This location has a gentleman name Carlos as the manager. I came in with the "Ac Performance check" coupon for $10. On Friday when I went in, Carlos initially told me they were super super busy and won't be able to hey me in till Monday, he then went out to make the appointment for me in the computer and Upon learning I was a first time customer in the system, he went over to the mechanic and pleaded to get me in that same day. I left my car and was called approximately 1hr later with pricing. I was quoted $1500 for a new condenser; parts and labor. I politely declined and said I would be picking up my car. Carlos then stated he can knock $400 off if I was willing to go ahead with the appointment. I also declined. When I went to pick up my car, Carlos wanted me to pay $150 for diagnostic. Mind you, I let him initially when I first showed up that I was here for the AC PERFORMANCE CHECK. he didn't provide ANY paperwork showing what type of work was done and I was again explained to him that I have my $10 ac check coupon. He right away got frustrated with me and said that coupon is not valid and I had to pay the $150. At the point, I was very well aware that he just wanted to pocket my money and take advantage of me. so i told him I won't be paying that amount. I told him he can call the owner of my company since we have a credit card on file with Firestone and he may authorized it. He then grabbed my keys and handed to me and asked me not to come Back to the location. Carlos went on to call the company I worked for and advised them that we are now BLACKLISTED from this location. (Will provide voice text in screen shots below) The owner of the company now frustrated because we have a fleet of vans that Firestone services all across Arizona called Carlos back. When asked if we can speak to a manager or supervisor Carlos claimed that he was the only manager working till Monday. Today is Sunday so will follow up on Monday with hopefully another manager. After speaking with Carlos for 5 minutes regarding the blacklist of our company, he then went out to say our company is now welcomed back if we're willing to let this go and not continue looking into the matter any further. ( call was recorded so we'll provide proof) If I could give zero stars, I would. I brought my car in for what should have been a simple repair, and this so-called mechanic saw dollar signs instead of a customer. Not only did he try to upsell me on completely unnecessary work, but he also quoted me an outrageous price--three times higher than what any honest mechanic would charge. When I questioned the inflated estimate, he became defensive and tried to talk circles around me, clearly hoping I wouldn't catch on. Luckily, we got a second opinion and confirmed that most of what he listed wasn't even needed. If you're thinking of going here, don't. I took a chance by taking my car to Firestone , because I really thought that they would be qualified to figure out why my car just started jerking out of no where. I also had a small leak coming from under the cars engine. Whatever the jerking was from , it jerks no more. But , they never told me about the leaks that I enquired about. And , when I did come to pick up my car , it was leaking gas , as if my cap wasn't screwed on , or something. I ended up taking it back to them , twice , and they said something about a pinch in some cord. After taking it to them the second time , I thought that everything would be back to normal. But , now , I have an oil leak , that seems like my car have a giant hole in the engine somewhere. I'm now spending about $100 a week , just to keep my car full of oil. First it was the gas leaking that had me digging into my pockets. Now , I'm having the exact same problem with my oil draining all over the road. I understand that these guys told .e about a couple things that needed repair. But , it was nothing major. Or , something that couldn't wait. And , on top of all of this , I now have a big yellow scape on my front bumper , that I'm sure was caused by pulling my car in or out of the bay. You guys really messed me around. Unfortunately I think I could have gotten the supplies and done the oil change quicker myself with this experience. I made a reservation online Monday for the following day at 830. I arrived at 825 and checked in to be told I didn't have a reservation and they weren't accepting walk ins. I showed them my two separate email confirmations and was told "Well it's not in my schedule, but I can try". I said I just needed it by 4 that afternoon, a good 6 hours later. I was informed of I was dropping off it would be no problem. Well 1 o clock came, no call, then 2, then 3, no updates. I called at 330 and was told they were pulling my car in now he was watching the tech move it and it would be done in no more than 45 minutes. Not a big deal to me a little after 4. Fine. I showed up at 430 to find my car in the same spot. I approached the counter and was told no one had touched it and I was second in line. The "manager" that confirmed my car was being pulled in had left and doesn't control scheduling. I waited another hour and a half before getting my car at 645. 10 hours after I dropped it off. This Firestone deserves so much more recognition, I brought my Audi here after my AC stopped blowing cool air and the Audi dealership tried robbing me and quoted me about $1k just for a diagnostic with no guarantee that they would find the issue and told me it would be thousands more if it's the issue they are thinking it is and tried to scare me into me selling my car to them for dirt cheap. I called Firestone and they did 2 diagnostics for around $220 together I believe. Found the problem within a couple of days and ordered a new part and walked away with 2 diagnostics done, 2 recharges, and parts and labor with my AC fixed and under warranty for about half the price Audi was quoting me JUST for a diagnostic. The employees at this location are very honest and helpful and I admire their integrity so much for not attempting to take advantage and just get $ out of me and for genuinely trying to help with my situation and my budget. I don't remember the manager's name but he was an older gentleman with glasses, he was also very helpful and I had great interactions with every employee at this location and the communication was fantastic as well. I wish I would've gotten everybody's names because they are truly the best. I'll always bring my car to this location and recommend this location to everybody, they will forever have my business. So where should I start? September 1st 2020 I had a 7am appointment for an oil change, tire rotation new cabin air filter and to replace front and rear windshield wipers. They excepted the appointment I come in at 8 o'clock they say that they're really busy today so that I'm gonna have to wait two hours. The whole point of an appointment is to not have to wait in line behind everybody else. The reservation even had listed that I would be waiting and not dropping it off. The person that was helping me was very nice and polite but that doesn't solve the fact that I took time out of my day and away from work to come down to an appointment and then could not get my car serviced. By far the worst mechanic experience of my life, for many reasons. They are not knowledgeable and attempted to scam me out of $400+, and successfully scammed me out of $160. Was told based on their diagnostics that a coil was faulty and the throttle body was dirty. My throttle body had already been cleaned a few weeks prior and I found out later this only needs to be done every 30,000 miles. They also attempted to charge me for the coil replacement despite it being under warranty at AutoZone as I had just had them all replaced weeks prior. Eddy and the manager both said they had "never heard of this and never had to do this before". Never heard of a part being under warranty and vendors reimbursing the shop?! When I tried to explain it to them they completely dismissed me and even said they believed my previous mechanic was lying about it being possible! Thankfully I had a trusted mechanic from a previous place I used in Missouri who called them and got them to listen. Guess they just needed to hear it from a man? The manager of the location also yelled at me in the lobby, said I was "calling him a liar" because I insisted that the parts and labor as well as diagnostic fee could be reimbursed. Acted like a complete child. After about an hour, 4 calls to my previous mechanic, and 3 calls to autozone they finally ate their words after hearing it from someone at AutoZone, and gave me my car keys back without forcing me to pay for something I didn't need to pay for. Very rude, sexist, and you guessed it- they did NOT fix my car. The second I drove out of the lot it was doing the exact same thing it had been before. Total scam artists. read more

They're are friendly and yes, in my experience, have been honest with any repairs my cars have needed. My most recent trip to this location was to replace the A/C Compressor on my Altima. I delt with Bob and Chris but mostly with Chris. Both were friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions. I'm livid because my dad went to get an oil change today. They put down the wrong miles on the car. Over 20k more. We just got the car from the dealer used, about a month ago, but it had new tires on it. Still have the little rubber hairs sticking out of them that they are new tires. Now they have damage to them, like they gouged them and stripped them, the front two. They don't look like they have normal where and tear on them. I know what that looks like and that is not it! I have been going to Brakes Plus for over 3 years and I love it but they are a solid 20 min drive away. So I went in on 6/5/2015 to get just the basic oil change. It is now Tuesday 6/9/2015 and my car, once over 2500 rpm, sounds really wrong. I finally just popped the hood to see if I could find anything obvious and I found the air filter cover not even installed. It looks like they just forgot about it, air filter half sitting in the pocket and cover just dangling. Driving since 6/5/2015 in Phoenix AZ with the dust and desert debris in the air being sucked into my car. I called them up to see what they would do and the guy said it would be fine and they didn't need to check anything. He somehow knew their mistake didn't warrant an inspection over the phone, he didn't seem to be bothered by the mistake. Very disappointing. I won't be going back. I really wanted this to work. The fact is if you have guys working on my car that can't remember simple things what confidence do I have when they have to mess with my brakes, or tires, or more important items. Don't take your vehicle here. Awful customer service. Kept changing their story on when my father in laws car would be ready. They had it there for 8 days! They were supposed to have it ready on day 7, a Saturday before close. Got a call after 6 (closing time) that they'd have the mechanic stay late to work on it more and he was test driving it to make sure it was fine. We never got a call to get the car, called multiple times, finally drove there to check on the car just before 8pm and the lights were off, car up in the bay with all tires off. WHY would they lie and say it was test driven within the last 2 hours?! You don't need tires off a car that your workin on the pump for. They gave us attitude and every excuse in the book Sunday when picking it up at 4:30. Liars and crap people. Went to get my tire fix like a week ago got on the freeway my steering wheel was shaking so much so i thought it was the ball joint they told me about so i went to my personal mechanic. The ball joint was perfectly fine but on the oniside of my wheel there is a big dent. Firestone on the website so she could get it replaced instead of driving all the way to Chandler. She arrived at this store at 5:56 pm. Their website says they are open until 7 pm, but the workers insist they are only open until 6 pm. But asked if they could somehow give me a break because I was out of work & between jobs. Here is what happened Brake booster was $82.97 their cost, they charged me $190.99. I would give this firestone and all three in the area zero stars if possible. My car had run great for years until I brought it in to get a tune up and oil change. That's when issues started to happen. My car overheated a few days later, I found unplugged wires. So I brought it in again to get checked out and so they don't waste their time I said change my breaks also. They told me everything was good on my car and no reason for the overheating. One of the recommendations was to get my oil sensor changed so I take it in today and all of a sudden I'm told their is a massive oil leak and my car is bleeding out oil. 11 hours my car was there with no call to me until I just showed up right before close. Why wasn't any of this found the 3 times I had my car service in a month. I trusted these "professionals" This is why mechanics have a bad reputation. I even brought them doughnuts this morning. I am so disappointed. I posted this review for another firestone as well, these two shops were involved with this whole update: it ended up costing 1325.00 to take it to the dealership that's on top of the hundreds of dollars already spent at the "mechanics" and for towing. I will end up having to spend 1700 more just to get the original issue fixed which I did not have the money for after being ripped off by these folks. read more
