand.. when tried to explain the issue the employee there kinda just cut me off and said they would get to it first thing tomorrow morning because they couldn't look at it today.. but he said it would be among the first cars they would look at... no big deal.. they opened at 7am...and I was spending the night in Tempe anyways.. when I didn't hear anything around 9am I called and politely asked to get an update.. The guy said they had been working on it for the past 45 mins but the diagnostic was still going and they would have more of an update later... great news! I got a call around 10:15 asking what the issue of the car was... explained what was happening.. because the guy in the beginning didn't let me explain.. but no big deal.. the employee then said they were starting on it now... Confused.. I said that the previous guy stated they already started on it about 2 hours ago... but ok.. I'm kinda loosing my patience at this point..but I work retail so I get it.. They called me about an hour later saying it was the water housing outlet and I needed a new temperature gauge.. out the door with labor would be $650 and take about 2 hours to fix.. but they couldn't verify that was actually the issue because the car wasn't doing it for them... Paying $650 for something that might not be the issue didn't rub me well.. Well, before my road trip I had my car inspected by Big O Tires to make sure everything was fine.. Called the Big O Tires place right up the road... explained my issue... Will was super nice..got me in instantly... verified it was the same part that Firestone quoted but explained he could have it done in a hour and best part.... for $185!!! Cars been running amazing... only bad thing is that Firestone charges you $75 for a diagnostic that Big O tires does for free... so I wasted $75 but since I was able to get it taken care of by Big O Tires for $185... I'll cut my loses.. So summary... Firestone.. has my car most of the morning just to figure out the issue... $650 plus tax.. and two hours to fix.. Big O tires.. had my car for two hours.. $185 out the door.. Good luck! read more

Every time I bring any of my vehicles here, I get them back more broken than when I dropped them off. I brought in my vehicle for alignment because it was pulling to the left. Got it back, it's pulling to the right. Brought my brand new vehicle in for a tire rotation and alignment (it was driving perfectly straight, just due for a rotation), I get it back and it's pulling left. I bring it in for an oil change, I come back to a POOL of full synthetic oil in my garage because they crunched the gasket. Although the guys are all generally pleasant to work with, I've given them too many chances attempting to maintainmy vehicles. I'm afraid if I bring it in for some air in my tires and they'll total it. Stay away at all costs if you slightly care about your vehicle's well-being. read more

I am a young woman in her 20's, student and brought my car here with a broken accessory belt. In addition to my $25 replacement piece + labor they added a false issue with part of my motor that brought up the total estimation of the fix to over $900. I had a friend take a look at it and fixed in with $100. If you are a young girl just don't go here. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. After multiple trips to Mercedes to figure out what's wrong with my car and them telling me I didn't need new brakes... I wasn't happy with the answer as I knew my car needed some work done as it wasn't running right and kept squeaking. I called this location and Ryan said if you can be here shortly I can take a closer look at what you're suspecting and try to help. So I pull into Firestone around 10:15am on a BUSY Saturday and sure enough Ryan took care of me. He did a full inspection on my car and showed me the parts that needed replacing as I had suspected. He also made sure to order the correct brand name parts for my car. Ryan also applied the discounts to save me money as I wasn't initially coming in to spend over $1000. The repairs were done in a timely manner and all the guys were nice and the shop was very well organized. THANK YOU Ryan and Firestone for being HONEST and doing the job RIGHT. I'll always go to this location as long as Ryan is there as I really trust his judgement. If he were to move locations I'd follow him there as well. read more

Firestone was my go to auto shop for 2 years but I've gotten sick of their upselling and pressure tactics. The last straw came when they wouldn't rotate the Michelin 100,000 tires I had with lifetime wheel balancing and rotating. Apparently there was "too little tread" and they advised me to replace all 4 tires asap. (While also dropping that they had a promotion for tires and steering me towards some $400 ones) I took my car to Hon-Man and they told me that my tires had some typical cracking from the AZ heat but was otherwise fine. I used to go for their $14.99 oil change and service check but I'd rather spend $29.99 at Hon-Man to get an accurate diagnosis. This isn't an isolated incident either, everytime I've come to a Firestone they print out a listing of "urgent" repairs your car needs. If you love Jiffy Lube scare tactics your gonna love the treatment you get at Firestone who seem to only look to pad their monthly billing reports. If you want an honest reliable mechanic that actually passes on the savings to the end customer go find a nice shop like the Honda servicing Hon-Man. read more

I came in early Saturday having to have my radiator tested. I was originally told it would take late into the afternoon. Instead they were able to get everything complete before noon and the car is running great. I really recommend making an appointment as early as possible if you come on the weekened. I called them 20 mins before my appointment that I was running a little late. Some guy told me I'm ok. Then when I showed up I was literally 7 mins late, this girl who worked there told me since I was late they had to started with other cars and I'll have to wait for 2-3 hours. For an oil change?! Really?? So anyways I decided to get picked up and before I left I wanted to confirm the price. I had called the exactly same place just a couple days ago before my appointment for an estimate. Some guy told me it's going to be $69 plus tax. And now when I'm there she told me it's going to be $89 plus tax. Wait a second did you just raise your price on me AND making me wait for 2 extra hours? That was just ridiculous and I had to cancel my appointment. About a month ago my son ended up with a dead car in Tempe. Unfortunately we live in Queen Creek. After him having a very kind person help him try to start his car w no luck, we realized we'd have to tow it. We've always used the QC location but towing it to our side of town was too costly so I searched near him. Called the tow company and then headed to where he was. Given the time for waiting for the tow, I called this location to let them know what was happening and hoped we'd still catch them open. Eventually the tow showed up and we got him loaded with only 5 mins to closing and a 7 min drive. Once again I called while we were heading over and John was so nice in promising to stay open for us. He stayed late to take all our information and get it set up so they could work on our son's car first thing without another trip or phone calls in the am. I love going to this location but yesterday really delighted me. KEVIN was AMAZING! That poor dude needs a raise or promotion. He was so helpful and honest. He had amazing customer service and really showed up to help despite how crazy it was with the phones ringing off the hook and some issues with staff. He kept his calm and when they couldn't locate a leak on my tires he was honest and didn't want to charge me for something they weren't 100% positive was the issue. Selena doesn't have a chance if this guy is working. He even threw in a free tire gauge for me so when my tire pressure light comes on I can make sure which tire is causing the issue. This is not the best place for service my vehicle was taken in for basic repairs on I was looking to pick my vehicle up after they were servicing it and they kept my vehicle .I took it in for basic maintenance and was going to pick it up after they serviced it I was displeased when I returned they wouldn't release my vehicle to me and left me without pa vehicles which is my lovely hood I am going to take every step possible to expose what they have done to me it's not only effecting me but without my vehicle I wont be able to work buy food no way to pay rent this company here has zero good standing in my book and I will be taking steps to have them release my vehicle this place is a fraud ,praying on customers to steal there vehicle I was appalled when they said I had a outstanding bill of 800 dollars what kind of basic maintenance costs that?Now I'm no mechanic but this place is not where anyone should ever take there vehicle here unless your looking to have professional con artist and thevies swindle you into them STEALING your car .Tell everyone you know and let's get this out there so they can not act this way in the future. read more

Good luck- they have a few good mechanics. But they are unorganized and are not the best at communicating the status of your vehicle. I got a tired replaced thinking I was getting a decent deal. Only to find out that I could have gotten basically the same tire for another place for about $80 less. Then a few weeks later I come in because I have a leak in another tire. They try to tell me that I need all new tires and a new rim.. yes even the tire they just replaced they said needed to be replaced. At this point I am fed up. I waited around almost all day to only have them call me and tell me it's not gunna work. I'm sticking to discount or small family owned business from now on. So i stopped in here this morning because i had a problem tire that i needed aired up (Quik Trip's air machine was out of order). When i walked in there was a man talking to the 3 employees and i literally stood there for almost 3 minutes before someone even acknowledged me. When one of them finally asked if they could help me, i told him i only need air and he told me to pull around to where the bays are, which i did. Zero stars. Had an issue with the girlfriends car. Battery that was barely a year old was failing so I took it here because apparently all the Fletcher's where it was originally purchased at were bought out by Firestone. Silly me to think that a warranty usually is taken care of company wide. Turned away with a "we can't do anything you will have to take it back to the store you purchased it at (a previous Fletcher's now also a Firestone) and they will warranty it out for you." Great. The car is out front running because I know it won't start again, now I have to go from Tempe to BFE south Chandler in rush hour traffic in a car that I'm not completely sure will make it there. No concern that I may not make it that far. No offer to call the other store to make sure they will take care of it. No call to someone who could make a corporate decision to actually help a customer. No call to the battery supplier to see if they could get credit back on the battery so they could replace it at no cost to the store. (The battery supplier ended up doing just that a 100% credit to the store that did replace it) No willingness to want to make a customer that lives just down the street. Nothing. Just a feeling of hey that's not my problem take it somewhere else. Customer service? Major fail. (I don't like to rag on a shop but I've been in the auto service industry for 20+ years, starting as a tire buster/lube tech working my way up into sales then management, so I know a customer service fail when it happens) PS: This car needs two tires. My truck needs an oil change. My Saab needs struts, CV axles and a fuel filter. Maybe BSFS needs a secret shopper. read more

My car battery died two weeks after moving to Arizona. After some helpful strangers jumped it for me, I took it to Firestone to have the battery evaluated and replaced. Before coming to Firestone, I stopped at AutoZone, where they checked my battery and told me it was "bad." They were friendly, but not super professional and didn't seem too motivated to help. At Firestone I was immediately greeted and offered assistance with my vehicle. They too checked my battery and gave me a more detailed assessment than I received at AutoZone. They quickly offered to replace it and I was in an out of there with a new battery within 15-20 minutes. They were very professional and service-oriented. In terms of pricing, the batteries at Firestone (Interstate MT and MTP) are comparable to the higher end batteries sold at AutoZone (Duralast and Duralast Gold/Platinum), and both come with 5-year limited warranties. Firestone does charge for battery replacement ($30 at Firestone, free at AutoZone), but the man who helped me at Firestone applied some discounts without me even asking, and the price came out to the same or less than I would have paid at AutoZone. Overall a great experience and would recommend this location! read more

My tire popped on my way to work in the morning. I first called them and asked for a towing company recommendation to get my car dropped off at their location. Their recommendation worked out really great for me; Central Towing was timely, friendly, and delivered the key for me to the Firestone location so that I could head straight to work! Right away in the morning, they promised me they would have it done for me by the end of the day, and they delivered. The staff members that I communicated with all day were super friendly (Sean, Tyler, and Jennifer). When I arrived there after work, they answered every question I had before I even got the chance to ask it. As someone who is not very knowledgeable with cars, I felt extremely comfortable and well informed. To that point, I'm not totally certain I got a great deal, but I paid around $250 total for 3 miles towing (not provided by Firestone directly, but by their preferred partner) and a new tire with installation included; I thought this was fair for the ease and service that they provided me with. read more

Very unprofessional service from Jennifer front desk to the boys in the back fixing the vehicles. Unfortunately, was given a promise to be fit in schedule for an emergent situation to just show up and be disrespected and turned away. It's unprofessional to turn around and be called a "fucking bitch " by Jennifer when I was in close proximity to hear exactly what was said. For the boys to tell the tow truck driver "I was going to do this service, but not anymore" is just simply unnecessary and putting a complete third party into drama is just uncomfortable. Also Firestone, if you're unable to complete a certain service like patching a tire before a certain time maybe specify that on the website or in store. read more

my daughter went here twice with her car. My biggest complaint is they gave her a work order without verbally explaining the problems to her car. They scribbled in the note section, the oil leak problem, but then told her "your car is good". Being young and inexperienced with car mechanics, she didn't understand the work order well. my first review was 2 stars, i changed it to 4 because the company reached out to me immediately to resolve my concern. and after seeing the work order for the first time, i see that Firestone wasn't totally at fault. Originally we got two oil changes on two of our cars and had no issues with upselling or pushing other mechanical work, which was a plus in our book. However, we brought in our car for a small oil leak just to see what was going on. The girl on the phone originally said the $10 inspection would do the trick, but when we arrived they immediately pushed for the $40 leak detection with dye. We said, okay, if that's what's needed let's do it. When we picked up the car they said they had to charge $50 for the service, and also that they never used the dye because they didn't need to. In summary, we were overcharged for a service that they said was necessary but did not perform. Needless to say we will not be returning. read more

I've been bringing my autos to this place for over 20 years when they used to be located in another area of this strip mall at Lakes. I've always received great service at a fair price. I brought my car in to have the hatch lift gate hydraulic struts replaced. My spoiler was also coming off due to the impact of slamming down since the old struts were worn out. Rob looked at my car and said he could fix both problems! That saved me money from having to go to a body shop just to reattach the spoiler! I told Megan to have a diagnostic test done on my car and wanted my oil changed. She phoned me later and let me know my battery was running low but it was still under warranty. I had a new battery installed for just $15! She also told my car was in great condition and no other work needed to be done. I've always trusted this Firestone location and that's because there has never been an honesty issue ever. I want to thank Rob the tech for doing such a great job repairing my vehicle and Megan for keeping me informed. I got my car back in just a few hours. Very timely manner even with having to order parts! I'm relieved to have my auto care needs done at this Firestone! Thanks! I had the oil changed and 4 new tires. The new tires included about $42 for TPMS kits. When I got home, I checked the work, and discovered they hadn't installed the TPMS kits. When I called I was told to come back and they'd check it out. Upon walking in, Jennifer (who had been super-friendly previously) immediately started processing the refund. I half-expected somebody would try to explain to me they'd done the work and that I was stupid. So, kudos to the staff for knowing they were busted and just processing the refund, rather than trying to BS me. read more

STORY I've been to this place three times. First time, to get a 90k service and two tires. The prices were awesome, the service price were good because of their anniversary promotion and the tires were priced well due to it being last day of the month or something like that. Anyway, I came away happy. I came back a few weeks later with a noise/vibration that I couldn't quite figure out and was told that it was my suspension that needed replacement. Okay, fine, I thought so anyway. a couple of weeks later vibration got even worse and when I came back yet again, I was told that all my motor/transmission mounts collapsed since they were old and needed to be replaced, hence the vibration. Quite an interesting suggestion considering that one of the mounts was less than 4 months old, so while it MIGHT have collapsed, it certainly would not be old. Taking the truck back to where I had it serviced for the motor mount, the real culprit was found: rear differential falling apart and rear drive shaft disconnecting. Sooo... nothing to do with motor mounts. CONCLUSION I would come here for the good deal for tires in a heartbeat, but will have to skip on any services and especially any fixes that these guys offer. read more

Service reps are friendly, but had a small nail in one tire I needed removed, 1 hour later I get a call that they are replacing all 4 tires with their firestone brand (business makes more money with their brand) which has a much lesser quality ratings than the ones I had there previously. They didnt consult with me, just the fleet service. I do a lot of snow driving and now I am stuck with these below average snow tires. I won't be coming back here. read more

I called Firestone today to see how busy they were for an oil change and tire rotation, alignment and balance. They said the were not busy and to come in. I arrived and was greeted by Matt. I told him what I needed and he printed out a work order. However, I forgot to tell him that I needed high mileage oil until after he had printed the work order. My mistake. He tried to fix it but ended up printing another work order that indicated the high mileage oil. They said it would be about an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes so I walked across the street to a local restaurant. About an hour later, I received a call that my car was complete. I went back and was greeted by Craig M. who said he had my ticket ready. I asked if my car had the high mileage oil. On the sheet that Craig had, he said that it didn't have the high mileage oil change done but then Matt said that he had attached a sheet to it that said it was supposed to have it. They conferred and then went to the technician in the work area and came back and said that it had the high mile oil. So Craig handed my work order to Matt who finished ringing me up. The amount came to approx. $23 but then after I had swiped my card and was signing to show that I had paid, I noticed that the work order was for a completely different customer! I ended up paying for someone else's oil change. I told Matt that the customer listed at the top was not me and he went to get Craig to fix the issue. Craig returned and told me that it was ok and it would be taken care of. I asked if they were going to give me a refund for the amount to my card since I had paid for someone else's work that was done. Craig then somewhat condescendingly explained that I paid $23 and I was supposed to be charged around $45 dollars so he just wanted to give it to me for the lower price. He didn't want to give me a refund. I understood his explanation but still wanted a receipt as proof of the services that I had done to my car today. He printed out a copy of the work order that says in big letters "THIS IS NOT AN INVOICE" at the bottom. I appreciate his willingness to cut me a deal since it was their mistakes all along, but I am going to watch my debit card bank statement to make sure that I am not charged any further amounts. I also want to make sure that later on down the road, they don't come back saying that I have an outstanding balance. I am also a little skeptical that they did the lifetime rotation, balance and alignment since they had made so many mistakes and my car was done much quicker than promised. I'm not complaining but I'm glad that I didn't need anything more than an oil change. read more
