Large space with a lot of tables of 4. There's maybe 4 larger tables that would fit 6 in the back. Had the hotpot option. It was alright. Looked at the reviews before heading there and obviously everyone has different taste buds but the previous reviews weren't lying when they said it was bland and the service wasn't great. I had kimchi but my usual go to at hotpot places is Tom yum. I tried asking to have Tom yum since they had a small soup option for the kitchen menu but they said no. Kimchi literally tasted like water and they just threw some kimchi with the juices in there. Thank god I know how to cook and was able to add some extra seasoning myself and mixed it with the Szechuan spicy broth. The tomato broth tastes like tomato stew as expected. NOTE: bring your own fresh chili peppers! The jalapeno is not spicy at all lol We ordered some apps. Spicy salmon roll, the spicy chicken wings, lava roll, rock shrimp tempura. The spicy chicken wings weren't as tasty. It was spicy but not a yummy spice. It taste like that chili paste you put in porridge. The rock shrimp tempura roll was good but could've added a little more time in the fryer (i liked the sauce) All in all, I'd come back after a few months to see if they have improved.

Been here a few times now and it will be my to go AYCE hotpot/kbbq place in Lowell from now on with my friend group. Vicky was extremely friendly and polite, made the best drinks I've had in a downtown place. The broth for me was flavorful, had the pork bone broth and added some spice to it from the sauce bar. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. Enough so where it's convinced me to actually leave a review to try and support the local business. Hope everyone at least gives it a try!

It was also, apparently, less salty, presumably for the same reason. The amount of kimchi in the "sample" was so plentiful as to almost fill up the mini cup we used for takeout. They have a large selection of vegetarian and vegan food, as well as some gluten free items, though they lack the staff and kitchen size to accommodate celiacs, so it's really more of use for people on elimination diets or with poor digestive capabilities. The owner had prior training in Italian cuisine, which is the reason such food is on the menu, and while neither my father nor I had occasion to try it, it is apparently a passion of the chef's, and the shared discussion of their mutual interest in Italian cooking may be the reason my father was given a free "sample" of kimchi, which was larger than the paid order of kimchi at most other restaurants. The food portions, in general, are massive, with the leftovers of an order of wonton soup not fitting in a to-go canister, with other orders being similarly large. Their jasmine tea is unusual for its slight fruity flavor, and ability to "overbrew" without becoming bitter, instead maintaining its delicate flavor. Each table has condiments, which in addition to including the "normal" chili crisp, and fish sauce often found at Asian restaurants that provide table condiments, have the more western pepper grinder, as well as garlic salt. Curiously, there is no "normal" salt as often found at western restaurants, though bottles of sriracha are found at every table. Perhaps the garlic salt and sriracha are the restaurant's "unique twist"?

Still excellent, still sweet (though now more noticeably spicy too), and still important to remind that the dishes here are not necessarily attempting authentic cuisine of specific regions (even though specific dishes are named), but more of a freestyle approach. The wings have improved in recent visits. More plump, more crisp, more juice, more flavor. Still good value. Still a little weak on the service (more about being young, unfocused and lacking initiative than anything approaching rudeness). Still highly recommended.

Approachable menu with as much fusion as authentic Korean. -- Chicken Wings: Jumbo wings with extra crispness and an inner texture varying between sufficiently moist and gushingly juicy, depending on the piece. Always liked them, and I tried twice more recently with similar positive results. Excellent flavor in both the Soy Garlic and the Sweet and Spicy Gochujang. Superb, and with no price hikes in at least five years, now an excellent value too. -- Kimchi Pancake: Crispy on the edges and fluffier inside, with kimchi adding some crunch and nice flavor to go with the starch. Thin dark sauce to complement it. I think of it as a Korean cross between scallion pancake and egg foo yong. Good for sharing. -- Seafood Jampong: A large bowl of seafood stew with a red broth that has some creaminess as well as spice. Nice texture and chock full of large mussels, scallops, shrimp (gigantic Gulf shrimp as well as baby shrimp), Asian squid, and noodles. The squid was a little chewy, but everything else was cooked beautifully. This dish satisfied both in the restaurant and as leftovers the next day. Good choice for family meal, date meal, or chowing with the buds meal.

Friendly staff, easy ordering, though very small subset of the full offerings, with only 3 egg roll types available (the brick-and-mortar location has 16). These are smaller egg rolls, more along the lines of a Vietnamese egg roll or a mini version of a Chinese spring roll. Know going in that this isn't going to be something you'd get on an old school pupu platter. Also know that you gotta order in pairs that can't be mixed. So if getting two, it's two of the same kind. I found a trading buddy. Buffalo Chicken Egg Roll ($5 for 2): Soft, tender meat, a little dry, a little spicy. Served with a tiny container of blue cheese for dipping. Cheeseburger Egg Roll ($5 for 2): Soft, crumbly meat, good moisture, cheese melted in, good ratio of protein to shell. Served with a tiny container of ketchup for dipping. General Gau's Chicken ($16 for plate): Think McNuggets, with a similar size and flat shape, only higher quality. Moist. Batter not crisp at all, but when is it crisp even at a Chinese restaurant? Lacking in the sauce and flavor departments. More of a clear, thin glaze than a sauce, and needed more of it. Served with white rice and pickled cabbage. Solid portion.

Wasabi Shumai: Nice nasal jolt. Softer, looser, wetter, more finely ground inner texture than typical. Not warm at all. A little below average. Egg Rolls: Crisp outside, moistly stringy inside (in a good way), with decent flavor. Could use more stuffing, and it's cabbage based (some hate, but I don't), but it worked. A little above average. Moo Shi Beef: Big, tender beef chunks in surprising abundance-- around 70% protein, which is practically unheard of. Vegetables crunchy and moist, as opposed to swimming in liquid. Four pancakes were enough. Above average. Mongolian Beef: Another surprise here, as it arrived sizzling. More big chunks of tender beef, sitting atop onions and other vegetables beneath. Not much crusting or additional flavor, but the natural beef flavor and just enough juices to keep it going were sufficient. A little above average. House Fried Rice: Light brown grains, but plenty of beef, pork, and shrimp to add both flavor and moisture, taking it to a middle ground between subgum fried and yang chow. Some egg, some peas, some carrots, some saltiness (noticeable but not problematic). Above average. Nothing hit elite, but good time for sure, and for a sushi-first restaurant merely sidelining in Chinese, more than respectable.

We came in between lunch and dinner hours, but chose dinner because it just has more options for $39.99. By more, I mean we can order three kinds of seafood (shrimp, mussels, and calamari) and 2 more cuts of beef. They didn't have much variety on the tablet, but they did have fishballs/quail eggs/veggies/noodles at the self serve bar. Honestly it was pretty pricey for the selection, as well as the time limit they put on us despite the restaurant being pretty empty. I feel it's common for ayce places to have a time limit on eating, but there was a time limit on ordering here too. However, the moment we tasted the broth, that was worth it. I've never had such good tom yum broth at a hotpot place! It definitely elevated the rest of the experience. They also put care into making things look nice, so that's a plus. Our server were pretty clear with time limit and all that, so it wasn't a surprise. Everyone was really nice as well! Overall, a positive experience. First, the selection at the self-serve bar has become very limited compared to before. They still have a 90-minute dining limit, which is standard, but they've now added a hidden rule that we had never been told about: you can only place orders during the first 60 minutes of the meal. What makes this worse is how they apply it. More than half of our party arrived a bit later, and the first few people who arrived were told to go ahead and start by choosing the soup bases. What they did not tell us was that this action would start the 60-minute countdown, even though not everyone had arrived and no actual eating had begun. By the time everyone was there and ready to order, most of that hour had already passed--without any warning from staff. On top of that, the portions they bring out are extremely small, and the serving speed is painfully slow. We would finish what little they brought each round and end up just sitting and waiting for the next one, which made the 60-minute ordering window feel even more restrictive and unfair. When we asked about this unclear policy, we were told to wait for the manager--who took nearly 20 minutes to come over. And when she finally arrived, she spoke to us with a condescending attitude and essentially said, "What more can you expect for $29.99?" The contempt in her tone was shocking. I'm not sure how other customers feel, but we're done with this place. We won't be coming back and we DO NOT recommend it to anyone. No restaurant should treat customers with that level of disrespect.
