We stopped here on a whim based on reviews from other Yelp users. The other reviewers did not let us down as this restaurant did not disappoint. They are a donut shop and a restaurant, although most of the donuts were sold out by 9 AM on a Sunday morning. Food and service were great, prices were outstanding. I don't think they've updated pricing since 1992. 4 miles from Hershey Park.

Love the local diner mugs!

We were in the Hershey area for less than 24 hours and tried to find a great place for breakfast. Another place had a 45-minute wait (on a Saturday), so we went to Plan B. Found this charmer! The three of us sat at the counter (great decision, as we didn't have to wait for a table). We not only had a fabulous breakfast meal, but wonderful exchanges with the entire staff -- such great folks all around! The food is spectacular! Love the fact that they do not overs salt anything, but if you want to add it - shakers are everywhere. Excellent diner coffee! Mini croissant slider breakfast is outstanding! My daughter thought the pumpkin pancakes were the bomb (she asked for the addition of chocolate chips -- no problem at all!) I wish we were in the area regularly so we could visit this place more often!

Very nice local mom and pop shop close enough to Hersey Pa while visiting Chocolate World. Very busy on a Thursday morning no tables available so we made do with sitting at the breakfast bar. Service was pretty quick even with it being a full house and two people working the floor. Food was on point. I personally ate the cheeseburger omelette and that hit the spot. Kids got pancakes and sausage , the other kid got strawberry pancakes and the other half got an everything bagel with jelly and crème cheese. Let's not to forget to mention they have a donut shop inside home made. Wow....and that's like a hit all by itself. Numerous people just coming in for a dozen donuts. Definitely a place to check out. Glad I came here and not Bob Evans. And thanks for not playing any weird music it was nice and peaceful.

What a great little spot! This is a cute little diner. I went around 10:00 on a Friday morning. I wasn't expecting it to be packed and having to wait for a table. But - I know that's a sign the food must be good, so I was happy to wait to try this place out! I got one of their specialty pancakes. YUM! I also ordered a side of bacon (cause why not?!) And enjoyed a cup of Lipton hot tea with my meal (a very diner type of tea!) I very much enjoyed my food. We'll be back to try other items on the menu. And to snag some donuts- we were too late to get any this time. It appears that the donuts sell out quickly. They must be really good! The people working there were all very nice too. They spoke about a shop up the street that we ended up going to afterwards to check out. Great recommendation.

Ham n cheese omelet and homefries

Eh, it was okay. My coworker and I visited for lunch. This is a popular place with locals and is usually crowded and today was no different. We both got breakfast including chocolate chip pancakes and omelets. My toast was dry and dark just like I asked. Our omelets were both ordered "fluffy" rather than folded. The omelets were large but mine was lacking in flavor even though it was full of ingredients like peppers, onions, and ham. My coworker said her home fries were nearly raw which seemed surprising since they seemed to have an attractive brown color to them. And she complained that her chocolate chip pancake was overcooked. In fact, I could see the scorched chocolate chips in mine but they didn't bother me because I like everything slightly overdone versus underdone. Overall, I'd probably leave 3.5 stars and coworker would say 3 so 3 stars for us. I've gone before and will go again because it's fast and the food's pretty good but neither of us lived our meals.

Great food. Wonderful staff. Cute place to stop while we were in town. Hotcakes were the main star for me.

Down on the Farm! Good!

Best home fries had in a while! This place was slammed and the staff was working In unison to get it done! Will be back! Need to get here early if you want some of the best donuts in town!

As expected for a Saturday morning full but there were tables. Hear the chatter of diners. However as soon as we walked in a counter person pointed out my son was tall and soon the whole place was staring and commenting ( a little annoyed) ordered anyway the food came out promptly generous sized portions. The food was fresh! Coffee refills quickly. Check out smooth I could see they do a lot of donut sale grabbed 3 of those to try later.

Honky eggs, toasted coconut, peanut butter cream filled and a sour cream donuts.

Palermo's Pizza of Hershey - Pepperoni, mushroom and onion Sicilian pizza

When I brought them pizza, it was always from their old fave. But since I have to drive 30 minutes, the pizza was always tepid by the time we ate. They are not ones to embrace change but today was going to be the day. Palermos's had great ratings and was only 3 miles from them. I ordered directly on the website - they advertise that it's cheaper that way - they're absolutely right. Waze bushwhacked me there and back - traffic was horrendous with families trying to get into the park. Even though I ordered with a specific pick up time, I still had a short wait. I people watched as they came in and out buying individual slices. And the pizza here? Whoa! Amazing! My new fave! I ordered a large Sicilian with mushrooms, onions and pepperoni and a side of fried zucchini. The pizza was absolutely loaded with toppings. I ordered it baked well expecting the crusty burnt cheese on the sides. There was none of that but I would definitely order it that way again. The pizza had 12 large square slices. I struggled to eat 1 1/2 slices. I think I'll order it cut into 16 slices next time. The zucchini was meh at best. It's probably not fair this far east, but I rate all fried zucchini to Pittsburgh style zucchini. This was not it. I wouldn't waste my time on it again. I can't even remember the last time I've had Sicilian pizza this good. I don't know when I'll be back in the area but next time I'm definitely ordering pizza from Palermo's.

Wednesday, August 12- lunch I rarely, if ever, write…read morenegative reviews, and I would have much preferred to handle this situation privately with a manager. Unfortunately, because I was not given the opportunity to do so, I feel I have no alternative but to share our experience. We decided to give Primanti Bros. in Hershey a try for lunch today, but unfortunately, we never even made it to ordering. From the moment we walked in, the young blonde hostess was unwelcoming and incredibly short with us. There was no greeting. She asked if we needed children's menus, and when I said we needed two, her response was simply that she only had one. There was no offer to get another one or even a friendly acknowledgment. We asked to sit outside, and she took us to a table in the direct sun, put the menus down, and walked away without saying anything. We asked if we could sit at another table that was outside but shaded. We were told no because it hadn't been wiped off yet and was dirty. Rather than offering to have it cleaned, she pointed us toward another table and walked away. Throughout the interaction, she was short, rolled her eyes, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than guests. At that point, we decided to leave. What was even more disappointing was what happened when I called immediately afterward. I specifically asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to give management the opportunity to address the situation directly rather than post a negative review. The same hostess apparently answered the phone and refused to put me through to a manager unless I first told her what the call was about. When I said I preferred to discuss the matter directly with the manager, she asked, "Are you the one who just walked out of here that I was trying to seat?" She told me the manager, April, would not be available for at least an hour, but continued to insist that I could not speak with her unless I first explained the situation to the hostess. We are local and had decided to give Primanti Bros. a try, but after this experience, we won't be returning. We ended up going across the street to The Grill instead, which was wonderful. What is most frustrating is that this entire situation could have been handled with a little kindness and basic customer service. And even after the poor experience, I was willing to address it privately and give management an opportunity to respond. Unfortunately, I wasn't given that opportunity. A hostess is often the first impression of a restaurant, and unfortunately, ours was bad enough that we chose to walk out before we ever ordered. I genuinely hope management sees this review and uses it as an opportunity to address how guests are welcomed and how concerns are handled.

Some of the best customer service we have ever experienced!…read more We had been at a ChocolateTown wrestling tournament since 7 AM and had an incredibly long day. By the time we were finally done, most restaurants were already closed. We called this restaurant close to 10 PM, and from the moment the hostess answered the phone, we were treated with such kindness and genuine hospitality. We arrived around 10 PM, and not once did we feel like we were an inconvenience or that anyone was trying to rush us out the door. Quite the opposite. From the hostess, to Chef Suli, to our waitress, everyone was absolutely amazing. They were warm, personal, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. What impressed us even more was the food. Even though it was late, nothing felt rushed. The food was prepared with care, and the food was absolutely amazing! You have to order the Babe's wings, the crab stuffed pretzel, and brisket sandwich with the homemade potato chips everything was delicious ! After such a long, exhausting day, this was exactly what we needed. While great food is always important, it's service like this that truly leaves a lasting impression. We live 2 hours away and aren't able to come often, but this experience was so memorable that next year it will definitely be on our must-visit list. A huge thank you to Chef Suli, our waitress, the hostess, and the entire team for taking such great care of us. You turned the end of a very long day into such a wonderful experience.
