This was hands-down the worst meal my husband and I had on our entire trip to Canada. We dined here since we were staying at the lodge. They insisted we have a reservation, and when we showed up, the restaurant was completely empty. I'm not sure why the reservation was necessary but oh well. The view is stunning as it overlooks pyramid lake - which was the only positive this restaurant had going for it. Our server was kind but aloof. We decided to try a variety of their smaller plates since they sounded interesting. We started with their house rye brioche and shareable land and sea board. The brioche was probably the best part of the entire meal, and it's bread, so that isn't saying a lot. The land and sea board had some of the most bizarre and off-putting flavors I have ever tried in my life ... pickled grapes, and overly salty cured salmon. We hoped it was just a poor pick on our part and moved on to the cauliflower goat cheese gratin and charred beets. The goat cheese gratin was bland and lacked any real texture or flavor. The charred beets were cold and uncooked. As a final attempt at redemption, we ordered the Kennebec dumplings. I have NEVER been served raw dumplings before in my life and when I say that they are repulsive, they are repulsive. We brought this to the attention of our waitress and rather than apologize or offer something instead ... or even to remake them, she shrugged. And then charged us for them! Perhaps it was an off night ... but this meal was so bad, it was comical. We went back to our room and drank a bottle of wine to forget the whole experience.

After a long hike in the rain we were ready for a tasty meal with drinks!…read more Since this place had great reviews we took a chance and wern't disappointed. I have to admit I may of groaned a bit climbing the flight of stairs up to the restaurant after a verticle climb up a mountain earlier, however the trek up was worth it. We were seated right away, and greated by Maddy soon after although wern't ready to place our drink orders quite yet. After a bit we had moved onto the menu choices where Maddy hadnt come back and was having a casual chat for a while with the bar tender so I walked over and asked to place our drink orders. Since they wern't busy and we were thirsty we were both a tad annoyed as we felt a little forgotten. I ordered the Cabernet and my guy the Rhino Hazy IPA draft. My wine was delishious although pricey for an 8oz glass. We both agreed the IPA was a bit heavy on the citrus notes so my guy opted for the The Apex Predator Ale on the next round which was much better. The food came out quickly where I had the Truffle Tortellini with cajun shrimp with Maddy's suggestion and it was SO good! My guy had the Alfredo with chicken which to both of us was a bit bland. After a while of the food being dropped off Maddy came around where we asked for some salt and pepper and parmesan which did help the alfredo dish. I ordered a second glass of 5oz wine, less than the already costly 8oz pour but our server brought the 8oz pour. She apologized when I told her was pretty sure I ordered the 5oz but told her I would just keep it. This place has good food, a nice kind of trendy atmosphere which is updated and stylish, with a good menu. Our service wasn't top notch but have had way worse and we thought Maddy was nice at least. The food and drinks are pricey but would definitely return.

Great food, great service, good time!…read more Only issue is that the prawn appetizer seemed a bit steep for 4 prawns. Josh at the bar was awesome!

Parking lot right across from this place as street parking is super limited…read more Only 10% full Thursday at 8:30pm. Waiter was attentive and checked in multiple times and having a pitcher of water was nice so we didn't have to bother him so much. He did tell us that as we were paying that if we write a Google review you get a free drink (sangria or juice I think he said) on your Next visit. Tried the: Potato Gratin: 9/10, really grainy but could tell they used a lot of real cheese. Potato was perfectly cooked and I loved that there was lots of sauce. Very pretty presentation. Orange chicken: 8.5/10, chicken as super tasty but just too much ginger for me in the sauce. Rice was very very bland. Spiralized diakon/parsnip was a great light vegetable that Looked like raw onion but thankfully wasn't. Loved it. Drink, The Opener: 10/10. Size appears small but by the end of it I was done with it. Wow taste though. Boyfriend said you can taste the rum but I got more banana and minty. 100% would get again. Got pretty strong by the end but really liked the flavor combo And the color.

We stopped here for lunch after our hike in maligne lake! We couldn't find this restaurant on Yelp!…read moreWe just walked around town and found it! So glad we stopped here for lunch! Service was amazing and the food was delicious! I had the Shanghai noodles with beef! My friend had the Lamb shank! The noodles were just a little salty but had great flavor! The Lamb shank was cooked to perfection, very tender! It was a very pleasant stop for us!
