Not only did the store manager have the worst customer service, this man literally rolled his eyes at me. On top of that he charged 96.00 for a low end tire. His quote was completely off and when I asked for my tire back, he refused to work with me and give it back. I had no choice but to leave rather than stay and look like the bad guy. Unreal...I had an appt at 11am to have one tire fixed/replaced. They told me to come back at 4pm to pick it up. I just arrived (4:15pm) and they have yet to even look at my car. Been to this location 2 times and the guys are always able to get me in same for an oil change and get it done relatively quick. Last time I was in they also changed out a couple bulbs for me that I was having a hard time accessing and doing myself the cost for bulbs and installation where very reasonable. Do not use this place for car repair. I brought my vehicle to them to have my A/C fixed. I paid over $400 and picked up my vehicle. The A/C started acting up again less than 2 weeks later with the same problem. I brought the vehicle back for them to look at. They wanted to charge me an additional $500 to fix the A/C. They would not stand behind their original fix and make it right so I told them to forget it. I'll try to find an honest repair shop and have it checked there. read more

Fletcher's Tire and Auto is really great. Both my husband and I have used this place and had a great experience each time. I went in with a nail in my tire with my two little kids in tow. They had me in and out in 30 minutes at a very fair price. I was treated well, everything was explained and a price quoted upfront and they had me out the door super quick. I brought my vehicle to Fletcher's to have them check the Check Engine light. The supposedly checked the computer and received a code and it turned out my catalytic converter needed to be replaced. 2 days later, I got my vehicle back (other repairs were made as well with no problems). As I drove away from Fletcher's, my 2005 Xterra sounded like a 1970 VW BUG! LOUD! I brought it back and they looked at it once again and realized they forgot to put a piece back onto to the catalytic converter. Problem solved. One week later, Check Engine light comes on. Brought my vehicle back to have check engine light looked at once again. They explained to me that one of the O2 sensors needs replacing, and did not ever say that replacing all 4 would be best. I was told after the repair was made for nearly $500 that the check engine light "might" come back on as the other sensors may need replacing as well. How much, I asked...$1100. Got truck back, 1 day later...check engine light on. A friend and I decided to change the other 3 O2 sensors ourselves and the parts cost around $400 (parts, Chilton's book, and special socket rental). I called Fletcher's just to make sure which of the O2 sensors they changed so we don't change a new one and when I told them I was doing it myself, they said, "OH! Don't do that yourself!" They explained that doing this will mess with the computer and I'll get a code saying that I need a new catalytic convert....yeah, you guys already did that. He still insisted that I bring the vehicle back in for them to do to the tune of $1100. My buddy and I changed the O2 sensors ourselves in 2 hours, to the tune of $400. Saved $800. Check engine light has yet to come back on and I passed emissions. I learned an expensive lesson. I will not be going back to Fletcher's again. I give 2 stars because the other work they did to my car was without issues. read more

No extra charges or random things that need replaced( because I am a woman) like every place I've ever been to. I really appreciated their honesty. They did a fine job, but when they're aware you are there on a lunch break, it would make sense to try a little harder to finish in the time promised. The waiting room had a lackluster selection of crappy magazines and despite having a television, half of the channels were in Espanol. I've been coming to this shop for years and have always been happy but today whooooowie I was really pleased. I needed all new tires and an oil change. Turns out I needed more and I really appreciated the time they took to explain it. I found out later that they originally diagnosed a much worse problem but a second opinion saved me hundreds: that shows real integrity in my book. I bought a Groupon thinking it was a good deal for oil and brakes. Wrong! Ripoff! They charged extra for additional qts of oil and charged me for ceramic brakes because my car "needed" them. Regular brakes would have been fine. It was supposed to be a 3 hour job, but it was more 5 hours. So I paid the same price plus the cost of the Groupon. Stay away from this place. read more

I brought my 4-Runner with a screw in the left front tire back to the Fletcher's on 40th & Chandler where I had purchased all four tires a year or two prior. I waited while the manager behind the counter finished a personal call to explain my request for service. The manager didn't even try to get out from behind the counter to take a look, instead he suggested I take my business down the street to Discount Tire. Gotta admire the brutal honesty of a business so pathetic they actually recommend their direct competition rather than make an easy sell. So I took the suggestion, went to Discount where they correctly identified bad wear on both front tires (I hadn't rotated like I should have and expected this). I ended up deciding to replace all four tires. How much does Discount pay these guys for referrals? I can't believe it is enough to keep the doors open. read more

I am so pleased with the service I received. I called at 6pm on a Saturday, right at closing time, to see if I could still get a new tire put on my rim, as my old one had just blown and I did not have a spare. Lost a star for taking 4 days for a 1day job (their guaranteed time estimate, not mine). Another star for messing w my motor when I didn't take it in for the motor. Another for telling me my car will be fine to drive over night without a headlight. Another star for not looking at something that goes with what I was asking about and then refusing to warranty the parts I paid for if I didn't get this third $220 part. Really nice people, I got a great deal until all these unexpected extras. Too bad I most likely won't be coming back here. I took my car home that night and got stuck waiting 2.5 hours for a tow becuz of some loud rattling noise from the bottom. Tow truck guy came and fished out a 2 ft wrench looking thing from under my motor. Took it back to Fletcher's to tell them and return the wrench when my check engine soon light came on. They told me my car had to "relearn" itself and its fine to drive. I took it to the dealership today to find out I needed a 25 cent part for my headlight, not a $500+ part and a computer adjusting. I definitely won't be going back unless something else happens that may be their fault but I doubt they'll fix it for free. I would take the last star away if I could read more

This shop sucks! My Mom took her car in for an oil change, tire rotation, and a tune up. When she left in her car, it all of a sudden was extremely hard to steer. So she goes back the following day thinking my her tire rotation is the problem, but no it gets worse. After their non-skilled Mechanic says her power steering has issues now, mind you it was working perfectly fine before they were under the hood of the car. Also that it would cost $700 plus just to repair. Clearly they purposely tried to over charge her, as well as caused damage to her car and didn't own up to it. read more

I've had my oil changed at Fletcher's Auto twice now. It has been a good experience both times (especially since we catch lunch al Los Dos Molinos while waiting). The most recent time I decided to upgrade my oil from a petrol/synth blend to full synthetic for an up charge since my car seems to put on miles more quickly than I have time to stop in. This'll allow me to cut my oil changes in half or not go so far over the recommended mileage. Every 6k seems more reasonable. However, this time I discovered that my oil was overfilled. Having been prompted by a text about reviewing Fletcher's Auto, I checked the oil and windshield washer fluid levels, which was not topped off, as they said they do. I promptly took the car back in and they were happy to drain and refill my oil with fresh synthetic, update my reminder sticker to reflect the current mileage and add the washer fluid. I would like to give them 5 stars for making good on this mistake, but, I really shouldn't have to even check their work at all. I'm going to keep taking my car there for oil changes. It was an honest mistake and they handled it professionally. read more

Used a groupon here, they attempted to up sell me on ceramic brakes for an extra 80$ or else I could not use the groupon. Ridiculous and rude advisors who argued with me and told me to come pick my car up. They eventually made me pay 3$ to fulfill the groupon for just a resurfacing of brakes. ***FRAUD FRAUD*** UNPROFESSIONAL ** RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE***** I had a gas or oil smell coming from the engine side so, I went to this location ask them to diagnose the issue. Your mechanic called me said we have to check the fuel tank, initial testing fee is $40 + tax. I agreed to pay but I told him smell is coming from the engine "why you want to check the fuel tank? " Later they quoted me $989.89 for replacing the fuel pump. I declined the service. When I went to pickup the vehicle they charge me $47.71. When I checked my car I found 2 gasket on the seat floor. I went back showed them one. He said "They will put back in " . Your mechanic took the car and returned in less than 5 minutes. I asked the front desk guy, How can they fix the gasket in less than 5 minutes? I went to the car I found the gasket lying on the floor, they did not do anything "your mechanic threw away my gasket" just returned the car to me. I showed the gasket to the front desk guy. Gasket has 5 screws they can not fix it in 5 min this is ridiculous. Now I am getting bad smell when I am driving on the road it is coming from the fuel tank cover seal. I want full refund I am going to dispute the charges. Other mechanic said only cleaning required for the engine there was oil on bottom side, We cleaned it now there is no smell from the engine . Your company mechanics are not doing the right job. Called the customer service on 10/18/16 , called me and he was rude and said I will send you refund in a week but I did not receive so far. Nove 9th I called the customers service left message , I got call back on 11/10/16 By Dan, he said they will look in to it and call me back but I never got call back or received any refund. This Flecher's Tire & Auto chandler is doing wrong full business, to fix my car I have to buy the gasket it costs me around $150 . Still I have the gasket in my car seat. read more

I had my Toyota in for a water pump replacement, which it needed. It started leaking after a few days. I took it back and they replaced it no charge, luckily I hadn;t planned any long driving trips. Guy at front counter wasn't too concerned and was trying to sell me on other maintenance. No thanks, I have lost my confidence in their work and won;t be back. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Contrary to what one employee said to me, my name is not Darling, my car's fluids are not disgusting, and the man who held the job before him is not a failure. Since 2009 until about 12 months ago, the previous guy was always respectful and explained the work my car needed so that I could make an informed decision. I witnessed the current guy hang up on a customer and laugh, saying, "They'll call back." I won't. I trusted my gut and took my car elsewhere. Turns out it didn't need what they said it did. I WAS a regular customer in here ..along with my daughter, everyone has always been very friendly at this store until today ...this guy must be new cause his customer service skills are a zero star!! I arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment he explains he can't get it in early... whatever ..,I ask how long will it take once you bring it in he copped an attitude about having to give me an answer then stated 1 hr ...I tossed the keys on the counter annoyed that he couldn't answer a simple question then he proceeded to continue to argue with me and told me "if I didn't like it there was another firestone up the street" then Turned to his coworker and said I have 7 cars before hers to do... now correct me if I'm wrong but how is he going to do 7 cars in 30 minutes to meet my appointment time ... I walked out at that point I'm not sitting hours to wait for someone who has no time management skills and definetly not letting an employee with a bad attitude work on my car ! he is the wrong line of work he needs to be assigned to a position where he has zero contact with customers!!!! ... This place is not worth the hassle, when you walk in there, expect that no one will acknowledge you for the first 15 minutes that you're standing there, an oil change that was supposed to be completed by noon... wasn't completed until closing, even after repeated phone calls. A random pair of keys was left behind in my vehicle, which I had to go return, I would imagine the owner of the vehicle wasn't happy that their keys were missing. I also would like to tell people don't take your car to Fletchers on chandler and 40th st. I posted earlier about the rude treatment at Greulich, while I was treated nicely at fletchers they charged me a fortune for parts that a real mechanic said would rarely all go bad at the same time. I had my egr replaced on Monday by my boyfriend and when we took it to fletchers they said it was defective and they gave me a hard time about giving me the egr we just put in so I could take back to O'Reilly, they put in a factory piece that cost 2x as much, and when they showed us the egr, it was clearly broken but it wasn't that way 2 days earlier. I feel they were on a fishing expedition on my dime and when I picked it up it ran worse than it did when I took it there and a new code came up, they said you need a new fuel pump which was replaced 2 weeks ago, I asked if that was the problem why didn't the code come up then, he said I don't know but maybe you should replace spark plugs. Don't you think that would have been the first thing they did instead they replaced every sensor which cost me almost $1000, they are crooks I am reporting them to the better business Bureau read more

I made an appointment for an oil change/service package that I purchased on Groupon. I showed up. No appointment scheduled. The rude guy at the front desk said, "well we can see you but it will take about an hour and a half since you don't have an appointment." (Remember.... I DID have an appointment). My response? "Ok no problem". Him: That service comes with the replacement of your air filter. Me: ok awesome. After over an hour of waiting he comes to me and says "we don't have your air filter in stock....we are getting it from another location so it will be at least another hour." Me: uhhhhh ok? .....then after waiting another hour I overhear the guy from the garage come in and say "we don't have her air filter....we would have to order it from the dealer if she wants that done." (At this point I'm thinking he is gonna call me up to discuss this with me.) Nope. Now my car is parked at the curb as if it's done. But I know it isn't because we haven't had the conversation about the air filter. I wait another 40 minutes. I've been here WAY LONGER than expected. I go up. He ignores me. I ask if my car is done. He looks at me with his eyes but doesn't move his head position from the computer. He said "ya it's ready....it's been ready." WTH?! So I said, "did you get the air filter done?" He said, "ohhh....so funny story about the air filter....we can't get it." I am waiting thinking he will offer me a time to come back when he CAN get it. Nope. Silence. I looked at him and asked what I paid for then. He said I paid for an oil change. I explained I bought it because it can't with a "service package". He said "uhhhh ya....well if you want you can bring it by sometime to see if we have the filter in yet." IS THIS GUY AN IDIOT?! I Would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Oh and just for the record, THEY ARE GOING TO ORDER AND REPLACE MY AIR FILTER! They just don't know it yet. I'm calling the manager. Let's hope he isn't the manager! Absurdly incompetent! read more

After 8 successful years of service with Fletcher's Tire and Auto Service on Chandler Blvd in Ahwatukee, it saddens me to say it has come to a screeching halt. Over the years my wife and I have taken both our vehicles to this location for oil changes, as well as many different types of auto repair. We have appreciated their great communication, honesty and most importantly their above and beyond customer service. As of today, this is no longer the case! We are not 100% sure what has caused these drastic changes; the new employee at the front desk doesn't know and the seasoned mechanic we grew to love has left the company. We dropped our vehicle off Friday morning right when the doors opened. The following issues were to be addressed: Starting ability - brought it in several months ago for same problem, however nothing found. Advised to keep driving and bring back if continues. Oil Change, Power Door on passenger side - having issues with closing. Already repaired once, however may need to address different part and a short in A/C panel -rear A/C unit experiences a delay after you turn it on. The first issue is obviously the most important! Fletcher's contacted me around noon on Friday, however it seems the call was premature as not all issues on the ticket had been addressed. This would be the ONLY call I received from Fletcher's throughout this fiasco. At 2:30pm I called to check in, as I had not heard back regarding any updates on what had been found. I was informed they were still troubleshooting, however still had quite a bit of time left before closing and not to worry. At 5:00pm and still no word, I made a final call to confirm the obvious; Fletcher's would need to keep the vehicle for another day. I was informed they had completed the oil change, however were still troubleshooting the other items. In past experience, we leave our vehicle all day and within 4 to 5 hours of drop off we receive some type of update. When my wife inquired further about the lack of communication and no indication of cost for any of the work requested, she was informed, " My mechanics have other cars they need to work on as well and can't just work on your car." Fletcher's advised they would be in touch in Saturday morning by 10:00am. On Saturday morning at 10:45am I decided to call Fletcher's, as I had not received a call. We made the decision to drive to Fletcher's and speak face to face regarding our concerns about the starting issue. The front desk seemed very eager to explain the repairs for the A/C, however we made it clear, although that repair needs to be made our biggest concern is the STARTING ISSUE! We asked about the tests that had been done on the starting system. The person behind the counter assured us they had run numerous diagnostics on the starting system, fuel system and battery system. Our frustration grew as this was the second time Fletcher's would address the issue and again could not find the problem. It didn't help that one of their technicians had experienced the issue, however due to being just the "Lube" guy, he couldn't help the mechanic. At this point the mechanic came out of the garage to speak with us. I asked the mechanic and the person behind the counter if they understood there was an issue with our vehicle's starting system. They said they understood there is an issue , but they cannot find the cause. Why would I bring my vehicle back to Fletcher's if I have zero confidence they can fix what is wrong? I ask, "Are you telling me you do not have the ability to fix what is wrong with my vehicle and we should go elsewhere?" They stated, "Yes". The counter person during the course of this discussion made several comments regarding my perception as the customer and how I was not correct in my understanding of the situation. I tried to remind him I am the customer and therefore my perception is what I perceive. It became apparent the person behind the counter was a waste of time! The mechanic told me in many instances Fletcher's is not able to resolve issues regarding the computer involved systems; proprietary to the manufacturer. There are certain things beyond Fletcher's ability to resolve. I thanked him for that piece of information and wish I had been informed of this initially. Had he not provided this bit of information I would still be in the dark today. The mechanic asked me to step outside, where he expressed his apologizes while shaking his head. It was evident Fletcher's had made some changes and NOT for the better! I paid for the oil change and diagnostics tests. I expressed my displeasure and asked if Fletcher's cared about losing two loyal customers. The person at the front desk said, " You are choosing to leave. " We are now shopping for a new service provider and continue to share our experience. read more

I took my car in for 2 front tires. When I left I asked how long he said he didn't know. Called 2 hours later and the guy said yes you need 2 front tires?! Ya - I knew that. Then he proceeded to quote me a $650 price. No I just want to get the 2 tires and was quoted 2 days ago at $175 out the door. He said ok and could have it completed by lunch time that I confirmed would be done at 12pm. When I got there at 11:45 the car had not even been moved into the garage. I asked for my keys back and went to Discount tire and had the tires replaced in an hour for less than the $175 and paid for the full warranty. I will never ever go here again! I was thinking of having my other car repaired here depending on my service and they failed miserably! read more

Groupon for oil change is a HUGE SCAM! I wound up paying an extra $17 for 1 qt extra oil and "shop supplies" and taxes on a $14 oil change. The group never stated there was a limit on the amount of oil (5 Qts). My car takes 6 qts. No fine print on this anywhere!. $6.50 for 1 extra qt of regular oil or $20 for 1 qt synthetic oil...RIPOFF! I usually go to Midas or Brakes Plus and pay less than $20 for an oil change with a coupon and there are NO hidden fees! DON"T GO TO THIS PLACE! read more
