I had done some services at this location in the past, however I will not be returning after my most recent visit. I had dropped my vehicle off the morning of 1/4 for an oil change + induction cleaning. Following the visit, I find a pair of Ray Bans sunglasses missing from my glove box and charges totaling $360 in "Uber Cash" on the HSA card I had stored in my center console. The only other time my vehicle had been out of my sight was when locked, parked in a monitored parking, in a pretty low crime area. There were no signs of forced entry and the radar detector mounted to my mirror was not touched. This greatly calls into question the integrity of the employees at this facility. When I had reached out to the manager at this location, I was told "Our employees wouldn't do anything like that, they don't use Uber". No apology or investigation. When I had requested any evidence of my service actually being completed (IE photos or footage of the work, dates / mileage on oil filter, etc.), I was told they "do not have cameras at this facility". Ignoring how ridiculous it is that a facility housing customer vehicles and tools is completely unmonitored, this means they have 0 evidence the service I had been invoiced for was completed, even less so if I wanted to verify they had used the full synthetic oil I had paid for. I suspect there are cameras, the manager on duty just decided my issue wasn't worth pursuing. Upon submitting a complaint on the Firestone website, providing details of what happened, I was told I would receive a call from the "area manager" within 2 business days. We're halfway though day 3 with no communication. My negative experience on this past visit overshadows the 3 positive ones I had at this location in the past. There are 2 oil change facilities and 2 full service shops within a couple minute drive of this facility, I'd try one of those before taking the risk. read more

Zero stars if I could. We brought our vehicle in for a full inspection at Firestone, expecting professional service and peace of mind. Instead, they forgot to tighten the lug nuts on one of the wheels. My wife was driving home from work at 4am when the wheel nearly came off. Thankfully, she managed to pull over safely, but we had to get the car towed back to the shop. Even then, they insisted the lug nuts had been tightened--despite clear evidence to the contrary. This level of negligence is unacceptable and dangerous. We will never return to this location, and we strongly recommend others think twice before trusting them with their vehicles. read more

Please do not take your vehicle here!! I had them change both rear running lights in my vehicle. After service was completed my truck lining will no longer go in properly. I paid $140 for this service and know the bulbs run $20 max. Please be careful when visiting. We had major troubleshooting issues with our CRV and he was kind to prioritize our vehicle, ensuring we left with the issues resolved. He was more than willing to assist us and keep us updated throughout the car repair as well! He really made time to ensure the weird sounds we were hearing were 100% gone. I was keeping my fingers crossed that I'd have a good experience here - the location is walking distance from home and I need a go-to repair shop in the area. The staff just isn't helpful, unfortunately. I'm sure they're all great technicians but they either don't have people skills or just don't care - I'm not sure a single person in that building smiled when I was there today lol. I came in for some run of the mill services, and I'll give them kudos for getting my car in and out in 2 hours, but they were unpleasant to work with, they tried to charge me for an inspection I didn't ask for and they couldn't change out my headlight bulb because they didn't have the part for it. I asked them what the part is so that I can look for it myself and they weren't able to tell me and suggested I try the dealership... I went to the autozone a mile away and the techs there were able to tell me exactly what I needed and they had dozens of bulbs in stock, with different light options. They also installed them for me for free. I think that experience alone tells me that this Firestone location is not a good one - unfriendly staff, can't do a simple repair like a headlight bulb change, can't provide basic information, etc.... If I could do 0 stars I would. Complete dogshit place. Highly don't recommend bringing your car here. Took my car to Big-O for an alignment, rotate & balance with a clean inspection with no issues. I then take my care to "Firestone" to get an oil change (through insurance). I come across "Vincent" who then says my coolant is low & I need a new battery. Mind you, I went to Big-O a few hours before and they said I was fine. Then they call me back & mention it was 2 false positives? Complete scummy place with idiots behind the desk & if you see this you know deep down you all are idiots. I then ask for the pdf of the inspection & "Vincent" says "we got new technology and we're trying to still get it all together so i'll resend it through email" so pretty much i was getting lied too. I had them put on 2 new tire for my Fiat 500E and they did an amazing job. They told me it would be about 45-60 minutes and when I showed back up after 50 minutes it was done. My car was clean and no grease or dirt on the steering wheel which seems to happen at any other place I have been to. The guys writing up the order asked me how I wanted the tires installed and never did they try to be pushy or rude like I have found at other shops. My paperwork took 10 seconds and I was on my way. Best service I have had in Years!!!! Kudos to the technicians and service writers! You all deserve raises. Thank you for doing your job and for doing it well! read more

I thought my muffler had a hole because it was making a really loud noise, so I took it into Firestone. They checked it out and it was not my muffler. The wheel bearings were making the noise. They were able to fix it that day. I left it and picked it up later that day. They were very nice and explained everything to me. I always go to this store. read more

Very unprofessional, specifically Porter Wakefield, the current "service manager" at the Firestone Ahwatukee location. I had to call the corporate office and file a complaint due to the horrendous treatment received by he and a fellow employee. On my way to work, I went in for a free air check like I have in the past. However, this time around, the employee stated that I could not expect him to drop everything that he's doing for a simple tire air-up. There were absolutely no lines whatsoever and approximately 2 cars in the bay. He then tells me that my only option would be to drop off my car, wait 30 minutes, and then come back after he's finished with his prior dealings. I have never had that happen before. He said "yeah well thats the new policy now." I was shocked, so I walked into the establishment for help. Instead, I was met with an even more I rate individual who happened to be the manager but unfortunately possessed zero conflict resolution skills. Instead of him greeting me and asking me how he could help, he immediately gaslights my reasoning for walking into the company as if I had the audacity. When I asked him for clarity and his employee's name, he became extremely upset, a gatekeeper, and refused to do so. Fortunately, I spotted all of the employee cards located on the counter next to the computer, so I simply plucked the information that I needed and asked for prior to, which made him highly unstable. As I took my phone out, he said that if I tried to record him, he'd call the cops because I'm currently on private property, threatening to take a picture of my license plate as well and all of this was because his employee didn't feel like airing up my tire. Unbelievable. I DO NOT recommend this particular location. If you are looking for fairness, value, and quality customer care, try using Discount Tire instead. Do yourself a favor and when I say do not bring your car here, don't. I have been going to Firestone for four years this exact location and same with my family and friends. I drove all the way from midtown to ahwatukee bc I was a loyal customer. The other day I had a car oil scheduled and I and I requested it done by 5 because I had an appointment. I drop my car off and after a few hours It hits 5:30 and I didn't hear back so I called to ask if there was an ETA. At this point it was gonna be closing time and I didn't care because I was willing to wait till closing. This man then proceeds to tell me that they didn't work on my car because unexpected things occurred but what's frustrating is that you could have told me that WAYYY earlier so I could have just come and got my car and not have missed my appointment. I had to call and follow up regarding something that should have communicated. Basically they didn't work on my car and when I came to pick it up this man was not sorry. I told him I had to Uber and back to get my car and I just wasted my money. No one was sorry and he said the manager would reach out and THEY NEVER DID. Not only did I waste my hard worked money ubering back and forth thinking my car is actually being worked on and the no remorse or actual care. I was driving home from work and there is construction on 48th and apparently there was something in the road and gave me a flat tire. I took it in at 7:00 am. Website said opens at 7:00 me and another gentlemen waited and by 7:20 not one came so we both drop our keys in the after hours drop box. I called a couple of times and they hadn't had a chance to look at it but assured me it would be done by closing at 6:00. Got there at 5:45 and my car was in the bay. They finally came out and said it couldn't be repaired. I got a quote of around $150 for a new tire. I left it and they called me and said they quoted me wrong and that to get that price I would have to forgo the road hazard warranty so I said ok. Went to pick it up and said it is $232. I said you told me on the phone to get me the original price I would have to not get road hazard. They now have the tire on and I would have to have them take it off and I would go to Discount. Had a battery go bad on a Sunday called three different Firestone stores had no workers to replace a battery under warranty. Had the battery checked at a place that I trust 100% in their machine showed me which I saw the battery had a dead cell. I couldn't sit here to who knows when hoping to get it replaced when people want to work so what's the use of having a warranty that cannot be honored? my charging system was also checked by the other place so that was not the problem it was the battery itself. I will be canceling my Firestone credit card and will no longer be a long time customer. to make a long story short I had to buy a new battery when Istill had a warranty with Firestone which I could not get honored. read more

I would like to inform everyone using Firestone complete auto care on 4009 E Chandler Blvd of a horrible job experience Ive encountered. We are an Eco-friendly junk removal service who was hired to remove scrap metal, motor oil, and car parts with some hazardous material. We quoted $150 to remove items. Apollo who was the only person there at the time agreed to price, opened bay door and we began. There was lots of loose oil within the items to be removed with other auto liquids and we informed Apollo we could not take hazardous materials. Apollo informed us to dispose oil and auto liquid in firestones blue disposal garbage can on the side of building, which was the first red flag. After job was complete Apollo refused to pay or provide a way to give them the bill to be paid, He told us to wait until Thursday April 18, 2024 for his manager Porter. When we spoke to Porter he was very unprofessional, He told us Apollo was not a representation of Firestone (but he was wearing a Firestone shirt) and legitimately works there as of right now. Apollo had no authority to hire us for the job but we were hired by him, we know he legitimately works there because I take my truck there to get worked on, I live in the area. Porter told us "Cancel the bill or return items back to Firestone but WE won't pay." We informed him that is not how our company works they have to pay $150 and there items were removed. They refuse to provide us an email address or way to bill for payment. We will release video, audio, pics, proof of work and completion after we deal with corporate office and if nothing is resolved. If you or anyone is considering working for them PLEASE be aware this company don't pay when your work is complete and will threaten you with bigger lawyers then small businesses have. read more

I took my car here a few months ago to replace a leaking valve stem. Decided to get an oil change as well. Went to pick up my car, valve stem issue was not addressed, so they fixed it while I waited. No big deal. Well now, the same valve stem that was supposedly fixed is leaking again, so I took it back and they want to charge me for flat replacement or whatever. It was obviously never fixed right the first time! Why would you want to charge me for a valve stem that YOU replaced and is leaking again? They don't go bad after 3 months. The tech didnt even seem to understand, just kept screwing with the valve stem letting more and more air out. I left frustrated and irritated by this horrible service. Never again am I going here. Would not recommend this place even for something as simple as a valve stem. Would give zero stars if I could. Update. I took my problem to DISCOUNT TIRE and they fixed my valve stem for FREE, no questions asked. I wouldn't even send my enemies to Firestone for a valve stem fix. I have taken my car here on several occasions over the years and found them to be reasonable, this time I took it for them to change the oil then check the AC, told them to ignore the misfire on the check engine light. They told me that my 4 year old Honda had a totally shot AC unit needed to be completely replaced for $2600. They also said that they found my spark plugs were bad one had been completely broken off even though they had been changed a week before dropping it off there in an attempt to see if that repaired the reported misfire issue. They said hey wanted $200 to replace the four plugs. they stated they had done a advanced diagnoses on the misfire issue and wanted around $ 200 more for it even though they were told not to do that repair. I had to contact the customer service at their headquarters to have them help me resolve it. I will contact them again to escalate he complaint but not sure they will be able to do anything, its probably a franchise who wont fix their issues internally. The Manager Bob was rude when he was corrected about the spark plugs, he changed his story from one was broke to the gap was wrong really!, guess he got caught in his lies, and also they took and emptied a brand new bottle of Freon R 1234 yf that cost $150 that was in my vehicle for intended to be used on another of my cars. I am not sure who Alex V. is from one of the reviews but I think that stealing Freon is childish! I have given them the last of my business which has added up over the years to around $4000. read more

REFUSED SERVICE!!!! I HAVE VIDEO. Supervisor was extremely unprofessional and wouldnt even give his name. We scheduled an appointment through their website and got an email saying the request was recieved. The email says if the date and time was not available, we would be contacted. Says this specifically. We showed up the next day for the servive and the service guy said they dont have the appt. Told us they will need until the end of the day. Saif if we gave them the reservation #, they will do it at the scheduled time. When we gave them the reservation #, they then changed it to we dont have the filter. Feeling that was a lie and they just didnt want to do the oil change, I asked why they are now saying something different and not honoring the scheduled appt. The supervisor kept saying he did t approve the appt and that we got a decline. We showed him our email with no decline. After he kept repeating this, he hung up on me twice when I tried to tell him we didnt get that email. And how we were then told the false excuse that they didnt have the filter. When I came to pick up the car, he refused to give his name after I asked nively multuple times. He slammed my keys on the cou ter and walked out on me and slammed the door. I have all this on record and will post online. He continued to lie and refuse to show any proof that they declined our request. Even said he know they called us yet refused to show proof on their caller id. The professional thing to do would have been to take the appt. Its not our fault if he thought he declined it or not. As a manager, being rude and just refusing the cx business is horrible service. I hope Firestone reviews this and understand the insane service their manager is giving. read more

I had been on vacation in San Diego when I found that a plastic plate was hanging from under my car. I knew this would be a simple fix, but I did not feel comfortable going under my car safely. I tried a few local mechanics nearby and was willing to tip for any help, but they all simply bounced me around to the other local shops. After returning to Phoenix, I made an appointment with firestone for a simple inspection. Once I got there, Reneè helped me immediately and even offered honest maintenance recommendations at no charge. We need more technicians like this in the automotive repair industry. My dad is the only person that has changed my oil in the 5 years I've had my car so I was very hesitant taking it any where but I needed it done. I took my car here because they've helped out my roommate with her car so I thought to myself it's an oil change, I'm a few months over due, what the hell. I took it in on a Friday shortly after they opened and told them that I needed an oil changed and my fluids topped off and that I needed it by two (I work close so I was just to walk to work), he said okay and that it should be done by two. I came a little after two and they said that it wasn't finished and by wasn't finished they meant they hadn't started it. I told them that I needed to be somewhere soon, he told me to bring it by in the morning before work. I arrived before they opened on Saturday waited till they opened and the guy that was helping me the day before told me to give me the keys and I told him that I was off at three and it better be done by then. I got a call at 10 saying that my car was ready! Sweet, I was so happy!! I got it back and it was running just fine. A few days later my AC started feeling weird then soon after that my car started over heating. My dad and I popped opened my hood and noticed that my radiator cap was missing. It was there when I checked my oil a few weeks before I got the oil changed and radiator caps don't fall off. Who ever topped off my fluids forgot to put the flipping radiator cap on!!!!! How do you forget that!!! The coolant wasn't going through my car at all!! From now on my dad and I are the only ones changing my oil and topping off the fluids. I know not all places are like this but I will never trust anyone else to change my oil. And if you do get your oil changed here make sure they put everything back!!!! read more

Many of you are probably going here because of the Groupon, but I strongly advise that you don't fall for it - clearly this company is using Groupon as a means of only getting new customers (it's unlikely they have many repeat customers). All I wanted done was my brakes, which o guess they "technically" fixed them, though they seemed to care less about the concerns I had for my car - that is unless it meant I would pay more. I asked if they could check something and I shared the reason why, but the mechanic was clearly not giving any care to my problem. Of course when I mentioned I might want new tires, he couldn't shut his mouth. That wouldn't have bothered me much except that I get a call several hours later saying I need numerous other repairs to the vehicle - including 3 new tires (FYI, my tires are fine minus the damn nail I ran over. This can be fixed with a plug). So my $60 Groupon turned into an additional $800 in repairs that were "urgent". Fortunately I'm smart enough to know that my car did NOT need the repairs they stated were so important to fix. I just got my oil changed 2 months ago and everything was fine minus my brakes. Nice try Fletcher's! I did fall for the "upgraded ceramic pads" spiel and ended up paying an extra $60 for this on top of the groupon price. So much for a great deal. This was before the phone call I received when I realized how desperate this shop is to make some extra money. DO NOT GO HERE! Four months ago I brought my car to Fletcher's to have the brakes and rotors repaired. At that time they told me I needed the calipers replaced as well. Unfortunately, I was looking at an $800+ repair bill and really couldn't afford to have the calipers done. They did what they needed to do in the hopes I'd just waited too long to have my brakes replaced and sent me on my way. I should mention that the shop manager let me use his personal vehicle while my car was being worked on! Now, here it is April and my brakes have started making a really ugly noise again. Time to get those calipers done and thankfully, I can afford it now! So, I bring the Honda back in for the much needed attention. I was quoted $215 for both calipers total plus $100 in labor. Rotors are fine this time around! I also needed an oil change. I made a joke about throwing it in for free and much to my amazement the manager said, "You know, I can do that for you. Absolutely." That service is precisely why I bring my vehicles to Fletcher's and send my friends to them as well. In this day and age of service providers ripping their customers off to make a buck and giving crummy service, it's incredibly nice to know I have a phenomenal place to take my car when she's sick...where we'll BOTH get good service! I took my vehicle in to balance the tires & oil change. Got a call back from the manager & told that I need new tires & rear brakes as they are metal on metal. I told them just do the oil change & not to change the tires & rear brakes. He mentioned that my car is too dangerous to drive and suggested a tow truck for safety. I took my car to a friend who works with a reputable car shop, but unfortunately it's a little bit far from my home, and was told that I don't need new tires until another 10,000 miles & my rear brakes are just fine. I scheduled an appointment online so that I could take my Moms car for her to get an oil change and tire rotation. When I scheduled, ALL time slots were available to choose from. I received an email that showed the requested appointment time and on the email it said, " if we are unable to accommodate this request we will contact you directly to schedule another time." This appointment was made two days prior to the requested service date. I drove 45 minutes to get to my Moms, pick up her car, and get to the appointment time 15 minutes early. When I arrived I was told they did not have me on the schedule. I showed the employee the email I received and he said," you should have received another email to confirm the appointment." I explained the email did not say that and I was not contacted to reschedule as the email stated. I was told they did not have time to take the car! He could schedule me tomorrow. Why do you have an online scheduling feature that does not work? I drove around and got an oil change at Jiffy Lube and a tire rotation at Discount Tire. Since I did not have an appointment at either place it took over 6 hours of waiting at two different places. I will NEVER use FIRESTONE CAR CARE again. It has to do with customer service. Im am appalled with the service i received at your 40st and Chandler st location in Az. I made an appointment online for the following day, the easiest opening was 10am. The issue with my car was that it wasnt turning on, The next morning I got a call after 8am and was told that this location had too many appointments and that i should drop it off now and hopefully they can get to it today. I had someone start jump my car so that i can drop it off, after doing so I had to walk home, its very hot in az and walking a mile home was not planned. I got a call a couple hours later from your team and they told me it was my battery, to replace it would be over $350 with warrenty. Yikes, i decide to pick my car up and take it to autozone, i got a new battery with warrenty for a 3rd of that price. My car could now turn on but i couldnt accelerate it, i called firestone again and ask if they can re-diagnose the issue, they said to bring my car in. I drove it there and the guy at the desk said "we already checked your car, now its a dealers problem. There is nothing we can do for you. We cant check it, you have to take it to a dealer cause the problem isnt something we can solve." I felt that the reason he said this was because i decide to bypass their battery price even though i saved a lot of money for doing so. The guy wouldnt even look at my car, but couldnt tell me over the phone before coming in. I believe he did this intentionally. I found that to be unprofessional and Inconvenient.
