It was not appreciated that she made it appear that we owed her for serving us and it was not necessary to state "You're in Canada, you should know better" We are seasoned travellers and have travelled far beyond Canada and although tipping is encouraged, it should not be shoved into the faces especially on tourists. Her "attentiveness" and "smiles" were only after a huge tip. Immediately her whole persona changed when it was not to her liking. The restaurant should properly train and maybe hire "True" Canadians after all in her own words "You're in Canada, you should know better"

I'm huge fan of Negronis so when I saw "Spicy Negroni" it was must try. The Mussels were steamed in white wine, cream, shallots, mushrooms and fresh herbs and served warm pita. They were fresh and flavorful, perfectly seasoned and served in a rich broth that begged to be soaked up with pita bread. Entree selected as the Lemon Sesame Schnitzel, it was a pork loin breaded with lemon zest, sesame seeds and ground crispy rice then fried. This was served with potato salad made with new potato chunks mixed with chorizo and green onion aioli, this was atop some arugula (could have left off the arugula). Black sesame seeds were a great ingredient to the breading giving in unique flavor. The schnitzel was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, every bite was a delight! Service was attentive and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend The Raven for anyone looking for top-notch food and a cozy, welcoming vibe.
