Natalie made our bottomless brunch experience at Fire Works Pizza absolutely fantastic! She was attentive, upbeat, and kept the drinks flowing without us ever having to ask. She checked in often, made great menu suggestions, and created such a fun, welcoming atmosphere for our table. The food and brunch specials were great, but Natalie's service really stood out and made the whole experience even better. We'll definitely be coming back for brunch again!

Where is the sauce?! Pizza is so dry..

Their pizza box says, "It's love in a box" and I must disagree. My husband placed an order for pick up this evening and this is the driest pizza I EVER had. I think the pizza was estimated to be ready in 20 min but it was ready in 10, so it was sitting for 10 minutes until he arrived. I've ordered lots of pizza and have let it sit for 10 minutes and it never was dry like this. I LOVE wood fired pizza but this pizza lacks tomato sauce and the chicken they use is so thinly sliced so when placed in a wood fired oven, it's dry as the Sahara desert. PLEASE add more sauce to your pizzas and change the chicken you use. I gave two stars because of how quick the service was. #Thatsit

I got there after my flight into DC on a Monday evening since it was around the corner from my hotel. I was sat in a booth near the bar. It was nice to watch the wood fire grill burning and people watch. I ordered the happy hour cheesy bread and a glass of wine. The menu was huge so it took some time to look at it, though I still landed on a pizza with onions, pepperoni, olives, and red pepper flakes. It came out first and then my cheesy bread came out (I almost thought they forgot it). So I was a little disappointed by that, especially since the 10" pizza was so large that I regretted getting the cheesy bread. The food was hot and tasty and the server was great. Just be aware about the portion sizes and pacing of your food order!

I was on a business trip and Fireworks was near my hotel. It was a basic bar and grill style restaurant with plenty of seating in the bar area. I didn't really feel like having pizza so I ordered a Cobb salad but the Cajun pasta also looked good They were both above average for a typical bar and grill. Cobb salad had all the right ingredients, the lettuce was crisp and fresh and the chicken was well cooked and hot -- I hate it when the grilled chicken is lukewarm or even cold and you can't tell if it was just cooked or a week old. The Cajun pasta was also well above average for a bar and grill. Seasoning was just right -- I but of a kick but not overwhelming. There was chicken, shrimp, and sausage in good amounts and the shrimp was not overcooked as it sometimes is when you mix it in with other proteins. Service was good and friendly. (The picture of the pizza is from the lunch the following day - it was good too)

I've recently had some really good beers at Fire works, most notably are the oatmeal raisin cookie porter, the old busthead west coast ipa, mustang sally amber ale, the canned IPA pictured below. The tap list which is like 30 local craft beers is fire here. The pizzas including black sheep et al. Are very good too. The THS wings are excellent as well! Service is always good and the vibe is super chill and friendly! Will be back soon!

Lunch special: mini-pizza (Gorgonzola for me!) and side caesar salad.

I live in DC but sometimes go to the movies in the Court House section of Arlington, which gave me the chance to discover Fireworks Pizza. Now I go every time I go to the movies. They're incredibly welcoming, always making me feel they appreciate my visit. They have gorgonzola cheese for the pizzas, which is hard to find around here! They are accommodating in terms of changes to the menu, which is always great. They have weekly trivia nights -- fun! Finally, they offer a wonderful $11.95 lunch special. I love the mini-pizza (perfect for a pre-movie lunch) and salad. I'm very happy I discovered Fireworks!

A friend and I came here for lunch on a Friday. It was easy to get a seat at the bar. We had the Dynamite Shrimp, Brussels sprouts, sliders, and bacon fat fries. It was all very good. Portions were large- there was more than we could eat. They also had a delicious mango cocktail. It has a nice neighborhood vibe to it. Could see making it a regular stop if I lived closer.

Place is great, THS Wings and Sweet Heat are the move here. My friend Benji put me onto this place and I'd recommend everyone else as well. I've got to try other stuff like the desserts but haven't because I always show up later in the night when they're about to close to just pizzas. We've had Cameron as our Bartender most time(s) and had Rose and Devin a few occasions. 10/10 would recommend.

I would suggest incorporating drinks into the brunch somehow.
    Kim N.

We came for the brunch from seeing an advertisement from TikTok. Rose, our server explained the stipulations of brunch ($33 endless food, drinks not included) and took our orders. Her energy was off, as if she didn't want to serve us. Food was good at the beginning of brunch, some dishes better than others. As the brunch continued, the quality began to diminish of the food & our server would rush us to order & insist it be all at once. The time we went it was not too crowded, and a mix of families, couples, and groups.

Not sure, because they botched our order of ONE pizza
    Cyrus A.

Fire Works, how the slightly above average have fallen. This place is now decidedly below mediocre, with average food and just plain bad service. If you like waiting long for a botched order and plain pizza, this is your spot. The food can only be described as average. The pizza was oily, and the crust was soggy/floppy, it looked soaked even from the first slice off the plate. Service is incredibly haphazard, we saw a table of four get seated, order, and get their appetizers before we were asked to order our drinks. How is that a reasonable way to run a restaurant? Until this place figures out its operations and tightens up its kitchen, it's definitely skippable given how many other options there are nearby. No fireworks here, just shooting blanks.

Good service but mediocre food. Drinks were pretty good. Came for brunch and tried a bit of everything on the menu. The pizza, which I was looking forward to, left much to be desired.

Once we arrived, our server attended to our group with grace and warmth. My friends enjoyed their food, from the pizza to the chicken parmesan to the pasta. Toward the end of the meal, I was able to choose a complimentary dessert, and went for my server's recommendation, the pistachio cake. As the meal wrapped up, we were stunned when the lights went out (a few of us thought the power went out). However, it was a dramatic transition into me being surprised with cake and song! A Modo Mio offers many food specials. For example, on Tuesdays, that's when we stopped there for…read moredinner, all their pasta dishes are 1/2 price. However, given that they ranked 32nd among this country's top 50 Pizza restaurants, I had to order a pizza. And I'll get to my pizza after I discuss some other things, because it all plays together. Also, during my visit, I kept drawing comparisons between this place and Pupatella, a local Neapolitan pizza juggernaut. The Big Question to answer is why A Modo Mio got a spot on the Top 50 while Pupatella didn't even make the cut. Access is easy, and parking is good. There are lots of spaces that wrap around the restaurant. That's in contrast to Pupatell, which has limited parking and where I always wind up using the Safeway lot across the street. The restaurant is clean and spacious, with plenty of comfortable seating. It also has a long, well-stocked bar where you can sit to enjoy a beverage or a meal. Pupatella doesn't have any of that. When you arrive, you're greeted by a host who shows you to your seat. A very short while later, a waiter shows up and does all the things waiters do. At Pupatella, you wait in line to place your order, then find an open table. TLDR: Your dining experience, outside of the food, is much more civilized and relaxing at A Modo Mio. The pie that earned their 32 out of 50 ranking was the Sicilia. But I ordered a 12" Casertana because I'm not crazy about eggplant and like sausage. The pie arrived a short while later, piping hot and loaded with sausage. The taste was sublime and delicious. My only complaint was that the basil was added before baking, and I prefer that herb when it's not reduced to ash. So back to The Big Question, is the A Modo Mio pizza *that* much better than Pupatella that it earned a spot amongst the Top 50 while the other one didn't even make the cut? Frankly, it's not. It is good pizza... possibly great pizza. But that's also true of the other place. What sets A Modo Mio apart from that other place, and the answer to the Big Question, is that the criteria for generating the Top 50 list included more than the pizza. It also took into account: - Hospitality and Service - Ambiance - Beverage Program. Beyond the pizza, A Modo Mio has those things in abundance, while the other place pretty much has none. TLDR: Comparing pizzas side by side, the two places are on par. However, if you take into account the entire dining experience, you will be much happier with your pizza here, as opposed to that other place or most other pizza restaurants in the DMV area.

There's so much parking in this area and they have indoor and outdoor seating. One of the things I really liked is that they seem to have specials three or four days a week if I remember correctly, I think Mondays are half off wine bottles. Tuesdays are 30% off the menu or maybe that was happy hour Monday through Friday and then Wednesdays is half off pizzas and then Thursdays was a sale on cocktails. One of the disappointing things right off the bat was that they took my 7:30 PM reservation and even texted me at 7 PM to make sure I was still coming at 7:30 but nobody ever mentioned that they would close the kitchen promptly at 8 PM, which meant my New Year's Eve dinner was extremely rushed. By 745 I already had to put in my drinks, appetizer, entrées, and desserts. Had I known that they were going to close the kitchen at 8 PM I either would have gone to another place or asked to change my reservation for an earlier time. At 8 PM most of the restaurant was empty, but they still had about four tables, including ours still filled along with two or three folks at the bar. Another thing to note is that they will automatically add 20% gratuity to your bill so please keep that in mind. As far as the food goes, I will say that the pizzas were really good and a small pizza comes with four big slices and a large pizza comes with eight big slices. Personally, I really enjoyed the dough and it was very flavorful, but slightly undercooked. They are known for their Neapolitan style pizzas, and it really shine through. I also got the opportunity to try the lasagna Bolognese, which came sizzling and what seemed to be a mini cast-iron pot. It was evident that this was pre-cooked though and reheated in this pot/pan but what was disappointing was that the bottom layers were sizzling hot but the top layers were room temperature and unfortunately, since the kitchen was closed, I didn't have the opportunity to get that taken care of. I would definitely come back and give them a shot especially because they have weekly deals, but it was truly a disappointment that they took a 730 reservation weeks ago, knowing that they intended on closing at 8 PM. As we were leaving, we got the opportunity to meet one of the restaurant partners and they were so kind; it's evident that this restaurant has regulars and I look forward to my next visit and seeing what it's like when I have more time to eat and enjoy.
