We visited Earls Kitchen + Bar for a quick, late night dinner. It was lively and quite busy when we went, but had a nice, warm ambiance. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating along with some outdoor patio seating. We checked in with the host and got seated soon after. It was quite loud inside, but not too bad. The dinner menu is quite extensive with multiple options for appetizers and entrees. The bonus was the great happy hour menu, which had several options. Unfortunately, they were out of the tacos and charred corn + avocado dip. But we were able to order crispy chicken skewers, pizza, petite steak frites, and chips and salsa. The portions were larger than expected, and when ordering, I initially thought that we would need more food, but then changed my mind later. Customer service was excellent and wonderful. Our server, Laura was friendly and welcoming. She answered a few questions, checked in regularly, and had suggested a great mocktail, which was nice and refreshing. After a long hike in the rain we were ready for a tasty meal with drinks! Since this place had great reviews we took a chance and wern't disappointed. I have to admit I may of groaned a bit climbing the flight of stairs up to the restaurant after a verticle climb up a mountain earlier, however the trek up was worth it. We were seated right away, and greated by Maddy soon after although wern't ready to place our drink orders quite yet. After a bit we had moved onto the menu choices where Maddy hadnt come back and was having a casual chat for a while with the bar tender so I walked over and asked to place our drink orders. Since they wern't busy and we were thirsty we were both a tad annoyed as we felt a little forgotten. I ordered the Cabernet and my guy the Rhino Hazy IPA draft. My wine was delishious although pricey for an 8oz glass. We both agreed the IPA was a bit heavy on the citrus notes so my guy opted for the The Apex Predator Ale on the next round which was much better. The food came out quickly where I had the Truffle Tortellini with cajun shrimp with Maddy's suggestion and it was SO good! My guy had the Alfredo with chicken which to both of us was a bit bland. After a while of the food being dropped off Maddy came around where we asked for some salt and pepper and parmesan which did help the alfredo dish. I ordered a second glass of 5oz wine, less than the already costly 8oz pour but our server brought the 8oz pour. She apologized when I told her was pretty sure I ordered the 5oz but told her I would just keep it. This place has good food, a nice kind of trendy atmosphere which is updated and stylish, with a good menu. Our service wasn't top notch but have had way worse and we thought Maddy was nice at least. Very nice restaurant with "American" fare (labeled Canadian since we are in Canada ). The menu is extensive with varied cuisine. I ordered lump crab cakes. They were excellent. Lots of crab and just the right amount of fillers. The salad was fresh with light dressing. The music was very good (well my kind of music ). Amazing food - clearly the best we had in Jasper. So much variety! They had everything from Pasta to Kung Pao to Chicken Biryani and quite a few plant based options for vegans! The complimentary garlic bread was pretty good as well. Everything we had was excellent in quality and tasted freshly prepared. The food was good. The truffle tortellini with sautéed prawns was over-rated by other reviews. We ordered based on what was written previously and was disappointed. The sautéed prawns were like boiled shrimps. Tortellini was a little hard (undercooked?). Steak and frittes were better than average. Could be better if service was better. We asked for salt and pepper shaker twice and did not get it until 20 minutes later. So I'm eating my steak slowly so I get a chance to season it. Keep in mind the steak sits in a hot plate so my med-rare became well by the time I finished. Having that said the waitress finally brings the salt when I am all done. So I seasoned the fries instead. Steak is bland to start. The decor of the place is modern and very clean. Great view. If you try this - try something else but you must have their deserts. I give this place a higher rating only because of their creme bule and banana cream pie. read more

We made a reservation long in advance because we were requesting the service elevator for my decrepit parents. We got that figured out. Sat at a nice table for 4. My parents loved the giant bowl of clam chowder with garlic bread. I thought my eggs Benny tasted great, even though it's on toast. My husband enjoyed the Southwest salad, but wisely asked for the Pico de Gallo on the side. It was mostly red onion and green pepper. Mushy and old. The server forgot to bring my husband's beer. No apologies. The decaf coffees were great tasting. Freshly made. My dad's regular coffee was finally brought out as he was finishing his meal. The server disappeared to have a smoke, so we waited quite a while to pay. My weak, old mother doesn't have enough strength to open the bathroom door. It's a very stiff hydraulic set up. So send along a body guard. We used the elevator again to exit. It fits 2 ppl. So we had 2 trips. Someone has to keep the button pushed down at all times. So who watches the fox and the duck? The problem in Jasper is the lack of accessibility for persons using wheelchair and walker. Mom couldn't have done it without us. read more

First time visiting Earl's and Jasper. We sat outside. It was 14°C but the heater worked very well. Actually got too hot for my hubby. Music inside was a little loud so we chose to sit outside, which was much nicer! We loved everything we ordered! Really happy with the garlic prawn pasta, Blue Hawaiian, New England Clam Chowder and the tuna poke bowl. Food was fresh,nicely seasoned. The chowder was made with real clams (with a tiny bit of sand, but we didn't mind). Our waiter Jay was very nice, friendly and attentive. Would definitely visit again. Such a nice experience. Had our son in a wheelchair.. they offered to bring him up the loading dock as they're not wheelchair accessible (which we knew before we reserved). We chose to carry him up instead. Other patrons were lovely and moved out of the way. Manager got us to our table, no problem. Very accommodating and working with the environment they got. We were a large group. Arrived in Jasper late in the day. We were able to book a reservation within a reasonable time. Had an amazing rooftop view on the outdoor patio. Food was great -server was delightful. The inside of the restaurant looked very nice as well. There were a lot of stairs up to the restaurant so not sure how great that would be for anyone with disabilities or a bum knee kinda thing but maybe there was another way to get up there. read more

They were able to get our group of 8 a table pretty quickly during a very busy night. The service, ambiance, and food were all excellent. The street corn had a really good flavor and the warm spinach+3 cheese dip had unlimited focaccia bread which everyone enjoyed. I thought the clam chowder was unique. It definitely contained a healthy amount of clam and overall taste was good. My kids really enjoyed their food: filet mignon and margarita pizza. Chicken biryani, a dish that felt like it definitely didn't belong with the rest of the menu, was also ordered by others in our party and they also liked it. The desserts might have been even better than the mains: creme brûlée and sticky toffee chocolate pudding were both devoured. It was probably the best creme brûlée I've ever tasted. read more

What a cute restaurant and bar in Jasper! Didn't expect such an amazing food scene here. Earls really surprised me. It is located on the second floor with beautiful mountain views. They have excellent alcoholic beverages. We came for a lunch so we skipped the drinks. For the entree, I had their amazing Mother Earth Bowl! It is absolutely delicious. The bowl has many ingredients that I love, such as roasted yams, broccoli pesto. The white balsamic dressing was light and yet flavorful. This totally hit the spot for me. I was craving salad but not the typical one. They really delivered on it! I was very impressed how these ingredients mixed together and provided such delightful plate. The Cajun flavored shrimp was also amazing. I couldn't have enough of it! We also tried their Steak Frites. Perfectly cooked amazing steak. The service was hands-down amazing. We happened to come here during happy hour which is from 3-6. They have several good food and drink deals during this time. We got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich (happy hour special) and the Chicken, Fig, and Brie sandwich. Both were fantastic. We upgraded one of the fries too garlic fries and both fries were great. My only complaint about the food is that the sandwiches were small, especially the Chicken, Fig, and Brie. The food was great, the service was great. I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

Omg our best eating experience in Jasper! We got this reco from someone and at first we didn't really have much expectations since it was a chain restaurant but wow was everything amazing! We got there right In time for happy hour and were able to sit outside on the rooftop patio for the amazing views. We ordered the spicy tuna tacos and pizza as apps to share and wow the pizza was so yummy! We also got a bunch of different drinks from the menu and they were delicious. I got a raspberry Margarita and I told them I don't like too sweet drinks and they accommodated that and made mine less sweet. We all got different dishes for entrees and everything was delicious. I was skeptical because the menu had such different variety from American to Japanese to Indian so I wasn't expecting the food to really be super authentic and have rich flavors but it all was amazing! Solid pick in downtown Jasper with plenty of classic and easy to please options. Came in for lunch on a weekday and there was lots of available seating on the rooftop deck - score! I kept things simple with a grilled chicken sandwich with a side of rice. The grilled chicken sandwich was tasty but not as simple as I would have hoped. It was coated in a ton of seasoning and had alot of mayo on it. The seasoning had a nice smoky flavor but unfortunately the chicken was really burnt and was so black and charred that the slice of cheese underneath was basically black. I would have preferred the chicken a little less burnt, but it was still tasty! The side of rice was actually the star of the show, it was sticky and fragrant and similar to coconut rice that I've had at Thai restaurants. I wasn't feeling any drinks but they had a ton of cocktails and cheap beers on draft. My fiance really enjoyed his beer and fried chicken sammie. Not much more to share because my lunch here was pretty simple, but overall I had a good experience at this cute little eatery in the heart of downtown Jasper. read more
