I am relieved and extremely grateful that I found Lowery's Garage. John is the owner and is a strait laced, honest, principled person that treats customers with the utmost respect. For an issue I was quoted $5800 by a Ford dealership, John did that job as well as a couple other and only charged me a little under $3,000. They are so busy that they usually like to schedule out a couple weeks. However, in an emergency where my truck broke down and I needed it fixed ASAP, he had me tow it over the same day and had it completely fixed just a day or two later. AWESOME auto repair and service company. Thankful I found a company I will work with for the rest of my life. Thank you, John! Another big thumbs up for the front receptionist. She is beautiful and so friendly and understanding. Very easy to talk to and keeps things flowing smoothly while treating customers with the utmost respect and concern. Thank you for EVERYTHING!!! read more

I came in with a new squeek in my car. John and his team spent hours finding out what was wrong. I also had an oil change and a brake job done. His work and his communication was perfect. I recommend this business. read more

Had the worse situation occur - had to replace the transmission in my 2019 Tahoe. Incredibly frustrating but John got it done quickly, was incredibly professional and made the process as easy as possible. Highly recommend! read more

Have a fantastic experience with John at Lowery's Garage. It was through yelp reviews I found him and can say you need to bring your car here if you are in need of quality care. I was told "nobody wants to touch a Fiat" and John made me feel I was in good hands, and he helped me with my air-conditioning leak/malfunction. He fixed my car in a timely manner and was so easy to work with. When looking for a great garage for your car needs, head to Lowery's! read more

Everyone was super kind in the front office! Oil change was completed within a few hours, as prefaced. Much cheaper than some of the "chain" oil change places in the valley! read more

Honest, above board and just nice people. After finding them, we likely will never go anywhere else.

I have been taking my vehicle to Lowery's Garage for service for the last 3-4 years and I can't say enough good things about John, Harley and the whole crew. While the dealerships rob you blind changing filters, fluids, belts and hoses, Lowery's takes the time to inspect and determine what really needs to be serviced. They also take the time to explain the reason something needs to be changed or can wait til the next time. And finally, their prices are extremely reasonable. I would have been charged double or more for the same service at the dealership. I highly recommend Lowery's Garage! read more

I had a oil change and requested a balance for my car. I now have a shimmy. Not sure what this means.

I was a customer of Carmen's Innovations for many years, and despaired when it closed. I'm happy to have found Lowery's Garage. They are honest, reliable, and polite. Just now I thought that an expensive part had to be replaced, but they fixed it and charged me a nominal amount for it. Highly recommended! read more

I just moved to the area not too long ago and needed an oil change. I selected this place based off its other great reviews. The booking over the phone process was easy, they were pretty booked up but I didn't mind. The lady at the front desk was kind, personable, and easy to talk to. Our oil change was quick and the price was not bad at all! I always appreciate getting quality work without spending an arm and a leg these days. I haven't gotten anything else done for my vehicle here but this will be my go to moving forward! read more

I needed an alignment and Lowery's was quick to respond to my questions and told me the costs up front. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The entire process took about an hour and I was on my way home in a short period of time. I will be coming back whenever I need any other work done to my car. 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. read more

Lowery's Garage - My car - Auto Repair Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I went to Lowerys to have my wheel bearing replaced. they got it done for a reasonable price. On my drive home my car was driving weird and some light I never seen popped up on my dashboard. I called them back and they told me turn around and come back. they were closing soon but John still took the time to identify they had a malfunctioned part. they went and got me another one and fixed it right away!! I even lost my ID and they took the time to look around their office and parking lot. Real kind and honest folks! I'll definitely be back for future work. read more

I had written a better review before I deleted my previous account. That being said they don't fix what ain't broke. Finding a mechanic that you can depend on and is honest can be hard to find in a large city. I've been there twice only for an oil change. I barely drive and my car is a 2004. They've been honest and only do the work that is needed. In addition I got to experience something first hand that was really telling. A rep came in while I was waiting for my car that offers financing for customers. Basically one of these really shady places that charges a massive amount of interest and gives incentives to the shop for using them. Gross. Predatory. Disgusting. Basically the woman's response was gtfo though much more professional. She said we have customers who come in who cannot afford needed repairs because they are already in a financial bind and you think we're going to sign them up for something that is going to cost them even more that they likely can't pay? Just because it benefits us? I can't remember what the interest was that the guy said but it was something astronomical. This guy was the epitome of predatory lending tactics using people in need. To hear the exchange was SO telling. If you're looking for good guys you can find them here. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Lowery's - great customer service, timely servicing/oil change reminder emails, responsive communication from John/the mechanics about any car situations, and reasonable pricing. They have special offers or deals at times also! My family and I have trusted John/Lowery's Garage for over five years now and have complete trust that our cars are well cared for here! Lowery's is the best read more

Exceptional all around!!! John is one of the best humans in this world. He is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, and personable. My entire family goes to Lowery's. I actually look forward to getting my car serviced :) Wish I could give more than 5 stars! read more

I am a 62 year old female and live on disability. I also work part time as a house/pet sitter. I've lived in Arizona my whole life. All of my life I've had various mechanics work on my cars, some of which have really ripped me off. So this time I went on Yelp to look for the best mechanics in my area. Lowery's garage was one of the best with 69 reviews, all of which were 5 stars. The reviews talked about the honesty of the owner, John. My car issues were overheating, a constant smell of gasoline and a bad AC compressor. I called John at Lowery's and though he was incredibly busy he said he could look at my car. It turned out that the car had overheated only because the water in the radiator was low. ( My bad.) And the constant smell of gasoline was a bad leak that was pooling. Yikes! It needed a new Fuel pump assembly and serpentine belt. John replaced the AC compressor for $450 less than what Cactus Imports had quoted me which is where I've gone in the past for repairs. And the Fuel pump assembly and belt were replaced at an excellent price as well. I was very pleased and knew that I hadn't gotten lied to or taken advantage of this time just because I'm a woman. It's really good to know that there are still a few honest people out there. I will be using Lowery's garage going forward for all of my auto repairs in the future. Ty so very much, John. read more

So glad to have found Lowery's. Reliable and dependable, doesn't try to get you to do things you don't need, prices are very reasonable. All great things to have in a mechanic. read more

Awesome communication, fairly priced, young women at front is fantastic, etc. Will never give the dealership another dime and would much rather support this local shop that doesn't try to gauge their customers!!! read more

the response time was very quick they are very direct and guaranteed their work.. John's wife has owned a couple Jeeps so I felt comfortable with him working on my Jeep he replaced my clutch the whole clutch kit it shifts amazing and I couldn't be happier.. the price was what I was expecting.. wasn't too low wasn't too high it was an average price.. but the guys were very cool with me and they told me 2 weeks and he got it done in 4 days.. so I was even more happier.. cuz I was driving my grandson's little lowrider car haha! I highly recommend these guys for any service especially when it comes to clutches and off-road vehicle stuff like that they know what they're doing..thanks guys! read more

Brought my older truck in for a checkup and oil change before a road trip. To be honest, the truck has over 125k miles on it. IF there was something that needed fixing, I would have not questioned it. Well they did not take advantage. The oil change was all I needed. I am a customer that will be back read more

Great service. I picked them because of the reviews and they are all right. I knew exactly what I needed to have done. I fully expected a hard sell to add on different things and I never got that. In and out. Because if that they will get plenty more of my business instead of trying to get a few extra bucks now. Thank you. I drove over 20 miles and passed at least ten places that can service my car. I will do it next time. read more

Finally.... An honest shop. I've been to probably 5 or 6 different auto repair shops in the valley and most have been dishonest, trying to sell me on repairs that aren't needed. I live almost an hour from Lowery's, and after my first visit with my Ram truck I knew I'd found a good shop. I'll gladly drive an hour for an honest mechanic. Thank you guys!! read more

Super nice people and they have great prices. They make sure you get what you need and don't try to get you to have things you don't really need. It does take some time for them to do oil changes so just be prepared. I will continue to be coming back. read more

Helped me out when I failed emissions inspection because they couldn't get a reading form my plug in. Lowerys knew just what it was and fixed it it pronto. I like that they check your car and make recommendations but no pressure. My mechanic of 15 years retired and I'm very glad I found them. Honest and reliable. read more

This place is seriously the best!! i have taken both my cars here and John has always done an amazing job! They have taken my car to emissions for me so that i would be able to pass with an engine light warning on. i drive 30 minutes to come here!! again the BEST !! read more

They had the best price for the work I needed done. Far below what the dealership was charging and about what the other mechanics were charging. But, the other places do not have the great reviews that this place has. Some have serious horror stories on the work that was improperly done. Not here, great reviews and things are done right. The work was done on time and when the final bill came it was less than what I was quoted! A new, happy will definitely return customer... read more

Highly recommend this auto repair shop!!! Very happy with the service. We had a breakdown late in the day and had to get a tow. They squeezed us into a very busy schedule and I greatly appreciated that. The estimate and repairs were done the next day. The pricing was very fair and they are very honest with offering other services. They are not pushy and very friendly. I highly recommend this auto repair shop! read more

Wow, talk about honesty and integrity, John's got both!! Took our daughter's '05 RAV4 in for an oil change, got that done with a full inspection for right around $30, half what I've been paying anywhere else. At which time he told my husband the water pump was leaking and would have to be replaced before long - no pressure, no scare tactics. Made an appointment to get it replaced, he ordered the part and got it in quickly. With the part and over a half day's worth of labor, out the door for $273. Then her air conditioning wasn't blowing cold air, got in the next morning, new cabin air filter and AC service for $160. An hour and a half later it was blowing icy cold air. My turn - my '07 RAV4 had started making noise from the brakes. I thought, oh great here comes another $1200 (minimum) brake job - no, John found a part in the brakes that was out of alignment and adjusted it, told my husband the brake pads were in great shape, lots of life left. No more squeak, and he charged us nothing, not even for labor, $0!! Awesome experiences, unbelievable compared to almost all other mechanics. We have yet to need to take my husband's '08 4Runner in, but it will be going there sooner than later. If you're noticing a theme, we like to drive our Toyotas until we can't anymore, and John is making that possible with garage bills that are as reasonable as I've ever seen. I will never take our vehicles to another mechanic as long as Lowery's is around. Amazing find!! read more

My husband and I broke down up the road and towed it here right before they closed and they were kind enough to take a look at it right away and john even took the time to talk to us over the phone to see if he could diagnose the problem. Sometimes they don't have openings right away but when possible we always wait to take our vehicles here because this is the one mechanic that is reasonable, honest, and doesn't try to take advantage of you. If they were to ever go out of business I think we would cry. A gem of a shop! read more

Needed an oil change and reached out to Lowerys Garage through Yelp for a quote. John responded incredibly fast. Staff was really nice and got the oil change done at a great price and within short amount of time. Weekends are usually booked everywhere but they were able to get me in. Truly appreciate the service! read more

I took my car to Lowery's initially because my ac went out. John and his wife were able to get my car in quickly and take a look around the whole car to determine it's issues. When they were finished I was informed of a much more serious issue, my water pump was leaking! John said he could fix it for a fair price and they were very efficient about it, I had my car back in less than 24 hours with out any fear of the car having any major issues. Lowery's is very efficient and fair in their pricing. They also take the time to explain what is wrong with the vehicle and what they need to do to fix it. If you are looking for a fair and honest mechanic, this is the best place I've found so far and I will be returning and recommending them to my friends. :) read more

I've taken my car to Lowery's Garage for various reasons over the past three years and I've always had a great experience. Tried Lowery's based on Yelp reviews and my first visit was great. Same day transmission check-up & maintenance was done professionally and at a significantly lower cost than three other shops I checked with. They also discovered a burned out light bulb on my vehicle and just replaced it as a courtesy. I recommend them and will definitely go back. read more

We looked at the reviews before making an appointment they were all outstanding. We went for an oil change and an examination of a potential problem. As was noted in other reviews, John is an honest, straightforward businessman. His prices are very fair and more than reasonable compared to other businesses we have dealt with. We have found a new go-to place for future auto maintenance and repair needs. Thank you John for your service. read more
