Stopped in yesterday to get new kicks for the kids. The store was very busy and crowded with shoppers. There seemed to be a bunch of staff working but it felt very chaotic. After the kids picked out the shoes they wanted to try on, I went and found someone to go get the right sizes to try on. They were gone for a pretty long time. I wasn't sure if they forgot about us or if the back is disorganized and takes a while to look through the shoes. We selected the pairs we wanted and got in line to pay. I can see why the negative reviews about customer service. It is very chaotic in the store. It feels like these clerks need more training and support to be more effective and also some hustle to move faster. During our visit, the clerks seemed genuinely overwhelmed with the crowds. I think it might be helpful if they had a system created for them or were coached to work in zones when it gets that busy. Having a clerk assigned to a section of the store to cover the patrons there. They had one person who worked the register and another person was counting out a drawer in the middle of this crazy crush. That could have probably waited or shouldn't have been done in the middle of a shift. There are only a handful of shoe stores in the mall that have these brands and selection. They could really excel if they could manage to organize a bit more. read more

I usually hate shoe shopping but this store has made it pretty enjoyable for me. I came in to find some running and workout shoes but I am not knowledgeable about shoes at all. Luckily one of their amazing sales persons Aelyn took the time to help me find the shoe that would work best for what I needed. Kimmy the so called manager needs to be let go or enrolled in a customer service course. Profit isn't turning away PAYING customers 30-min ahead of closing. If you're not selling shoes, closes your doors. I'm not a Karen but refusing to give a customer a size after browsing for 20 minutes and having the entire sales sales floor team visibly questioning your decisions and authority isn't a good show for the business. We were attempting to purchase 30-minutes ahead of closing and my husband was refused size trial as it was "too late" noted by Aeyln. When my husband called me frustrated I showed up to the store and spoke with Zay , who gave us amazing service despite the frustration. She easily searched our size, and rang us up for our order and the entire time the manager on duty (Kimmy) was threatening to kick us out of the store (yes, paying customers), while her team was questioning her refusal to sell shoes and apologizing for Kimmy's threat to kick us out of the store for simply speaking to other customers going through the same struggle. read more

I came into FL to pick out a pair of ON's and it was pretty chaotic. There are TONS of workers at this location, but as others have mentioned it takes them a long time to get the shoes for you to try on and they don't let you try on both pairs. I don't know about you, but I gotta try on both pairs so I know that everything fits properly . I have to laugh about this experience because the sales associate asked me how I liked the shoe, and when I mentioned that I'd like to try both shoes, she gave me a blank stare. I suppose this is finish lines method for loss prevention, but it was honestly a disappointing experience. I ended up going to another store that sold ON's and purchasing the item there. read more

My boyfriend and I drove to Denver from Montana for the weekend and popped into Finish Line to buy my boyfriend some new Air Forces. We were greeted right away by the staff, the store was clean and organized, and I was impressed by their selection and even more impressed that they had multiples of my boyfriend's size in stock. Oliver and Daisy spent a great deal of their time helping us and I can't express how fantastic both of them were! They treated us like old friends. Daisy went to the back twice to find the perfect pair of white Air Forces with no marks on them. Then Oliver proceeded to show me how to clean them and keep them looking fresh. They recommended all the products we needed to keep them looking brand new and were so friendly and polite despite me inspecting each pair of shoes for marks and scuffs. Oliver and Daisy went above and beyond providing excellent customer service, and next time we visit Denver we will definitely come back to the Finish Line in Cherry Creek Mall!! read more

Your one shoe policy is ridiculous, especially when you have extra staff standing around. Who has two feet the same size? Wearing one shoe and a sock on the other foot and limping around your store is no way to be able to buy shoes. I will not be coming back, and thankfully, I will be sharing this with all of my friends and letting them know that they should not come to your store either. Better customer service would be to have one of the staff members working with the customer to make sure that both shoes fit well rather than worrying about people walking out of the store with the shoes... especially at a high-end mall. read more

Should have read the reviews. Wow. Won't be back. I needed some good shoes for work in healthcare. They carry brooks and OC. The kid who couldn't be bothered brings one of each. It's a store policy to only bring one shoe out. How can you tell how shoes feel if you can't put them on? He tells me there's nothing he can do and then walks away... uh... hello? Then when I track him down-- mind you I'm like one of two people in this store-- I asked what the difference is between two styles-- his answer-- "I think it's the design." Uh. Ok. Unreal....that's how bad the service was at this Finish Line! (1/21/12 @ around 7pm) As I walked in I noticed 4 young guys who worked there doing nothing but talking to each other and throwing a balled up piece of paper at each other while other customers continued to look on there own. I did see 1 guy getting a pair of shoes for a customer but he still had to dodge the 'ball of paper' that was thrown at him as he was taking the shoes to the customer. I stood there looking at shoes for at least 5 minutes and was never greeted or even given a hello or I'll be right with you, the store had only 2 other customers in the store at this time. (4 staff members vs. 3 customers....pretty god odds for the customer you would think) I then picked up a pair of shoes and looked around for someone to ask me if I'd like to try them or can I get you anything, but nope the screwing around continued with throwing crap at each other. So that just encourage me to go to Sports Authority, where I was greeted and there was a staff member at the shoe department to help and let me know of the sale that was going on, good job SA!!! This was not my first trip to this store where service the was bad but it was our families last time. Shoes are expensive and when you've got 3 kids it's real expensive. I know having high school/ college age kids working for you is difficult to trust but there is usually someone around to supervise the staff. I was really surprised when I saw how many poor ratings these guys got. I had excellent service today.. When one shoe didn't come in my size, the associate brought me my second choice in varying colors and sizes just to make sure I got what I liked. He even notified me that the socks I wanted were two-for-one. The manager was on-site; all employees were well behaved. I don't think I got special treatment just because I'm a female in my 20s; there was a senior woman nearby who received excellent customer service as well. Cherry creek finish line customer service, in general, is horrible. I Bought shoes in store with a CC, they didn't have my size and convinced me to have them shipped to my house. I needed them for an event on the weekend, so it was important I received them. I knew I should have went elsewhere, but they convinced me this wasn't an issue. They even found the shoes at another store, so they were very confident, I would received. Tracking receipt and employee said 4-5 days. 5 days go by, no shoes. Wait the weekend, nothing. Call the store, store says wait another day- no shoes still. Call store next day and they said shoes were cancelled. Store Refers me to customer service. Call customer service. They say shoes cancelled because they didn't have in anywhere. So they cancelled 5 days after I was supposed to receive them- NO NOTICE, NO EMAILS, NO PHONE CALL. Customer service says, we are sending a check. I said, you have $170 of mine, without anything to show, I'm not here to give you a 3-4 week loan, credit the card like every other business in the world. It's not a money thing, it's the principle, why should I pay for shoes I never received and then have to deposit a check, wait for that to clear and take the time and effort to do all of this. It's your screw up- not mine. They wouldn't credit the card the back- that's fine. Unfortunately for them, the many thousands we spend at finish line every ear, particularly this finish line in cherry creek, will never get one cent out of me, ever. When you charge $170 for a pair of shoes, and receive Horrible customer service- it ends there. On top of this, their business practices are very outdated. Seriously, a check that comes 5-8 days later, once the order is cancelled, is completely unacceptable. They have nice shoes, but don't buy and get delivered, especially if you need them. You can find a high price shoe anywhere, there was no special deal. The funniest part about this; they couldn't tell me my shoes were cancelled via email, but I sure receive their promotional deals via email EVERYDAY. An email account I signed up for, just to have the shoes sent to my house, Incase there were problems. If I could give zero stars that would have been my selection. This staff acts annoyed to be at work. The group of young men have no interest in helping you find a shoe that fits. I bought a pair of Nike Free TR2 and they ended up hurting my feet so badly that I ended up in the doctors office. When I tried to return them, I could not because I had worn them. Perhaps if they would have been more interested in doing their jobs and not "hanging out and getting paid," a properly trained sales associate could have fit me in a shoe that works for my foot. I called customer service, and they informed me that the associates are trained, if that is the case, then nobody is holding them accountable...manager! I am sending my shoes to corporate and they said they "might" be able to help me. But again this whole incident could have been avoided if the sales associate would have done their job, rather than be annoyed about helping paying customers. read more
