I would give this firestone and all three in the area zero stars if possible. My car had run great for years until I brought it in to get a tune up and oil change. That's when issues started to happen. My car overheated a few days later, I found unplugged wires. So I brought it in again to get checked out and so they don't waste their time I said change my breaks also. They told me everything was good on my car and no reason for the overheating. One of the recommendations was to get my oil sensor changed so I take it in today and all of a sudden I'm told their is a massive oil leak and my car is bleeding out oil. 11 hours my car was there with no call to me until I just showed up right before close. Why wasn't any of this found the 3 times I had my car service in a month. I trusted these "professionals" This is why mechanics have a bad reputation. I even brought them doughnuts this morning. I am so disappointed. I posted this review for another firestone as well, these two shops were involved with this whole update: it ended up costing 1325.00 to take it to the dealership that's on top of the hundreds of dollars already spent at the "mechanics" and for towing. I will end up having to spend 1700 more just to get the original issue fixed which I did not have the money for after being ripped off by these folks. read more

Had to give 1 star under protest. Took my truck in to check out the air-contidioner, said I needed a new compressor , also agreed to take me home. got a ride home but had to find a ride back. Drove my truck 1 day and the air blew hot air. Now needed another item that was hooked up to the compressor ... why did they not see it the first time ? Dropped it off and I was told I would get a ride there after truck done. Darrell called that evening truck done no ride. Said next day would be able to get ride at 11 a.m., I called at 11:30 said no one to get me. I am 5 minutes away so he could not spare anyone for 10 minutes after I spent nearly $1000 on repairs for my truck ! What a freaking JOKE.. Be aware this shop is a joke and take your vehicles elsewhere for honest mechanics to work on it. Darrell is a liar saying he would get me a ride than changing his story. These guys are my neighborhood mechanics right around the corner. Service has always been friendly and as prompt as possible. Sometimes seems a bit over-priced, but they do have some nice financing options available. Don't really know what else to say about them, other than my car always comes out in better condition than it goes in. read more

I arrived in Laveen in the evening after a 4 hour drive to take my husband to the hospital. During that drive, my car started making a seriously scary screeching sound, so I located this business on the internet which was near where I was staying. Since they opened at 7am, I arrived at 6:45 to try to be first in line so I could get back to the hospital. Daniel Markovitz, the manager, was at work early and without me begging to go in early, actually invited me in... before 7am! He was not only helpful, but once the problem was identified, explained everything in detail, kept in touch during the whole repair, and in the end the car was working like new (and....so was the husband!) I'm definitely a fan! read more

Do NOT go to this Firestone!!! I repeat. Do NOT go to this Firestone!!! There is no zero star option, so a one star rating will do. Save your hard earn money and go to another Firestone, because this specific Firestone is deceitful and just wants to take your money! They ripped me off from with a little fix I could have done myself. First of all, I gave them a clear explanation of what the problem was and what I wanted done. But this specific Firestone employee was untruthful and told me the problem will be fixed. So i agreed to whatever needed to be done. So then I waited an hour an half, and when they finished, I found out THEY DID NOT EVEN FIX THE PROBLEM. I was charged for something that was not even fixed........ This employee then tells me that this problem is my fault! This could have all been avoided if this certain Firestone employee was truthful in the first place, I could have been on my merry way... I suggest you go the extra miles to another Firestone; for this Firestone is the worst establishment I have ever dealt with in my entire life!!!! read more

I took my truck to this place few months ago for the first time to get an oil change and to get my a/c fix, prices are very high but at the time I needed my a/c fix, after dropping almost 800 I was happy with the work even that the price was little to high, after few days later my a/c start making a noise but was still working so I didn't think it was a big deal so I let it slide, now that it's been cold and I try to use my heater I just find out it doesn't work, so today I took my truck to get an oil change and I told the a guy name john about the issue with my heater and that I never had a issue until they took my truck apart few months ago to work on the a/c, I was not looking for a handout I was looking more for a let me check it out and see what's going on, but instead I got , it's no way it was us we didn't touch your heater we just work on your a/c, and I cant keep discussing this with you because I have to answer the phones, I guess I was not that important because I wasn't drooping the same amount of cash that I did last time and it was just an oil change, I guess now I'm not a value customer for sure won't come back or refer anyone here. read more

I went in with a check engine light and a rattling belt tensioner. Wanted them to to do a diagnostic test and to replace the tensioner. I made an appointment at 1 o'clock. Was told they'd be able to change the tensioner and do the test that same day. I waited 5 hours, and my car had yet to be worked on. I decided to take a Lyft home and return the following day. I called over the next morning to check the progress, and was told they were just starting to work on it. I waited an additional 2 hours and finally got a callback saying that my water pump, belt tensioner, a seized spark plug, and 2 ignition coils, one of which I just changed a month ago, needed to be changed. They told me they could do all of this for $800. I felt like I was being scammed, so I told them to just remove the spark plug. They told me that the total for that + the diagnostic test would be $250. Still felt like I was being scammed because any other respectable shop would've put the test fee toward the repairs. So I got them to go down on the price by $100. Finally get my car back and take it home. Went and bought 1 ignition coil and the belt tensioner and replaced those. Also looked at the brand new coil that they said was bad and noticed a bent metal prong inside the connector. I bent it back, and now my car runs just like new. I was being scammed! First of all, it's pretty disgusting that a trained mechanic wouldn't take the time to look over an obvious NEW part to find a problem, instead of being so quick to charge someone to replace it. Second of all, it's even more disgusting that they didn't listen to me when I said I just wanted the belt tensioner replaced, and instead tried to charge me for a new water pump! This place is a joke. I truly don't know how you sleep at night knowing that you probably pull this scam off successfully with 80% of your customers. read more

Normally not the Firestone location I go to but I called to check up on their deals they had on their brakes. After an hour the guy tells me that I needed brakes so he gives me an estimate. Then he tells me I also needed four new tires. I wanted to get a deal so I went to brakes plus and see what they can do for me. After they checked my brakes they told me I didn't need brakes after all. They still had plenty to go. The guy that works there I've known for quite some time. I was curious so I did an inspection of my own. It turned out that they were right. I would calculate that it was about 3 + quarters worth of width (each quarter is about 1.75 mm). So it was more than the "3 mm " they told me my brakes had. The rear tires were almost like new so I just had to rotate them which is something that wasn't offered. I will no longer go to this location. I gave it a try since it was close to home but I will rather make the drive for honesty. read more

Giving 1 star after two different poor interactions. The first time I dropped my truck off with them after having an early appointment for an oil change. My truck took all day. My truck was the last to be serviced. I decided that they were probably just busy, and I understood. I went back to get my fuel filters changed, a service I've previously had done there before too. I told them when setting my 9AM appointment,I had to go to work and I needed my truck by 2 PM. They said it wouldn't be a problem. 2 PM rolls around and I hadn't heard anything so I had to call them and they said that they ordered the wrong part and they wouldn't be done until after 5 and that they would stay to finish it. I was upset that nobody called me to let me know this so I had to let my supervisor know I wasn't going to be in because last minute I didn't have a ride. Then when we went to check out, they tried to charge me $200 more for the exact same service and filter that I had there before. I showed them my old receipt from just a few month prior and he had no explanation other than, "I don't know what to say." Makes me believe it possibly was a mistake due to ordering the wrong part. We began to tell him how upset we were that we didn't have the car by 2PM and his response is "well we've been busy and there was a lot of cars before you and I need to get my guys out of here, so is there anything else?" We asked why nobody communicated all of this to us and he said, well you should've assume that's what the call was for." We corrected him by saying we called them after the 2PM deadline, they didn't call us to keep us posted. Jaime was informative and came off cold and rude. We told him this would probably be our last visit with Firestone and he said, "that's your choice, feel free to go elsewhere" and when we left he proceeded to say, "id tell you to come back soon but I already know you guys won't, so have a good day." Overall, I wish they would've not let us schedule our appointment if they were already too busy. Then when they fell behind, I would've appreciated a phone call and not me having to contact them after the expected finish time. Jaime did give us a nice discount after we pointed out the price difference. His customer service was poor and he's right, this will probably be the last time we use Firestone read more

This Firestone is no good! First off, when i came here to get tire flat, they cause me to get a death wobble on my jeep. I know its a common thing for jeeps but i was fine driving on the jeep on the freeway 40 miles to and from work fine. Yea till I got to this firestone. Second thing I go here to get my tire flat fixed, they told me it was not repairable to close to the wall, which clearly wasn't. Then had them swap tire with my spare. Rep goes on about me buying a new tire. Which I didn't. So they go on swap my tires, and on top of that go on with the unnecessary checks they do. Checking my blinkers, headlights, battery check. which i did not need. The next day I go down the street to the local neighborhood mom and pop tire shop. where they were able to patched the tires. And also where i ended up with a dead battery cause of Firestone leaving my headlights on. Which is part of my fault for not catching it, but mainly caused by Firestone leaving it on! Do not go here!!! I guarantee better service elsewhere 100 percent. P.S I came back here because it was on a Sunday, one of the few auto shops open on a Sunday. Didn't have much choice. read more

I left Firestone years ago but had a nail in a tire and they were open on Sunday, so I gave them a try. They said the tire was not repairable and it would cost $245 plus tax to repairs it and they did not have it in stock so I would have to reschedule for tomorrow with a two and half hour wait. I aired up the tire and went to Discount Tire today where they not only patched the tire that Firestone said was not repairable, but at no charge and I was in and out in 15 minutes. Something needs to be done for customer service and honosty if Firestone wants to continue in business.. read more

My truck needed needed a new clutch and I was lucky enough to break down within walking distance of this Firestone. Everyone was extremely helpful. They got the clutch replaced, as well as did an oil change. After a week the clutch was not working properly so I took it back and we scheduled a time I could have the clutch replaced again, but with a better quality part, at no cost to me. Customer satisfaction is a high priority and it showed. The mechanic, Michael Huang, was very thorough and knowledgable. I knew my truck was in good hands. read more

I had Larry H Miller Dodge in Avondale tell me I had an evap leak behind the dash that was going to cost $1500-$1700. I took it to Firestone and John was able to diagnose it as a bad Schrader Valve and replaced it for $142. This place is amazing.. Thanks Guys :) read more

One of the employees was kind of rude. I walked in here expecting that I could get my oil changed same day. The first question the woman asked me was if I had an appointment? I said "No." This was the only time I have walked into a firestone and they could not give me service same day. I lived in North Phoenix a couple of months back and they were always able to take me despite living near the metro center mall. Irony anyone? read more
