I made an appointment at this location to get some new tires put onto my vehicle. When I arrived I was greeted with a calm and friendly hello! Everyone I interacted with was very VERY friendly. The entire process took an hour. I also think the value I paid for my tires was extremely good. I recommend this tire place to anyone looking to get tire work done. read more

I've held off on writing this review for a while... My family has been coming here since I was 15 years old. I am now 27 years old.I kept coming here because like I said, I personally saw how they treated my family and provided excellent customer service and communication throughout the years.. I came in exactly 8 months ago for a low pressure tire reading, manger middle aged man helped me out. He originally told me, the tire is not repairable meaning they couldn't just patch it up, he checked my tires and said they are in warranty. He explained to that it would be a $20 fee to replace it. I said okay that sounds good, additionally he asked if I wanted my spare tire replaced and I said, "sure let's replace it because it hadn't been touched in 10 years" this was an additional charge which I didn't really need but because I was under the impression"hey I'm getting a brand new tire placed why not help him out" (not sure if he makes commission off of sales like tires or windshield wipers)... couple of hours go by, and I get a text saying my vehicle is ready (2015 Tacoma). My wife drops me off, I wait in line patiently. I'm finally called up to be checked out, the same guy/manger who helped me is checking me out. He goes to grab the plastic folder with the paper and car "keys" he sees the keys aren't in the actual folder, keep in mind he doesn't say anything and walks away... like I said I am waiting patiently, and didn't even say anything to him but I could tell he was panicking... 3 minutes go by, then he comes in looking again, leaves for another 5, 10, then 15 minutes which go by without him informing me of what has happen... KEEP in mind he never said anything AT ALL. He comes inside to ask the others mangers and runs outside to look inside the car, as I'm watching him through the window he finds the key inside the ignition still... he comes back and hands me my keys. DOESNT EXPLAIN OR APOLOGIZES. Okay cool, whatever. Keep in mind this is a manger. At this point I didn't say anything I just went about my business and didn't mind it. I continued to come and support this discount tire even though I live next to a closer one. I began noticing a pattern with this manger who seemed to undermine me since I seem pretty young which is such a blessing and a curse.. I ended up going to the discount on 43rd and bell road for a tire rotation. A nice young manger came out and checked my tires as he is checking them he said I am due for some new tires. As he is telling me I said I should just need 3? I just got a brand new one... well he informed me it was never replaced. He pulled up the receipt and showed me that they just patched it... like I said the metro discount tire had a long reputation of doing honest work, but that has officially been cut off completely. The customer service has gone down over the years. If you go to this discount keep an eye out for the middle aged manger (older than the younger mangers there), he has brown hair and wears gel. He is a manger who didn't learn how to treat every customer equally or how to have proper communication skills. read more

I took my 2020 Honda CR-V with 40K miles in for alignment. The manager approached me and said the right front is out of alignment by 0.7 and stated they cannot correct it due to the specs not being provided by Honda. Unfortunately, this was a lie as the manager had to say this to keep his job. I reached out to the technician who worked on the vehicle to explain the situation, and he clearly stated that the shock would need to be moved in the shock tower area. However, we don't perform repairs at that level as we don't have the necessary tools. Be aware that this can happen with their limited skill set. I recommend Network Alignment or Firestone to mitigate issues outside of Discount Tire. They may be cheaper but will have to go somewhere else if they cannot finish the job. Note: The Manager was willing to not charge me if I did not want to proceed. read more

As I was sitting here waiting for my old car to get new tires on, I began to think of the people that work here and who are actually happy working here, which is a good sign. It is Thursday afternoon and here I sit thinking of all the reviews I have read on this social media. I was first introduced to Discount Tire Company going back to the 1970's, and yes they have been around at least that long to their credit. The place is located just across the Metro Center which is in the process of being torn down and who knows what the future holds for businesses around here. I am not one to write reviews much anymore since some businesses have failed and many are not around anymore. Nostalgia sets in when I think of what was here or what used to be here. Like I said before Discount Tire Company has been around this Valley for a very long time. So what does this tell you. The employees are happy here and provide good service to their customers. At some point if I happen to have a tire problem I will be returning. As I was texted to let me know the car was ready I walked out to have them pull my old car out and before I got back into my car I had small talk with the guy who worked on it. He realized that this old car is still running and asked if I was going to sell it. I don't think so for now but at some point I will. I thanked him and wished him a nice day. I drove off and I thought to myself, I sure do hope that whatever job people are doing that they are happy doing what they are doing, it makes a big difference. read more

We purchase tires both for our fleet Vitesse and me personally John Thompson mostly from your Bell store always pleasant however last week we ordered tires not in stock when arrived I pre paid $1,175 for my sons truck. When notified arrived my daughter in law was dealt very rudely by employee John who also through me under bus with inacute accusations. I'm not pleased. However Angel who helped me earlier was a gentleman. Being in the customer service industry he's a dis credit to your product. Fix it. read more

Previously I wrote a negative review bc of the pokiest, disinterested, slowest air check support staff. Long lines, leaving the line, horrible, just horrible and it's hot here. I could only give them a 3 bc they are actually good at tires, just weren't good with the air check staff anymore at all. Today I finally went back to see if I could ...get my tires checked. 3rd in line. It moved at a decent pace. The guy working it has supported me a couple of times before and he's always good. Where do I start! This location just happened to be open after closing time and to our terrible luck we got a huge bolt stuck in our tire around 6pm when all discount tires close. We were on our way to a different place but had certifications for our tires, by a miracle this discount tire was on our route. Sawyer, I hope I'm spelling his name right... he went above and out of his way to help us despite us coming in after closing time. Thank you so so much! DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS (Cave Creek and Bell Road) I made an appointment in person and told the salesman I had one tire pressure monitor sensor (TPMS) malfunction. He priced one TPMS about $62 for parts and labor. I had all 5 tires including spare replaced in 2023, as well as 3 of the 5 TPMS sensors at the same location at the cost of about $1600. I went for my appointment the next day and I specifically told the sales person that I only needed one sensor and that the spare tire sensor was not faulty. He went to the vehicle. Checked every sensor and went into my trunk even though I told him the spare sensor in the trunk was working. He told me that I needed 3 sensors. I told him I have a good reading from 4 sensors out of 5 (See image) and that I only needed 1 malfunctioning sensor replaced. He said that I needed to replace 3 sensors because his scan showed I had low battery on three of the sensors and they would need replacement sooner or later. I have been a master ASE technician for 25 years and owned an automotive repair shop (doing something different now). This salesman was trying to sell me sensors perfectly functioning which I didn't need. This is an example of trying to up sell a ticket and raise your ticket average to make more money. At that point, I took my key fob and left. This is the best example of how a business wold screw up a good loyal customer and lose future business opportunity from him. I will never go to this location or any other Discount Tire location because I simply no longer trust them, and neither should you!! read more

Very angry right now. I got my car here at 8:30 they started changing the 2 tires. We mentioned the air being low in one of the tires and they said they would take a look at it. I mentioned the fact I needed to be to school at a specific time and if it wouldn't be done by then I would need to come back. I came to pick it up at 10:30, an hour before school. The tire was still low. I asked them if they can put air in it. They said they would pull it back in. They told me 3 times it would be 10 more mins. By 11:15 they finally gave me my car back and I was late for school because they messed up. You suck discount. read more

I forgot about this location! I stopped in one evening to price out replacement tires for my Jeep. Rene confirmed my suspicions, the Nitto Terra Grapplers were discontinued and tires in my size were few & far between. Rene showed me how to order & schedule online. About a week later I ordered five tires and scheduled an appointment. Turns out the tires I ordered weren't en route, so I was offered an alternate brand. I dropped my Jeep off and picked her back up on my lunchbreak. Rene price matched my tires since the ones I ordered did not arrive. My Jeep rides so damn smooth now! Thanks to the crew our repair was done Drifay afternoon at late notice. Was able to stop drop and roll (and get dinner) and get home at a reasonable hour - all no thanks to the horrific traffic control and nails in the road on Dunlap where the light rail work is taking place. Seriously, don't bother driving down there(!), but DO bother to stop in and see the folks at Discount Tire. Knowledgeable, helpful, fair, quick, and will get you out of that unexpected jam. I have been to this location many times and have purchased tires on a few occasions. This morning I got there before open and was told it would be 1 hour at max and 2 people ahead of me... fine I'll wait. Finally about 1 hour 30 minutes in I ask what is going on , and was told I was next in line and they were appointments getting in before me...fine My biggest issue is as I'm sitting there the guys in the bays could have gotten more people thru but constantly felt the need to just stop and chat. It was a constant issue the whole time. The laziest of the bunch was a guy named Jonathan. I've never seen someone walk around so much and yet never accomplish anything. He basically watches everyone and talks. I'm honestly shocked his co-workers weren't getting more upset about how little he did. The only thing he did other than talk to people consistently was pull in cars or back them out. If I worked there I would be infuriated at someone like him. All and all the desk reps are always nice and, I just just feel like the managers need to be more observant of their employees doing the work in the bays.Finally got done a little over 2 hours of waiting. With a full waiting area you think there would be more of a sense of urgency. I probably will look elsewhere at this point. Super disappointing how little they respect the customers time. read more

I'm new here to AZ so seeing the tire pressure maintenance symbol on my car every 3-4 months was very unusual. I thought there might be something wrong with my maintenance lights so I came here to ask about it and they were very informative in telling me that this is normal in Arizona due to the very hot weather and changes in extreme weather. What's nice about this place compared to gas stations is that they have a free service where they pump your tires to the correct PSI. Granted, I had to wait 35 minutes to get this free service but it beats what I was doing before I found out about this store: going to random gas stations that don't have PSI meters and hoping that I filled my tires correctly. read more

Pro tip: make a reservation for whatever you are getting done. Great service and responsive team willing to go the extra mile! Wouldn't insure my tires with anyone else! If anything goes wrong they got your back! They do tend to try and make you always think that new tires are needed, but you can tell via the eye test. They use a tire tool which shows the depth of tread, jus be cautious. I've never found them to be high pressure when getting new tires. read more

I never want to be that a$$hole that saunters into a business 15 minutes before closing...but today I was just that. Although with solid reason! Found a large nail in one of the tires & tomorrow we're headed to California. My husband's kind suggestion of getting it patched up just didn't fly with me for a 600+ mile trip So I called them up at 5:45 and they were so kind to tell me to just come in since driving that far with a nail isn't safe. Once there, Danny was wonderful. We talked about my tire options and other things, too. He is very friendly, personable and definitely an asset to the Discount Tire team. Give him a raise!! Apparently ANY tire you buy from them.. you get NO WARRANTY ! Twice now.. a family member bought tires from them and less than a year later they're falling apart.. with less than 12,000 miles on them. But the warranty is voided because the tires are failing apart. A real catch-22. The 40,000 mile warranty they say they have on them, applies if you don't drive on them. They weren't driving excessively.. not off roading. Just regular driving on regular roads. But No warranty on these tires because they are going bad.. after less than 12,000 miles. I've been going to a different tire store and when one of MY tires went bad at 25,000 miles. I got a new tire. Easy, quick, free. But that's probably true about most OTHER tire stores. So cheaper isn't always better... And they aren't even always cheaper! read more

Of of my last 3 visits, I have had nothing but bad service on each occasion. I have had my rocker panel damaged from technician errors, replacing the wrong tires and today, wasting about 3 hours of my time even though I had an appointment. Manager Chase only offered lame excuses, blaming IT and other things that had nothing to do with his general incompetent mistakes of him and his staff. Discount Tire used to have great service until about 5 years ago. I have literally spent thousands of dollars with company over the last 10+ years, and now I have wasted too much money with them. Their management have no responses to these issues, and to my continued(and currently) unfounded loyalty to this local AZ business, I only wish someone at Discount Corporate would contact me to give me some reason to continue my support for this company. read more

I know the importance of supporting the mom and pop shops and I try to do so whenever possible. For this endeavor, though, I went to three large chain service providers. I also know of the tendency to associate the adjective "Discount" with cheap or perhaps substandard. I have to say, however, that I am constantly impressed by the service I get at every Discount Tire location. My FJ cruiser has been dealing with some annoying shudders coming through my steering wheel for almost a month. I took it in to Costco for an inexpensive rebalance and, after an uncommonly long time (over an hour and a half) I got my truck back with an only minimally reduced rumble. I then assumed maybe it was the alignment. I have a lifetime alignment deal through Firestone. Again, it helped a tiny bit. They said the driver's side toe was off. It tracked a bit straighter and felt safer but it still shook a bit. I finally brought the truck to the Discount Tire on Metro Parkway where I was assisted by Chuck. I found a nail in my rear tire and fully expected them to upsell me to a new pair of tired as surely they wouldn't just let me repair the damaged tire. These guys are awesome. No upsell. They even told me I had plenty of tread left on my two older tires. They fixed the tire for free. read more

My husband and I were getting ready to go to California for the weekend. I made an appointment to get the oil changed and the tires rotated. When I was at Discount to get my tires rotated, the serviceman went out to my car and convinced me that two of my tires were in bad shape, needed to be replaced and recommended that they not be driven on for a road trip. He added that he'd hate to see me stranded in the middle of nowhere. The tires for my car were not available and would have to be ordered. My husband and i ended up renting a car instead of taking a chance. I just took my car to Costco and I was told that my tires have just under half their life left. The tires are in great condition and the only thing he recommended was a tire rotation. Shame on you Discount! You cost me $250 and a loss of 4 hours on our trip. Had a flat. Waited 15 minutes in a line this morning to drop off. Waited 30 minutes to pick up even though I didn't owe anything and it was 2:30. Also, had the cashier answer a new phone while I waited over 10 minutes. I may be old school but I don't believe that you leave a customer stand in line to answer questions about new tires. Additionally, after repairing a flat they put my spare tire in the back seat of my car instead of putting it in its compartment. read more

I hate dealing with car issues and they not have a warranty on the tires, they REALLY mean it. I was on the 101 going to work (Sky Harbor) and I gotta flat. When AAA came they did replace my tire and I was so upset thinking I'm going to have to spend another $300 for a new tire (just bought this time 5 months ago). The next day, I go back to DT and the service man did NOT hassle me and he just replaced the tire and mounted it with NO questions asked and NO hassles! I didn't have to pay ANYTHING..... Usually hubby takes care of all car needs as I work Saturdays, but I had the unexpected day off so I accompanied him to Discount Tire to get his tires looked at. His tire sensor warning light had come on the day before. We got there shortly before the store opened at 8 a.m. and there was already a line of about 8-10 people ahead of us waiting to go in. (So if you want to be an early bird, be a real early bird and probably get there 15-30 minutes before it opens). We decided since it could be a bit of time to get through the line and then not knowing how long the repair would be that I would Uber home while hubby was waiting in line and come back with our other vehicle. That way we could run some of our errands when the car was being worked on. We just live about 2 miles from it. I actually Ubered home, got the car, and drove back to Discount Tire right as hubby was first in line waiting for the 3-4 customer service reps (for lack of a better name to call them but the ones that asked what they could do for you, helped process your order, etc). Several of the workers did say thanks to everyone in line for being patient and for waiting and that they would get to them as soon as they could. The line had continued to grow when I was gone for that little bit. Adam took care of us and he did a great job listening to what was going on when my husband explained it and then went out to the vehicle to check everything out. Turned out that the tire that was registering low wasn't really the one that had low air as he checked each and every tire. He also deemed that the sensor thing (I'm not good with car talk) would have to be rebuilt so he wrote up the order that way. As our other car was there, we said we would be back when it was ready. He gave us the option of having a text sent when it was done which we agree to. Hubby asked approximately how long it would be and he said 1-1/2 hours. We did several errands and drove back by and saw the car was being worked on, so we went around the corner and got a Starbucks and right when waiting for our order there, he got a text and a phone call that the car was ready, which was about 1-1/2 hours after we had left Discount Tire. Everything was fixed. Great customer service on the part of Adam and every other person that was working there. Definitely our place to go for tires when needed! read more

I had a car towed in for ONE flat tire last Sat. Now I have the indicator light coming on for my 3rd flat tire 5 days later. ONE tire was flat, another had a bubble and would blow. I got a deal on 2 tires. That's how they got me. They told me that my tire was there so I had it towed there last Sat when I got the flat. It wasn't, but that's what they said. On Monday when I went to pick my car up, I was told I had to wait til Tuesday. No tire. Tuesday it wasn't there when expected, so they put a loaner tire on so I could get to work. I brought it back Wednesday so the loaner could be replaced. They chose to replace the tire with a bubble. I brought it back on Saturday so the loaner could be replaced (the loaner wasn't the right size, so l'm freaking out every time I get in it). The loaner was replaced on Sat, but when I leave and I get an indicator that says now the front wheel is flat... I'll be damned if I go back to this DT location. They'll replace the 3rd and then the 4th will be flat??? Mysteriously? Thank you, but no thank you. read more

The weight hair is normally pretty long unless you schedule an appointment ahead I guess you would say that's to be expected with any franchised name that is as big as discount tire is at particular stores the workers are a little lazier than the other workers at different locations so it depends on where you are located at and which one you're driving to I've been to the one off the I 17 and Camelback and they were just disrespectful and rude from the time I showed up to the time I walked out the door it just felt like they didn't even want to service in there but all together my experience with the other stores that I have visited were good they did get the job done at a pretty expensive price but if you can afford if you can afford it if not there are other places to go read more
