Great Pizza place in the Courthouse area if you're not looking to give your money to the big Pizza conglomerates. They have a large menu of options and I believe you can do custom pizzas as well if you wanted to. I opted for the Bianco white pizza since I wasn't in the mood for meat (a lot of their pizzas do have meat FYI). The Bianco pizza came with feta, roasted peppers, and white sauce amongst other toppings. It was the perfect mixture of sweet and savory pizza. The large is big enough to share between two people or maybe even 3 if you're all not hungry. They also do carryout at this location which made it a lot easier. Pickup was nice and easy and there's plenty of street parking out front to get in and get out quickly. Definitely recommend as an alternative to the big Pizza chains! read more

Been here a couple of times for happy hour which is always good but finally came in for dinner. I have always enjoyed this place until now and that's mainly due to the service. Drinks: Their drink menu is extensive and they have a ton of things on draft. I had a cranberry cider which was amazing and then one of their cocktails that was on draft and that was good as well. Food: We started with the garlic knots which really are not that impressive. They needed a lot more flavor. I had the cuban sandwich and it just felt like it was missing something to pull it all together. My friend had a pizza and it was actually really really good. I ended up eating some of hers and I would definitely get it again. Service: I had the same waitress that I had the last time I was here and there have been no improvements from her. Our drinks got messed up twice along with the side for my entree. Normally if it happens once it's like whatever, stuff happens, but three times? She also was MIA for a long time. Fire Works is always packed with people sitting outside. They have outdoor tables that seem like they are good for socially distanced outings, although I only ordered pick up from them. I ordered around 7:45 on Saturday and the food was ready about 45 minutes later. When I went to pick up the food, the inside of the restaurant was cutely decorated with plenty of holiday decor. I ordered the pesto pizza with chicken added on. I thought it was okay, but a bit overpriced for what it was. My boyfriend built his own calzone and really enjoyed it though, so it may just be that I'm not the biggest thin crust fan. Came here Sunday night. We were seated right away by the hostess. We were sat in the back by the washroom. There were several open tables. We ordered an appetizer, pizza and a few beers. The tab came out to less than $60 so not bad. The chorizo jalapeño poppers didn't taste anything like chorizo. Maybe they forgot to put chorizo on it? They tasted like cheese on a jalapeño yeah wasn't cooked. It was hard. The pizza was just ok. It lacked flavor, like some garlic, garlic salt or some type of salty cheese. It was bland. I did like that it was thin crust but the crust could be a bit thicker just to hold up the ingredients. The beer selection here is great which is why they get two starts. They have several different beers on tap. As far as COVID protocols they aren't really following them. When I was eating I could see a waiter in the back room rolling up silverware not wearing a mask while doing so. I'm not sure what happens behind closed doors but if I could clearly see him and he didn't put on his mask then I'm not sure what other covid protocols are not being followed. The restrooms were not clean. There was a stall without TP. Lastly, When we were leaving there was another worker talking to two coworkers who also had his mask down. He only pulled it up as he saw us walking toward the front of the restaurant. In the host area there was a homeless person that was just standing there. Tables are spaced appropriately. The food and drinks are all great. They are known for their wood fired pizza, but their menu is diverse enough for anyone. Their beer list is perfect for me because they carry alot of local craft brews, which shows their commitment to supporting local businesses. I admit I have a little bias because my friend is a manager, but when I wanted to have a going away luncheon for a co-worker I knew I could talk to my friend and feel safe with his team hosting my team for a meal and opportunity to reconnect after months of social distancing. I must preface that I come from New Jersey, aka the Pizza Capital of the world. I forgot the difference in standards when my friend that lives in the area said the pizza was "great" here. I was sadly, disappointed. However, what was not disappointing was that small salad. That exceeded expectations. It was delicious! It even had little sunflower seeds on it for a nice crunch! They also had hard Kombucha which was awesome because it's actually the first time I have seen it out on a menu and they had 2 flavors. The goat cheesed stuffed lamb meatballs were also a little disappointing, they were definitely not ~stuffed~ with goat cheese. Flavor was good, amount of goat cheese was sad. My boyfriend and I have visited this establishment a couple of times after date night. First time was 7/4 and it was late. We sat at the tables at the bar. Our guy was pretty cool( I think this was his last day working there and never got his name). We ordered Bacon Fat Fries, Garlic Knots, Mozzarella Bites and then Pizza. Everything was good except they forgot to put the bacon on the.... BACON fat fries.... they ended up taking it off the bill, but the visit was pleasant. Just make sure the ladies restroom is stocked on toilet paper. So the next visit was yesterday( 7/8). We were tired from the movie so we decided to order to go. We wanted to see how the actual bacon fat fries were since it was a bust last time so we ordered those and our same pizza. This time i added chocolate chip cookies to the order. So we waited about 15 mins. Food comes out. we go to check.. I would suggest NOT getting the bacon fat fries. A box of fries with about 4 small cut up pieces of bacon. Not worth it. Was disappointed. Pizza looked amazing as always. Checked out the cookies..... Looked like store bought from the dollar tree. Subways cookies taste A Lot better. Was disappointed in that. So lesson learned. If we decide to go back, we will just stick with pizza. If we have a big hankering for pizza then we will be back. Pleasant place. Love the outdoor seating. My family and I were visiting family and friends for an Arlington funeral, when one night we opted to stay in for pizza. We landed on Fire Works Pizza as it had a little of everything for everyone! First, let me comment on how AWESOME the person was when taking my order over the phone! I had to make 4 separate orders for pick up, and as prepared as I was to make things the least complicated as possible we STILL wound up with several last minute changes/requests with each order. I'm sure this was frustrating, or at the very least annoying, for the person on the other line but they never made it known, so GREAT customer service as far as I can tell! (My husband and FIL picked up the food and did not comment on service, so this is all I have here!) As for the food, between 4 orders we wound up with 4 pies, 2 lasagnas, 3 salads, garlic knots, the lemon basil chicken sandwich and the fireworks sampler. For those that had the pizza, which included everything from plain cheese (for the toddlers) to anchovies (for the older men) there weren't any complaints! As for me, I had the steak salad, which was really good! The steak was cooked well and was very flavorful. I was told that the lemon basil chicken and the lasagna were also very good choices. I did not have any of the sampler appetizer due to dietary limitations, but did enjoy the garlic knots! They were pretty basic with some garlic seasoning and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on it with marinara for dipping. All in all, a great place for a low key night in at the hotel with a good and tasty variety of items for all to choose from. read more

Their BRUNCH is AWESOME! Such a good deal - $28 dollars for all you can eat, and the menu offerings are qiute lengthy. There are also drinks you can add on for $1-$5 per drink (mimosas are $1) OR you can get bottomless mimosas for $6! We had such a nice server, atttentive and friendly. You can choose options from the brunch menu, the snacks menu, and some of the salads. The favorite options from the brunch menu were the goat cheese stuffed lamb meatballs, breakfast rolls, omelette, mac and cheese, biscuits and sausage gravy, yogurt parfait, and egg benefict. Great place for outdoor seating during the covid era. Some of the seating is also away from the street in a courtyard area, which makes it feel comfortable and peaceful. To start out, we had the garlic knots which were fresh and hot. Terrific appetizer to start out with. Had the small greek salad which was quite good. Liked the tzatziki sauce along with the feta cheese in it. I had the Margherita pizza was was enjoyable. I like the crust to be a little crispier, but still ate all of it. The sauce was okay, but I've had better. Our service was on point and my cup of water was consistently refilled. The pizza is good, but not great. The atmosphere was fun and terrific for big groups. I've patronized Fire Works at Clarendon many times and have had good food and service. Yet, my last visit was less than comfortable. In my small party, we were served by a waitress, Nathaly, who presented herself as facially glum and impersonal. More importantly, at the end of the meal, holding her hand-held device, she announced the cost of the check. She did not bring a written check as requested. Personally, I wanted to review the charges for accuracy as often times there can be mis-charges. Moreover, I did not think it was appropriate to announce to my party the final price of the check. As an aside, I believe customers should not be put in a position to accept the "word" of the server on the final check amount or to be required to hold or look at the computer screen to review the bill. This tactic presents an awkward stance in front of your guests while the waitress stands aside awaiting payment. Rather, simply give the customer a paper check to be reviewed before payment is made. After all, such a small paper-check printout cannot be that expensive. read more

One pizza had way too much cheese and one had hardly any cheese and way too many minced-to-the-point-of-being-paste toppings. Neither pie had enough sauce. Beer was great and served cold. We would have ordered another 4 for the table but our server was MIA for the entire time after we ordered. Service was appalling. It was not because they were busy or that the server had a lot of tables. From the start, the host was unsmiling the ENTIRE time, led us to a table, dropped the menus and walked away without a word. Our server was attentive until we ordered. Our appetizers were never delivered. Someone else dropped off the pizza. We had to ask the "charming" host for our check. No thanks! Drove to the restaurant and arrived there 5 minutes after the text came. No phone number was given on the text so I waited at the curbside. Nobody came. Went inside to see what was happening. I was told rather abruptly by the staff that curbside delivery meant I should call when I was there - even though no phone number was given. I was then told the order wasn't ready yet. The shift manager came to explain but also was rather rude saying I wasn't following the procedure for curbside delivery. No apology for the fact I had a message saying the order was ready several minutes earlier. This was not the way I expected to be treated. I gave up at that point. A customer does not need to be spoken to that way. read more

This is a great place for any meal of the day especially if you are craving a really good pizza (no Dominos doesn't count). I have been to this place twice in the last 2 weeks and definitely enjoyed everything that I've ordered! First visit was with a friend and we both tried different beers and I remember really liking my beer that I had to take a picture of the can so I won't forget. We split the Virginia Luau which is essentially a Hawaiian pizza. It was delicious and the toppings went really well together! That was a really enjoyable meal. Second visit was with a group of friends and we ordered 4 different kinds of pizza: Guadalajara, one with artichoke and eggplants, vegetarian and another with mushrooms (don't remember all the names, sorry!). All the pizzas were delicious but my favorite was probably the one with eggplants and artichokes! We also ordered calamari and the buffalo chicken dip for appetizers. The sauce for the calamari was really good, but the calamari is okay. The buffalo chicken dip needs more hot sauce and less cream cheese, they need to work on that. My friends also ordered craft beers which everyone enjoyed! The service was great and our server was extremely friendly! We ordered a dessert to share which was the cookie brownie with ice cream on top, omg it was fabulous! We will definitely come back here again. Also, happy hour is only at the bar until 7pm. They have outside seating and parking in the area is not as bad as the rest of Arlington. Bartenders were nice and servers made the experience good. I order take out yesterday. I ordered a pizza and an appetizer sampler. The wait wasn't bad, food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I walked around the corner to my place (again, super close). The pizza was hard and dried out... the appetizers were the same. Mozzarella balls had no flavor at all. The wings were overdone and dry....I've had these same things there before and this time it was horrible. Spent $40 and had to try to find something different to eat. Mixed feelings- Ambiance- 5/5, big outdoor patio for Arlington, dogs allowed, indoor looked nice too. Good for kids. Service- 3/5 if being nice, possible we just came on a bad day. We had a wait for a table (obvi fine), very long wait to grab a drink at the bar (gave up after not being able to get served), once we sat it took a little longer than 20 mins to get a waiter (looking at time stamp from when we got the text our table was ready). Staff at front were friendly. Food- it was okay. Fried zucchini and fries pretty good. Pizza was fine, wouldn't get again for me or maybe ask for extra sauce? Beer list good. Absolutely top notch service from Jeanine! Unquestionably five stars if it were based on her alone. She basically helped me plan out my entire meal because I was so indecisive and she absolutely nailed it. Good thing to know if you're a night owl - pizza only during their last hour of business, so that does limit your options a little bit. Luckily I wanted pizza anyway and rolled in at 9:55 so I still snuck in an appetizer. I knew I wanted an appetizer but was between the lamb and goat cheese meatballs or the garlic knots - but she wisely pointed out that the garlic knots are similar enough to the pizza crust that I should spring for the meatballs if I knew I wanted a pizza. The meatballs came out VERY quickly, which was a little concerning - definitely not made to order. I think they could have used some more cheese to really live up to the name, but they were good meatballs nonetheless - nothing to write home about though. Again, being indecisive I was told that I had the option for splitting a personal pizza with two of the menu options, which I assumed I couldn't do with such a small pie. Per her recommendation, I got half Virginia Luau and half Segundo, which initially seemed like it might be an odd pairing but it was actually perfect - you get the fruits to pull the two together and it wasn't too meat-heavy after the meatballs, just a little ham and bacon respectively. This combination was out of the park and I highly recommend it - I personally liked Segundo a bit more though, maybe because it was so unique and I felt like the Virginia Luau was basically your standard Hawaiian pizza. If you like a visual before you order, if you go to order online you can see what each pizza looks like in its final form. I'm not necessarily one to say you should judge a book by its cover, but sometimes you see a picture that looks appetizing and want to know what it is - that's your ticket. This isn't my favorite pizza place ever, but it sure beats your run of the mill chain restaurant and has some unique offerings. Located in the heart of the area, it's nicely placed in a courtyard that zips great for conversation and people watching. The hostess said that dogs are only allowed in the front patio so we had to sit with the sun in our eyes. My friend has been here several times and says her dog was always allowed on the side. I'm not sure if there was a change in policy or if the hostess was misinformed. The food itself was fine. The waitress was training another young woman and they were both excellent.
