This Firestone has been nothing but fantastic to me, so it pains me to see all the negative reviews. I have been visiting this Firestone since moving back to AZ in 2021 and they have been nothing but helpful. This should never have to be true but unfortunately it is, being a female, many places have tried to nickel and dime me, but daddy taught me a few things about cars. I don't even know where to begin! Skyler and his crew went above and beyond. Brought my BMW in on Monday for a coolant leak. They ordered the part, kept the vehicle overnight and had it ready to go by the promised time on Tuesday. Unfortunately they found another leak. The vehicle was left for another night while Skyler and his guys troubleshot everything possible. Unable to locate the source, my vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. Firestone worked with the towing company for a seamless handoff. They easily could've charged me for the countless hours of labor however the invoice was extremely reasonable. I usually take my BMW to a different Firestone but I will surely be bringing it back to this location! read more

We have been going here for a few years, but we are done now. We needed a new battery and decided to go ahead and get the oil changed while we were at it. The price for both was crazy, but that was our choice. That was yesterday. We woke up this morning to a driveway full of oil. There were no oil stain in our driveway before. We took our vehicle back. It was a gasket that hadn't been tightened. We asked for some of our $100+ oil change to be returned as well as something to clean our driveway. Eventually, we were given a coupon for an oil change next time and told to buy kitty litter to clean up the mess. Accidents happen. That's not the issue. The issue is Firestone not taking responsibility for it. read more

One of my tires got bit by a nail and was slowly deflating. I called Firestone and got an appointment first thing the next morning. They got the car right in and I left it. They communicated with me throughout the day and were so friendly and great to deal with. The car was ready in no time with a new tire at a very reasonable price. It was very hot out that day and yet they completed the work with a smile. Zach at this location is a gem and great to deal with. I am a long-time customer of Firestone and will always be back. Went in to see about changing out the spark plugs in my car, a 4 cylinder. Was quoted $425.00 out the door. Needless to say I walked out, not my fault that COVID shut so many businesses down. The consumer shouldn't have to make up for their losses. Ended up buying the plugs, $36.00, and did it with a friend who had the tools. Paid him $50.00 for his time. Posting yet another update to my review. I contacted the corporate line because of how utterly unsafe my experience was. Corporate gave me a file number and told me the district manager would contact me within 48 hours.. 4 days later I finally called with my reference number wondering why they hadn't reached out to me. Not only did they put my phone number in the complaint wrong (even though it's correct in their system) they told me it was still open and no updates - even though the original said it would only be 48 hours. We are now over a week later and still not heard from the district manager or corporate... do better. read more

Went in with a flat and 3 days later I finally have my van back. They called and told me the flat was not repairable so I said put on 2 new ones. They said it would be ready that afternoon No call and not ready. They did not answer when I called. So I tried again in the morning and still no answer. So I went over and got a sob story. I had a nail in my tire and needed to be patch because I didn't feel safe driving to to work from north Phoenix to van burden and 61st ave. I go to the nearest tire shop where I live off bell and 12th st. Go in hoping it'd get done and I didn't mind waiting either. Instead the guy told me sorry we're all booked today and won't be able to get you in until tomorrow afternoon. So I look at him and tell him, "seriously you expect me to drive around until tomorrow with a nail in my tire and have it blow up while I'm driving?" I'm just appalled that a tire shop business will even allow that to happen. So I tell the guy you know what I'm just gonna take my business else where. So I called up discount tire down the street like a mile away and they took me in right away and didn't even charge me for it. Never going to a Firestone ever again. Talk about horrible service I went in to the store at 9:25, waited until the heavyset old guy with grey hair got off the phone, asked him how much it would cost for an oil change, he told me there was nothing he could do for me today. I just left and the guy at the counter told me my oil change for my 2015 jeep renegade was going to be $102 be my oil was 5w 40 full synthetic. I told that was only for the 1.4 turbo and let him know my engine was the 2.4 4 cylinder that takes 0w 20. He proceeded to tell me I was wrong and that's what he has in his data base so it will cost me over $100 for the oil change. He either was going to put the wrong oil in my vehicle or he was gonna charge me for the wrong oil and put the right one in. My car battery had died in the Frys parking lot just half a mile up the road and after I was able to get a jump and drive over, it only took 20 minutes to get a quote on the new battery and get it installed. To start I am not from Arizona and I am here working and my car needed immediate attention. I brought my car with the hope of getting a quick spark plug change. I came with spark plugs in hand and immediately was told by the "manager" that my spark plugs weren't for my car they were for German cars. I understand that there might be a recommendation for my specific vehicle but she flat out told me I got the wrong ones. I was told that they could get to my car and have it done by the end of the day, so I left it there @9AM. The whole day goes by and I haven't heard anything about my car ( she did tell me it would be done by the late afternoon so I thought nothing about it). I call and she tells me that whoever she orders parts from brought the wrong spark plugs twice (sounded fishy, like they didn't even look at my car). So I decide to go down and see if I can work anything out with the manager. As soon as I get there she hands me my keys and basically expects me to walk away as if she didn't waste my whole day. I expressed my frustration and she seemed to not care. She told me my car wouldn't be done until the next morning but that wouldn't work. In a very stern and annoyed tone she goes "well if you can wait 30 minutes MAYBE I can have someone look at it". At that point I wanted nothing to do with these people and left. I have never had an experience quite like this anywhere to get my car service and that "manager" needs some training on customer service. I searched and searched for a good place to get my car battery replaced. I finally decided on Bell Ford for the warranty and because I bought my car there. Big mistake. I waited an hour and a half for a quote then was told they were charging over $60 for labor. Ugh Firestone was a breath of fresh air!! Daniel, the store manager treated me with respect, and allowed me to use an online coupon for a great rate. I was in and out in 30 minutes, and my battery has a full 30 month warranty which was comparable to the one at Ford. My car has been running great since!! Thank you! read more

Went here because it was close. Battery was dead. They found out the next day the cord was too. Basically they called me, got the info wrong and the cost wrong, and couldn't explain the issue or the pricing. Then they gave me the wrong keys and invoice. They don't talk to each other across shifts so the guy who gave me back my car had no idea what they did earlier that day. Never going there again. read more

Unfortunately Yelp makes you leave at least 1 star. I've had major work done on my old vehicle at the Fletcher's on Cave Creek probably 3-5+ times and loved them. Not sure why there's such a difference in service between this location and that one (not to mention the stars), but in the 3 different interactions I had with the same person at the Bell location.. I'm honestly disgusted. Darren needs a MAJOR attitude adjustment and for that alone I would never recommend that location or take my business to any of their other locations. My car has been misfiring for a few weeks. I wasn't sure what exactly the problem was and did not have the funds to get it fixed until Friday this last week. I had it scheduled on 2-18 and brought it in. When Fletcher's called with the diagnosis I wasn't surprised by what was wrong, however the cost was more than expected! The heater core had gone out and the ignition coils were bad! However, I was dealing with a Young man named Tanner who worked with me. He knew I was beginning a new job the next day and needed my vehicle to go on the freeway. The car would drive ok just not over 45 mph on the freeway! I was able to obtain the funds and he got two mechanics on it so it was repaired on time at no extra cost. I understand they did not have to do this but I do think they care about customers and the service they provide. Perhaps the previous reviews are old. In my opinion cars cost money to maintain. If you are nice to the people who are trying to help you, they will be nice back! I have been to Fletcher's before after being ripped off by another mechanic and have had nothing but good experiences with them! Their prices are reasonable and they are a good bunch of guys! The key to keeping costs down is maintenance and I learned my lesson the hard way. Granted I know a little about car repairs and understood the cost of repairs. Their labor is fair and their parts pricing is as well. (A side note, my sons horn on his car is broken and another gentleman at Fletcher's showed us where to purchase the 2 horns cheaper than they could do it to replace them with and instructions on how to do it. It was plug and go. The labor was .2, the horns were about $60 a piece. Horns are fixed! We did it ourselves.) This is good customer service in my opinion. Had they not gone above and beyond regular customer service on Friday I may have lost my new job! These guys have earned my business! read more

Horrible and awful are not strong enough words. I have taken my work trucks here a few times due to some groupon coupons, but never again. I took my s-10 in a couple weeks ago. They fixed the seals and said that would fix it. 2 months later I'm still going through a quarter of oil per week. Took the day off work yesterday just to get my truck fixed. Dropped it off at 8:30am. Arrogant guy behind the counter asked "what if I can't get it back to you until Monday." I told him that I'd have to go somewhere else because work starts at 6:30am Monday. He said no problem, he'd give me a call shortly. I called at 3:45 and he said he was going to look at it in the morning. I reminded him of our conversation and he said oh yeah. I then asked if they could do it now and they said no, they close in 15mins, which means I wasn't even going to get a phone call before they closed. When I went in same arrogant guy behind the counter never apologized and said "when" I bring it back in he'll waive the $90 diagnostic fee. Give me a break, too arrogant to even apologize. I bought a groupon for 2 oil changes, my 2nd experience was at the location of 1141 E Bell Road Phoenix, AZ 85022. This was a one time using this location, they changed the oil within 30 minutes, and didnt charge me for any extra fees, and provided great service. I would definitely go back to the Fletchers on Bell Rd again and refer others to this location. Unfortunately, at a different location, 2825 W Carefree Hwy, Phoenix, AZ 85085, my 1st experience was a lot different. This location tried to tell me I needed engine work, tried to scare me into high dollar repairs, they didnt feel like even doing the oil change, was their tactic because of radiator fluid that came out, due to too much excess in the reserve, not needing engine repairs. This visit was a over 2 weeks ago and thank God it was just this locations way of doing business, try to scare the client into spending money! And yes they charged me then for extra fees, tax etc after the groupon was used also. read more

This place is ridiculous. I went once for an oil change and they convinced me I needed some other fluids flushed. I did that. Thought the service was fine. Next time I went to get an oil change I was told to make an appointment. So I called and was told call back another day because they didn't know when they could do it and they don't make appointments. I asked for a manger, only to find out I was speaking to the manager. Prior to the new ownership from approximately one year ago they were an excellent repair shop, but since the new owners have taken over they are a disaster. We have taken in various vehicles on multiple occasions and they have made mistakes resulting in us having to return for re-work a couple of times. One of these errors have been as simple as putting the wrong brake pads on our vehicle. Needless to say, we are done with them, we gave them a few chances but no more. Nice tires, but terrible customer service. I have bought three (3) sets of tires for my 2500 suburban. On the third set I needed a nail pulled out of a tire. I have bought the roadside service 3 times for $80 each time. I tried to bring the truck in for a tire repair. The shop said I could not make an appointment for the tire that I had to drop the truck off and leave it for the day. So, the next weekend I tried to leave the truck as previously instructed and was told I had to make an appointment. So, basically you can't get a tire fixed. I will never buy another set of tires from Firestone because after the sale, your on your own and the warranty means nothing. read more

My boyfriend and I took in our 06' Dodge Durango to see if we could get the brakes fixed that day. They were grinding and were not feeling safe at all. When we walked in the guy at the front desk was very impatient with us and talked down to us as though we were children. That by it self was enough to make me want to bolt, I don't take well to being spoken to that way. But the worst part was, even after checking he had the parts in stock, he told us he couldn't do it because he was closing in half an hour. Now mind you the sign says they close at 530PM, and it was only 430PM. Doing the front brakes with all the parts available only takes about 45 min. He told me and my boyfriend it would take at least 3 hours and that we HAD to call a head and schedule but he didn't have anything up for about a week or two. So we said no thank you and went to leave. But the good news after calling around and some driving we were able to go to Brakes Plus on Tatum and Bell, they were amazing! I called to set up an appointment for the next day with them, but they told us to come on in anyway and they could do it right then and there, even though they closed in less than an hour. They stayed an extra 10 min in the end, just for us. It was a huge relief considering once the tires were removed the showed us just how bad it had been. We were driving with no brakes. No one at Fletcher even looked at our truck. I can't imagine what would have happened if we had waited to schedule a week or two out like he wanted. Bad form Fletcher, bad form. read more

I had the worst auto repair experience I have ever had in my life (I'm 54) here. I had always heard that Fletcher's took care their customers. Since I needed a costly repair, they are very close, and they had financing options, I decided to give them a try. FIRST THING...WARNING ABOUT THEY'RE EASYPAY FINANCING! There were no details about interest rates or monthly payments when applying and being accepted. I called both Fletcher's toll-free number and this location and was told they had no idea what the terms were but I would find out after the repairs were completed and the charges were put through. Really? Unfortunately, I needed my car fixed. I didn't have any idea it was even legal to charge 96% interest (I have decent credit). I was assured that my car would be ready the next day or, at the latest, early the next week. I brought my car in mid-day on a Friday. They definitely over-promised. My car was ready the following Thursday. Of course, the repairs got delayed because they left my car outside Sunday night and my driver's window was broken, and my battery was stolen. They did pay for the replacement window and battery, but they didn't even vacuum the broken glass up. Additionally, whomever put the new window in, did not remove all the glass from the frame so it won't even roll up completely. Since I picked up my car, I have a vibration in my front end that was not there previously. I am afraid to go back though. I'm worried they may do more damage. read more

Beware! I had an appointment with these fellows only to wait 30 Minutes after my scheduled time for them to pull my car into the bay. I paid for and waited for an hour for a oil change and tire rotation. My tires were never rotated so I will be talking to someone about that. Next, they sold me on a cabin and air filter and told me they had them IN STOCK. This was a flat out lie as I waited an additional 30 minutes after waiting for the oil change to see someone come drop off an air filter from another store. I approached the desk and told them I had to leave and he said they were still waiting on a cabin filter from a different store. Lies lies lies. I have two questions: Why wouldn't you ask me in the beginning so those parts could be delivered a timely manner? Why would you lie about it at all? Third, the technicians were very unprofessional. Even arguing that it was Auto Zones fault even though they lied about having them in stock. Literally stood at my window until I drove off. Last but not least, someone rummaged through my glove box. What part of an oil change requires glove box access? My paperwork, gas receipts and sunglasses were thrown all over the floor. Overall horrible experience and I even ended up being late to work because of it. Thanks Fletcher's. Really appreciate it! In review. Paid for an oil change and tire rotation at a specific time and was not provided promised service Was not serviced at agreed upon and scheduled time. They lied about the products they had in stock to make a sale. This cause the appointment to run over two hours while I sat waiting in the lobby. Which in turn made me late for work. Only when I told the guy at the desk I had to leave did they let it slip they were waiting for parts from other stores. Careful! Watch out for this place! This location used to be Fletcher's. I never had an issue with Fletcher's until I tried this location. We got an oil change and the filter was not tightened properly. Within a week we got a check engine alarm. I checked and there was no oil on the dip stick. We returned and they fixed the issue. Anyone can make a mistake but we started going back to the Fletcher's we usually use. In the meantime, Fletcher's sold out to Firestone. Then, we got a nail in a tire and was close to this location. So, we decided to give them another try and were told that that would not repair a tire with only 3/32" inch of tread remaining. The legal limit is 2/32" by the way. Nevertheless, we had a new tire at the house due to road hazard replacement followed quickly by a new complete set (for the discount) purchased from Fletchers. We put that tire in the car, headed back to Firestone on E. Union Hills and .... here we go again! We were informed that Fletcher's went out of business and that they do not honor any Fletchers warranties or promises AND since they are Firestone they will not mount a Michelin tire for us. We take the tire to another Firestone and they had no problem mounting and balancing the tire for us. There was a fee of course be we expected that and the fee was reasonable. I THINK that this is a LOCATION issue not a Firestone everywhere issue. read more

I initially called the day before to set up an appt to get my brakes checked the next day at 1:00pm. I walk into Firestone a few mins before my scheduled appt and I tell the guy behind the desk that I have an appt and what it's for. He just stood there looking at me confused. Then, looks me up in their system and asks if I want to wait for them to finish or leave my car with them. I asked how long it would take and he told me their technician was out to lunch AND they were backed up at the moment. I called everyday at 8am for there stupid same day app. crap and somehow they were already booked for the WHOLE day or didn't answer. I went in to get the refund for my other one I purchase and they would only give me 8$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I should have gotten $20. We bought tires less than 2 1/2 years ago from this Fletcher. They were Firestone tires which have splitting issues. They are now splitting and are not standing by their warranty. Interesting that Fletcher no longer sells Firestone tires? That's because they sold us a bad product. DO NOT buy tires here. They do not stand by their product. Go to Big O or Discount Tire. As others have said working with a store manager, Daniel, who is honest, reliable, fair, and not ripping you off is very refreshing. I'm not sure who others worked with, but Daniel offered alignment very reasonably for my four new tires, which were priced lower than Costco, Discount Tire, and Walmart.
