As others have said working with a store manager, Daniel, who is honest, reliable, fair, and not ripping you off is very refreshing. I'm not sure who others worked with, but Daniel offered alignment very reasonably for my four new tires, which were priced lower than Costco, Discount Tire, and Walmart. The auto repair biz is a tough one! Cant make everyone happy all the time and that even includes me. Sometimes I DO NOT get the news I want to hear but thats not the fault of the service provider. Darren has always been very helpful and accommodating. The Manager above him, Shawn H. Is wonderful. I have always had great luck in dealing with this company. I dont expect a "warm fuzzy feeling" in dealing with anyone so that's not what I look for. I expect honestly and straight talk and the bottom line. Tats what I get from Darren and the guys here. If I could give ZERO stars I would. I just moved to this area from Ahwatukee and this is my second time coming to this location and THEY ARE THE WORSE. The last time I came for an oil change they told me it was a three hour wait. Today he told me I had 10 people in front of me. I spoke to this Derrick guy and he's rude and unprofessional and lazy. He gave me every reason in the world for why I should come back, why I should leave my car or why it's not good to come on Saturday. I kept saying to him "I need an oil change" like regardless of what ur saying I still need an oil change. When I was in Ahwatukee I purchased this "Family Plan" that gives you so many free oil changes and discounts etc. That was great when I lived in Ahwatukee because the Fletcher's out there was AWESOME. However here. I hate it. If I it wasn't for the "Family Plan" I wouldn't ever come here for service. Ever. As soon as this runs out I will never return. Mesa, 83rd ave and 51st ave Never go to Fletcher Automotive... They have no clue what they are doing, screw up more than they fix, and won't cover their screw ups!!!! Took it once for something minor (freeze plug on side) They replaced the wrong one then tried to charge me 300+ to fix the correct one. simple replacement of power steering and they screwed up the pitman arm, stripped the bolts from the power steering, didn't put any in the back, lost the fan shroud, broke the elec fan housing, kinked the new hoses I bought, and screwed up the steering so it only turns 20 degrees to the left and 45 to the right. Admitted on the phone they didn't know what they were doing and needed to take is somewhere else. read more

The Fletcher's at 12th and Bell is HORRENDOUS!! I usually have great experiences around the valley, but I took my car in to get an oil change and brake work. It turns out they found four things wrong, totaling over $500. I dropped my car off at 8:30 am and they informed me of the work needed by noon. I didn't think much of it. They told me that because they had to get some of the parts, my car wouldn't be done until noon the next day (he said noon at the latest). Later, when I stopped by the shop to get my house key I had mistakenly given them, they said nothing about the progress of my car. I called the next morning at 10 am to verify that I should come pick my car up around noon when the mechanic said he hasn't done anything on my car and there's no way it would have been done by noon. He said he can try to get it done by 5:30 pm. I decided I would just take it elsewhere. They called me back around 10:20 and confirmed I didn't want the work done but I'd have to pay a "docking fee" for the mechanic putting my car up to work on it. I told them there's no way I was paying. I told them I didn't want them to work on it and then they started?! When I went to pick up my car at 11, they told me I was just too impatient and if I had left them alone to do the work, my car would have been finished by now. Riddle me that: they would do 6 hours worth of work within 45 minutes? When I asked him that, he said no, it's noon now and two hours would have been enough. I showed him the clock that said 11 and he told me we were never going to agree. Clearly not, sir. You are incompetent. Update: I took my car to a different mechanic where I found out that I only actually needed rear brake pads, one new rotor, an oil change, and a gasket cover (??). He said the other guy was lying about half the work he said needed to be done. Fletcher's on 12th and Bell wanted to charge me $600 for the work but the other mechanic got me in and out for $200. read more

I bought a Groupon for this location for an oil change and tire rotation. Got the oil change, of course they came back saying everything was wrong with my car. But what really pissed me off was that they said my cabin air filter was dirty and I had just changed it at an Auto Zone before my appointment. So I knew they were completely bullshitting me, and just trying to sell me everything. And on top of that, they said they couldn't rotate my tired because I needed new ones anyway. So I didn't even get what I paid for out of the Groupon!! Needless to say, I made an appointment at Discount Tire while they were finishing up with my car and am NEVER GOING BACK TO THAT LOCATION. Dear Consumer and Fletchers Tire & Auto, I purchased a lifetime oil change from Fletchers auto. When purchased I was told all fluids would be topped off if needed and tires rotated each time. I went into the Gilbert store today and received a hassle by the manager (BRANDON). When I arrived I asked if I could get an oil change, tire rotation, have my fluids topped off (I knew the washer fluid was low because my washer lamp was on) and my rear brakes checked. Brandon said he could do that and took my keys. After about a half an hour they pulled my vehicle in. Brandon came out to the waiting room and asked if I had purchased my tires at Fletchers. I told him I had not and he then told me since I had not purchased them at Fletchers he would not rotate them. This upset me since I had entered into a contract in which I paid for a service that included tire rotation. Brandon was comfortable arguing with me in front of all the customers there today. Finally he gave in and told me he would do it this time.... Why only this time when I paid for a rotation and was told I could get them rotated at each oil change and I had not had them rotated for at least the last two times. I felt very uncomfortable and was clearly upset during the whole time the oil change was being done. Brandon came up to me when it was finished and said my vehicle was done and I could leave and sharply said "unless I wanted a receipt". Of course I wanted a receipt, why wouldn't I? I left upset, my fluids were not topped off and brakes not checked. They wanted me out so fast I did not even get a reminder sticker for my windshield letting me know when my next oil change was due. Why does Fletchers think it is ok to refuse me a service I paid for? The service I get from Fletchers Auto is not what I expected when I purchased my lifetime oil change. Desired Outcome: I am only asking that I get what I paid for. I would like a letter from the owner that I can show to any future employee's that try and refuse any services I have paid for. The letter should state that I get a synthetic blend oil and filter, all fluids topped off if low, and tires rotated each time I get an oil change. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I had a good experience at this Fletchers. We brought our SUV in for a full inspection since we had just purchased it and it was used. We knew it had some issues due to it's age and wanted to ensure it was fit for driving. The person we got it from said he did all the oil changes himself regularly and maintained it the best he could. After the Fletchers inspection they did find that most of the regular maintenance items were in great shape as the previous owner had told us... so points for Fletchers for not trying to sell us something we didn't need. We also noticed that the AC wasn't really as cold as we thought it should be... Fletchers suggested a minor repair and added dye to the AC for us to watch. He said if it starts to not blow cold again then bring it back and they would be able to find any leaks that appear. At the end of the day we did have a lengthly list of items that need to be repaired or that will need service soon... he suggested some items we could do ourselves over a weekend as well. So yes, we had to invest into our car for some repairs but overall I feel they were honest about what we really needed, what we could wait on and what we could do ourselves. They also completed all the work in 2 days. He also found some specials for us and saved us about $100. read more

I've taken my vehicle to Fletchers about 5 to 6 times for water pumps, steering pumps, and oil changes. The only thing they can do properly is oil changes and even with that I've had some issues. They charge prices like they are installing OEM parts but the parts are 3rd party and break after 2-3 months. I would not recommend this place. Find somewhere else that knows what they are doing and cares about quality work and service. read more

A few weeks ago I came here to have an alignment, because someone hit a curb in my car and my tire was wobbling pretty bad. they did the alignment but that didn't fix the problem. Well as it turned out I needed a new wheel because the old one was bent. I drive a mini cooper, and they didn't have the wheel for it so they told me to go ahead and buy it (I bought it online) and they would install it for me. What I didn't realize until I took it there for the installation was that they were going to do it free of charge. I think these guys are great. I have only had positive experiences here. I'm grateful for the Groupons.. I could afford to get both front & rear brakes done and they'll always fit me in anytime to check my tire pressure, or fluid levels. And they've always been very nice. My dads mechanic normally works on my vehicle but since I have moved I have not found a decent shop to bring my vehicle until fletchers. I brought it in for a simple oil change and of course the 2 salesman showed me several other things that my car was having issues with. I didn't have a whole lot of money to thrown down so he broke down what could waited to be fixed and what needed to be fixed immediately for my safety. He also took the time to explain what synthetic oil was and how it would benefit me in the long run. The salesman Brent really took his time with me and even gave me a small discount on the more expensive oil!!!! I really appreciated the honesty with Fletchers and the ability to help me out so my car could get what it needed! The wait time was also not to bad, I walked to the bakery and had a snack and hung out for a bit and it was done in a decent time. read more

I had to run here on lunch to get my oil changed and 2 tires replaced before i left on a trip the next day to Flagstaff and i couldnt be happier. The people i spoke with over the phone were very accomodating gave me a great price and most importantly got me in and out on time to work. I really must say i will go back here again when i get my brakes done, as well any other routine maintence im too lazy to do myself, and back to the tires they beat the price on tires for the same tire everywhere else and had them in stock for me the same day! read more

I will not use Firestone again and would not trust this place. I took my car in and had my battery replaced at Firestone in April 2017. The battery died, 17 months later, so I took it back because it was still under the two year warranty. The guy at Firestone told me that my battery did not come from this shop, and that the battery their computer showed they had replaced in my car was a different brand. I have not had my battery replaced since Firestone. The date sticker on the battery even showed it was made 03/17. They would not honor the warranty because they told me my battery came from somewhere else. They were quick to dismiss me instead of trying to figure out what happened. read more

I usually hate getting oil changes due to all the upselling. However, I had a much different experience at Fletcher's Auto on 12th and E. Bell Rd. The "Brake Fluid Low" notification came on my dashboard so when I took it in to have my oil changed I mentioned the warning light. The manual says low brake fluid is usually because the brake lining is wearing down so I asked Fletcher's to repair the brakes the same day. I was expecting to have a repair bill, but to my surprise they checked my brakes and they were fine! I appreciated their honesty and they have won my business for sure. read more

Absolutely horrible horrible horrible decision to go to Fletchers! I should have checked yelp in the first place, but saw a Groupon that seemed like a decent deal and thought I would give them a try. The worst customer service imaginable, just plain rude in every way possible. I had to schedule an appointment for almost a week out, then when I arrived they didn't even bring my car in for over 3 hours, so who knows why an appointment was even set in the first place, then 3 hours after finally bringing my car in I'm still sitting there waiting around for them to finish (routine work - 1 hour tops at any normal location). They fought with me over what was included in the Groupon, even though it was clearly stated, and never did honor fully what was paid for. On top of that they claimed my brake type wasn't supported and charged an extra $60 on top of what was already paid, even though there was no listing anywhere in the Groupon that said that. I am going to Groupon now to try and report them as a scam company and get a credit. AVOID FLETCHERS!! Save yourself the time and hassle!!! read more

Take our cars here for years with no problems but have now had 3 incidents of them fraud. Took cars in for oil change - two separate occasions they called me claiming something needed to be repaired. Really? That's interesting because I just got that replaced at AutoZone a couple weeks ago! Third incident, they claimed I needed a new, expensive repair that had to be done but would last the life of the car. Okay, did it. Went home & kept thinking something sounded familiar. If only I could give them a negative 3 stars. i took my truck in to get a simple front end alignment had an appointment for 8 am Saturday waited 3.5 hrs and to my surprise they had returned my vehicle in WORSE conditions then when I brought it in. not only was the alignment way off but they stripped some bolts on my upper passenger control arms and left them loose on the driver's side. this was incredibly noticeable the moment I drove out of the parking lot. when making a turn onto the street my truck made a loud popping noise and jolted the steering wheel both which had NEVER occurred before. I returned to Fletchers informing them of the terrible job their Mechanic had done and the worsened conditions they had left my vehicle in. the managers response was that he himself had "accidentally" stripped them trying to remove them. then the mechanic proceeded to inform me that my break line was leaking, again an issues I've never had with my breaks. I requested they replace the bolts with new ones seeing as they were in good condition before Fletchers had worked on them. The manager agreed to replace the bolts and correct the popping noise on the vehicle however they would not be able to fix their mistake that same day due to an overflow of pending vehicles that also needed to be worked on. They told me I had to return on Monday to pick up the new parts and the following Saturday for them to actually do the replacements and repairs. Over the weekend i had noticed brake fluid on my front passenger rim so i traced the leak to a line that was a loose and again I've never had issues with this before meanwhile my truck had occasionally popped and jolted, when I had gone in on Monday to pick up the parts the manager then told me that the district manager had advised them to not have my truck worked on at this location and that I needed to go to another Fletchers Throughout the week, my truck went from occasionally popping to doing it constantly. It was so bad I had to check the truck out myself to see what could be causing the noises and jolts. This is where i discovered the bolts being loose to the touch. It amazes me that Fletchers has such incompetent people working for them. They are supposed to be knowledgeable, experienced professionals and instead are a bunch of idiots who put a person's life at risk. They have agreed to "fix"any mistakes they made, however I am not willing to risk any more damage done to my truck and instead will take it to a real professional. I do not recommend anyone use Fletchers. It seems the reason they are still in business is because their costumers are forced to return to get their vehicle's problems fixed that were initially incurred by Fletchers mechanics . read more

Called got a 600.00 estimate with labor included on car repair. Told them I would be bringing my car to the shop in a couple of days. Brought car, told them I had a estimate given to me and the store manager brings it up in the computer and says it will be a few minutes it was deleted sorry about that. So I waited. Then tells me its going to be 158.00 more than what I was quote. Plus he said he has to call dealership for part so its even more. He even said he helped the guy so part of the estimate but when I told him rich quoted me 600.00 he says I don't know how he got that number. Let me share an experience from today (04/23/18); brought my car in to have a tire patched (slow leak). 3-4 hr wait. Was told that Firestone only covered 12,000 mi or 12 mos on tire warranties from Fletcher's which Firestone obtained apprx 2 yrs ago. Tires are still inside 40k mi warranty, but outside the 12 mo time/12K mi window's. Finally, the service advisor got off his duff and went outside to check the tire. When he came back, I was told "I can't patch that tire because it has a wear ring that indicates possible internal damage to the blackwall" Me: "A what? So I have to drive with a slow leaking tire?" He: "I can fill with air" The SA gave me a quote for 168.33 for replacement tire. Frustrated, I left. On a whim, I wound up at Discount Tire about a mile closer to home. The store Manager Chris walked me out to inspect the tire and found a torn/chafed valve stem. He checked the other 3 and they were in the same condition. I walked out of the store about 1.5 hrs later with 4 new valve stems + tire balance for 20.00 At no time did a Discount Tire service tech inform me of any "damage ring". I suppose it's possible if the rim rides on the tire long enough to cause outside blackwall damage. But geezus...... If don't mind wasting your hard earned cash on goods or services you don't need, then by all means, visit this Firestone Complete Auto Rip-off, I mean Care. Otherwise, visit Discount Tire. My NEW tire place. Discount Tire is more interested in making a new customer into an old customer. read more

Absolute rip off place, car died and they offered to fix every possible thing for 900$, and I took it to Atac instead and they found the specific problem and fixed it for cheap. Fuel injector flush was offered for 60$ from Fletcher's, I did it myself for 5$. I purchased a Groupon for a brake job and oil change and set up a scheduled appointment as per the instructions. Fletcher's Tires said the the car would be ready in 2 hours, but would call as soon as they were able to get it into an open bay to go over any details. 2 hours later I was told that they could not do the brake job because my tires were getting worn. ( so basically a tire shop refused to do a brake job unless I purchased new tires) It took Fletcher's Tires 2 hours ( the time I was told the whole job would take) to refuse to honor the Groupon I had purchased for their services. I drove to Discount Tires, where I had purchased my tires, and was informed that I could easily wait another 4-6 months before needing new tires. Fletcher's Tires ( 12th Street and Bell Rd) is exactly the kind of "scam" auto shop that we have all heard stories about ripping people off. I am currently trying to resolve the issue with Groupon. So, I made an appointment and promptly arrived on time. They promptly made me wait a half hour before my car even got into the bay. About a week later my check engine light goes on. I take my car to my mechanic. They forgot to reconnect a hose. Good work guys! I wouldn't even stop here again to use the bathroom. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had in the Auto service industry. I made an appointment for an oil change with a Groupon coupon I had purchased. My appointment was at 9am and I arrived on time. I asked how long it might be and was told an hour. I sat down in the waiting room with three other individuals who had arrived prior to me. The one gentleman was in for a tune up, one gal to have her breaks checked and another woman to get her brake pads replaced. Two hours and fifteen minutes later the four of us are still sitting there with no news or updates on our vehicles. The breaks checked gal decides she will need to come again another day and when she tells the clerk this he says, "Are you sure? We are about to pull your car in now." The break pads woman left after 3.5 hours. At 11:15 am the clerk comes to tell me that they did not have the correct oil filter for my car so they have ordered one but he doesn't feel comfortable letting me leave with the current one installed and asks if I can wait another 15 minutes. I reply by stating that I don't feel that I have a choice. At 12:54 he comes to tell me my car is ready. (What happened to 15 minutes?) He offers me six free oil change coupons for the inconvenience and states that "it doesn't normally take this long." Yet everyone else in the waiting room had been waiting nearly as long for their minor services as well. Four hours for an oil change? No offer to take me home, no communication as to what was taking so long, no honest apologies - just an offer to come back for free oil changes. Free or not, my time is worth more than that. I was not pleased when I left to get into my car to find my keys were dirty with a black residue and so was my steering wheel, emergency break and shifter. Yuck! I had to clean me and the inside of my car after my visit. I was sorely disappointed. read more

One of the worst experiences I've had in a long time with a business. I purchased tires from them with their warranty about 6 months ago. Three months ago one of the tires had a leak. They repaired the tire and sent me on my way after leaving the car there from 10am, they finish repairing the tire at 4 pm. A few weeks later the leak is back. They repair it again, this time I drop it off at 8am and they still finish at 3pm.. Another two weeks and the leak comes back again. Finally they are willing to order a new tire. It takes them two months to get the tire, with me calling them every week to check if it's in. It's funny how when I first wanted to buy the tires they were able to get it the next day, but when they need to stand by their replacement warranty, it takes 2 months. Finally they get it and I drop the car off at 11am on a Wednesday. They do not finish with my car until 3:30pm. I'm pretty sure it doesn't take four and a half hours to change a tire. Will never do business with them again and will warn everyone I know about them. read more

Don't be fooled! The manager at this location seems very caring and helpful, but in reality their service and workmanship are HORRIBLE. I have learned over time that everything they did for my son's car either needed to be redone or they flat out lied and didn't even perform the service I paid for. Things were installed incorrectly so that other problems would occur. Through negligence they broke the rack and pinion steering that they had to replace in doing so they installed it incorrectly so that it broke the power steering line and then had the nerve to tell me that it was normal wear and tear. None of the bolts were tightened down correctly which has caused steering and alignment issues. The entire time this unscrupulous business and manager were acting like we were a priority to them and that they pride themselves on safety. What a load of BS! I wouldn't trust this autoshop with even the smallest repair or oil change! ABSOLUTE CROOKS! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. It's not just bad service (and read the reviews, the service is beyond bad, it's insulting) these people are CROOKS. I used to live near one of these places and took my car in for an oil change and to have a squeaky belt replaced. I was told my car needed over $600 of service (too long a list to type here) and that "All my belts" needed changing. I said, "Oh, really" All of them?" And the mechanic replied "Yes, you should do all of them at once, and it's $375." People, my car has ONE belt. I took it to my regular mechanic and he installed it for free (it took about 10 minutes, and he charged me $20 for the belt!) along with replacing the old oil filter Fletcher's left on the car. I first went to Fletcher's for a groupon, then enrolled with the loyalty program for the oil changes. My first couple experiences were good, at the 35th Ave and Union Hills location, and Tatum and Cactus. My last experience at 1141 E Bell Rd was so bad, we will never be returning again. I witnessed the employees having a heated argument, then an employee was so rude to an elderly customer that I nearly walked out. This was my impression in the ten minutes of arriving. After the oil change,they tried to tell me I needed service that I didn't need at all. So I took my car to my regular mechanic the following week only to find that the oil filter wasn't even tightened. It leaked oil and could have severely damaged my car.
